i’ll never get enough of the reversed vocals/choir in TOTK like they always give me goosebumps. the shrine completion music and going down below hyrule castle hits different, and it gives a breath of fresh air the game needed to make it stand out.
the fact the vocals are reversed also fits with the theme of the game and foreshadows in a way, that zelda goes back in time, so it’s like the music is recalling the past in a way.
the blood moon building up music also counts in this regard i think. even if it isn’t reversed it still gives similar/the same effect.
so I've picked up totk again after months of not touching it, and I started listening to other Zelda music while playing, more specifically Rozen (and Koji Kondo's?) version of the Majoras Mask soundtrack called Children of Termina.
And Holy Fucking Shit.
Exploring the depths with Termina field playing in the background is such an insane feeling— in general, what the music adds?? my heart??
This is really,, really showing how much more intense this game could've been if they had decided to add more music, to put a heavier focus on it. It would've made it so much more compelling.
I totally understand why they didn't, respect their choice,, BUT ALSO LIKE— AAAA
babe calm down, why don't you go listen to a beautiful video game soundtrack powerful enough on its own to move you to tears, maybe then you'll feel better

Campaign for Twilight Princess:
It's been ages since I've played TP but I assure you that game has some EXCELLENT music. Prime example: Midna's Lament. Literally one of the best songs I've heard from a game, possibly best song ever
