#sorry I couldn’t phrase that better #ok I’m about to talk in the tags #i have decided since I always tend to create dark and psychological ideas #sometimes especially when actually writing them the darkness can consume you #so i decided to make a lighthearted thing in my head #two actually but one was originally gonna be dark the other not #first one is just cute and only has two main characters lol #and they’re lesbians #one was raised in a classy rich town that ended up being abandoned #she was working an office job but decided to impulsively change her life she quit dyed her hair purple and decided to explore rumours of her #abandoned hometown #and basically the town is full of ghosts and all #so she goes to a publishing company to raise awareness and make a story #but nobody believes her so that’s where second character comes in #she’s a journalist and was raised on street smarts quick thinking goes to great lengths to get the scoop etc #basically the opposite of first one who had a comfy but boring life #she doesn’t believe her but has to go and obvs she sees the ghosts too #so they work together to help the ghosts and restore the town and eventually fall in love because i want them too #the other one I made for my inner child #when I was a kid I loved magical girls so I made that and I’m still only beginning on that lol #so yeah it’s important to balance your work #i won’t talk about my other ideas because I wanna actually publish them #but I have no plans to do anything with these

true detective: the long bright dark / disco elysium: jamais vu (derealization)

#in my true elysium slash disco detective universe forever #i have talked about this already but its funny that this quote was marty's breaking point. who has not felt about their hometown like this?#rust does not know this city well however which makes the feeling different but somehow still universal to the experience of growing up #in places that have to change to survive (be it bc of its economy or bc its simply outdated)#but the town in TT s1 appears to be decaying. at least to rust #imo one of the best shots and most defining of the show is that of the church abandoned and left to rot in nature with the factories #in the background. past and progress shown in one shot you know #but with the eps passing i would say that it is the people and their humanity that is decaying instead of the town #after all the town seems quite alright in terms of infrastructures #but the description of it as a jungle really does fit very well #both with the landscapes shown and the animals (men) lurking where you least expect them #true detective #rust cohle #marty hart #mine

#la serreta de alcoi you'll always be famous <3 #i feel so close to this archeological site (iberian settlement and sanctuary) cause i did two projects on it for uni #and it's the archaeological site closest to my dad's hometown so we went to the museum and i saw the artifacts with my own eyes #and we wanted to go to the site but it's practically impossible to get there #as you can see in the picture it's on the top of a mountain and the space is very abrupt and complicated #you have to cross a forest while climbing the mountain and there's no place to stop the car or anything. there's like this tiny path that #deviates from the road. no sign or anything. you just need to know la serreta is there #i once looked for how long it would take to climb the mountain to get to the site and it was like 2 hours #and of course like most archaeological sites in this country it's barely taken care of #it's practically abandoned

#OKAY STORYTIME THAT NO ONE ASKED FOR:#do u guys remember that girl that was basically my bi-awakening and we had the very stereotypical #intense homoerotic friendship that traumatised the both of us? yeah her #well basically i still have a lot of love for her and we're still friends like she's in my hometown friend group so when i talk about them #i still mean her and out of our entire group she's the ONLY one who didn't go to uni and me and my other friend spoke recently #about how unhappy we know she is bc she got abandoned by us in this awful hometown and we dont think she loves her boyfriend #so much as she stays with him bc she literally has no one else until we come home her life is literally just waiting for us between terms #and i worry about her all the time and one thing that happened a while back was she did drugs w this one guy by the river #and she completely whitied like it was just weed but she was 17 and had never done it before and turns out she's like me #where edibles just do NOT agree with her on a good day let alone when she took as much as she did and she was with a random boy #by the fucking WIER (basically a big dangerous waterfall) and we were all at our mate's house that was a 40 min walk away #and she RANG ME. i was the one she rang. that still sticks with me. and omg it was so scary bc she was so out of it on the phone #and all i managed to get from her was that Something Was Wrong (didnt know what) and that we needed to pick her up #so we did. we got on bikes and fucking RACED to this girl and we picked her up and in the end she asked for her mum #and i was the one to take her to her mum and knock on the door and stand there with her daughter's arm around my shoulder #barely conscious her sick on my shoes and explain what happened. like WHAT #& yeah basically i still have so much love for that girl and i know she struggles with shit hence why that even happened in the first place #and it's like. im still here. i still love you. i'll call your mum. i'll come and get you. just ring me and i'll pick up. stay on the line.#so yeah this song did unimaginable damage the first time i heard it. literally gives me chills and transports me to my 17 year old self #we were young and didnt know what we were doing and the town was suffocating us #AND WE WERE BOTH DROWNING AND DIDNT KNOW HOW TO SAVE EACH OTHER BUT THERE WAS AN UNDERSTANDING THAT WE WERE DROWNING TOGETHER #ask #noah kahan

i don’t have gloves in my glove compartment who does? i have a ziploc bag full of quarters like my dad always said to he said “you can use them to put air in your tires — and plus the best car wash a few towns over is quarters-only!” he said “you know, grandpa built that car wash” i live across the street from it now in the town my dad grew up in and he doesn’t live here anymore he’s four states away i never go to that car wash i never wash my car but i carry those quarters with me he was right i still need to put air in my tires
