•You met Hans first as your twin Anna had introduced the two of you when she finally came home. You were using your hair as a swing as the maids tried to get you down.

•He caught you when you fell and feel in love with you instantly

“Master Y/N please come down you may get hurt!” “I’m fine Martha! I’ve done this multiple times!” Anna slammed open the doors bringing Hans with her. “Y/N!” “AHHH!” As you were startled by the loud banding noise you fell down quickly. Hans looked up and acted fast as he rushed to where he presumed you would fall which he caught you. Wrapping your arms around the mystery man you shut your eyes tightly still waiting for impact. Hans chuckled which made you open one of your eyes to see you were being held in a bridal style. “Huh?” “Hello there” looking up you saw your savior. “Hello! I’m Y/N! Oh I’m sorry here let me get down” He helped you get on the floor as soon as you were standing you brushed his coat. “There! Now who are you mystery man?” “Hans” “ooo~ pretty name~” “N/N!” “ANNA!” You ran to your twin sister as she jumped into a hug into your arms laughing as you spin her around. Hans felt his breath get taken away seeing you smile and laugh,he needed to wake up to that every day,he needed you.

•When Elsa finally met Hans which he was nervous of but you held his hand to make him feel calmer which just made him blush and feel much safer and in love.

•You and Anna went out so you finally cut your hair so that it could reach your lower back so you put it in a ponytail

•As you two walked you saw a reindeer and loving animals you fed it some carrots you held left over

•Kristoff meet you when he walked back to his stand to see a beautiful man feeding his best friend

“Hold on Anna! I need to cut my hair!” “O! O! Let me help!” As your sister cut it to your mid back you felt bad for the maids as they always dealt with this but they reassured you they loved you and didn’t mind cleaning up your hair. As you ran with your sister you put your hair in a ponytail so that you could at least control it. Anna was going everywhere while you saw a reindeer so you check your bag and found five carrots so you walked over to the reindeer and fed it to him which he seemed to love. “Your so pretty,whoever your owner is must be lucky to have you” Sven was eating up the carrots and compliment you were giving him. “SVEeeeeenn…” Kristoff stopped seeing a beautiful guy with a H/C ponytail and S/C skin that looks the softest. “Hello sir!” Out of fear you squeaked and jumped causing Kristoff to hold a chuckle in so that you wouldn’t think of him lowly.

•The two males didn’t know you met the other until Hans walked in on you cuddling Kristoff as he read to you

•When it was just you and Hans before he found out of Kristoff he’d braid your hair and talk about all the random things of the world

•When it was just you and Kristoff before Hans found out of him you’d two cuddle and read together or do artsy thing or just enjoy each other’s company

Hans walked to your room wanting to spend time with you until he heard something. “Each day,each week,each month,and each year I’ll be with you even if you wish me not to. I’ll follow you till the end of time. I’ll follow you until you die. You’ll be trapped in my grasp forever and I’ll never let you go. You are mine to keep. You will never leave me” Hans silently opened the door to see you cuddling Kristoff on your window. Kristoff was running a hand through your H/C hair while you laid on his chest hands on his chest. ‘Ahem!’ That caught the two males attention. “Oh hello Hans! You’ve not met Kristoff yet yes?” Hans and Kristoff glared at each other while forcing a smile. “I believe I have not met you yet” shaking each other’s hand it was obvious the grips were harsh and rough and tight. “Nice to meet you Kristoff” “Same with you Hans” You just smiled as your best friends have finally met each other. “It’s so good you two finally met! Oh we can spend so much time together now!” Upon hearing that the males gritted their teeth

•They found out about your hair power when Kristoff got extremely harm.

•He had a huge cut on his cheek and arm which made Hans happy but you worried

•They were amazed at your power

“Ugh fuck..” hearing your friends Kristoff’s voice YIU rushed to him making Hans groan as he follow you. “Oh my god Kristoff!” You ran to him and made him sit down as you lifted his sleeve to see his cut on his arm bleeding. Your back was turned to Hans so you didn’t see his smile but Kristoff did but you pressed a towel against his arm making his wince in pain. “FUCK!” “I’m sorry!” “No no it’s okay…it just hurts” thinking hard you took your hair down and wrapped it around Kristoff’s hand. Before Hans or Kristoff could ask you started to mumble as your H/C hair glow and start to heal Kristoff’s cut. “Holy shit…” “woah..” You looked over again to see if you got all his cuts and once you realize you did you hugged his face to your chest. “Don’t make me worry again dufus” “Heh,of course not my prince”

•They feel in love even harder with you

•They realized that in the endgame it wouldn’t be good if they kept fighting because that just make you less interested in them so they came to an alliance

•They bith started to court you

•Elsa and Anna saw this and kinda helped them as they were happy their baby brother was finally getting two suitors

•In Arendelle polyamorous marriage is allowed if all parties of the relationship are comfortable with it and have given consent. If one of the parties has not given consent then only the members of the parties shall get married unless that one person changes their mind (I’m making this up ofc)

•As Hans and Kristoff knew that they were both glad of that as you wouldn’t get in trouble

•Soon they asked you to date them while all three of you were in your room drawing or painting while Pascal was the judge of all y’all’s art (you won ofc)

You were lost in your painting you didn’t see that the males you’ve grown close with had stopped drawing and looked at each other nodding then turning to you. “Y/N me and Hans have a question and need you answer” stopping painting as you heard it in Kristoff’s voice it was a serious matter. “Yeah sure what is it?” Kristoff took deep breaths as he was more nervous of the two (that’s a lie hans was literally shaking). “Y/N me and Hans love you deeply and we don’t me in a friend way. We mean in a romantic way. We’ve been leaving hints of how’ve we felt for a long time and we thought now is a good time so Y/N will you date me and Hans” Gasping you covered your mouth making the Males think they’d have to go to drastic measure until they saw you rapidly nodding your head ‘Yes’ “Of course! I’ll gladly date you two!” “YESSSSSS!!” Kristoff cheered as he jumped in the air and ran around a while making you and Hans laugh at your new boyfriends happiness.

•Their so loving towards you. Always giving you affectionate even if it subtle.

•In public Hans doesn’t like showing much PDA unless he’s jealous while Kristoff loves showing a lot of PDA which you did to but since Hans was uncomfortable with showing a lot you just gave him hugs,hand holding,and cheek kisses in public. While you and Kristoff were extreme.

•In private Hans is the most affectionate man he’ll ever be making you laugh every time as you boyfriend acts so different in private then he does in public. Kristoff didn’t mind as he’s grown love for Hans (don’t worry Hans also love kristoff. So now you all are dating each other)

•Not surprisingly it was Hans and Kristoff who proposed to you because you were gonna propose to them two days later but seems like you won’t have to :)

You were all in the garden picking flowers for the up coming dance. Kristoff and Hans made eye contact and nodded the head towards you. “Y/N my love can you close your eyes and follow us?” “Sure!” You answered with hesitation because you trusted your boyfriends. Kristoff held his hands over your eyes whil Hans held your hand. Soon you stopped and felt Kristoff’s hands come off. “Open your eyes!” Opening your eyes you saw a beautiful sight before you. It was a beautiful waterfall with beautiful flowers and you were amazed. “It’s so beautiful…” “Look down babe,there’s a message” confused you looked down holding the rail and Kristoff holding your waist. You saw the message. ‘Will you marry us Y/N?’ Turning around you saw kristoff and Hans holding a wedding ring. “YES! YES! YES!” They put on the ring as they took turns to kiss you. You were all crying out of happiness. Elsa and Anna were watching the beautiful sight

•Now as your now fiancés their yandere tendencies don’t show often but when some guy or girl hits on you they can’t help but slowly crack

•Kristoff cracks his knuckles and neck while Hans’s eye twitch as he grips the knife in his hands

•Usually Hans would distract you while Kristoff took care of them as Kristoff was much more physically stronger then all of you

•The person flirting with you turns up missing or stops interacting with you how interesting

•You see nothing wrong as you still interact with your people everyday and your sisters think everything is normal

•As Hans himself is a prince (I believe not to sure) this is basically making an alliance between his kingdom and Arendelle which makes you both happy

•Kristoff’s family is surprised that he’s marrying Hans and you but he told them he’s not leaving either you which they knew

•Kristoff got away with the murders as Sven helped hide the bodies (YES EVEN THE FUCKING REINDEER! He’s platonic ofc)

•Hans manipulated everyone into believing nothing is wrong and everything is completely normal

•In the dead of night where you dead asleep being held by your lovers they smiled.

“He’ll never know yes?” “Of course Hans,he won’t know of the terrible things his husbands have done” “Good. I didn’t want our Angel leaving us” “and he won’t ever,he’ll stay with us forever no matter what we need to do” Soon the joined you still holding you.

Monday November 13, 2023

How many days has it been since I neglected this diary? To be fair I was really trying hard to be consistent, but my body gave up— it wasn't me. I was trying to stay up, I didn't even realize I slept so pardon me for that. These past few days has been really tiring me out, I'm slowly going back to 2021 Lindsey and I do not want that. That's literally why I started journaling— to squeeze out the creativity inside me and stop myself from going back to that Lindsey. Anyways, I forgot how many days I've missed but I'm guessing until Thursday last week? I forgot what happened in those days so I'll just tell you every interesting things that happened and, also some random things that I just remembered.

Thursday, nothing really out of ordinary happened, I was still practicing for line dance, it's damn exhausting. The weather was so hot and it's killing me, same thing as Friday. Though it was more interesting since I got to interact with my co-dancers there that I barely knew, I even gathered the courage to ask them if they have IG— they didn't have one.. Should've known, not that I'm judging them and I'm saying it's a bad thing but they were obviously what people call "jejemon". So they only have Facebooks, I had someone give me their facebook though, her name's Joana, she's also "jejemon" though more quiet?? She have a boyfriend I think, because that damned drummer guy kept on interrupting whenever I was about to talk to her, not that it's a bad thing but still it was kind of upsetting.

Had to come home at 6 after that since Maxine and I had to film for our TLE subject which is "how to install an app". It was frustrating!! The computer was malfunctioning or was it just that outdated?? It had no Microsoft store and you can't download things on playstore, well we did it with Adorable home but then I ended up cancelling it unintentionally... how to stupid of me. Though we ended up downloading Yandere Simulator!!! We didn't get to play though, the computer literally died after it downloaded, we had no choice but to let it go.. It was basically telling us to scram and that it was time to leave.

Forgot to add but line dance was kind of fun (only when we practiced in the court), Had lots of laughs because of the girls infront and behind me. They were really funny, It was fun watching them and I mess up. Have I told you that I'm quite literally broke again? Yup. How annoying, no? I literally didn't eat lunch for like two days(?) and then my money just vanished just like that....

Oh and... yes I'm going back to my "old ways", it's really frustrating. I thought I stopped. I couldn't. I hope I stop.

I literally forgot to write that I went to SM alone, it was on thursday me thinks. I was so tired of going back and forth because I couldn't find National bookstore, I ended up finding miniso first!! turns out National bookstore was on the ground floor! I couldn't find the second floor though? I remembered it having a second floor, I almost went in the staff room it was sooooo embarrassing I wanted to kill myself on the spot. National Bookstore was boring, it had no good books except Jujutsu Kaisen, the cover with Gojo was gone though guessing it went sold out. It had Pride and Prejudice too, Fyodor Dostoevsky, (i think) and Sherlock Holmes. I was looking for the Bell Jar, sadly they weren't selling it (they had Colleen Hoovers though ew)

MY PHONE ALMOST WENT MISSING! this happened on Friday, I was so scared, Thank God kristoff grabbed it. life saver for reals.

A-Adventure

Elsa definitely takes her darling on any spirit duties she has. If Anna invites her over for any reason you can bet her love is coming too. Beyond that Elsa is happy to do whatever you want for the rest of the time.

B-Binoculars

Elsa would only ever stalk her darling if she felt like she had a good reason. Like if you were in danger. She values your privacy too much to do it any more.

C-Color

Definitely the pinkest of pink roses. Her love is unconditional and so is her appreciation.

D-Dream

Honestly her dream life is the one you lead now. She hopes it lasts forever.

E-Eclipse

Honestly Anna’s probably the one who sets your relationship into motion (with help from Olaf and a begrudging Kristoff)

F-Fracture

Nothing would hurt as much as her darling being scared of her. It brings back awful memories of her childhood and that’s truly the worst thing you could do.

Maybe a bit lonely but overall it’s pretty close to normal.

H-Headcanon

Definitely uses her powers to make it colder so you’ll seek her out for warmth.

It was love at first smile for Elsa.

She doesn’t believe in locking her darling up. She remembers how it felt and it informs all of her decisions now.

Elsa is very sweet with her darling. She does her best to take care of them and make them happy. It’s may come out kind of stilted as it doesn’t come naturally but Elsa makes sure they always know how much she loves them. She friendly to most people she comes across. Even if she doesn’t like them she remains kind until her darling isn’t around.

M-Moonlight

Conflicted. Part of her knows what she feels and does is wrong but the other part says it’s justified.

N-Nurture

She cooks for you and makes sure to be a constant safe space for you. Also when your sick, there’s no better person to take care of you.

You two live in the Forest also have a designated room in the castle since you’re there so much.

She’d buy whatever her darling asks her too. She doesn’t usually think about buying her darling things but if she can tell her darling likes getting gifts or really wants/needs something then Elsa will spend ever bit in the royal treasury for her.

Her darling would have to propose to her because Elsa just stresses out so much about it that she’ll put it off forever.

S-Shelter

Will freeze someone if she really has to. Also uses her influence to get people locked up if need be.

Not very. She’s getting better but her darling will still have to initiate it usually.

Will do anything to make her love happy.

V-Valentine

Kind of seemed like a creep. She would follow them around and try to talk to them only to give up immediately and disappear. She’s lucky you thought it was cute or Elsa would still be knocking on your door and leaving only a bit of ice behind when you answered.

W-Willow

More than most yanderes. Elsa won’t stop her love from doing anything she wants unless it’s for sure dangerous or bad for you. As long as she can accompany you then the world is your oyster.

Her life was incomplete before you.

At first she’d want to isolate and lash out at anyone she used to hold dear but after awhile she’d try to act closer to how she thinks youd want her to. She’d come out of losing you a more outgoing, open person.

Why do people dislike Reiji? (Thoughts)

Disclaimer: This is not a proper character study like narihira made for Reiji here, and this was not made with the intent to offend. You're perfectly entitled to your own opinions ^^ This is more of a general summery of thoughts on the subject below and isn't meant to be taken too seriously.

I did a similar post on Yui, which tackles the hate she receives here, but since the dislike on Reiji is more complicated, this needed to be longer. I'm just rambling for about 2,500 words. Very non professional. Have fun!

About a year ago I continually saw posts or comments about the second eldest Sakamaki brother and what a douche canoe he was. Since I figured it was none of my business, I just ignored it, and the comments bypassed my notice. However, recently I've seen a mini serge in dislike for Reiji again (mostly in youtube comments), and I got to thinking;

Why do people dislike Reiji seemingly more than the other characters?

Now this isn't to say that some of the brothers aren't disliked for various reasons, but none of the dislike geared towards them is half as...vocal. Despite the Lost Eden popularity poll showing that he did pretty well in the ranks, the dislike seems constant. Not loud and in your face, but just a continuous feeling of...urgh, for Reiji. (At least in Western audiences)

So today lets have a little look into the tea loving pigeon boy and why he seems to get under the skin of so many.

Now, since we're all familiar with Reiji, I'm sure he doesn't need an introduction. However! Casting my thoughts back, I know that my first introduction to him and the franchise was the anime. I'm sure this is the same for many of you out here in the West.

Since this is probably the case, lets roll with that.

Anime Reiji

Our first introduction to Reiji is in episode 1. Yui has just been shoved down by a guy and licked, it happens. Reiji makes his presence known, and Yui is pretty grateful for the interruption.

We get our first look at him. The image he gives off is very butler-esque. I've seen a few people admit that they thought he was the actual butler of the house initially. He has a stern, gentlemanly charm about him, so common in megane characters it's become a trope.

Now I'd say it's very unlikely that this show was your introduction to anime as a whole. You'd probably seen at least a few to have fallen into the hell of otome adaptations. This will have set up an expectation for you. You know the glasses wearing guy. He's stern, smart, cold, snarky but usually has a soft side hidden somewhere.

All this expectation has been weighed onto Reiji's shoulders within the first episode. Yes he's a vampire, so we're expecting some bloodsucking, and hey, you probably heard that the series was full of jerks, but really, Reiji will just be kinda stern, right?

Nah.

Fast-forward to episode two and Yui wakes up to nearly getting her blood sucked. Again she is saved by Reiji's intervention.

She receives a carton of cranberry juice from him and although we're warned that she's basically just going to be used as a blood-bag from now on, a sense of responsibility has been tied to Reiji's name. He's organised as evidenced by him giving her a school uniform and explaining the situation to her (albeit sternly.)

So we as the audience see him as a well put together guy.

Then we have half a second of Reiji casually announcing that he will whip Yui if she disobeys him. If you were like me, you weren't paying attention to this detail the first time round, so this information flew over your head. If you were paying attention, then you probably either did a double take, frowned, or smiled like this; ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But that was just half a second, and new stuff is being thrown at you, so that little tidbit is forgotten for awhile.

Episode 3 - We see that Reiji very obviously dislikes Shuu.

Fast-forward to the killer that is episode 5 and this is where I feel like the dislike chart goes through the roof.

Up to this point, Reiji's been an okay guy. Not nice, but not bad. If he's your type then your swooning from the megane feels. If he's not your type then you're most likely lukewarm or just indifferent to him. But this episode changes those feelings for some.

His scene opens with Yui waking him from a dream, that he reveals to be a nightmare. He decides to make some tea, and Yui somewhat awkwardly waits as he sits down with a cup, not giving her any. He sneers at her for automatically assuming that she'd get a cup too, which is what we as the audience would also assume. It's common courtesy, and the way he worded it was purposefully misleading. Therefore when she doesn't receive a cup, we feel a wince of unfairness. We feel that he's a jerk for denying her, because he quite obviously has the means to give her a cup and it would cost him nothing to do so. He just doesn't on principle that she's a blood-bag and should 'know her place.'

There is also a faint sense of unease, because while it does fit with his image to be a stern jerk, it's slightly jarring to see someone so full of manners deny someone common courtesy. It doesn't fit with the aforementioned image and perception we have of a gentleman character.

Still with me on the unfairness thing? Cool.

Next we have Yui accidentally angering him because of an innocent comment about Shuu, and we see a flashback of Reiji as a young boy.

Now, being ignored at a young age is horrible, and very damaging to a child. I think at least some of you in the audience felt something at the sight of Reiji watching his mother and Shuu from afar, but this sympathy is quickly erased for some.

Reiji randomly decides, hey, you CAN have tea Yui.

Yui has some, but then discovers that it's poisoned. She breaks the cup and collapses.

Reiji expresses annoyance with her at coughing so openly and breaking his cup. Those in the audience feeling animosity towards him get even more fuel for their Reiji dislike pile. He is again reaffirming the notion that he values manners, but since he denied her tea earlier and then poisoned her, the manners thing feels grating and an excuse to nitpick, rather than being interested in upholding propriety.

Things take a downward spiral as the blood sucking scene happens, but since he's a vampire this part isn't what people tend to take issue with. It's more that in this scene, Reiji exhibits some out of nowhere psychopathic behavior by saying that he'll bandage Yui's hand so tight that it will rot and fall off at the wrist, then screaming and crying, she will finally die.

(*whispers* the pacing in this anime is a bit off. Just y’know..a bit. Reiji is sadistic and frightening but this felt so out of left field. I could write a whole other post about how this anime’s poor pacing affected peoples perceptions of Subaru but that’s for a whole other day. )

This scene is quite intense and gives a lasting impression on Reiji's character.

All of the above has taken place within the space of just a few minutes, and the thoughts on his behavior have most likely been subconsciously felt. From this point on for many, they absolutely refuse to trust in Reiji's character again. They wont like him because of this slight.

So, why the sudden and sustained feelings of dislike?

Well my friends, let's take a look at some similar characters.

Exhibit A - Hans from Frozen

Exhibit B - Toma from Amnesia Memories

I'm assuming you know these two guys, but if not then here's a quick run down. (Spoilers for Frozen and Amnesia Memories.)

Exhibit A - Prince Hans is initially the love interest of the main character Princess Anna. He's charming, regal, charismatic, hot, and a gentleman. Those in the audience who didn't see his betrayal coming, quite liked him. Some liked him more than Kristoff. (My favorite part about watching Frozen with someone who hasn't seen it before and knows nothing about the 'twist', is asking them halfway through who they prefer, Hans or Kristoff. More often its been Hans.)

Then BAM! Twist! Hans as it turns out, is a selfish douchenozzle, and was out for the crown all along! Le gasp!

I've literally never seen people hate a character so quickly. And why? Well it's because we thought we knew him, and how dare he play us like he played Anna? Some of those in the audience associate him subconsciously with all the betrayals they've ever felt. Cheating boyfriend? Hans. Traitor friend? Hans. He is a reminder of every past betrayal and they hate him for it.

Exhibit B - Toma is one of the love interests from Amnesia Memories. While I'm sure many were shocked and angered by him in the anime, I'm going to speak of my experience with him in the game, as it was a special one.

Toma is again, charming, trustworthy, warm, friendly and a gentleman. He has an obvious protective streak but throughout the routes, it feels brotherly and nice. Then we get to his route.

It's just Toma, I think, merrily playing the game as MC stays at his house.

It's just... Toma, I wonder, as MC increasingly stays over longer and longer.

It's...Toma, I worry as MC keeps falling asleep after drinking Toma's offered tea.

HOLY SHIT TOMA! I scream, as she wakes up locked in a cage.

Anger, betrayal and dislike are intermingled with many peoples feelings towards Toma. He exhibits concern for MC but continually keeps her locked up and spirals into obsession. He shattered peoples expectations of him and then crushed them by revealing himself as a yandere and unearthing a problematic personality. (Hot for some, a deal-breaker for the entire game for others.)

So what do these characters have to do with Reiji?

Simple, they shattered audiences expectations, and thus gave them a sense of betrayal. (Again this is not for all audiences, but these characters are very disliked.)

But Reiji did not exhibit niceness before the betrayal of expectations, so why compare them? Well, I'm factoring his gentleman image again. Reiji may not have been nice before episode 5, but he did have the association of manners and fairness because of his 'type'. His actions in episode 5 turn so quickly violent and surprising that those in the audience already disliking him feel it sharpen.

Therefore, those disliking him wont see the good side of him that all the boys have somewhere. Yes they're all abusive assholes, but they do have good points, and Reiji is no different, it's simply that he's not given a chance to show them to those who dislike him, either because they don't read up on him, or any chances of interest or sympathy have been severed because of a loss of attachment.

The fact that he was ignored as a child is well...ignored. The fact that he saves Yui from dying at the end of the anime is also not enough to temper their dislike of him.

Episode 5 isn't entirely to blame for the dislike of Reiji, but it is a factor. HDB is another.

Reiji's actions and traits, explored:

I think those who played the games first or DID decide to give his route a chance after the anime, dislike him for his actions and traits. Reiji has a grudge holding personality, and is very bitter and resentful. For those who have never been in his position, it's understandable why he comes off as unrelateable. But if you keep an open mind, then he's not that difficult to understand

Being ignored is awful. You have no sense of self worth. Couple that with a sibling who receives everything you crave but throws it away, and of course you can see how Reiji became so twisted and broken.

We find out that he set the fire that killed Shuu's best friend Edgar. He did this as a child, which he later admits to, in a neither gloating or arrogant way. In fact he just seems to be acknowledging it as an act he did as a child, something in the heat of the moment (no pun intended) but not a moment he prides himself on.

Odd. Surely such a man would be happy that he'd crushed his brothers spirits?

Next we have Reiji hiring a vampire hunter to kill Beatrix. Again, a very horrible act, yet again, it's not as cut and dry as it seems. Reiji doesn't want to resurrect his dead mom to kill her over and over again for the sake of it. It's left unsaid that the reason her death bothers him so much, is that it was the one time his whole life that she actually acknowledged him on his own, not as a servant to Shuu.

I honestly don't see anyone disliking Reiji for his treatment of Cordelia, the dude was a badass in those scenes.

I don't think he gets enough credit for how well he handles her toxic personality and that he absolutely doesn't take her shit.

He even takes beatings for Yui. This prideful man lowers himself to be Cordelias plaything. FOR A HUMAN. Thats pretty darn massive for someone like Reiji. I find it interesting that Reiji doesn't break from a loss of control of a situation. Laito, someone who seems constantly relaxed, snaps easily if Yui threatens his control by disobeying him. But Reiji keeps calm. What makes him break composure is always a mentioning of Shuu or his mother.

Ultimately Reiji appreciates strong women but he abhors manipulative ones. He even acknowledges Yui as a strong willed girl, which is most likely one of the key reasons for why he becomes attracted to her, aside from her honest kindness.

Then there's the 'training' he puts Yui through. As I said before, Reiji utterly disregards the social conventions that his image seems to uphold. He has no problem with being rude and snarky and can and will do as he pleases because Yui is under 'his roof'. Now, Reiji does care about rules, but he cares about his rules. He has strict guidelines and etiquette that he follows and believes that everyone else in house should too. This is confusing, because one minute he's the salty mom character who insists on getting everyone to school on time and getting good grades, (except Shuu) but then he can switch into paralyzing you with tea because lol I needed to test my new poison and you were convenient.

The whole thing about keeping the family up in the grades department links with self reflection. It all comes back to his need for perfection, because perfection is the only way you might be acknowledged.

That's who Reiji is at his core. He's bitter, complicated and cruel, but ultimately he just wants to be seen. He wants people to acknowledge and love him the way he's never experienced before.

I see him as just as lonely as the other brothers, and though people who dislike him have said that being ignored is 'not as bad as' *insert other brother's backstory here* I cant agree with the sentiment. For one thing I don't think it's right to compare different experiences and weigh them as 'more damaging.' It's just not fair to compare them. It's like in real life when you try and explain your bad experience and someone tries to one up you by voicing an even worse experience. Its not about which is worse. Different individuals experience and are affected by different things.

So in conclusion: I'm not saying - YOU SHOULD LIKE REIJI AND IF YOO DON'T HOW DARE-

I'm just saying that by digging a little deeper into a character you think you dislike, then sometimes you can unearth something surprising and similar to yourself. (Except Shou Tucker from Full Metal. That guy can burn in the pits of hell)

You don't have to like Reiji, but I think by writing him off and distancing yourself from one boys route, you ultimately loose out on understanding the whole picture of Diabolik Lovers.

This is all coming from someone who didn't used to like Reiji, and to be honest I did write him off. But after reading his routes and keeping an open mind, trying to see things from his perspective, I'm very glad I did. It gave me insight into another interesting character, and that's never a bad thing.
