being nonhuman is weird.

there’s some days i’m happy to be human shaped, because i can eat things like grapes and bbq pringles and go see movies. i can dine out and drink sprite with every meal. i can use thumbs.

but on the inside, i’m not like humans. it doesn’t work “correctly”. i have urges that are considered taboo or just plain wrong for a “human”.

it’s something i’m trying to comes to terms with and accept.

I don’t think my therianthropy and mental illness can be separated. I feel so fundamentally different from my peers that I see myself as not human. Connecting with humans is very hard for me. My anxiety causes me to want to hide and growl like a frightened animal. My hallucinations cause me to feel things that aren’t really there. Sensory issues cause sensitive hearing. My dissociation and body issues cause me to feel separate from my body. I feel that this vessel I pilot is not me, but just the tool I use to interact with the world. I am mentally ill, causing therianthropy, but I am still a therian. The cause of my therianthropy doesn’t invalidate it. I have a screwed up creature brain teehee!

Bitches be going into a forest and transforming into a small critter and living their entire life free of the demands of the humanity that was forced into them.

being nonhuman4nonhuman is probably one of the biggest perks of, well, being nonhuman.

Well you see.. I actually am a ghost.. and I just saw a real live person staring back at me in the mirror.. so yeah freaked me out a bit.. haha..

I crave to blood… just sink to sink my fangs into a human’s neck and drink their sweet blood. To hear them gasp and grow rigid… heart pounding loudly worried that I won’t let go… the smell of their fear comes off in waves.

Someone needs to make a word for therian/otherkin etc. but for when you're not human as a baseline.

Like if you're a cat in a system but you experience identifying as another animal.

Does anything like this exist already?

Those posts that are like “when the little voice in your head says (blank), that is the devil talking” are accurate to me and my inner monologue about 69% of the time (because it’s usually about the audhd creature or one of my other assorted neurodivergences), and I’m always like real but did you have to call me out like this?
