Random, really simple, writing tip of the day.
Remember the AEIOUs of capitalization:
A, at the beginning (of a sentence).
E, as in everywhere (that has its own name, Earth versus earth for example, Japan, London, New York, etc).
I, as in I (idk man English is weird) (this is the only singular letter that MUST be capitalized, we tend not to do it online as it seems more casual or cute that way, but in proper text, it’s supposed to be capitalized).
O, as in objects and others (things that have names but aren’t people. English [language], Caliburn, Kleenex).
U, as in other people’s names, occasionally pronouns, and… I forget the actual name, identifiers I think? (such as Ring Leader, Captain, French [nationality]).
I have no problem with online speech being Like This and Rather stRANGE in response to the lack of vocal tone, but if you’re writing for like… serious publication (final drafts that is, not rough drafts, do whatever in roughs) and essays, I beg you to please remember when to capitalize.

For the fic writers askes: AEIOU please
Fic writer ask - feel free to ask me more!
A: Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why?
That's a very hard question... I have more than 500 works posted on AO3 + fics written before that in French...
I have a very fond memory of a Feliciano Lopez/Marat Safin fic that I wrote with a dear friend during months like ten years ago.
For the most recent ones, I really enjoyed my Logandoscar polyamory "Love is an infinite resource "
Loves the pairing, the poly side of it and it was my longest fic ever (before "Red White and Williams Blue").
E: What character do you identify with most?  Is there a certain fic of yours that captures these qualities particularly well?
I mostly write fanfiction about male character in order not to really identify with them!
That being said, I quite feel like George would be the closest to me.
Especially in my dom/sub fic " I find my way back to a higher ground" because he struggle with letting go and loosing control and it's something I had to work on myself (went to a therapist rather than finding a dom, though lol)
I: How many fandoms have you written in?  Do you have a favorite?
Here is a little list :
Saint Seiya - Tennis RPF - Football RPF - 30 seconds to Mars RPF - The Hobbit Actor RPF - Merlin - Merlin Actor RPF - Formula 1 RPF
Merlin has been my longest fandom (as an active participant) and it keeps a special place in my heart as I spend so many great moments in that fandom and I'll always be impressed how alive it stayed even after the show ended.
F1 RPF is the only fandom I'm active in at the moment so... This is clearly my actual favourite!
O: What are your thoughts on people writing fanfic of your fanfic?
I'm honoured, of course!
I like to be notified about it but for me, fanfictions are created to be shared so I like that idea!
U: Is there a pairing you would like to write, but haven’t tried yet.
As a multi-shipper at hearts, I can always be tempted by some new parings!
At the moment, I have enough WIP's so I don't have concrete plans to write many new pairing.
I'd like to explore Logan/Lando and Logan/James a bit more (longer works).
I'm also tempted by Logan/George/Alex!

Musical References in the Cuphead AU
Something I've been thinking about since I first started animating this AU MONTHS ago was how to go about writing the music. Now, I fucking love jazz, but bro I cannot come up with an entire jazz song in Kris Maddigan's style for a fangame, I am WAY too inexperienced.
Epiphany: musical easter eggs, references, and guides.
For each character, I have a BUNCH of song references. They're either gonna cameo in the song, aid the vibe, or be a general structure for me to follow. Each song also has at least one Cuphead song, and that's the overall vibe I'm going for with their numbers. Each song is here for a reason, and 10 points to whoever can guess some of these lol.
If you're confused as to why a song is on here, send me an ask :)
TOMMY COOLATTA
Tommy Likes Mean People (fan song)
A Night in Tunisia (if nothing else, definitely the vibes of this one)
The BeyBlade Theme
Silent Hill 2 Dog Ending / Dogsong (Undertale)
Amalgam (Undertale)
Twin Peaks Theme
Half Life 2 Radio Theme (Gman's Theme)
Bootlegger Boogie (Cuphead DLC OST)
Botanic Panic (Cuphead OST)
DR COOMER
There's Nothing There (Main theme) (Aquacycle)
"I did have a wife, but they took her in the divorce" (Cruel Angel's Thesis from Evangelion) (Midi version)
Music to Soothe the Savage Snake Plant
The Fallen Child (THE DRUMS)
Super Punch-Out! Menu Theme
A CYBER'S WORLD? (Deltarune OST)
Clip Joint Calamity (Cuphead OST)
Carnival Kerfuffle (Cuphead OST)
BUBBY
Shin Megami Tensei IV OST - Black Market (interrogation scene)
Dr Feel-Good (Mötley Crüe)
Welcome to the Jungle (Guns n Roses)
Thunderstruck (AC/DC)
Moonbase Alpha (aeiou)
Tubes (the fan song)
Music to Soothe the Savage Snake Plant
SolusLunes - Endless Space
Witch Theme (Left 4 Dead)
Fiery Frolic (Cuphead OST)
Junkyard Jive (Cuphead OST)
BENREY
Passport Guardian (its3oe)
Gordon's Haste (fan song)
The Villain You Wanted (fan song)
Bohan the Raven King (Heavenly Sword OST)
At Doom's Gate ("this is a receipt.")
Yoshi's Island (Benry's Castle)
Opera De Ossium (Boneworks OST)
Bombs For Throwing at You (Portal 2)
The Part Where He Kills You (Portal 2)
Baking the Wondertart (Cuphead DLC OST)
DARNOLD
Upgrade Station (Team Fortress 2 OST)
Killer 7 - Heroic Deeds
Porkrind's Emporium (Cuphead OST)
More to be added, but yeah! :)
Now I just have to also do this for the world theme and the run and gun levels I told myself I wasn't gonna make. 🙃

A little child in the store was singing the ABCs song today, and it was great. W was "bubbadoo", L-M-N-O was "Ow-ah Maow".
It got me thinking a Wonder I had never before Wondered: do other languages have an Alphabet Song for teaching the childrens?
And they do!!
Latin-based language songs
Spanish
The first Spanish song that was suggested is Sopa de Letras (“Soup of Letters”) by Gaby Rivero. This song teaches all the letters by imagining a soup with a bunch of food mixed in, with each letter of the alphabet represented by the food (A for arroz, B for bombon, C for col and so on). It’s not as straightforward as the English alphabet song, but it has a fun, very ‘80s music video.
Another song, mentioned by a Babbel video producer from Cuba, is La Marcha de las Vocales (“The March of the Vowels”) by Cri-Crí. This song only teaches vowels, so it’s not quite as useful. It does have the added benefit of describing the shape of each letter, however, which is useful for small children learning to write.
Portuguese
Similar to the second Spanish song, the song that our video producer who grew up in Portugal learned only teaches the vowels. The song is AEIOU from Big Show SIC, a Portuguese children’s variety show from 1995 hosted by singer Ana Malhoa. If you thought the first Spanish song was wild, this one is truly over the top. The video has people in animal costumes running around, children in the stands and a legion of scantily clad dancers. It’s a lot to take in, but you’d probably remember your vowels after watching it.
Polish
Another song that isn’t exactly an alphabet song is Abecadło Z Pieca Spadło (“The Alphabet Dropped from the Stove”) by Julian Tuwim. Based on a nursery rhyme, the song features a lot of the letters, along with a story about how they were damaged when they fell from the stove (the H broke in half, the A dislocated its legs, etc.). It doesn’t teach children the alphabet in a straightforward way, but it’s still a fun song to familiarize kids with the letters and what they look like.
Swedish
The first comprehensive alphabet song we found that sounds nothing like the English alphabet song comes from Swedish. It’s just called the Alfabetslåten (“Alphabet Song”), and it’s from an old children’s show called Fem myror är fler än fyra elefanter (“Five Ants are More than Four Elephants”) Two elephants sing the letters to the alphabet, including the four vowels that Swedish have that English doesn’t. Most importantly, it’s pretty catchy.
German
The vast majority of alphabet songs tend to use the tune of the English alphabet song and change them to their needs. This German song is just one example, and it’s called Das ABC-Lied (“The ABC Song”).
The Non-Latin Language songs on here are
Russian
The Cyrillic alphabet is not too different from the Latin alphabet, but it is a major stumbling block for Russian-learners who are just starting out. There are a few possible versions of the song out there, but we chose one from a reliable source: Улица Сезам (you might know it better as Sesame Street). It’s pretty similar to the English alphabet song, but with a different beat and an unfamiliar Muppet.
Chinese
The Chinese languages use over 50,000 characters, which presents a whole new problem. It’s impossible to make a comprehensive song because that would take way too long to sing. The solution is using the 千字文, or the Thousand Character Classic, which is a poem over 2,500 years old that is exactly 1,000 characters long, each used once and collected in rhyming stanzas (so it can, in theory, be sung). While it’s only a fraction of the full written system, the poem provides a useful introduction to written Chinese. The video below shows an excerpt of the poem being painted by calligrapher Cai Xingyi.
Japanese
Japanese only has 46 characters, so there is a song that can capture all of them. Japanese doesn’t have an alphabet, however; they use a mixture of two syllabaries and Chinese kanji (thousands of characters that were taken from Chinese into Japanese). The main 46-syllable hiragana is the best place to start, however, and the song is simple to learn.
Hebrew
Hebrew went from being widely spoken to nearly extinct, and then back to widely spoken again. The language was kept alive for religious reasons, and most people outside Israel likely encounter it during the bar/bat mitzvah process. Having a helpful alphabet song to teach legions of children and pre-teens how to read the language, then, is useful. Fortunately, Jewish singer Debbie Friedman created The Alef-Bet specifically for Hebrew school students.
I must go listen to the Swedish one now.
Please add more if you have them!

REVIEW THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT: LIVE FROMT HE HAUNTED CANDLE SHOP EDITION
sorry
Hydroelectric Viking: 6/10
Yeah, you already know how I feel about instrumentals. Side note, this song would go hard as a beat saber level.
The Saga of You, Confused Destroyer of Planets: 8/10
While this song used to be my favorite on the album, it recently became overshadowed by others. Also, I heard this one cover called The Saga of Ballsack Joe, Confused Destroyer of Bitches by The Ballsacks that is mostly the original lyrics with dirty words stuffed in and the original instrumental playing distorted in the background. When I heard it, I thought it was immature and got all pissed off and couldn't stop ranting in my head about it every time I heard the original song. Moral of the story, I'm a stupid buzzkill and should learn to lighten up a little.
Mr. Wolfgang: 6.75/10
This song was one of the few songs I liked upon first listen to the album, along with TSoY,CDoP and Boat. However, it shortly became overplayed in my head. This song DOES have a slight touch of edginess, but it knows what it's doing and doesn't take itself more seriously than it should. Also, BANG BANG, HE JUST SHOT HIS BOSS. BANG BANG HE JUST SHOT HIS BOSS'S BOSS!
Boat: 8/10
Before I actually liked this album, this song was my favorite from it. While I do like it less than I used to, it's definitely in my album top 3. One of my favorite lyrics in the album is "AEIOU sometimes Y, Why not!" It's a dumb piece of wordplay just kinds stuffed in the song, but it doesn't take itself too seriously, and works in my opinion.
Destructo!: 8/10
NO WAY THEY SAID THE THING! THEY SAID THE THING! THAT'S THE NAME OF THE ALBUM!!!!!
good song
Fiberglass Monkey: 7/10
Don't really have anything to say. Good song. I liked when there was the fiberglass monkey. Classic example of the hero's journey. Kid is haunted by fiberglass monkey. Kid gets bat. Kit hits fiberglass monkey with said bat. Fiberglass monkey dies. What's not to love?
Fly Straight or Drop the Oar and Wreck: 7/10
I like most of the song. I really like the background vocals when he says "plate right now." Also, It's really satisfying when he finally "Fly straight or drop the oar and wreck." The violin at the end of the song is a little drawn out, though.
Oz Explodes 7.5/10
Took me embarrassingly long to realize the song's lyrics were taken directly from the wizard of oz. Iconic kazoo cover, every time I remember I have a kazoo I immediately pull it out and play this song. Also, this song is how I remembered the Pythagorean Theorem when I was taking my standardized test. So thanks, Neil! If you can't tell, I'm not writing this review while extremely tired at 10 P.M. (unlike yesterday's)
Booja Jabooja: 7/10
Don't really LOVE this one, but It's a good song. Also, WHEN DID NEIL TRANSLATE THE CHORUS?? ISNT THE WHOLE THING THAT IT'S GIBBERISH THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE? anyways yeah 7/10
Dance Like an Idiot: 8/10
Very catchy song, with it's own dance too! This sone is the cupid's shuffle for weird losers (me!) Also, I love the synth solo in the middle.
Chu Chu Rocket: 7.5/10
Okay embarrasing story, it took me like two months to realize that
A. This song is a cover and
B. and more embarrassingly, this song is in Japanese
okay, so the first time I heard this song it played right after Booja Jabooja so naturally, I assumed it was another made up language that just so happened to sound a lot like Japanese and English. Actually never mind, there's no defending myself. That was stupid of me.
Switzerland: 9/10
Good song, one of my album favorites. The story does lead me to wonder, though, did the protagonist ever make it to Switzerland? Why couldn't this story have any closure like Fiberglass Monkey did? Oh why, Neil 20 years ago, did you do this???
Party on the Moon: 8/10
8/10 good. Who the hell is Mr. Kenji Akita?
Without My Tonsils: 7/10
this song was my ringtone for, like, a really long time. I like this song, but it radiates with edginess. THAT ENDING WAS GREAT. IT WAS A PERFECTLY FINE, NOT AT ALL DISSAPOINTING ENDING UNTIL HE STARTED REPEATING THE LYRICS "DISSAPOINTING ENDING", THEREFORE MAKING THE ENDING DISSAPOINTING. SCREW YOU NEIL (I don't actually care that much)
Birdhouse In Your Soul: 7.5/10
I don't think that before hearing this version, I had ever listened to the TMBG version. Strangely enough, the song felt very familiar, and when I did eventually listen to the original version it felt very familiar. Side note, if anybody reading this is a TMBG fan, how do you feel about this cover (especially if you listen to they might be giants but haven't listened to the cover yet, listen and tell me how you feel!)
Anyways, good song, both referring to the original and Neil's version
Mold en Mono: 9/10
Love this song, easily my favorite. If you listen close enough, you'll hear the cuica sounds that Neil used before it was even cool (cough cough Baldi's Basics cough cough). Anyway, I love the layering of the lyrics in the outro, and it's very funny to me the origin of the song's title (search it up, I don't feel like typing). Classic Live From The Haunted Candle Shop song.
Movie Night: 6.5/10
It's not a bad song, but it's too slow for my liking. I remember the first couple times I listened to it I would wait for it to get faster and more exciting, and it never happened. Back then, I'd have probably given it a 4/10 but it's since grown on me
OVERALL: 7.5/10
FAVORITE/ LEAST FAVORIE SONGS
Mold en Mono, Hydroelectric viking (dishonorary mention to Movie Night)
I feel like this review was better written than the last one, but not interesting/funny enough for that to make up for it. This one's just boring and bad.

Have you ever considered putting Stanley on the line? I don't know how sophisticated he is or if he can read but our current AIs have bug level of neurons and do a fantastic job at communicating. Plus Stanley likes buttons and a keyboard is basically a big plate full of buttons! Free enrichment!
I could, but I doubt that would be a fruitful use of anybody's time. He does not like to talk. I do not mean this in the sense that he cannot talk, although it is true he is non-verbal; he is perfectly capable of signing and writing, and he does not like to do those. Often times when he is in the middle of something incomprehensible, such as peeling off the wallpaper in the boss's office, I will ask him why he is doing that. Ninety percent of the time, his response will be to silently stare at me, make a peculiar facial expression, and continue as if he had not heard me. I'm certain he does this to annoy me because he knows I'm not good with understanding facial expressions. The other ten percent, when he does deign to converse with me, is to argue and disagree with everything I say. This is also exasperating. Do you see why communication is difficult? It has nothing to do with the number of neurons or whatever, and everything to do with attitude.
Additionally, he already has a keyboard in his office with all the standard buttons, and he presses them regularly. Sometimes for hours at a time when he's supposed to be starting a run. He has his own (private) Tumblr as well, which is 100% reblogs of deep fried memes and cat pictures. He has never made an original post. Perhaps he simply feels he has nothing to say on this platform; not a feeling I can relate to, but one that would not surprise me.
Well, perhaps I should simply ask. It's worth a shot. Stanley! Staaaanley! Get over here, someone on the internet wants to see what you have to say! Give them your deepest thoughts! Make a great impression!
aeiou aeiou aeiou aeiou 888888888888888888888888888888888888888 john madden farts lmao
You see? This is someone who has no intention of crafting a thoughtful response to a sincere question. I am metaphorically rolling my eyes at this frankly childish display. I eagerly await the day he decides to join the adults in respectful conversation instead of trolling.
