Hey, so, I just found out there's a new bug in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that can corrupt your save file? It hasn't happened to me yet (knock on wood), but I thought I'd share what little I've learned about it.
There are two error messages that may occur. Save Data Not Recognized (hereafter "NR") and Corrupted Data Was Found (hereafter "CD"). Of the two, NR is the more serious. There are apparently fixes for CD, but none yet for NR. The NR message is generated in the game itself, while the CD message is from the Switch.
It should be noted that NR appears to be a relatively rare issue, but it's always better to be prepared. The cause is still unknown. It does not appear to be linked to connecting to Pokémon Go or preordering the DLC. There is also at least one instance of somebody experiencing the issue before updating to Version 1.2.0.
If you experience the NR error, do not erase or overwrite your save data. It may still be recoverable. Contact Nintendo Support.
The CD error may be related to attempting the Walking Wake/Iron Leaves raids without updating to v1.2.0, or it might just be a thing that happens sometimes. But it is less serious and can be fixed.
If you experience the CD error, it can apparently be resolved by starting a new game on a second profile, saving, and then switching to your original profile. It may also be worthwhile to contact Nintendo Support in this instance as well. (I'd say do it even if this fix works for you. Let them know how broken this game is. Bemoan the fact that the "Official Nintendo Seal" used to actually mean something. But please be nice to the customer support agent; it's not their fault.)
You should also back up your entire SD card. Turn off your Switch, remove the microSD card, plug it into your computer, and copy all the files to your hard drive. (Update: This will not help with this issue as Pokémon does not save to the SD card, but it's still not a bad idea to back it up anyway.)

Serebii reports on Twitter that a new patch will be coming in late April that fixes the bad egg glitch from the 5 Star Paradox Raids. Hopefully, the save data glitches will receive a hotfix sooner than that, but it sounds like they're still not sure of the cause. However, Joe from Serebii has confirmed that TPCi/Nintendo are aware of the issue, and again, it is not linked to Pokémon Go or the DLC, but they're still not sure what the actual cause is. More details should be coming later, so check back on Serebii.net.

I would like to reiterate that this is a very rare issue. Of the 20 million+ copies sold, fewer than 100 people have experienced this issue. That's a fraction of a fraction of a percent. As u/madebypeppers on r/PokemonScarletViolet puts it, you have better odds of winning $1,000,000 from the Powerball.

Weird ass Resident Evil head cannons because my brain is too silly
Wesker 100% got bullied by Chris and Jill when he was working with S. T. A. R. S. and cried at least once from it.
The moment Ashely got home she started crying to emo nightcore music while downing an entire pack of shredded cheddar cheese.
Luis definitely grabbed Leon's ass at least once whenever he bent down, then got the same treatment from Leon.
Leon purposefully coughs very dramatically in front of people who smoke to make them feel bad.
Chris has frequent nightmares about marrying Jill just for her to turn out to be Wesker in disguise. Every single time he has that nightmare he wakes up in a cold sweat with tears streaming down his face like he just saw the most horrifying thing know to man.
Rebecca has a penis straw some where in her house. It was a gift from Jill.
Wesker is horribly afraid of horses. Any time he sees a horse he starts running away as fast as he can. One time a horse smiled at him and he started screaming in terror.
The only reason Claire wears a ponytail is because one time when she was younger she went to a public pool with Chris and got her hair stuck in one of the drains and had to get a short hair cut. She was bullied about it for years by Chris.
Sherry is obsessed with Pokemon, especially when Leon first started working with the government since he got a bunch of money, and had a Pokemon themed bedroom. Her favourite Pokemon is Sylveon. Leon's is Pikachu because he's a dumb idiot who never saw the appeal and just wanted to make Sherry happy.
William was incredibly nerdy to the point where Annette would sometimes tape his mouth shut while they worked or else her infodump about each way to use a syringe/suture needle/any sort of medical shit they had to use. Albert didn't mind it when he rambled, though.
Chris once pranked Albert by switching his artificial sugars for his coffee with salt and hiding laxatives in it as well. Albert has never forgave him.
Jill once smacked Chris so hard he fell over and folded like an omelette. His spine has never recovered.
Leon was 100% a fan of Oingo Boingo and Weird Al. I will not explain any further.
Ada gets her nails done every other month by the same nail tech. Rebecca is secretly the nail tech.
Leon once accidentally sat on one of Sherry's Plush Charizards and got screamed at for an hour. Sherry said that she didn't want his "butt cooties" on her dragon.
Ashley loves cheese. Specifically brie.
Leon sometimes stares outside of the windows in his home while zoning out and standing completely straight. He also falls asleep like that with his eyes open. Chris will sometimes join him in watching the outside except he stands like a dad and does that thing where he has some sort of nut in his hands and shakes them around before eating them.
Chris wants to have kids, more specifically a daughter, so when Leon was on missions and Claire had to babysit her, he'd try to bond with Sherry. Sherry was horribly afraid of him and would cry if she was picked up by him.
Chris once smacked Wesker so hard his glasses went flying off. Wesker immediately got on the floor and started searching for them Velma style.
Leon unironicaly goes "YEOWCH!" whenever he gets hurt.
In the helicopter, Carlos slung his arm around Jill to try and be hot. It backfired once he realized Jill was both sleeping and drooling all over his arm. Ew.
Leon coughs like an old man on hospice.
Wesker sneezes like a kitten, especially during serious situations. He goes, "I'LL FUCKING END YOU-Achoo! (｡>﹏<｡)"
William once mistook Albert for Anette when he was incredibly tired and kissed Wesker on the lips. Neither were complaining.

i’ve found the trials/case-cracking equal parts exciting and frustrating. i keep jumping too many steps ahead to the conclusion while the story insists on forcing a misdirection as part of how the plot’s meant to play out. regardless, i can’t wait to break my trash bf out of jail in 4.1.
i love how we’ve had these themes set up at the end of the 3.0 quests, and especially in that last area of sumeru + the nymph’s dream artifact set dropping all that lore about the naz-whatever institute.
speaking of, in ann’s quest the friends she had were petit chou, al, jak, kate, and mori. the folks mentioned in rene’s investigation notes and in other lore around fontaine are rene, ann, alain (guillotin), jakob, and…various others?? i’m workin from memory rn. they mention a director and vice director along with a mr. karl who, in the virgil quest, is described as the adopted father of those children.
al➡️alain and jak➡️jakob are easy, but what about kate, mori, and petit chou? also, the nymph’s dream set lore kind of implies that the “hero” becomes a villain or a dragon in the story, which i remember someone online thinking that was speaking metaphorically about rene who seems obsessed with the energy issues that the institute is studying which would make rene narcissus in ann’s quest. 🤔
unrelated to any of that, the designs or animals particularly birds in fontaine are so cute!! i’d absolutely make a pokemon team out of them.

if you dont mind me asking, how do you do the card renders?
so i'm not 100% sure how to answer this because its kinda vague - i'm not sure if you're asking about the card (image editing) part or the rendering process!
if you want to know about the process of getting the characters and areas into blender, i've written a few posts about that already - they're under the "toontown models" tag on my blog, so they shouldn't be too difficult to find. RAMBLING ABOUT IMAGE EDITING BELOW THE CUT EXCLAMATION MARK EMOJI! THIS ISN'T A TUTORIAL IT'S JUST ME TALKING!!!!
(only slightly related, but i'm putting it above the cut so more people might see it - i wrote some mock pokemon cards for managers a bit ago but i don't want to make them full images, would anyone be interested in me just posting those as text?)
the actual image editing part i do in photoshop! it's kind of a bad program but my usual art program dies when i try to do what i do for cards because it kinda struggles with text. i've started doing the text in-render for the cards recently, though, because it's kind of a blast?
it's probably obvious to anyone who's looked at them hard before, but my mock cards use the Series 1 Cog cards as a base (the official Disney ones)
they've just got a sort of weirdly unhinged vibe to them, they're so far off of the cogs representation in-game and kinda gives a look at (imo) how the cogs were originally imagined, as I feel that some of the card art is closer to original concept art (or probably is concept art) than it is close to in-game character appearances. man, Cold Callers card doesn't even look like the same guy! he's lanky here!
and i mean, kinda obvious, but i can't get the same level of craziness these cards are on with renders, but i can try. so i do! it's fun!
i don't know if anyone has really noticed it, but for the last handful of cards i've been opting for colouring the border of the card dependent on the department of the cog. green for cashbot, pink for sellbot, etc. here's a test i did of it a couple weeks back when i was playing around with the idea in my head (the renders were randomly chosen):
(the boardbot colour is kinda subtle - but that's just how it is in-game, exe bd skelecogs are super close to exe lb skelecogs, but maybe that's just my eyes)
the actual "process" of putting the card together once i've done the render is kinda just plopping the render into the .psd and telling photoshop what department the cog is (for the border colour) & then i'm done. the file is super simple, it's just a series 1 card but i edited everything out other than the border, bunch of layers connected to the border that give it the department colours, layer of a kinda-crappy filter i slap on to try and give it the same "feel" the card scans have, layer for the text (optional now that i do it in-render), layer with the render.
there's some extra fun stuff i try and do with effects in the renders, but i'm kinda new to messing around with blender stuff like that, so i try and hold it to a minimum. as an example, the CFO render is kinda hue-shifted so i could get the colours closer to what i was basing the lighting of the render off of! to use a better example of silly effects i used for a card, i'm gonna talk about this high roller card:
dude this thing took forever because i wanted to do Everything in-render (would've taken way less time if i wasn't stubborn). it's a bunch of layers and gradients and shine. i'm kind of tipping my hand here, but there's straight up just a blindingly bright cube in their hands that's making the shine, and then i kinda just. told blender to add a lens flare. and it did. i had to simulate rain for that one misty render and that was a time. y'know.
i actually have to finish up a commission where there's blinding light emitting from something and it's really really good and probably one of the best renders i have done and it is 99% thanks to the commissioner because the ask is So Good.
anyways that's kind of all i wanted to say. i hope this answered your question? maybe? was your question just "what do you make them in?" if so, it's blender and photoshop. sorry for making you read a text wall instead. at the risk of sounding too silly, i really like speaking about the things that i do, but i feel weird talking about them unprompted? so i took this as being prompted and talked.

rambling about feeling cringy even tho i shouldnt
i genuinely do not know why on the outside i seem like someone who does not give a shit what people think of me yet on the inside i am scared of doing anything cringe and having my friends hear about it and them thinking im a weird fuck when literally all of my friends do weird shit some of them weirder than me.
first of all im already cringe for seeing myself as a rabbit made out of void matter and as a demon and as an alien and as fuckin al/yx from half life like you really cant get more cringe than that.
but secondly i want to get into rp games where i can roleplay a character through text chat and literally the only game that fits the exact genre that i want is a fucking roblox game and im like "ugh why do i want to rp in a game that was originally targeted for kids thats so weird and cringe im 22" but literally like 40% of roblox users are over 17 plus 70% of developers are over 20 years old and roblox is now allowing people to make 17+ experiences like its embracing its more mature audience.
third, literally all i want to do is rp a mute character that walks around and gets into random shit for money thats already 100x better than those people that rp nazi soldiers and civil war veterans and are absolutely obsessed with the military and are racist as shit.
fourth i literally have friends that are obsessed with playing basically roblox versions of pokemon games and spend tons of money on them meanwhile i never spend money on something unless its like cosmetic or to support a game i genuinely enjoy.
fifth i have friends that arguably do more cringe stuff than i do my best friend in the whole world that i love and adore requests commissions of fetish porn openly on twitter literally anyone would find that more weird than wanting to rp a character in a roblox game
i have no reason what so ever to feel cringe about the stuff i do when the world is full of people that are weirder and maybe worse than me and IM the one being the pussy about it? literally what the fuck. no one even knows who i am in real life nothing matters but in a good way like i can do whatever i want cause its my life and as long as im not hurting anyone its not weird i know who i am and i know im not a bad person and i have a brain thats smart enough to not do shit i shouldnt be doing.
i can do whatever i want cause im cool and i should accept that i have weird things about me and that im a weird fucker but not a bad weird im a good weird where i just want to have fun like everyone else because i deserve it.

So, the other day, I unintentionally triggered a cutscene in Pokémon Scarlet that I was really not expecting. I remarked that I clearly wasn't as done with the DLC's story as I had thought, completely unaware that there was an epilogue planned and that it was, in fact, coming out the day after I said that. I was just trying to look up if there was something else I was supposed to do after triggering that cutscene, but it turns out that, in that specific instance, I actually was done with the story. The epilogue had nothing to do with that cutscene. It was still very fun, though.
(As always, spoilers under the cut)
You can't just have Terapagos bring Sada back to the future for 5 minutes, have her give me her copy of the Scarlet Book, not let me use the Scarlet Book or talk to Arven about it, and then say that's the end of that!!! My only hope is that maybe you can finally resolve that plot if you invite him as a guest coach enough times, but I've been too busy filling out the Pokédex to deal with that yet.

Let me ramble a bit about: Goodween (headcanons)
Ja. Goodween headcanons. Wobei vermutlich jeder Gedanke zu Goodween ein Gedanke mehr ist als sich Andre Minniger je zu ihm gemacht hat. Headcanons zu Charakteren, die so wenig (sprich: gar keine) screentime haben, sind immer wie eine weiße Leinwand, auf die man alles malen kann - also: hehe, ich hab mit dieser Liste einfach nur Spaß :) Denglish ahoi! Weil sehr lang, hier ein cut:
Goodween ist tatsächlich ein sehr großer und offener Fan der Drei Fragezeichen! Er freut sich immer, wenn sie mit einem Fall ins Revier kommen und verfolgt sehr gespannt ihren Werdegang! Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass er einen sehr jüngeren Bruder oder Neffen im Alter der Drei Fragezeichen hat und er deshalb etwas mehr “down with the kids” ist; zu den Fragezeichen sogar regelrecht kameradschaftlich und manchmal ein Vermittler zwischen Cotta und den Fragezeichen, wenn die Wellen mal wieder besonders hochgeschlagen sind? (So im Sinne von: “Ich schau mal, ob Cotta sich da zu was überreden lässt”)
Er ist ein bisschen jünger als Cotta (so vier/fünf Jahre maybe) - aber da wir keine Ahnung von Cottas Alter haben, hat auch Goodween dementsprechend kein festes Alter
Der Vorname ist auch so ein Ding. Ich mag mich nicht festlegen und vermutlich bleibt es trotz headcanon für immer bei ‘Goodween’, aber ich finde den Namen Deion ziemlich gut?? Aber Caleb, Emmett und sogar Ethan fände ich passend.
Der Nachname ‘Goodwin’ ist übrigens in Kalifornien sehr vertreten und scheint zumindest in England eine tiefe Vergangenheit zu haben. ‘Goodween’ scheint es hingegen gar nicht zu geben (was mir jetzt schon wieder eine Idee für eine witness protection FF gibt, die ich nie schreiben werde, ARGH. Goodween frisch im Zeugenschutzprogramm und Cotta, sein zugewiesener FBI-Agent, and there was only one bed, you know what i mean!!).
Er hat einen Hund namens Captain. Der Schäferhund ist ein ehemaliger Polizeihund (und, ja, in der Realität werden diese Tiere furchtbar abgerichtet und sind hinterher psychisch komplett ruiniert, aber das hier ist meine fantasy und hier gehts allen gut und alles ist prima - auch bei den Hunden), der in den Ruhestand gegangen ist aus Altersgründen. Goodween hat sich damals freiwillig gemeldet, als dessen ehemaliger Besitzer und Partner ihn nicht mit nach Hause nehmen konnte (gut, ganz perfekt ist es in meiner fantasy auch nicht, ok?)
Captain is the goodest boi that ever was und ist ganz zufrieden mit seinem Ruhestand. Seine Lieblingsbeschäftigungen sind jetzt: den Bauch gekrault bekommen, diese eine Stelle hinter dem Ohr gekrault bekommen und die feindlichen Eichhörnchen aus dem Garten vertreiben, danach gönnt man sich ein Nickerchen.
I’m pretty sure, dass ein Polizeihund in Amerika nicht Captain heißen dürfte, weil das mit dem echten Captain der Polizei vielleicht nicht vereinbar wäre, aber... äh ... (hier gute Ausrede einfügen)
Goodween wollte seit seiner Kindheit einen Hund (you know: der große Kinderwunsch), konnte allerdings nie einen bekommen, weil ein Familienmitglied schrecklich allergisch war oder so etwas in der Art.
Goodween ist sehr sportlich und geht regelmäßig joggen (manchmal auch mit Captain, wenn er Lust hat), in seiner Freizeit geht er auch gern wandern und fährt im Urlaub in andere Staaten, um dort die Natur zu erkunden (I can’t relate, so no more details about this - er ist einfach sportlich und bewegt sich gern, fertig)
ansonsten ist Goodween a little bit on the nerdier side of things: er ist ein großer Fan von Fantasy-Scheiß (aber nicht von Science Fiction Scheiß, um mal eine Anspielung auf die Känguru-Chroniken hier unter zu bringen). Sein Lieblingsfilm ist die Herr der Ringe-Trilogie und ja, Cotta musste sich den extended cut ansehen.
Goodween ist nicht der größte gamer, aber eine Playstation und eine Switch hat er definitiv, um sich nach Feierabend runter zu bringen. Dementsprechend würde ich eher Single-Player-Spiele sehen, die nicht so plotheavy sind. Also Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Zelda maybe? Würde gut in die Fantasy Kategorie passen und Goodween wäre mir derjenige, der alle 900 Krog-Samen finden will, Assassin’s Creed? (auch wenn die teilweise ‘ne Menge Plot haben), Witcher? (gleiches Problem, aber Wild Hunt ist einfach passend für Fantasy)
charakterlich ist er ist positiv, a pure ray of sunshine, meist gut gelaunt, lässt sich nicht entmutigen, er ist so ein “you can do it if you really try it / believe in it” Typ (und für die angst™ basiert das natürlich auf einer angsty backstory und einem struggle in seinem Aufwachsen, idk, mir ist gerade nicht nach angst), er ist freundlich zu jedem - kann aber verbal austeilen, wenn ihm jemand quer kommt
apropro que(e)r: er ist offen schwul (und mit offen meine ich: wenn ihn jemand direkt fragt oder das Thema aufkommt, gibt er eine klare Antwort - hätte jemand (Cotta) ihn einfach mal offen und ehrlich gefragt und sich nicht auf der Arbeit in the closet versteckt (nothing wrong there, honestly), dann hätte es nicht so lange gedauert, bis ihre Beziehung überhaupt mal gestartet wäre!)
in dem Cotta/Goodween Universum, in dem ich dauerhaft lebe, zieht Goodween Cotta gerne mal damit auf, dass der so ernste und “es wird sich an die Regeln gehalten, Jungs!”-Cotta einen klitzekleinen crush auf einen bestimmten Kunstdieb hat, der die Polizei von Rocky Beach komplett bloßgestellt hat
Caroline und er verstehen sich übrigens prima and bond regularly über Dad!Cotta Kommentare

You walked down the ramp of the boat that had brought you to Galar, now your new home. The port was full of people boarding boats and getting off them.
"Hey! Over here!" You heard someone loudly speaking, and turned your head towards them. It was Nessa, your longtime friend you'd be staying with until you could get your own place. You grinned and waved before hesitating as you noticed the men and young boy around her. The tall, dark one had a hoodie which you could only assume was made to resemble a dragon's stomach. The young boy was being held by a man with long white and black hair, who looked like he hadn't had sleep in years. The boy had a mask over his face, and suspenders you raised an eyebrow at.
To Nessa's left, stood a slightly pale man with pink hair. He was conversing with the first man you noticed, so you silently thanked Arceus that he didn't notice your stare. As you walked to Nessa you tried looking at anywhere other than him.
"Glad you made it here safe." Nessa walked up to you and wrapped you in a hug which you returned.
She kept an arm around you as she led you back to the guys. "Alright, guys. Be cool. This is my friend from Kanto, don't be weird. It's their first time here in Galar. Y/n, these are the other gym leaders. We have.."
"Raihan." She gestured to the tall dark one in the hoodie, who flashed a grin at you. You noticed a fang in his teeth and smiled back.
"Piers- and Allister. It was Piers' turn to babysit. Allister's a gym leader too." Piers was speaking with the other, still unnamed male. Allister turned towards you slightly and lifted his hand to wave. You were about to greet him back but he turned to Piers' shoulder again. Piers nodded his head at you as he finished the conversation.
"And..Milo." Nessa gestured to the last one, who you finally made eye contact with. His eyes widened, his mouth slightly opened.
"H-Hi." Milo said after a few seconds and held out his hand to shake yours. You took it and smiled at him, a dorky grin now showing up on his face.
"Alright, you can let go, Milo." Nessa snickered and took one of the bags from you as you finally let go of Milo's hand.
"Right! Sorry." He stepped back and rubbed the back of his neck, looking away at the other boats.
"Hope you don't mind, they wanted to help you move in. Rai, help me with this." Nessa gestured to your suitcase you had been wheeling behind you. He reached for it and you handed it to him, thanking Raihan in the process.
Nessa then led you to her home, the guys following along.
Every so often, you would glance to Milo and smile.
Almost every time, he was glancing to you too.

"You totally got the hots for Nessa's friend." Raihan grinned. "It's obvious, just ask 'em out already!"
It had been a few weeks since your first meeting, but it hadn't been your only one. Milo would often hang out with the other gym leaders solely in hopes of seeing you.
Milo, Raihan, and Piers were walking around Hammerlocke. They had more casual wear as to not be bothered too much, or given that much attention.
"How?" Milo groaned and ran his fingers through his hair. "I don't have the guts for it, they're just so.." He sighed dreamily and he could feel a blush creeping up on his cheeks.
"Dude, just say it. It's so obvious you like y/n, just tell 'em already." Piers bluntly replied.
"It's not that easy. They're from Kanto, they're- ughhh. Everything they do is so cool, what if there's cool people waiting in Kanto for them? How do I compete with that? And don't even get me started on how cute they are. Have you guys ever seen someone from Galar look that good?"
"Everyday in the mirror." Raihan quickly answered.
As they walked, Milo kept going on and on.
"And I don't like them either. I just think they're nice." He finally huffed out and walked away with pink cheeks, having reached the station to go back to Turffield.
"We're gonna help him, right?"
"Yeah, no shit."

This quickly caught Nessa's attention and she turned from the fridge which she was standing at. Her eyes were slightly widened.
"I think it's cute, how he gets..he's so easy to make blush, and he has the cutest freckles too." You blushed a little as you sat down at the counter then looked up at Nessa, who was smirking. "What?"
"Nothing, nothing."
"I wanna see if he might ask me out soon- not that I like him. He's just nice looking. Goodness, his muscles too-" You rested your cheek on your open palm and continued. "He could snap me in half and I would thank him!"
Nessa snorted, "Calm down! I'm sure everything will turn out fine, stop drooling over him on my counter. Are you hungry by the way? I can make something for us."
You nodded and continued thinking of him as you got up from the counter and left, not noticing Nessa taking out her phone. She opened it and immediately went to a groupchat she had with Raihan and Piers.
Nessa: Hey. Y/n totally likes Milo.
Piers: That's good, Milo never shuts up about 'em.
Raihan: ha , ur gonna have to make milos dead body ask them out
Piers: I hate how you type so much.
Nessa: Guys!! I have an idea, but you'll both have to do ABSOLUTELY nothing.
Raihan: fine w me
Nessa continued typing away, constantly bringing both males back to her idea because their attention kept going back to Raihan's typing. She grinned, knowing you had no idea what waited.

You stepped out of a flying taxi at Turffield's Pokemon Center. Nessa told you to put on clothes you were comfortable and felt good in, and that she would catch up later when she was ready. It was already nighttime but you didn't mind.
Nessa told you that you would all be meeting in Milo's flower fields. The thought of finally seeing it in person excited you, you always saw Milo's work online and his plants and farm in general looked beautiful. You smiled a little and walked faster in the farm's direction.
Once you got to the fence you saw Milo almost instantly. He was in casual wear too, wearing a dark green hoodie, black jeans and normal black shoes. The simplicity of his clothing and how good he managed to look in it made you shyly grin.
"Hey! Glad you could come!" Milo walked over to the fence and opened the gate part to let you in. You two now stood inside, in front of the gate and facing Turffield.
"You look good." You said once he was turned away from you again, looking down at the fence.
"Th-Thank you. You look really good too!" He rubbed the back of his neck then realized what he said. "Not that you said I look really good- I just meant, you look good. Better than me! Or probably anyone!" He rambled and now shoved his hands in his hoodie pocket, flustered.
You giggled then stood in comfortable silence with Milo for a few minutes, often exchanging smiles.
"Shouldn't they be here by now..?" Milo finally asked. He looked around with a confused expression and took out his phone. He held it up so you could see as well, and you both stepped closer to one another.
Milo: Hey, where are you guys?
Raihan: got stuck babysitting al , TOTALLY forgot it was my turn today lol
Piers: Emergency sibling movie night.
Nessa: I have to do some stuff that came up at the gym.
Milo: So you guys aren't coming?
Raihan: no sirrrr
Piers: No.
Nessa: Sorry, but no.
You and Milo paused for a few moments and just stared at his screen. Then you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket. You took it out then saw a notification from Nessa.
Ness: Have fun on your date, thank me later. ;)
You blushed and grumbled, then took a slight step away from Milo so he wouldn't see you typing, 'This isn't a date!' as a reply.
Milo stared at the texts he now got from Piers and Raihan.
Piers: Since you couldn't do it, we set it up for you. Good luck on your date.
Rai: LMFAO ur welcome dude
Milo's face flushed as he also began to send a text of protest that it wasn't a date.
"Hey, since they aren't coming- I can go. Really." You stated and pointed your finger to the gate sheepishly. You put your phone in your pocket and smiled meekly at him.
"No, that's fine! I..actually really want you to stay." He also put his phone away and smiled shyly. "I wanna know you better, you're Nessa's friend but I want you to be my friend too."
His words made your face flush, the thought of being his anything made you have to suppress a grin.
"You're right..I wanna know you better too, Milo. And uh- what better way than to-" You finally made eye contact with him and you swore you could have felt your heart stop. "Spend more time together?"
Milo couldn't help himself, he grinned the same dorky grin from the day you first met. "Yeah! I'll show you the fields, and don't worry about getting dirty. The Wooloo and just about everything else are already in their stalls- they won't bother us."
As he finished speaking, you nodded. "I'd love to see the fields."
"Come on, and be careful going up the hill over here. Uh- actually-" Milo now held out his hand to you. "If you're fine with it that is!" His blush came back, and you stared with warm eyes at him.
"I am!" You giggled then took his hand in your own.
He gave you a small and shy smile, now leading you up the trail in comfortable silence.
You grinned in secret and continued to say in your head that this wasn't a date. You and Milo were becoming friends, and this was normal. However, there was a small voice in your head saying this was a date.
After a few minutes of walking the trail, giggles with Milo, occasionally squeezing his hand and getting the action in return, you didn't disagree silently to the voice anymore.

Outline # -1 Abandoned Lore (Trinity)

I have learned my lesson, I will be writing these on Google docs and then copy-pasting onto Tumblr. While I am on GD, I figured I might as well open the docs I used to write the actual fic. Man, I went through a ton of hoops to get where I am. I will be using the most coherent ones for reference.
I can literally track my thought process as I went through writing all the different versions and I still have no idea how tf I went from this to dropping a flaming papermache whale on Ra’s Al Ghul. And I will die mad about it. Which means more meticulous notes in the future I guess.
Also, I’d like to apologize for how long it took to get this out, I have no sense of time whatsoever and as always, there’s a lot more than expected. This was 7 pages long
Original Ramble Post
Like most of my stories, the MC is an OCI - reincarnator brought into a fictional world they once watched. (Because I am obsessed with that trope.)
I now find the original name I had for her cringy and out-of-place given these are norse gods. So, from now on her name is Lokka, which is the female version of Loki
There’s a whole ass backstory about the transition of godly names and power I won’t go into. Just think Thor and female Thor kind of thing I guess. She’s basically seen as a spare Loki but it’s also a respected position.
Was tempted to name her Sigyn since Marvel doesn’t care about actual norse myth relations. No, Idc that there’s a canon Sigyn.
If you’re curious, the original name was Aradia. Yes, like the queen of witches.
MC is an asgardian, the daughter of the librarian in the royal palace and a blacksmith
She managed to get an apprenticeship under Loki and is occasionally taught by Frigga. She also learns under Eir when both her royal teachers are busy.
Lokka found her way into the central plane, probably having found it’s location from Loki’s notes and is unaware that it’s unstable.
So, Lokka is in the central plane, having the time of her life exploring new lands when she stumbles across a crying Marinette who is very lost
Unlike Lokka, Marinette does not know where she is or what is going on. She literally just tripped into a portal and has no way home.
Lokka takes Marinette under her wing and promises to help her find a way home
Problem is, she doesn’t know which of the three universes Marinette is from.
Even if/when she finds out that the girl is from MLB-verse, she still wouldn’t know which one that is because she has no reference to which world is which. Only that Marinette is probably not from Asgard.
At this point, she is unaware she lived in Marvel, she just knows Asgard is Norse Mythology.
So they continue to wander the central plane, Marinette ends up picking up a card guardian for a pet, accidentally becoming a cardcaptor.
Marinette has trouble pronouncing Lokka and Lokka gives Mari permission to call her Cosette (pre-reincarnation name)
Meanwhile, Ra’s sends Damian and Talia into the Central plane for combat experience and resource gathering.
Ra’s might be 700 years old, he might have access to the Central plane but he sure doesn’t know about magic or how it came to be or the current state of it. He might know something’s off because all the inhabitants have been increasingly on edge and the weather’s been stranger than usual but he didn’t deemed it important
Notably, he has never seen anyone other than those who he’d sent in himself in the central planes (CP, from now on bc I am getting tired of typing the entire thing out) so as far as he knows, the CP’s only entrance point is under his control.
Talia and Damian, who’s still going by Hafid, go hunting for resources and training
They separate for a bit for individual hunting/training time
Marinette and Cosette (Lokka) stumble across Damian’s camp
Misunderstandings occur, Damian fights them, more accurately he fights Cosette
Cosette tries to protect Marinette while also making sure not to harm her opponent
It was harder than she expected considering her opponent was a child
Asgardian training pulls through and she is able to do both
Damian’s tied up, Marinette is confused, and Cosette does not want to deal with this
Negotiation time
Marinette can’t speak Arabic, Damian doesn’t know french, and Cosette has all-speak
This means Cosette’s sitting there, having to repeat everything the kids say to each other for translation’s sake
also misunderstandings before the kids realize allspeak is a thing
Cosette is stuck with two kids who don’t like each other, one of which barely puts up with her so she does what most adults do when kids are too troublesome
Distract them: she does magic tricks with actual magic
Damian+Marinette are fascinated, Cosette accidentally gains two magic students
even though she’s still learning herself and all she has for guidance right now are Loki’s and Frigga’s notes
So, the trio end up travelling together
Damian demands Marinette should at least be able to fight so they train her too
They also figure out that Marinette and Damian’s worlds are not the same.
Cosette drills some value of life, basic morals, and feminism into Damian’s head
Marinette and Damian (Hafid) have trouble pronouncing each other’s names
They chose nicknames for each other from Cosette’s bedtime stories
Marinette is obviously angel or Tenko
Damian is gets Kabane, the name of a half demon
Kabane later changes to Kasane, protective blade
Yes, Cosette was/is a weeb and yes, they still mispronounce names which defeats the whole purpose but at least they kids don’t notice now even if Cosette is cringing every time they
They run into another card guardian and this one goes to Damian.
Cosette does not pout about this, it would be very immature
One training montages, several fights, a couple language lessons, and an abandoned (and Cosette-raided) house later, Cosette gets to the part of Loki’s notes where she figures out that the CP is collapsing in on itself and uh-oh
She tells the kids the gist of it but they’re too smart, ask all the right questions, and end up figuring out the important parts of situation that she’s trying to keep from them
Cosette is both impressed and a little put out, mostly impressed because not only did they figure out extremely complex magic, they also mostly remained level headed.
Marinette wants to rescue the card guardians and for once Damian is backing her up so Coestte gives up the notion of returning home and they go collect the guardians.
Remember, DC and MLB universes are closing in on each other
MCU is drifting away
If they don’t collect the guardians, Cosette would have the time to just drop them off at their world collection points and head back to hers
After collecting a couple guardians, they end up finding Talia and explain the situation to her.
Talia joins the gang, she may or may not be plotting a marriage
They raid a couple more houses, collect the 54 card guardians, and complete the power transfer ritual (replacing the Yue’s trial because the cards are the guardians)
The cards end up latching onto the three kids.
Marinette gets the Mistress title, Damian gets Sun Guardian, and Cosette gets Moon guardian.
Originally Cosette was going to be the mistress and Marinette the Moon guardian but because of the way I’ve decided magic works in this world - explaining that will need a whole other post - if Marinette is the moon guardian and gets the Ladybug miraculous, she will - for lack of better word - get sick and possibly die... or not.
Y’know what, it made sense at the time. But now that I think about it, we’re going back to the original idea.
Cosette’s the Card Mistress, Marinette’s the Moon guardian and Damian’s the Sun guardian.
Spoiler alert: that is a plot point for tropes-verse.
The completion of the ritual breaks puts CP deteriorations in high acceleration
Damian and Talia get into their circle, Cosette and Marinette in the other
Damian doesn’t have any cards bc he doesn’t want his grandfather trying to get to them. He and Talia agreed Ra’s would only know about the CP’s destruction. He does, however, have a CP beast that they picked up.
CP beast: magical creature that was born of CP’s magical residue or smth
Damian’s looks like a Teddiursa (Teddy bear pokemon) it is not
They have a notebook from a raided house detailing CP’s deterioration for proof
Cosette goes with Marinette because she can’t make it back to her universe and in the event that Marinette’s also from Cosette’s universe, she won’t be alone
They separate with the promise of meeting again.
At this point, I have had several differing ideas
They all go into DC world because they aren’t sure of Marinette’s world
Child trio goes into MLB world and Talia tells Ra’s Damian died
Everyone goes into MLB and Ra’s finds out about the collapse when he tries going in himself and finds out he can’t and just assumes they died
Y’all, I’m starting to see why I can’t do one-shots…
One of the things I forgot to mention in the rambling post is that while Marvel-verse was pulling away, it also messed with the time regulation thing, a day in the Maribat-verse will
Time in CP was very messed up
Kind of assumed readers could piece it together but I figured might as well make it obvious and straight up say it
MLBU: Cosette and Marinette arrive safely
Marinette is delivered home and Cosette has to figure something out
They find out Marinette has only been gone for a week
Marinette has some separation anxiety for about three days
Cosette slowly realizing this is an MLB universe and having a crisis
Cosette gets adopted by the Dupain-Chengs and starts working at the bakery
I have not figured out ages for Cosette
MLB goes like most Maribat fics pre-gotham because I’m lazy
Will likely be adjusted if I ever actually write this fic
Except Cosette steps in when things got too far and Paris has 3 heroes
Cosette is the known as the Sorciere or Lokka
Her uniform is just her asgardian armor
Good but misguided Adrien, Cosette probably adopts him too
Love square goes platonic and Cosette is glad this rom-com is over
Magic tutoring continues
Cosette is neutral with Fu and fascinated by the miraculous
You remember those ghost interactions? Those are filtering in
One of the first things to merge is the internet, because it doesn’t have a physical body and it’s just waves of information
News and discoveries between the world are being swapped
Given what I remember from DC and dimension travel, it wouldn’t be surprising if they figured out universes were merging.
The news about JL and Paris’s situation are causing all kinds of confusion
Cosette beings looking for information on Damian
As the physical world begins merging, there’s pockets of space where you can slip from one world into another; not quite portals but close
Eventually the trip to NY became a trip to Gotham because their plane slipped between planes (sorry, I saw the chance and I had to take it.) but yeah, that happened.
There’s quite a few details I’m forgetting
DCU: Damian and Talia arrive ok and report bare basics to Ra’s
It has also only been a week
Ra’s is displeased to find them back until they report the state of the CP
There’s the whole coup not long after and Damian is sent to Bruce
Damian is much more innocent looking when he’s bringing what appears to be a teddy bear with him
It’s name is Abd and it has grown wings by now. Actual name pending.
He gets teased about it, but under Cosette’s teachings, he has learned the virtue of patience, underestimation, and getting revenge with a side of entertainment
He does not try to kill Tim either
He also has to make the choice of bringing Abd with him as Damian or as Robin
He choses to make a side company for WE making toys based off creatures from the CP so Abd wouldn’t look too out of place
It takes two weeks for the bats to realize there’s something off about the Abd
They are convinced it’s haunted and Damian is very entertained
Abd only moves in daytime when no one - Damian excluded - can see it
Movement can expel magic that interferes with recording tech
Alfred is the first to figure it out and surprise, surprise, he has some magic books for Damian to learn from
It’s from the Wayne family library and they just assumed the language was lost to time. At least three are from Alfred’s own family.
Bat brothers spend the next 6 months trying to convince Damian his magical pet bear is a haunted doll.
Damian sort of getting along with Poison Ivy because his Sun magic is very compatible with plants and they love him
On an unrelated note, the plants seem to refuse to attack the new Robin
Damian randomly, unconsciously humming to songs Cosette and Marinette sang
Damian just vibing with the magic users of JL and Teen Titans
No one took him seriously at first but he pointed something out during a conference
“Robin, stand down and let the magic users handle this” - Green Lantern, probably
Constantine who actually knows what he’s talking about “No, no, let the boy talk.”
The plan was twice as efficient after Damian was through with it
Now Constantine’s trying to adopt Damian as an apprentice, he’s failing bc the bats are protective and possessive of what is theirs
Reminder that Damian brings Abd with him everywhere and he’s still getting teased about it from anyone who is not a bat (still convinced the thing is haunted)
The only thing the magic users have picked up about Abd is that he’s a magical construct which could mean a number of things but they brush it off as just a doll.
No one is prepared for the thing to come to life, multiply in size, and start spitting ice, sleep sand, and illusions. (Hiccups bubbles and can also turn into a cloud.)
They are also not prepared for the thing to quadruple in size and for Damian to ride it like a horse into battle. Reminder that Abd has wings and can fly.
Confusing talk about what’s going on in Paris and some other parts of the world
JL slowly figure out the universal merger that Damian already knows about
Damian is not impressed, it took him and Angel about 2 hours as 9 year olds
Somehow, Damian still has the ice prince image, less demon spawn though, that goes to Abd
Time moves on and one day, a plane from the other world arrives in Gotham
There’s a bit of confusion but it’s not exactly the first time something like this has happened at this point
WE steps up and offers jobs and a tour and all the usual Maribat plans (not just for the kids but all the other people on the plane)
Given the merger of the internet, MLB class and crew have some idea who the Waynes are and they accept.
Estimated about 6 months for full merger so people from MLB world are kinda just stuck there until then
Lila literally cannot lie about knowing the Waynes personally but she sure can lie about other things.
Dick and Damian are sent in to monitor the group
The reunion is awkward given they can’t freely interact and are not supposed to know each other.
While Dick is talking, there are just wide eyed staring between Marinette, Damian, and Cosette. With something a little extra between Marinette and Damian.
Cosette is torn between laughing and groaning at another rom-com trope coming in fast.
She ends up filming it bc blackmail is always good to have
Adrien is confused and quite frankly, he’s really just there to cover for them
The tour begins and about five minutes in, the trio breaks off and exchanges stories and names.
Cosette hears about Batman and has a dawning realization of what this world is, mentally nopes out, later digests that they are going into Maribat verse
Starts checking off Maribat tropes they’re coming across bc she might as well have fun with it
They continue to meet up
Batfam thinking Damian somehow managed to get two girlfriends
Damian choking on his breakfast when it is brought up
The girls are invited to dinner and Damian is just dying inside
Cosette blatantly hitting on all Damian’s brothers in the first 5 minutes
Damian screaming internally while Cosette cackles
Dick is awkward until he realizes it’s a joke, Jason plays along, Tim has an awkward bean crisis
Tim x Cosette? Maybe.
Cosette does that sit and repeat thing at least three times out of habit
Batfam gets full explanation about how they met and everything
I have played with the idea of Cosette getting fear gassed a couple times and Idk how it would go tbh.
That’s as far as I got with this version, so shenanigans ensue
Pretty sure they used the cards and magic throughout even if I didn’t mention it
Absolutely would be useful for being in two places at once
I later changed so the merger happens and then Paris’s heroes meet the Justice League
Damian immediately recognizing Cosette but not Marinette bc magic
still effective but weaker because of Damian’s magic type
He later recognizes Marinette later when she pulls off a move he taught her way back in CP
Nickname confusion for everyone else
Cosette vs Constantine on who gets to teach Damian magic
Damian goes to Paris. They beat Hawkmoth and then go to Gotham.
Also had a general idea of a plot with LoS that never got fleshed out past existing
If we’re going for the rebound version: Cosette reunites with Thor and Loki during the Avengers movie
Also, poor Heimdallr. He probably had a lot of headaches with the universe crash
Accelerated merger because of the convergence in the dark world.
I wanna go with 2012 Avengers towers shenanigans. + Loki and his sort-of but not really daughter
Cosette vs Antman, shrinking/growing, science vs magic.
And then there’s the whole Ironman vs Batman vs Arrow rich boy fight
Hammer x Luthor or Hammer vs Luthor?
Also, Cosette just staring at her home universe in betrayal and being insulted she didn’t think of it earlier because classic Nordic myths had Loki as Odin’s brother and not his son among other things but still
Fight against Thanos is a bit anti-climatic when you give a gremlin murder child magic and a sword that can through anything, including magical artifacts.
this baby boy can and will fight God and Cosette’s not really the kind to hold him back
If I actually wrote this, a lot of things would probably change because I’d actually have to put more thought into logistics and how things work

This is gonna be a long post. I have like 8 total. 16 if your counting the secondary protags (my version of May and Lucas for example,which I won't be going over in detail cause I'm not insane). Basic info: With all things said and done, Jin is grateful for their journey. They learned a lot, even if they had to stop two extreme environmentalist along the way. They know the two meant well, but it's just too bizarre for it to happen. Though the two seem to be in a better place now. They're happy for them. They're father and them talk more now. It's still awkward, but better. They know he's trying his best, and they will do the same. It's much better than back then. But no need to worry about the past.
If anything, they're more worried about the others.

Basic Info: Kenji Elm is not the biological son of Professor Elm. He was adopted at a young age, and he doesn't know who is birth parents. Not that he cares. He's more than happy with the family he got( though he wonders when they'll throw him away like his parents did). He has a vast amount of interests, but his two favorites are painting and battling. Battling is obvious, he's the champion of the Indigo League, but he always had an artistic eye. But his favorite pastime is hanging out with his friends! When he gets the time of course. He's sometimes wonder how he was able to hold the title of champion for so long though haha ( his win was a fluke he knows it he knows it) .But yeah! That's Kenji! Always there with a smile! Basic Info: Giratina and Arcues are quite alike, the more she thinks about it. Though, the rest if Sinnoh, quite possibly the whole world would disagree with her. Giratina is " the lord of darkness". It's followers have a history of not being....the best. Giratina resides alone in the Distortion World, paying for it's past sins. Clearly, Giratina and Arcues are nothing alike.
Hm? Oh. Right. Pardon.
Danica grew up in Twinleaf town, with her best friend Barry. Those two are almost polar opposites. Barry is always moving, going fast, and doesn't wait for no one( except Danica and Emmet). Danica can go fast, possibly faster than Barry, but likes to take things slow. Both can be quite chaotic.Barry has a bit of a temper, Danica's chill. Both are cases where you should run when they are angry. Like. Very angry. The two bounces of each other well,and hang out regularly with Emmet, even with their busy professions ( Danica as champion, Barry as Frontier Brain and Emmet as a professor). Danica loves baking, and would often be making poffins and other baked treats for her, her pokemon and others ! She's also a bit of a nerd, so you'll also find her in a library or two. Her pokemon are her babies, and she hopes to have plenty of battles with them in the future!

But really. They are quite alike. Both are beings of great power. Both have a following, even if one is less seen. Both are feared. They are feared greatly. Do they fear each other? Did Arcues banish Giratina in fear of the world or in fear of losing control? Did Giratina learn it's lesson after eons of being in the Distortion World? She could never tell. It doesn't really open up much, only going back to said Distortion World on its own Accord( it felt wrong to be it's "owner"). Though it do comes back, surprisingly. Maybe because she asked it to. To make sure Cyrus doesn't die in there. He still won't come out. She doesn't understand why. It's been years. Has he learned his lesson? Giratina seems to be fond of him. Affectionate. Cyrus never objects to this. So he must right? Right?
Ah, getting off topic. They're quite alike, being feared by the masses. Even if Arcues is mostly beloved. It's a god. It has such power. They're both feared. They themselves must fear as well . It must get lonely....... She thinks she gets Cyrus now.

Basic info: It's so funny, the more he thinks about. He was so excited, despite his worries. He was going on a journey. A gym challenge. Pathway to champion. He was going to do that! With his sister and his friends! On his birthday! It was perfect! It should have been perfect! But everything just went wrong.
The bodies, the blood, the pressure to " be a hero"( intentional or not), it was all too much. Too much. Then- then he was a coward. He fled it all. Even after saving the day. It was stupid. So stupid. And the people in his life had a right to be angry. Why wouldn't they? He deserved it, really. But now things are better(?). He has a daycare to co-run, he's gradually learning his way as a pokemon medic, and he still has his pokemon( the ones that were lucky enough to survive). He's so grateful for them. He doesn't battle, though. No, he's never doing that ever again. He's caused enough harm( he hates how he stares at trainers battling). He's no good anyway( he hates how bored his team looks half the time) . He doesn't understand why people insist that he is( he hates that he has this itch, this desire). He doesn't understand why they look so disappointed when he says he doesn't battle anymore( he hates that he misses the rush, the strategy, the freedom of it all). He's fine with what he got. He's no hero.

Basic Info: Eva! Eva my Beloved. Eva's fun, y'know? Always moving, helping, laughing, smiling. Life of the party! She rivals Kenji with that winning smile. Not to mention that she's a great battler! It's almost like she was born for this. Maybe she is! Who knows. But what she do know is that she's Unova's Champ and she gotta defend her title! And protect her region! Basic info: Death has a way of teaching you things. Jude learned a lot from it. She learns to not take it for granted, both death itself and the one that is dead.She learns to be humble. She learns to be kind.
Jude was, and still is, prickly. She's not rude my any means, unless she is, but she's just hard to become friends with. She used to have this philosophy of trainer and pokemon; they should be no emotional bonds. They're not here for that. They're here to win. And she did. Until she didn't. Her first pokemon died. It devastated her. Her pokemon, surprisingly, comforted her. And then another one died, and her pokemon comforted her again. Star, her Staraptor, was strong. So strong, and yet it died, and she cried and get pokemon cried with her. She never felt so loved. Not saying that her mother doesn't love her, the opposite really, it's just things have been....complicated. Couple that with strangers turn( begrudgingly) friends, and Jude's heart turned all warm inside. Not that she'll ever admit that outloud.
Jude is a kind person, despite her prickly nature. She loves the world around her, loves her friends, loves her pokemon. She respects death, despite the pain she causes her. The world itself of beautiful as it is, which it's such a shame that a capitalist fool a certain someone couldn't see that way( poor Sycamore).
Jude is a good trainer, despite her loss. She knows this. She'll prove it too the moon and back. If only a certain someone thought the same for himself.

Basic Bio: Aster doesn't hate Kanto. She doesn't. She was born there and lived there for 11 years. She just doesn't want to back. But she has to, cause she's " the first champion of Alola and as champion" yada yada yada. Like. She gets it. Being Alola's first and currently only champion, you gotta make an impression. She gets that. She still doesn't want to go. Even when she's been there, like, 4 times now. There are some good things in Kanto though. Lillie is there. And seeing Lillie physically is always a plus. She also gets to see Uncle Red, Uncle Green, and Aunt Blue. Kenji, while not living in Kanto, is champion of the Indigo League, and it's always fun with Kenji( she loves his art). But. Like. She still doesn't want to go.
But she also likes being Champion. That means she's strong. And since she's strong she can protect her mom. But she can't protect her mom when she's all the way in Kanto! What if he comes back? What if goes to Alola when she's away? She knows that her mom is strong, she knows that but still!
No. No it's okay. Her mom is strong. Lillie is strong. Gladion is strong . Hau is strong. Guzma is strong. They're all strong. She's strong.

Basic Info: Hop is pretty convincing, she realizes. Or maybe she's very weak willed. " Let's do the gym challenge together!" He said. He had that look in his eye. She couldn't say no. Or she could, but that would make him upset, and that's the last thing she wants.
If she's being honest with herself, she's scared. She doesn't like big crowds, the attention. They'll be so many eyes on her. So many. A-and then there's Lee and her cousin, Alexis. Hop has made her sit down and watch almost every single match Leon has had. He's an amazing trainer. A-and her mum would tell her stories about Alexis. He was a hero!
