Ancona (Marche). Views from the train station. Ancona (from the Greek Ankòn, elbow) coming from the west, it is not a city of passage, but I wanted to enter it for the first time (perhaps) and while waiting for the train I took a walk. The station is far from the historic center which extends over the hills, part of Mount Conero, which then degrade into the Adriatic. Between the center and the station is the port. The panorama of Ancona is characterized by the cathedral of San Ciriaco (996, Romanesque-Byzantine) on the top of the Guasco hill.
