Peryite is such an underrated daedric prince to me, conceptually. His sphere of influence has so much potential to explore. Like, disease and the natural order together? The way his followers see disease as a blessing? I love the implications there alone. He's the weakest prince, but his sphere has the potential to be so subtly destructive. One of his symbols, skeevers, represents that so well. The series has been kinda meh at exploring the princes philosophically but I feel like they are right on the cusp of something interesting with him, but since he isn't as flashy or obviously "bad" (or sexy) as the other ones he keeps getting put on the backburner. Gimme an interesting Peryite storyline pretty please. Explore things a little

*by gender neutral pronouns i mean anything except for she/he (and their equivalent in other languages) but if there's language subtleties i'm missing do tell me i'm real curious
i also count it if you use gender neutral pronouns that are different to the established ones (english example: zie/hir, xe/xye, e/em or any other set of neopronouns)

Hey uh I don't feel like getting confrontational with internet randos and I'm...genuinely confused about what this is trying to say. This was on my post about how men and masculinity aren't inherently evil and a bunch of people were agreeing with it. Like I'm not about to sit here and say that white trans dudes have it just as bad as trans women, we don't, that's not what this is about and it's not a contest. That being said. Are they implying that we don't face our own unique form of societal backlash and oppression? It’s nice to be able to talk about the kinds of things we face with a word more specific than 'transphobia' but I get why people would think it's annoying. Is this more about inter-community stuff? Am I missing something here??
I'm very aware that I could just be being the exact White Trans Dude Being A Pussy they’re talking about but I just. Genuinely want to understand what's being said here lol

hi cat anon here - I wasn't "trying to push the American button just because you disagree with me" - it's just what could be construed as a majority of people I've seen on Tumblr with this view and vocal about it have been American, so I was wondering if you were as well. I also put a /gen q tonal tag in their around there so I'm not sure where you got that idea from. I also resent the idea that I'm being all "Americans are bad! you're American because I don't like your opinion!" and honestly I'm confused where that came from.
also I'll take a look at your articles tomorrow when I've got more time, but what I quoted was from *the* bird conservation charity in the UK, so I'm perplexed at the proposal that they would provide false information that cats don't present a significant threat as their whole thing is conserving and protecting wildlife, especially birds, that doesn't really make sense
Alright, sorry if I sounded a bit aggressive there, but the way you worded it ("I wonder if you are American as so many Americans seem to have this weird opinion") did sound rather prejudiced.
The reason you are seeing so many American opinions is probably just because there are so many American users on the Internet.
The RSPB is just one organization out of many, and does not speak for all of your country or all protection organizations. For better information I recommend you look into more information from differing organizations and countries, as it's better to look into multiple sources than rely on one source for a defining opinion. However, I still did some internet searches and found these RSPB articles on "How to protect birds from cats in the garden" and "How many birds do cats kill?"
This personal article condemning said charity for 'being worried about its cat-owning membership' is also interesting, if not academic.
I hope the articles provide some insight. And remember, there is more than just native wildlife at stake when it comes to outdoor cats. The cats themselves are being put in danger.

Do you think like people think Harry’s immune to the killing curse now, do you ever wonder? Because like he’s verified to have twice been hit with it specifically, three times if one counts that last duel, those last two times with a public audience, so like might that have been a bit factor in his Auror career — rogue sorcerers just straight-up not casting that spell when Potter is after them because as far as they know it just wouldn’t work, and would be a waste of time?
I do think it would be a theory a lot of people would subscribe to! It would be an interesting bit of gossip, and considering rumours have a habit of growing rapidly in the wizarding world, I could see it burrowing into the heads of the people, particularly those Harry would fight throughout his career as an auror.
He'd already have an intimidating reputation from the war and defeating Voldemort - adding in possible immortality / immunity to the fricking Killing Curse? Nah yeah, people would be petrified of him.
It would be even cooler if this belief that Harry's immune to the Killing Curse actually subconsciously affected his opponents. The curse is described as "needing both nerve and ability" to cast, after all. It's all about the intent and power.
If someone who, even vaguely, thought Harry was immune to the Killing Curse cast it at him, they'd already subconsciously be expecting him to brush it off - which might translate into them not having the right amount of 'intent' or 'nerve' behind their attack.
Which could mean that even if some random criminal did send the Killing Curse at Harry, it might not work. And that would just make the rumours grow even more extreme.
Intent and belief are the bread and butter of magic, after all.
Who's to say that the growing belief that Harry is immune to the Killing Curse doesn't end up becoming reality because everyone believes it. That would be hilariously awesome.
