My favorite thing is how lowkey uncomfortable Branch's brothers look when they find out Branch highkey replaced them with a new band/found family after they left LOLOL
JD and Clay being quick to crack incredibly forced jokes to cover up the awkwardness of the situation ooo
And you KNOW the Kismet trolls probably think so fucking lowly of all of them too if Branch confided in them over everything that happened throughout the years rrrrr
I think the brothers would definitely take personal issue with particular members too uh ohh the girls are fightingg
and they know they have no right to be mad cause they are the ones who walked out and never came back but they're gonna be bitter anyway <333 i love troll drama
"Well, this is a bad idea," Tim says, hands on his hips as he surveys the mess they’ve made in the cave.
"Nah," Danny replies, twirling his screwdriver in the air in what is probably meant to be an impressive trick to inspire confidence, except he fumbles it and it clangs to the floor loudly, "we good. If a younger version of myself hasn't come forward in time to stop me, how bad can it be?"
"Shouldn't it be the other way round?"
"What?"
"Normally, it's an older version of yourself going backwards in time to stop you, right?"
"Not in my experience."
Danny's grin is impossibly feral and a shiver runs up Tim's spine.
The more the show progresses, the more I want to see the 90s cast infiltrating the modern timeline. We've gotten hints of it with Shauna and her younger self, her Jackie hauntings. We've gotten a little more with adult Lottie seeing teenage Nat (and Laura Lee), and with Natalie getting teenage Lottie in her final moments. I want more. I want the teen cast to be absolutely invasive on pivotal adult moments, infecting their adult counterparts when least expected. I want Taissa's argument with Van to dissolve into their teenage selves, their bond endless and timeless and inescapable. I want Misty absolutely wrecked by young Natalie lurking around corners, watching from mirrors. I want to see these women unable to navigate adulthood without the specters of their teenage selves cropping up absolutely everywhere, more and more as they let the memories in, as they stop being able to repress the trauma. They didn't grow up. They never could. You are always doomed to regress around your high school teammates. You are haunted by the phantom elements of your misspent youth. It is a comfort, and it is a gift, and it is a trial, and it is a curse. I would love to see that reflected with greater intensity, until the lines blur, until the timelines have no choice but to intersect. They haven't escaped themselves at all. They didn't grow up. They just got older.
additional thing for @shepscapades hc character design week 2 prompt, quotes from first 10 minutes of the etho vs b-team trial, some pixel patches are from phoenix wright and ema skye + pixel patterns from apollo justice and lotta hart (what this means is a mystery to everyone but it makes sense to me "xD)
An alternative direction for Stryke Out where Elder gets stuck in a cage, Toothless is the top competitor for more than a few dragon fights, and— what's this? By Thor, there's a colorful mood dragon here, and she can speak Norse! What are the odds of that?
Little does Elder know that wherever this mood dragon is, Camicazi will be close behind.
Do you think moon was more like pebbles when she was first made? I remember sig talked about how most iterators were in a similar emo phase early in their life.
Oh yes absolutely I think it's adorable if Moon saw a little bit of her loong gone days in him. The grumpy syndrome is genetic.
Though I do think she was a slightly different flavor than Pebbles! I swear I've mentioned this before, but I think she was the type to be working all the time and be keen on not wasting any time for meaningless things. She wanted to be proper and responsible. Very focused on her task and all like a self- respecting iterator should.
Time did soften this big ol' pebble though and her experiences with her colony and fellow iterators changed her a lot to the kind, wise and patient Moonie we know and love now.
- she and Jewel were about the same height when they were little, tho Tangle hit her growth spurt early teens while Jewel stopped growing around 11
- i’m fairly certain Tangle was that kid who chewed/ate their popsicle sticks
- she was definitely a stuffed animal kid(probably still is) but she’d always play too rough with them and she’d feel AWFUL whenever her ‘mini friends’ ripped
- the lemur has a bunch of scars from whatever dangerous antics she got into, one of which was a nasty cut, smack-dab on her forehead, it never bothered her but the thing stuck out like a sore thumb, and no she does not remember how she got it
Now I know we don’t all agree on who Lily’s father is, and that’s fine. But thinking about her being Patrick’s and…
Art guessing (knowing in his gut) that something happened in Atlanta and it might’ve been the last time he saw Patrick as well
Seeing Lily and seeing the little things she did that reminded Art of Patrick and Tashi’s sick to her stomach but Art loves her for it
Loves her mischievous spirit, her open affection. Her love of hotel rooms, a wanderer’s soul that Art knows is Patrick and he treasures every part of it because it is the only thing he has of his ex-(unrequited lover) best friend
When Tashi leaves to go to Patrick that night, Art knows and he lets her. He doesn’t sleep in their bed (it doesn’t feel like theirs anymore) and goes to Lily instead. He finds comfort in knowing though Patrick may have Tashi, Art has a piece of them both with him, the best parts of them.
