Here's #exerciseroutine number 5 of 9 in our #diastasisrectiseries: The #singlelegreach for #diastasisrectipain. These #gentleexercises will really help aide in recovery from any #abdominalseparation you may be experiencing. Going in too hard before you have healed can actually worsen the damage to your abdominal muscles and slow down or hinder healing progress. Appropriate exercising in conjunction with wearing one of our #3beltwaisttrainers when worn appropriately, may also really help your muscles heal too. Diastasis Recti? ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ My personal experience with this occurred in the 8th month of my 3rd pregnancy. I had gained close to 50 pounds and my stomach was quite taut. In my role as superwoman (no one else but my 6 year old was around and it needed to be done!), I picked up and carried my sleeping 4 year old for about 20 minutes straight. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ To explain the pain as intense would be an understatement. I felt searing pain from the base of my sternum (aka breastbone) to my umbilicus (aka belly button). It literally felt like the center of my belly was on fire. As a Physical Therapist, I could actually visualize my abdominal muscles being torn apart! This pain persisted throughout the rest of my pregnancy. Postpartum rehab was slow but gradual and complete. No surgery needed!⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ That was 13 years ago and my passion now is to share tips and information to help increase health, awareness, and access to resources for ALL!⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Please join @munirahudanipt and I tomorrow for our first live Instagram interview. She is a Diastasis Recti rehab expert and will be sharing a wealth of information on this topic. This will be the first interview in a series of 3. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Please send us questions so we can make sure we are covering what you want to know about!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ #diastasisrecti #diastasisrecti #diastasis #diastasisrectiexercises #dra #dram #pregnancyworkout #postpartumfitness #postpartumexercise #abdominals #abdominalseparation #coreworkout #coreexercises #coreworkout #pelvicfloor #pelvicfloorexercises #pelvicfloordysfunction #physicaltherapist #pelvicfloorpt #physiotherapist #physio #anatomyandphysiology #myPFM #mypelvicfloormuscles https://www.instagram.com/p/Bq99634Hce4/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7ld7h5pzkta8

#Repost @ivana_demmel (@get_repost) gratefully sharing breathing exercise experience for post-natal core 🌱🙏🏼🌱 ・・・ It's been more than three years since I suffered a postnatal injury that left me with a large abdominal separation and invited me into a long (un)learning journey of healing it. And one of the most revolutionary things I've learnt along the way was to stop shearing my ribs forward. You can see here our culturally conditioned ''good posture'' with ribs displaced forward and upward, which posteriorly rotates the ribcage compressing the spine. Fair enough, it does make me look a bit bustier, but the price is a bit too high. This position strains abdominal fascia and makes it difficult for abdominal muscles to generate force. And then you can see the relaxed ribcage, where the lower ribs sink back into the abdominal flesh, becoming vertically aligned with the front of the pelvis. Learning how to release the ribs is a process, but it's definitely worth it. Working towards a neutral ribcage will gradually restore a healthy abdominal-back mechanics and a responsive core which will make a huge difference in healing or preventing abdominal separation and back pain. . . . . #postpartumbody #diastasisrecti #babybelly #abdominalseparation #corestrength #backpain #ribcage #alignment #biomechanics #nutritiousmovement #mom #mother #mum #yoga #yogamom #pranayama #newmom #health #core #breath #breathing #exercise

It's completely normal to experience abdominal separation after pregnancy. We look at how to check your separation at home and what to do. #pregnancy #afterpregnancy #abdominalseparation Several things can contribute to pain in your hamstrings. One of these is Piriformis Syndrome which often masquerades as a hamstring strain. read the full post here Is Piriformis Syndrome Masquerading As Hamstring Strain?

😲 Look who is about to #sizedown for the SIXTH TIME! Im just about ready to say thankyou and goodbye to my beloved XL #3strapwaisttrainer that I am wearing in this post. Every time I have sized down in this #postpartumjourney it has felt like such an achievement for me, but this time is by far the best feeling yet 🥳 It's still so surreal how far i have come on my #waisttrainingjourney😌... from starting out in my 5XL with 6cm of #abdominalseparation, horrible #constantlowerbackpain, #abdominalpain, #bloating, and just feeling like I wasn't sure if I could ever get off this carousel; to #feelinghopeful, having #renewedconfidence💪💪 and #healingwithin to feel #strongerthanever. My #cinched trainer has helped me find me again, and I want the same for others, because honestly, you can't even put a price on your health. Health is everything 🥰 #selfcare #postpartumhealing #weightlossafterbaby #babybellydisappears www.cinchedwear.com https://www.instagram.com/p/CNAD-XjBn56/?igshid=emwrdjvdwng9

The next No More Mummy Tummy Challenge starts June 6th. 😊 ⭐Link to join in our IG profile @Pregnancyexercise Love this testimonial  Catherine "I have been putting off and putting off this email as I am not one to gloat let alone take selfies but my motive for sharing is to encourage others who may be contemplating joining one of your programs or who are part way through as well as to encourage you and thank you for your amazing work! I was fit and active pre-pregnancy and was passionate about maintaining my exercise during pregnancy. At 21 weeks I did a 10km run. Literally overnight I had terrible hip and pelvis pain to the point of not even being able to walk and was diagnosed with SPD. Then at around 27weeks I was diagnosed with an irritable uterus which was causing the contractions. I had to drastically take it back a notch yet again - much to my frustration!  At 37 weeks I began walking as much as I could again, despite the braxton hicks - I wanted that baby out!  Post-pregnancy I had aimed to start slowly back into running after six weeks (I had an episiotomy). Well I got the shock of my life when I started running again and felt like my insides were coming out. I religiously did my pelvic floor exercises for the next few months and continued to try with failure until I gave up. As well as feeling pretty down about still not being able to run I felt like my tummy should be much more flat than what it was, despite attempting (and I cringe at this now knowing what you have taught me!) - CRUNCHES! I contemplated joining the '30 day crunch challenge' that was circulating around FB but thankfully found you! I instantly joined the NMMT challenge and LOVED it! So much that I continued to do the exercises for 6 months. The photos show the results but I am also pleased to say that today I completed a 4km run with no problems! I am SO chuffed to be able to get back into it and I have YOU to thank! I had a 3 finger wide gap at the start and now have none! Thanks so much Lorraine, you're an amazing lady and I certainly wouldn't be where I am at without you! #nmmtc #postpartumfitness #mombod #newmom #DiastasisRecti #abdominalseparation #activemoms #abchallenge

I have the most beautiful amazing customers ♥️ thankyou Temeaka for your instagram post... I can so resonate with what you wrote, and it is exactly why I started @cinchedwear 💖💃🏼 x Kristy #Repost @ttate16 • • • • • • Getting @cinchedwear cinched! Nope not some bandwagon waist training craze. This is about supporting my abdominal muscles to recover from pregnancy. After I had Stuart I was handed some tubi grip and told to wear it. No one explained abdominal separation or how to fix it. After bee I did a little work on correcting it but two kids under 3 meant my health came third. Since having Linton I’ve made it my mission to take my health a bit more serious. Seeing a women’s health physio, working out, eating better. But I’ve noticed my stomach muscles hurting and my back pulling while trying to do these things. Supporting them to heal is important to my long term fitness goals. Kristy is a mum like me and knows what we need comfort wise so she’s created a product that works with motherhood. This is the first support band I’ve been able to sit, bend and breastfeed in. Bring on the healing 🙌#cinched #abdominalseparation #motherhood #healing #healthymum #waistsupport #notapaidpromotion #ifididntloveitiwouldntrateit https://www.instagram.com/p/CMOpXJXhg-7/?igshid=xoxyy7zfrl8s

3 weeks ago I started working out for the first time since I got pregnant in June of 2017. I really want to start toning the rest of my body, and am so keen to start abdominal work once my #abdominalseparation has completely closed (1cm to go!). I am happy to say I haven't even thought of giving up, and am trying to make this my new lifestyle, slowly but surely... and with lots of aches and pains in muscles I forgot that I had 😁 #postpartumweightlossjourney #waisttrainingafterbaby #becomingmeagain https://www.instagram.com/p/CLDlSrYhBA3/?igshid=wiaytj7klvol
