LJS 28 is a portolan atlas - that is, maps concerned with coastlines and ports. Made in Venice between 1535 and 1538, it includes maps of Britain, the Mediterranean, the Aegean sea, Adriatic Sea, and others, and a map of the world (part 2 of 2)
I saw an anonymous quote that said, “If you want to learn what someone fears losing, watch what they photograph.” I don’t necessarily agree. Photography is poetry in pictures, and like poetry, photography captures the soul of the artist. If you want to see into a man’s soul, look at what he photographs.
This photo of a sunrise was taken by me whist sailing the Aegean Sea near Bodrum, Türkiye.
