8. A song by a rapper
Unpretty Rapstar was a survival show for female rappers that ran for 3 seasons. Contestants completed tasks so they could have a chance at working with famous producers and being part of the UPR Vol. 3 album tracks - tasks included rap battles, freestyle challenges and the one-take music video challenge you see here.
I kinda have a thing for korean rapper girls, so this show was my jam; and 'She's coming' is one of my favourite tracks that came out of this show. What you see is a compilation of my favourite parts (in the original Instagram post) from my favourite contestants, first one being Jeon Soyeon, best female rapper of her generation in my opinion and leader of girl group (G)I-DLE.

A veces siento que todo es un capricho
Saben en este momento me siento cómo nunca creí que me iba a volver a sentir, todo iba tan bien y ahora no sé ni para dónde moverme.
Miren lo que encontré, la imagen de una de mis patinadoras favoritas, la verdad ella para mí es muy especial desde que me enteré que es católica. Leí una entrevista que hizo tiempo después de ganar la medalla de plata en Sochi, hablaba de la forma en que veía la derrota y cómo fue su programa, ella hablaba sobre los puntos que le otorgaron eran los que merecía, pero lo que más me sorprendió fue su relato sobre cómo fue su camino para convertirse al catolicismo.
En ese momento me encontraba desesperado, leer sus palabras me cambiaron la vida, no lo sé, pero me dió esperanza, sentí mucha empatía en como para ella llegó un momento en el que las lesiones volvían una y otra vez, llegando a la idea de que no iba a terminar nunca. Ella contaba que necesitaba a alguien o a algo que le dijera que valía la pena continuar y sí es que así era, necesitaba algo que le diera la fortaleza para seguir esperando.
Eso me cambió la vida, porque estaba hablando de Dios, de lo que es sentirte acompañado por él.
Ahora sé que sin Dios la vida no es igual, no sé cómo me he ido separando pero si sé los actos y lo que he dejado de hacer para apartarme de él, el capricho y la rebeldía que siento porque Dios no cumple mis caprichos, ahora lo veo y bueno, no sé en qué termine todo, pero leí que Dios nunca se va y nos ama de todos modos
Solo abrí la aplicación para encontrar una comunidad de personas a las que les guste el patinaje artístico, cada vez que veo el patinaje siento que la vida vale la pena, es mi inspiración en la vida.
Creo que la música clásica es un complemento del patinaje, y Mao Asada le daba vida a la música
No sé de qué va ir mi blog pero en este momento lo que más amo es el patinaje y la música, así que puedo compatir mi viaje sobre cómo ha ido eso

crossovers (✿◠‿◠)
really late, I know.
(edit: I’m going to make an entirely separate post for back crossovers bc that’s an entirely different game lmao)
anyways, hopefully these help! remember that perfect crossovers don’t magically appear overnight so be patient and practice!
forwards crossovers
one of the most important things is arm placement. when you’re doing your right foot over your left foot, you want to think of your right arm in front and your left arm behind you and vice versa. when you’re doing forward crossovers you want to be on the mid to mid-back of your blade so you don’t fall forward
-keep a good knee bend
-practice your inside and outside edges on a circle
-tighten your core
-practice the first push! when you push off the inside edge w your free leg, you want to straighten it behind you
-my coach had me do an exercise where I would stand still and cross one foot over the other, staying upright for as long as possible before pushing off whichever edge and propelling myself onto the ice. yea, it doesn’t sound like fun, but it really helps (plus it doesn’t hurt and you can slide on ya stomach like a penguin :0)
-on your second push, you also want to push off an inside edge (NOT THE TOEPICK) and straighten your leg, not only for looks but for speed.
