Four Pillars Navy Strength Gin
A Navy Strength #gin with a twist from @FourPillarsGin #GinReview

Four Pillars was established in 2013 by Matt Jones, Cameron Mackenzie, and Stuart Gregor just as craft distilling was beginning to take off in Australia. Now it is well established, having been awarded the title of the world’s leading gin producer by…

Took some time to do tourist things with my friend Shirlene over the last few days. I also snuck in a little book promotion whilst I did it.

What’s been in my glasses lately. The Oakridge Winery Block Shiraz was a teenager and worth the wait. Oakridge is definitely Yarra Valley’s showcase.
The Lagrein is one of Peter Forrest’s playgrounds where he’s allowed to plant out some of the more unusual varieties. Lagrein is normally at home in Northern Italy but Marlborough seems to suit it just fine.
Coriole’s Chenin Blanc is putting in the glass what you expect, crispy apples and pear, a little treat from McLaren Vale.

The first thing you ask yourself: HOW is this wine 7 years old??!? Barely yellow, a toasty, mineralific nose feeling more like Sancerre than Chard, bright, buttery fruit shockingly tight with peach, green nectarine and strawberry. A stunning wine to smell, frankly, and although I wasn’t sure WHAT to expect (Australian Chardonnay isn’t something I drink every day), it most certainly wasn’t…

Regeneration
Introducing my latest artwork and its a biggie….at 97cm x 152cm its the biggest painting I’ve completed to date and its been an abosolute joy to create.
Inspired by the treeline from a photo I took many years ago at my sisters property in the Yarra Valley in Victoria, the artwork has come to represent much more than its literal landscape that inspired the work.
Title: Regeneration
Medium: Mixed Mediums on Canvas, Stretched and ready to hang.
To find out more about this artwork and see more photo’s head to the artwork listing on my website.
