I love the little AU that skinny people live in where they have the same problems as fat people and can relate to the Experience. artists references are only for fat bodies, artists that do draw thin bodies are getting DMs from people going like "omg I'm so happy I discovered your art, it's so rare to find an artist who draws small bodies!!!!! for the first time I see people who look like me 😭😭" skinny people going "omggg I finally found a clothing brand that sells nice dresses in XS, I wish they weren't so so overpriced though" skinny people getting home from the doctor's office and collapsing on the couch to tell their roommate that their doc spent the whole appointment quizzing them about their diet and they were told they need to gain 40 pounds. but the doctor didn't want to check out the weird scraping sound they make when they breathe in, just that they should probably gain weight first. skinny celebrities and influencers spending thousands of dollars getting plastic surgery to transfer fat to their stomachs and jawlines. all the main characters in tv shows are fat. when you watch cartoons as a kid, there's one skinny character, and they're really dumb and annoying and get laughed at by the other characters. they're a loser and never get a boyfriend/girlfriend. the same clothes that are stylish when worn by fat people just get you made fun of. desirable romantic leads and manic pixie dream girls twirl their hair and say "yeeah I've just been fat my whole life, I just never lose weight no matter what I eat hehe" and this is an extremely endearing and attractive trait.

So I've been thinking lately about how Mithrun is Kabru's dark mirror (more on that another time- it needs its own post), and I thought it interesting that one of their parallels is that they were both cared for by Milsiril, but in opposite directions. She took Kabru in as her foster after he was orphaned and tried to convince him not to become an adventurer. On the flip side, she helped rehabilitate Mithrun specifically so that he could rejoin the Canaries.

And I kept wondering: why?

For Kabru, obviously she loves him a whole lot- despite any other shortcomings in their relationship, I do believe that.

So I get why she tries to convince him not to go dungeoning, and, failing that, at least prepares him as thoroughly as she can.

But why help Mithrun? She used to hate Mithrun, but after realizing what a secretly twisted person he was, she actually thought of him more positively (oh, Milsiril). So it wasn't as if she held the kind of grudge that might motivate her to make his already-depleted life even more miserable by sending him back to the dungeons. And it wasn't that she felt bad for him either, since she didn't visit Mithrun for the first ~20 years of his recovery.

The Adventurer's Bible says that Utaya was the impetus for Mithrun returning to the Canaries, but Milsiril is the one who made the trip to see him and tell him about it.

Why would Milsiril work so hard to get her old coworker back into fighting fit? Why encourage him to return to such a dangerous lifestyle, when she was the one who chose not to mercy-kill him?

That last panel is such a crazy thing to hint at and then never elaborate on. Without it we could have just thought that Milsiril wanted the Canaries' work to continue without her, even if it seemed out of character. I think some people even assume she's just a natural caretaker as a foster mom and handwave it to include nursing Mithrun too. What could Milsiril's suspicious motives be? What does she gain from Mithrun joining the Canaries that isn't an altruistic desire to see dungeons safely sealed? Feeling a sense of responsibility for the work she left behind isn't an ulterior motive.

My theory is: Milsiril, knowing that Mithrun was empty save for the burning desire to face the demon again, wound him up like a clockwork doll and pointed him back at the dungeons.

Hoping that he'd eliminate the biggest threat to Kabru's life, before it was too late for him.

I found out that it is Law's birthday today and the whumptober prompt of the day felt very targeted as well. Welcome to the Black Parade is a great song for him and I guess I show my love by drawing him covered in blood.

can i just say, it still makes me feel a little crazy how astarion, come act 3, still can’t quite put a name to his relationship with his partner, but he WILL tell them he wants to keep them both safe.

sounds like yet another holmes adaptation has fallen victim to accidentally giving johnlockers hope then going "fuck! no we're not doing that sorry we wouldn't want to mess with the canon in such a way" despite already messing with canon in a multitude of ways like what is this absurd mental block about making holmes queer??? he can be a rat they can all be androids in whatever time period it's all fine. every adaptation happily mess with female character from the stories making them love interests or dead or flipped gender it's all fair game apparently but if anyone dare suggests the men who live together for decades might actually love each other it's straight to holmesian jail like the fuck??? i know I've been harping on about this for decades but it's just insane holmesian stories have been contorted to the edges of creative licence for a century and no one bats an eyelash until queerness is mentioned and suddenly it's a step! too! far! i adore the holmes canon exactly because it's inspired such love and offshoots over the years so much if modern media can be traced back why on earth is this innocent, well meanings and frankly obvious interpretation still so taboo? It's crazy how much feedee content is reblogged by people with "fat fetishists/feeders/feedees DNI" in their bios

Like, I think lots of people in the world are tummy lovers and fat admirers (bc it's inherently lovely as are all bodies) but the label of feedism (or specifically FEEDERISM) is seen as this manipulative and sick kink when... it's rly not. So many people seem to really be into soft feedism, but think that if gaining to immobility and health problems aren't involved that means it's no longer feedism? They don't see that extreme feedism is not what the majority of the community partakes in.

Not that extreme feedism is manipulative or bad either! But they're just so repulsed by the concept that they won't take any time to approach it and learn what it is. So they think there's no way for feedism to be practiced ethically and write it off entirely.

I think feedism and fat admiration in kink is something that people are going to need to evaluate and accept if we are ever going to get true fat liberation. It's okay to want to be fat, it's okay to be turned on by your fat body, and it's absolutely okay to be aroused by eating and/or getting fatter. Food and fat and body worship is the basis of feedism (in its simplest form) and I think none of that is inherently evil. If being fat makes you happy and horny, get fat.

Absolutely based on the fact i was rereading some of @softest-punk's sandman advent calendar ficlets (yeah it's the end of March, who cares dhhs) and the semi-running gag of them drunk cuddling
