The Carnivore Diet: Benefits, Vitamin Deficits, and Better Alternatives
In this exploration, I will delve into the carnivore diet, examine its purported benefits, and shed light on why its vitamin deficit makes it a less-than-ideal dietary choice.
In recent years, the carnivore diet has gained traction as a radical approach to nutrition, advocating for an exclusively animal-based intake while eschewing plant-based foods. Proponents of this diet argue that it brings a plethora of benefits, from weight loss to increased energy levels. However, upon closer examination, it becomes evident that while the carnivore diet may have some advantages,…

I think that everyone with some kind of disorder (diabetes, GI issues, etc) who gets told to "just do keto" by one of these insufferable keto bros should be legally allowed to beat them with a baseball mitt

shoutout to all the gainers currently having to deal with hearing an onslaught of fatphobia & diet talk from relatives.
whether you're pushing back or grinning and bearing it, you're doing great, and nothing that judgemental family members say can devalue this beautiful thing you're doing for yourself.

Something that I think a lot of people who write about Kevin having an ED don't know is that coming off a very strict diet will make you sick when you go back to eating normal food. Like, your body straight up forgets how to process sugar and fat for a while – it's more than a psychological reaction.
So yeah, while his insistance on avoiding certain foods before games are a combination of Actual Facts and Nest Paranoia, there could also be a real element of "Of course you can't have a burguer and fries before a game. That's gonna make you bloated and slow and nauseous for three days. What are you talking about Aaron what do you mean that's not normal"

anytime i see the word “holistic” used in relation to medical stuff i am on edge. my classmate’s research project uses that word and focuses on the effects of a dietary fat on bipolar disorder and im just like. look whatever fucking thing you come up with isn’t going to be worth cutting out a significant part of nutrition for whatever minimal impact it might have, if any, when there are far more viable treatment options that cover a lot of ground

So I ended up reading about type 2 diabetes in case there is something I'm missing that my doctors are also missing and there are some sources saying there's no link to sugar intake and the disorder but at the same these sources talk about "high carbohydrate intake" which are... essentially sugars
But just as insulin resistance, diabetes type 2's origins are not fully known yet but can be linked not only with diet but also stress, trauma, genetics and so on and so forth
My general take is stopping giving a fuck what strangers are eating because you are not entitled nor will know everyone's disorders but also spreading information about good habits and improving your diet - not to lose weight, but to feel better.
But I still would encourage others to include less processed foods, fruit, vegetables and information how to spot better quality meals in general - not choosing cheap supermarket food if you can help it, buy high quality meat, fresh veggies and do eat comfort foods but in moderation. Not only to improve mood but also to let your body rest, because dieting of any kind can exhaust your body and the effect might be opposite to what you want to achieve.

I had to leave church because they were all doing the keto diet in addition to the purity bullshit and all that other Christian stuff like you’re going to tell me I shouldn’t masturbate and then you’re going to tell me I shouldn’t eat bread or potatoes
Miss me with that bullshit
