One of our Patrons, specifically Peter from the $5 tier, came up with an excellent idea for Movie Health Community that I'd like to make happen right here and now: a curated list of movies that are safe for photosensitive audiences to watch! Out of the 1074 movies we've evaluated so far, 130 of them have a Flashing Lights score of 0 or 1, so here is that list of 130 titles, in alphabetical order.

Hello, Duchess! I've been going down your rabbit-hole of royal/noble information, so you're probably getting notifications from me liking a boatload of your posts. Lol. My main work that deals with royalty is going to be more geared towards Antiquity styled monarchies, since it involves the Fair Folk in an Iron Age / early-medieval petty-kingdom (which accidentally gets ruled by an Asian-American woman, since their previous leader was in the Wild Hunt and they're desperate for anyone who's NOT him to take over). A lot of your stuff is only semi-relevant in that "my new queen needs to know the rules for her stream of guests," but I sure like being able to procrastinate!

Unfollow Us Now Challenge
Not actually trying to make you unfollow or anything but just like, putting out our controversial takes that are generally consistent through the system and/or I specifically as a part have no patience for and because I have no patience for it, no one in this system can cause I'm Like That as a part.
Anyways I'm gonna sit here and think of the shit that is 'controversial' about us.
White people are inherently problematic until proven otherwise (Not a hard rule, but general perspective of mine)
"Western Tulpamancy" is cultural appropriation (Not Up For Debate)
We will always reblog the "reblog to explode a TERF" button
We don't believe in heavily policing labels as long as they are in good faith
We do not give two shits about endos / endodiscourse
We half jokingly say we "kin" things
We do not believe in narcissistic abuse and adjacent shit
We are a raging commie (technically "we" aren't, technically only I am, but I'm converting Riku and Im a mega raging commie)
We hate p*dophiles and zoophiles (can't believe this is a 'controversial' topic)
We will judge you if you buy a bred parrot for any reason other than saving it
We are Luciferian / Satanist in philosophy and we really dislike Christianity / Catholicism / Mormonism / Adjacent Religions
We will look at you in extreme judgement if you are shipping incest / pedophilia / etc - especially unapologetically
We support omegaverse and actually think personally it is very gender friendly
We have Cluster B traits - very likely ASPD and NPD
We think syscourse and online discourse in general is dumb
We think the psychiatric system is broken
We think the prison system is broken
We think the medical system is less broken but broken
I hate America with a passion. Other parts not as much but I do.
We are pro legally authorized conservation managed / conscious hunting
We probably would save a bird over a child any day (not a serious one, but we are low empathy to people and love our birds)
We unfortunately live in America, its cool if you wanna unfollow us cause of that, I would too
We are queer and trans ooooh spicey
We are ALSO Asian oooooh bigots begone
We don't know or enough on SW discourse / policy and therefore have no opinion and leave that discussion to people more engaged and dedicated and involved in the pragmatics of that
We think Attack on Titan is HELLA problematic, but Riku very much loves the sound track and art style
Harry Potter just sucks AND is problematic like why do people still engage with it (not actually a huge deal mainly putting this as a joke)
We don't think wild animals should be kept as a pet
We are mild to moderate jocks and love our martial arts
We 100% believe that cats should be kept indoors and heavily judge those that let their cats be let outdoors unsupervised and unleashed
We don't really like most fruits
We are likely aiming for final fusion
If you celebrate Lunar New Year but aren't of a person of the culture and aren't invited by a person of the culture, then we will judge you
We "believe" in Climate Change
We eat meat
Annnnd I can't think of any more. Will update next time I sit down of things people might be upset about.

MP - Copy for exhibitions
LO2
Below is the copy to accompany the content in each exhibition. My goal for these pieces of text was to encourage audiences to think more analytically towards absurdist content.
BEAR
‘Unedited Footage of a Bear’ was uploaded to YouTube by Adult Swim 9 years ago, garnering 8.2 million views in that time. A seemingly normal video at first depicting a bear in the wild, the video quickly transforms into a fake advertisement for an allergy medication, conventional of how an advertisement on YouTube might be displayed. This ‘advertisement’ subsequently descends into a scrambled, almost Lynchian narrative with body doubles, flashing lights and, as audiences discovered, a large underlying narrative to be found. ‘Unedited Footage of a Bear’ was the beginning of an ARG, an alternate reality game.
Unlike other games, ARGs are not advertised. Running parallel to the real world, the narrative these games have are pieced together by clues the creator(s) leave in the content. Another example of an ARG is ‘This House Has People in It’, a found footage, ten-minute-long video featuring a family acting strange whilst their daughter sinks through the kitchen floor. By exploring clues such as internet links to a fictionalised surveillance company and using words on the fridge as passwords for these websites, audiences were able to access hours of footage giving context to the original material and decoding the mystery the content produced. The scavenger hunts of the internet, ARGs can engage audiences in an immersive mystery that brings internet communities together.
Used often as horror games such as ‘Welcome Home’, the unease the exploration of the web as a context to play produces is apt for developing playing styles that bring communities together, but ultimately isolate the player in their individual exploration of the internet. This, alongside the lack of concrete answers to how these narratives play out, changes the way that we interact with the web. The digital becomes a space of secrecy and detail, rather than the explicit answers it can provide us with.
ORIENTALISM
Orientalist theory, as described by Edward Said in ‘Orientalism’, suggests that Western cultures perceive Eastern cultures as mysterious and strange. This subconscious bias, largely influenced from attitudes from the era of the British Empire, has affected Asian communities greatly over the years. One example of Orientalism at play in mainstream culture was Western coverage of Covid-19, with much speculation surrounding both Asian diets and government conspiracies as the origins for the virus. Despite Gen Z’s interest in social justice, it appears that this bias is bleeding into the absurd content we are exposed to daily.
Chinese content has recently been circulating on social media with a range of content from animated animals dancing to Mandarin songs about showering to over enthusiastic language coaches. Chinese and Arabic script is applied to some content as well as AI-generated Mandarin covers of ‘Part of Your World’ over natural disasters in Roblox. If not outwardly using Asian people and language as the absurdism, Asian codes and conventions are applied as part of the bricolage of the absurd content. Whether intentional or not, this represents Asian cultural conventions as unusual or ‘other’.
The implications of including these conventions into absurdist, comedic content are clear, that they will contribute to the process of ‘othering’ Asian cultures as mysticised and strange. The content that we consume, whether passively or not, influences our outlook of the world and our perception of other cultures. This exhibition asks that next time you see Asian imagery in absurdist content to consider why the imagery you are seeing is strange to you: is it absurd, or is it just different?
AI
AI image and audio generation as firmly centred itself as an efficient way of producing content for social media. Currently, AI generated content is easily recognisable through image style and voice conventions. This, however, does not prevent content from being produced with it. In fact, it could be theorised that the visual conventions of AI-generated content could enhance the user experience and give the work more context (Steyerl, H. 2009). AI also makes production of absurdist content on social media more accessible. Before AI-generation, you may need access to certain video editing softwares and artistic skills to produce content whereas now writing prompts is the full extent of the creator’s effort. This also contributes to mass-production of these videos to garner larger views and following, supported by algorithms which reward frequent, consistent posting.
The realms of Instagram Reels and TikTok is a post-modern media stream, reliant on the creation, breakdown, and recreation of content, developing trends in content, editing style and other aspects in the process. The implementation of AI speeds up this process of iteration and difference with AI-generated sounds and music becoming part of a multitude of trends and content. An example being the video bricolage of a streamer crying to AI-generated singing of the cast of ‘Family Guy’. This content has been through multiple different methodologies of production - brought together alongside AI content to produce a new, absurdist product.
AI produces uncanny media products which rapidly contribute to the attention-based economy of social media with minimal effort. With the increased accessibility it allows for, as well as it’s ability to separate content creator from content, AI will remain increasingly popular in short form video. As the technology changes/improves, it will be interesting to see the forever-changing role it has in social media content production.
FLOPTROPICA
Trisha Paytas as Secretary of Defence may feel nightmarish to some, but on the fictional island of ‘Floptropica’ this is a dream come true. Playing with the workings of ‘real world’ governments, the island with, a population of  32,718,546 as of 2023, has elected a multitude of female internet celebrities to hold office. With a deep history of many conflicts and uprisings, Floptropica celebrates and uplifts the women of the internet past the status of ‘gay icon’ to positions of government.
A communal ‘trend’, ‘Floptropica’ lore is created by individual users compiling clips from the internet of these personalities. Each video in the matrix that is TikTok and Instagram contributes to the construction of this fictionalised space: an idea of a place as a shared idea, constructed by individuals. This trend arose from ‘floptok’, a side of TikTok highly influenced by pop/‘stan’ culture, which featured absurdist editing techniques and sound bites from pop culture moments often featuring female gay icons.
The audience that engages and produces content with ‘Floptropica’  is largely LGBTQ+, particularly gay men. By creating a fictional island and celebrating the women in culture who represent and speak for these communities, the LGBTQ+ community can choose its own history and politics. This is especially pertinent in the context of modern queer politics which slowly tip toe towards right-wing ideologies. With reforms to transgender care and debates regarding the legality of conversion therapy, the political landscape appears bleak for queer people. ‘Floptropica’ provides a fantasy that feels unattainable in the ‘real world’.

Some current thoughts on our current board games list, Dec 2023
I've wanted to do a fun thing where people vote for their liking of board games, as a sort of popularity vote thing, but I've been pessimistic that it would hype up results considering the general lack of activity in my server and the small number of people who play board games with me, so instead, I thought of sharing my own thoughts on these games.
I'll try to keep this list relatively short so that hopefully you woiuldn't have already fallen asleep by the time you're done reading this sentence.
Cleopatra and the Society of Architects
Tumblr media
I wanted to start by saying that Cleopatra got clearly dethroned despite having been a former mainstay of our groups. Couple with one of the players' lack of enthusiasm for the game and me having played this for over 10 years, I'm preferring games where I have more control and options now, similar to my sentiments on the game Ludo. Most of the game you seem to be waiting on getting cards that match and then just playing them when you do. The strict 10-card limit doesn't give you many options, just draw and play if you draw the right cards.
2. Puerto Rico
Tumblr media
Puerto Rico has for the most part been a mainstay for our groups. But between my parents not playing competitively and my IRL friends seeming to be just "fine" with this style of game, this game has mostly been only played with my online groups where it seems to be a lot more enjoyed by comparison.
The inclusion of what are essentially slaves does make this game difficult to recommend to new players as I'd prefer to make sure that this would sit well with the players first. There is a new edition that replaces them with paid workers, but I already have multiple versions of this game, and the board game cafes also generally use the original edition, so it isn't too easy to play the sanitized version.
It seems that San Juan, a card game alternative, is also pretty well-liked among my friends and parents, perhaps due to its shorter time needed and simplicity. Its lack of direct reference to slavery also make it easier to recommend to new players.
3. Fellowships of Fate
Tumblr media
One of the newer games I got as part of the East Asian board games buys, Fellowships of Fate seems to have good staying power. My internet friends seem to quite enjoy it, though it seems I've only managed to play this with one IRL friend and my parents. They didn't seem all that enthusiastic about it, especially my parents, though in part due to it having an RPG theme which my parents aren't fond of.
This is a light game and I think will be one with considerable staying power. I look forward to playing this some more.
4. Maid Knight Saga
Tumblr media
This is an unfortunate one. Its high complexity in the rules and its lack of clear instructions on the cards seem to have been offputting to a friend in each of the groups, enough for one of them to suggest against playing this game even. I think that is a big shame though, as the strategic aspect of this game is I think really cool, though I generally stress about hosting this game for everyone and consequently never really get to strategize myself because it's easy to make mistakes, especially for those who are new to the game.
However, this game's lack of reliance on text makes it a decent candidate for playing with different groups who speak different languages, compared to another game with an anime-aesthetic that we have been doing, Kradia 2: Wild Hunt Festival, which is highly text-dependent, and makes it a hard recommend for players who can't read the hero skill effects.
5. Dominion/Heart of Crown
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In general, whether our groups play Dominion or Heart of Crown comes down to accessibility. Dominion is more likely to be found in board game cafes, but if my friends are coming over or if we're having an online game via tabletop sim and have the time for it (it generally takes around 3 hours, even though the box says it only takes 40 mins), I do Heart of Crown with my weeb friends.
Perhaps not too surprisingly, these games seem to sit the most well with my groups who enjoy TCGs. My parents and one of the groups seem a little less enthusiastic about it, although one of the groups still isn't clear on the scoring system yet.
6. Citadels
Tumblr media
Citadels has been my favourite board game for a while. In the lastyear, it's seen considerably fewer plays, most recently been overshadowed by the new games our groups are more obsessed over, namely the aforementioned Fellowships of Fate and Heart of Crown.
My recent game of Citadels at a board game club took unexpectedly long and I used a card to make the game end at 7 cards because I didn't want to discuss the shorter rules when the rest of them were following the 8-card endgame condition as shown in the instructions.
7. Scrabble
Tumblr media
I've had recent resparked interest in Scrabble after seeing people play in ways that specifically prevent their opponent from being able to score the Triple Word scores. It was then that I found out that Scrabble is actually a deep strategy game, when at school they promoted it as a game where you simply make big words, as part of an English-learning game.
I do recommend rethinking about this game as a strategy game and not just as a "make big words game", which may give you quite a different perspective on it if you had also only played it like we had.
The main problem with this game is that it is language-dependent, which makes it ill-suited for groups whose English (or any language that uses the Roman alphabet) isn't too good. I was recommended Qwirkle as an alingual alternative, but even its board variant Qwirkle Connect cannot replicate the strategies you build around premium spaces in Scrabble. Qwirkle seems to be played in my groups as more of a necessity to avoid the use of English. If you want the full experience of strategizing around the spaces and tiles with different point values, we'll have to bust out the original Scrabble.
8. Goita
Tumblr media
A traditional game from Noto, Goita is played using tiles with the instantly-recognizable shogi shape.
Shogi is a hard game to master. I have some friends who have shown interest in shogi, but cannot bring their defenses enough to prevent a simple static rook attack. I like to introduce them to Goita as something shogi-themed, but that is much easier to pick up.
Goita is played over multiple short rounds, and as such fit the requirements of filler/micro board games. I find that I enjoy playing Goita as a filler game, although it tends to take longer than smaller micro games such as Love Letter. The only problem is again, language dependency. Not even my some of my English-speaking weeb friends recognize the kanji on shogi pieces, so I recommend internationalized sets like the one I have devised specifically for Goita (shown below), or alternatively try the adaptation Kami, which is the same game (with small changes, especially regarding 2 and 3 player rules) but without using kanji. At least that would probably be less off-putting if you're trying to introduce this to a friend.
Tumblr media
Above: My internationalized Goita set for those who have trouble with kanji.
9. Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
Tumblr media
Along with 100% Orange Juice, these make the digital board games portion of my board games list. I debated whether I wanted to add this game to our board game rotation, but I decided to focus less on whether it qualifies as a board game and more in its experience. Keep Talking sure has more in common with playing a board game with your friends than playing a multiplayer video game with your friends. In fact, the sentiment that this "is essentially a board game" has also been echoed in board game forums, but the fact that the computer needs to check for whether you have solved the randomly-generated puzzles makes this hard to be a physical board game.
This doesn't see a lot of plays, partially as it is mostly best with 2 players and requires your friends to not mind going through large amounts of texts (which some of them do), as well as either playing local co-op or through a voice call (I don't imagine it would be as easy to defuse them as fast if you're typing in the voice text channel, unless you're looking for a real challenge), but I thought it would be funny to talk about it making into our board games list.
Final words
I suppose I'll end the list here. I could say more, but I wanted not to make this list too long so that more of you may (hopefully) get to the end. If there are any games I have more thoughts on, I suppose I will write up a new post when the time comes.
Happy board gaming!

25 Authentic Finnish Recipes and Foods (2022)
youtube
Are Finnish recipes a smart option to include on your menu? Many individuals will tell you that the lack of fresh vegetables and the bitterly cold environment make Finnish food inferior to that of its neighbors. I’ll present you with a different image though.
Whatever freshness Finnish food may lack, they make up for with flavor and creativity. This essay will show you how to include such unusual dishes into your menu in a variety of ways.
Jump to Old Style Finnish Recipes and Food Jump to Modern Finnish Recipes and Food Jump to 25 Authentic Finnish Recipes and Foods
Traditional Finnish Recipes and the Finnish food culture was mainly set on farming going all the way before recorded history. Still, agriculture showed to be insecure and non-effective due to the extremely cold temperatures. Having a safe way of life thus required adaptation of food from nature to survive the failure of crops. Since there was a shortage in milking, and the animals being slaughtered could not exhaust the population’s basic needs, fishing and hunting proved to be good sources of proteins.
Nevertheless, the Finns have assimilated into their dishes additional international influences like Spanish and Asian fusions that are taking place in some of their restaurants. Trends such as sustainability and organic foods have ever-increasing roles to play, including the demand for vegan and vegetarian diets. Tanttu says that even though most professional cooking has classic French cuisine as a basis, the modern Finnish recipe creators do not forget their history and infuse their twist into each dish.
Old Style Finnish Recipes and Food
All fish types are popular all over the Finnish recipes chart, with the specialty being smoked fish, even though it can appear steamed, grilled, pickled, or grilled. The salted fish was common throughout the country, mainly accompanied by potatoes and bread. The coastal areas mostly had the Baltic herring, which was grilled over a fire on a wooden skewer. Since fishes are seasonal, salmon and perch are common in spring and summer. At the same time, crayfish has always found its prominence between July and August, which mostly leads to the organization of large crayfish parties.
As far as meats go, Finnish food are no different from its northern Europe neighbors in being the carnivore’s paradise. Traditionally, they used meats of all animals as food, except the horseflesh. The crown jewel in the meats section of traditional Finnish recipes is the reindeer, in addition to which you will find excellent game birds. The Finns from the countryside slaughtered just once a year, where they kept the fat, entrails, and blood for processing to make a diverse number of dishes.
The Finns have not found it in their hearts to abandon wild berries in the main courses of their diets; they have also brought them into their desserts. The most common is the Arctic berry, also known as lingonberry, which is sour when eaten raw but makes excellent compote, jam, liqueur, and wine. It has been a part of authentic Finnish recipes since the early times. Then comes the yellow or bright orange cloudberry growing in the swampy terrain. It has a tart, earthy flavor that blends well with game meat. Some other berries include rowan berries, bilberries, and sea buckthorn berries.
As for their drinks, the Finns love their alcohol, with vodka being a favorite tipple that has brought names such Koskenkorva and Finlandia to world fame. What might not be known to outsiders as being part of traditional Finnish recipes are the fruit wines they make from raspberries, strawberries, white-, red- and blackcurrants. In the cold winter months, they warm themselves up with the delicious Gloggi, which is more like a mulled wine with spices and is at times topped up with rum or brandy. Those who are adventurous opt for the Salmiac or licorice vodka, an acquired taste.
Modern Finnish Recipes and Food
Traditional Finnish recipes are based on a culture of “eat-to-live,” whose sole design was giving people strength and enabling hard work. It has passed through vigorous evolutionary processes that have gradually transformed into a delicacy worth the dime.
The Finnish recipes might not yet be acclaimed worldwide for their culinary delights, but the last decade has been experiencing a quiet food revolution. There is a new generation of chefs who are not scared of mixing up things, opening new food joints, and excellently using the local products to work their magic. These chefs do not fear innovations, which has seen them bring fresh ingredients like lingonberries and arctic clouds to the table as accompaniments to reindeer, elk, bear, or even beaver.
Finland has an abundance of fields, forests, lakes, and a long coastline, bringing a veritable larder to their doorsteps. The modern chefs and restauranteurs have been swift in cottoning on this by using whatever is readily available to generate new delicacies. The heart of this new Finnish food is Helsinki, from where the leading chefs in 2000 developed the “Helsinki Initiative” to promote good Finnish recipe creation. Great emphasis is being placed not only on fresh local produce but is also being placed on good contact with that small-scale local producer.
Most of this new generation of  Finnish chefs have traveled broadly or gotten their education from abroad, which they are now using to fuse and mix the traditional Finnish food with ingredients and flavors of international acclaim to make huge impacts.

The flavors are unpretentious and clean, with a traditional dill infused broth touched with allspice. I make it in the spring, of course, when wild salmon is in season, but it’s become one of my favorite winter meals, too.

I love this authentic Finnish recipe for Kalakukko! This is my second version of the pie. There is another u mashenki. But they are all different. 21. Piparkakut (Traditional Finnish Gingerbread Biscuits)
Piparkakut are spiced, orange-infused ginger cookies with a lovely crunch. Unlike some gingerbread cookies, these are a touch lighter and far less sticky.
But that doesn’t mean they’re not tasty! Between the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and mixed citrus peel, these will hold their own against any cookie on the plate.
22. Bread Cheese or Leipajuusto
When it comes to Finnish food, cinnamon rolls and this bread cheese = leipäjuusto. It is a non-fermented cheese with a chewy texture. The cheese itself doesn’t have much flavor, and it is served with cloudberry jam, which is also synonymous with Finland.
23. Salty Licorice or Salmiakki
People who love black licorice will flip for these assertively flavored candies. This is another Finnish food that we have to give the credit for to Sweden. Salty licorice, or s

Still struggling on a Ren design so I decided to doodle some full-wolf style designs with the patterning of real wolves, since. Y’know. Kingofthewolvez. Anyway, I would choose a wolf that lives in South Africa, but fun fact! There are very few to no wolves native to the southern hemisphere. One of the only ones that are are the Maned Wolves, which are actually closer related to foxes. So, I chose some that I think just have Ren vibes, Mongolian, Red, Vancouver Island, and Iberian wolves! Not sure which one I like best.
[ID: Four images of a drawing of Rendog from Hermitcraft.  1: A drawing of Ren is in the center, he is an anthropomorphic wolf who wears blue sunglasses, a red collared shirt with suspenders, and jeans and has a ponytail. Above him, text reads “Mongolian” and three images of Mongolian Wolves surround him. Ren has a similar pattern to the wolves with a reddish body and ears, brown upper face, and white mouth. His tail is the same reddish hue with a brown and black tip. Notes around him read, “Beautiful eyes, but I guess I don’t show his (frowning face)”, by the ears of an image, “v round”, by the muzzle of the same image, “round and wide! V Ren vibe”. Finally, on the bottom right text reads, “Wide ranges of habitats in Asia”, “Large population”, and “Only predator is the Siberian Tiger (shocked face)”. 2: The same drawing of Ren but with the fur pattern changed. Above him, text reads “Red” and three images of Red Wolves surround him. Ren has a similar pattern to the wolves with a light red body and darker ears, brown upper face, and white mouth and chest with black streaks coming from his eye-area. His tail is light red with a brown underside. On the bottom right text reads, “V small, though not the smallest wolf (mexican grey is (smiley face))”, “Thought to be part coyote”, and “Unique howl”. 3: The same drawing of Ren but with the fur pattern changed. Above him, text reads “Vancouver/Crassadon/Seawolf” and three images of Vancouver Island Wolves, also known as Seawolves, surround him. Ren has a similar pattern to the wolves with a dark grey body, grey mouth and chest, red ears and muzzle, and light beige eyebrows and top of his head, which travels back to his ponytail. His tail is striped with grey, beige, and dark grey. On the bottom right text reads, “Have incredibly varied fur but I like this kind (smiley face)”, “Live exclusively on Vancouver Island, B.C. and eat seafood and swim”, and “Related to the first migration of Eastern Asian wolves”. 4: The same drawing of Ren but with the fur pattern changed. Above him, text reads “Iberian Wolf” and three images of Iberian Wolves surround him. Ren has a similar pattern to the wolves with a beige body, dark grey head, red ears, eyebrows, and top of the muzzle. His mouth is a lighter beige which goes to his middle chest and there are beige streaks on his cheeks. His dark grey with a beige underside. On the bottom right text reads, “Largest population of wild canines in West Europe”, “One of the only species legally allowed to be hunted (in Spain)”, “Notable light stroke on the cheek”. End ID]

akai shuichi headcanons
shuichi wears a beanie all the time because he's self conscious about hir hairline .... and I mean who can blame him? id be too
shuichi saw gin when he was visiting Japan in the 10 years ago flashback and was like ooh long hair is cool AND it'll piss ka-san off flash forward 5 years later when shuichi infiltrates the BO and is like fUck cool long hair dude is a psycho
shuichi cut his hair off when he heard akemi was killed by gin he kinda went into the whole mental breakdown mode and was like fuck this shit because he started growing his hair out cuz of gin and also akemi really liked his long hair
shuichi used to be a band kid when he lived in England and wanted to pursue a career in music (much to the chagrin of Mary) but after tsutomu disappeared he was like fuck that and stopped playing until he entered the BO
shuichi has a really bad memory about things that dont have to do anything with his job kinda like BBC's Sherlock but not as bad
shuichi used to find dead bodies when he was a kid just like shinichi but it wasn't as often maybe like a dead body once a year or something
shuichi named himself dai because that's what Mary actually wanted to name him when she was giving birth she was screaming die die die and tsutomu wasn't there yet so she was like aight die sounds like the japanese name dai the only reason shuichi wasn't named that was that tsutomu burst in and was like FUCK NO
shuichi was picked on when training for the FBI since compared to 6 foot jock white men shuichi was a 5 foot 7 asian with long hair and dressed like a teenage girl who frequented Starbucks in the toxic environment of the FBI for anyone who doesnt fit the mold shuichi had it cut out for him
shuichi showed signs of multiple mental illnesses but they were all difficult to pin down so he was never diagnosed with anything since he refused to talk at the FBI mandated therapy sessions
shuichi's type is someone who is kind but could wield a gun
he used to dislike kids but being around them as okiya has made SOME kids special in his heart
before tsutomu's disspeareance he taught shuichi how to hunt with a shotgun
shuichi lived off of sports drinks and bars whenever he was single since he couldn't rely on take out due to it being unhealthy which wouldn't help his FBI styled life
shuichi taught akemi simple self defense techniques but refuses to teach her how to shoot a gun saying he didn't want her hands to get dirty
shuichi and shukichi blackmail each other for favors by using the "ill tell ka-san you did that one thing that you blamed dad for when we were kids if u dont help me out"
scotch once told him that bourbon's type was a white milf (in reference to Elena who was white and was a mother) so shuichi was scared as fuck when rei met Mary's adult self for the first time
shuichi hates being compared to his mother but the truth is they're the most similar and they both started mimicking tsutomu after his disappearance
the only thing shuichi knew how to cook before meeting yukiko was plain white rice as that was the only thing tsutomu was able to teach him
shuichi mimics an American accent while talking in America or talking in English unless he's talking to his family or he's mentally shook up and his British accent slips out
he thinks in British accented English as well (idc if the animanga shows him thinking in japanese it makes no sense that western raised people like Jodie and camel think in japanese) but he does use some japanese like ka-san and when he's trying to get deep into his okiya persona
he tries very hard to keep the polite speech patterns of okiya Subaru since as akai shuichi he's very .. rude
shuichi's sniper skills were so good the fbi was willing to overlook his disrespect of authority and his tendency to do everything by himself without consulting everyone
shuichi slips into a British accent around James if he's feeling really comfortable
he felt bad about using shiho since she was only a year older than masumi and she hadn't done anything wrong so he vowed to get her and akemi out of the BO
he had a plan to get akemi and shiho out by convincing the higher ups to grant them immunity if they testified but akemi's death derailed the entire thing
he hates to admit it but his family is the most important thing to him he may not contact them that often but he's going to such lengths to bring his father back because he cares for his family so much
shuichi didnt really know what he wanted to do with his life once he took down his father's pursuers but after akemi and scotch he decided that if he solved his father's disappearance first he'd hunt down the BO next tho once learning that Haneda Koji’s death had something to do with the BO he's back at the thing where he doesn't know what to do with his life without revenge
he promised shukichi that he'd be the one to solve shukichi's death if what happened to Haneda kohji also happens to shukichi
he isn't a fan of dates in amusement parks but if it makes his partner happy and smile he'll have fun
dating Jodie was a quiet thing most likely from an attachment maybe due to a bad case or a loss of a mutual friend depending on the agency they might have been legally allowed to date each other but it is usually looked down upon I dont think they went out together often probably spending time together at home ... doing stuff
he identifies as bisexual it was normal to him in childhood since both Mary and tsutomu talked about their past relationships to their children he never told anyone due to the fact it would affect his FBI status since it was illegal in America shukichi and Mary know he's bi but shuichi has no idea Mary knows
akemi and shuichi would take strolls in parks go shopping and go to cafes
he's very self conscious about his height and whenever he goes to Japan it makes him feel good about himself since he's relatively tall there
Mary was the one who drilled japanese into his head not tsutomu
the last time shuichi talked to Mary was when he called her up to tell her to take masumi and leave Japan for Britain after masumi cornered him and scotch him and Mary had a whole argument and after that they stopped talking to each other, not that they talked to each other much in the first place
shuichi learned jee kun do by watching training videos from vhs tapes/cds/YouTube depending on when you consider detco taking place I personally believe conan shrinks in 2018 meaning that tsutomu disappeared in 2001 and shuichi used a mixture of tapes and cds to learn
shuichi can read people really well but has a hard time manipulating people by being nice he can use people by being a jackass very well but trying to be a normal person is hard for him
Yukiko and yusaku remind shuichi of his parents before tsutomu disappeared but like more upbeat
shuichi dislikes full body hugs
akemi and shiho were both anime and romance drama fans so he knows random things about the shows and uses that info to connect with the DB and especially haibara
he considered himself British first and foremost but when asked about whether he considers himself white or asian he'll always go with asian
he started smoking soon after his father disappeared since his father used to smoke and he needed to cope but didn't wanna fall into drugs like cocaine
smoking is heavily looked down upon in America and is seen as unprofessional which helped shuichi go undercover a bunch due to him being a heavy smoker
akemi would make him stop smoking around her and shiho saying that second hand smoking was dangerous and that shuichi who was smoking constantly was going to get lung cancer but he would tell her that he just couldn't stop smoking he did stop smoking around shiho and akemi tho going outside to do it instead
as okiya it makes him go wild because he desperately needs to smoke to cope but okiya cant smoke it doesnt fit his image so he smokes a shit ton at night during his nightly drives
shuichi forced himself not to smoke during his time visiting Japan when he met masumi because he knew Mary would get even more upset with him
shuichi was terrible driving American styled cars and he got so upset that he perfected his drive-in techiuque over the years just to spite the instructor that said he was barely passing
he likes to go on late night drives and speed on the high way because he's a thrill seeking idiot
he has no social media but he created on as okiya Subaru to keep an eye on haibara's higo stan account
he takes offense to the idea that he's stalking haibara he's just p r o t e c t i n g her
he wants shiho to be happy more than anything so he's an avid coai shipper and is exhausted in Conan's obliviousness
shuichi didnt tell shukichi he wasn't actually dead shukichi just walked up to okiya Subaru one day and was like shuuichi-ni-san right? shuichi has long stopped questioning shukichi's weird ways of knowing shit he shouldn't know
shuichi is a sherlockian but he's not like shinichi or hakuba in that he does not hate BBC's Sherlock and actually enjoys it a bit
one upside to shuichi living in America is that he gets to hoard guns because he's obsessed with them he thinks they're really cool it's like conan with Sherlock he starts yapping his mouth of about them
bourbon once dangled a gun on in front of a sleeping shuichi cuz he didnt believe scotch when he said that rye was obsessed with guns and started saying incorrect shit about the type of gun he was holding and shuichi just shot up and started berating him
shuichi hates that chianti is a killer because she's the only person who's as much as a gun fanatic as he is
he tends to steal Jodie's car a lot
he likes fucking with peoples heads it's very fun to him to watch them get all worked up
shuichi hasn't mourned his father yet because he doesnt believe his father’s dead
deep down he blames his father for his mother going slightly bonkers
he didnt want masumi to be a detective at first but now hes proud of her
he drinks a lot as okiya Subaru since he cant smoke as much
he's willing to go to hell if it means he can rip gin from limp to limp
he really hates gin yall I dont think I can convey how much he hates gin

IDK who Kyioko is but I saw her and immediately fell in love. I wanna know everything about her now.
First and foremost thank you! 🥲🖤I’ve been tweaking and changing her since I’ve been playing RDR2 to make her more in tune to the game settings. This is a rough put together of some general facts about her.
•Kyioko is 26 at the time of RDR2, she came across the gang very early on after traveling through the grizzlies. In my personal rendition on the story I wanted her first interaction to be with Sadie, I didn’t want to make her this over powered being. She quietly picked off the o’driscols one by one in the span of one night and set boobie traps to ambush each one, and whichever ones where left she took them head on. It was difficult and she ended up taking 2 bullets to her shoulder blade and stomach. She managed to make her way into Sadie’s home and free her from the cellar. Arthur Dutch and Micah show up right before she gets back from forging food for her and Sadie. At first she was extremely hostile and was a trigger away from killing them and running with Sadie but Sadie vouched for them and she cautiously followed them to colter.
Tumblr media
•She’s about 5’6 with a medium/large body type. The best way I can describe her is like when plus’s sized women power lift, she’s very strong and holds her feminine features well. She does like doing manual work, it makes her feel as if she is valued and contributing to the gang. She loves to hunt and is adamant about using every part of the animal necessary, she’ll dry and use parts of the animal hide as wrapping for food and gifts. She can easily throw a buck over her shoulder after a hunt.
Tumblr media
•She has long wavy Orange hair, blue eyes and freckles. Her eyes are more angular and she has fair skin, her mother was Of I know European origin, and her father was Japanese(Ainu and ryukyuan). She looks neither Asian or European. Kyioko Normally has her hair down, free in the wind. She likes to wear high waisted jeans with a white button up blouse. She has these signature brown boots with red and gold embroidery, her chest holster also has similar embroidery on it. Charles gifted her a raven feather when they first became friends and she wears it on her hat, she also adorns her outfits with many small trinkets that include amber gems and animal bones. She loved the style of the Wild West, her body perfectly compliments the outfits she wears. One of her biggest pet peeves is that tailors don’t normally make working clothes in her size, she has to buy male clothes and tailor them herself. She will not wear skirts or dresses.
Tumblr media
•Kyioko was forced from her home and was taken by the government when she was found as a orphan abandoned in the midst of civil unrest. Trained to be a stealth operative, she has a lot of hand to hand combat knowledge and is very physically gifted. I kind of wanted her to give off black widow vibes, cold, deadly but has a soft spot for strange things.
•Kyiokos guns of choice are revolvers, semi automatic pistols and double barreled shotgun. She does always prefer the bow and will try to use it any time she can, she also enjoys throwing knives and baseball bats. A unique weapon she has are knife tipped metal gloves and bladed brass knuckles. Kyioko loves to fight, but she always has to watch herself when it comes to it, shel get carried away and kill someone. This worries her a lot, she doesn’t want to kill unnecessarily but sometimes it just overwhelms her. She’s fast on her feet and likes to play mind games with her opponents. When she’s out on a job shel stalk the target, sometimes even scaring them or playing tricks on them. She is commonly underestimated because of her physical traits, while she’s not very fast she is strong and can lift bales of hay over her head with ease.
Tumblr media
•Kiki gets along with almost every one at camp, she is very close to Arthur and Lenny. She’s very much included in all jobs but Susan still makes her do woman’s work here and there. Kiki does not like molly, she thinks molly is stuck up and pretentious, and she feels the same way about Micah. Plus molly called her a racial slur after hearing Micah call her the same thing. Charles nearly killed Micah that day. Molly is protected by Dutch so there’s not much say in that. Kyioko is closest to Sadie, she confides in her for everything and vice versa. They are almost inseparable. The other girls at the camp also like Kyioko, she takes them out to town a lot and helps with chores so Susan doesn’t blow a blood vessel.
•Kyioko has tattoos which is very rare to see in the American time period they are in. She earned her tattoos from helping the other people in her battalion escape, forging and providing food and water for them in their desertion before they made the decision to flee to America. She has a large back tattoo of the Ainu diety Hashinau-uk goddess of the hunt, in some instances her companions mentioned she resembled the ancient being. Her hands where tattooed as well in hajichi, as a child her father used to draw the hajichi patterns on her fists to teach her about their Okinawan heritage and once she escaped as a tribute she got the symbols tattooed on. Lastly she has hikae (traditional Japanese tattoos placed on the shoulders moving onto her chest and biceps) of Raijin and Fujin, Kyioko believed whenever she became upset, excited or experienced a significant flow of emotion it was the gods calling to her. As a tribute she placed them on her chest , that they would protect and guide her through her most difficult times. She has no Eurocentric tattoos.
Tumblr media
•Kyioko started her American immigration in California, from her uncommon physical traits along side her tattoos she was the target of many unwanted attention. After being harassed for weeks she was picked up and taken by a traveling circus, with her strength and image they thought she’d be a perfect fit. After some time she managed to escape along side some of the other captives, along side a peculiar black shire horse. The horse stood at 17 hands and seemed to take a liking to Kyioko, even saving her from the bear attack that caused all of her facial and upper body scars. They where friends and ended up giving her the name nago, short for Harionago which is a Japanese demon woman with long black barbed hair.
Tumblr media
•some fun facts about Kyioko are that she fully denounces her European roots, she’s never known her mother and her father was killed by the Japanese government. Her father focused a lot about independence and stay true to your heritage, they lived off the grid in a secluded sanctuary deep within rural japan. She spent her life learning the ways of her people and taking care of the shrine with her father. I believe during this japan was going through some civil unrest and that’s where I had her father murdered. I still have to work on the time lines. I wanted her to have high functioning autism or ADHD to directly correlate to her feeling that the gods raijin and fujin are inside her when she gets hyper stimulated or experiences high levels of a specific emotion. She would have these tantrums as a child and her father would tel her stories of the mighty weather gods and that her strength is just trapped inside, that she needed a outlet. He even taught her martial arts and self defense so that when he dies she can take over the shrine. Kyioko ends up having a daughter of her own with Charles named Hana, at first she didn’t take very well to the child but with Sadie’s help she learned to love the child as a mother should and taught her the ways of her people as her father taught her. Kyioko takes very kindly to Charles, she looks at him and sees a lot of herself. One of the biggest things she always struggled with was her self image, her physical form. In the game Charles expressed that some people can’t tell if he is black or native and kyioko related to that a lot, she has these “Asian” features, her eyes, her fair skin, but her eyes and her hair she couldn’t attach herself to a particular group of people, she couldn’t find likeness within any group, making her feel extremely alone. With Charles she feels like he truly understands that lonely feeling, the feeling of self uncertainty.

Games With Character Customization Pc
Steam Games With Character Creation
One of the things I love most in a RPG (Role-Playing Game) is the possibility of creating my own character with tons of different options and add-ons. I made a research yesterday and found some interesting PC Games I already knew about, adding them to the titles I have or plan to get with the best Character Customization. I’m going to list them here for you guys also attaching a few videos so that you can see directly how they work and what kind of possibilities they offer.
It’s the main reason I enjoy games like Skyrim and Fallout. But there seem to be so few good (single player) games with decent character creation - and not just picking from a few presets. The character creation in Dragon Age: inquisition was amazing (although I struggled to enjoy the game) as well as Saints Row (which I really enjoyed). Addicting Offline Co-op Games For PC You’ll Want To Play. Dennis Patrick / Features / Best Co-op PC Games, Co-op, Cooperative. Sonic the Hedgehog is a staple video game character. Best MMORPG with Character Creation. Final Fantasy 14 has one of the most complex and sophisticated character editors. In this game, you can change the smallest details using different sliders, pick a unique voice, or add unique tattoos, accessories and facial paint. What Are Best RPGs With Character Creation? Role-playing games let us live out some of our greatest fantasies like slaying dragons, saving the world and owning a house. Whether your main character is dead, alive, or somewhere in between, these games will let you adjust your appearance and abilities to however you see fit. I've always loved games that give you the option to create your character before you start in the world. I enjoy the game even more when it has role playing or social aspects added to it, allowing you interact with NPCs, or other players if the game has a multiplayer feature. Just character creation would interest me enough to check any game out.
Follow me under the cut if you’re curious!
I’ve been introduced to this type of creation with a game I still keep in my heart and consider one of the best of all times; The Sims 2. Seriously, I’ve created so many 3D characters that if I could win an award I’d have 200 on my shelf by now.
With that said, here you are my personal list of PC games with their awesome customization in no particular order:
I tried this game myself (the free beta that is) a few times in the past and I swear the CC included in it is currently one of my favorite. Without the complete pack I probably didn’t have a lot of additional options available in terms of clothes, makeup and hair, but what truly mesmerized me at the time was the shaping tool, not yet common in games when they released EVE. You can grab and drag different parts of the head and body, modeling unique characters every time.
Tumblr media
2. Black Desert Online
This game has been released recently with two different packages and it seems to be quite a popular MMORPG (Massive(ly) Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) in Russia and Korea. I’m not surprised considering the quality this game seems to have and its customization is clearly no less. Just like EVE Online, Black Desert offers a good sculpt instrument to shape faces and bodies as much as you like, plus a beautiful variety of colors and combinations.
UPDATE: The game is also available on Steam!
This patch lets you play Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks with mostly non-touch based controls. The new control bindings are Control Bindings: D-Pad=Run Y+Dpad=Walk B=Wide slash B+Dpad=Long slash Y+B=Spin Attack A=Interact A+Dpad=Roll. Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks D-Pad Patch This patch implements non-touchscreen controls for essential actions in Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks. Legend of zelda spirit tracks xenophobia patched rom.
3. Blade&Soul
This is another Asian MMORPG with the classical ‘Anime’ style, you cannot freely reshape the character’s structure, only pick one of the available presets and play around with the sliders to modify the whole body. Andy mckinney molly hatchet. Still, I honestly like the bright colors, the races/classes and the fact that you can actually recreate other existing characters using additional content (just like this guy did with Cloud from Final Fantasy VII).
4. BLESS Online
Yes, another Asian online title. Hey, it’s not my fault if they look so pretty! Bless is quite recent and not yet released in its final stage, but judging by how the CC works you have as much freedom as in EVE or Black Desert and the same unmistakable Fantasy touch.
5. The Sims 4
Didn’t I mention The Sims 2? Well, looks like the latest title in the series has improved quite a lot in this area. The shaping/sculpting method is here as well, considering that we finally have more possibilities I certainly won’t complain!
Note: In this video I can see the woman has a few mods installed. If you decide to get this game (or even the previous chapters) I definitely suggest you to do the same if you don’t like the default character design.
6. Fallout 4
Another recent (and quite famous) game. Apparently you can only work on the face here, but once again we see the sculpt tool in action. Even if the hair options are a bit limited you can still customize your character and create unique features playing around with your cursor.
7. Dragon Age: Inquisition
Who knows me is well aware of the fact that I am completely OBSESSED with this game, thus I couldn’t really leave it out. The hair options are definitely questionable and just like in Fallout 4 you do not have any body morph nor slider to alter, but as you can see from this video example you are still able to personalize your Inquisitor in a good way, also using real people or other characters as reference. To be honest I like some of the default presets too, if you don’t like spending two hours working on a face (I do that all the time, but I am a basket case so please ignore my madness :P), you can pick those and get a good result nonetheless.
And don’t forget about mods! 😉
8. Skyrim (The Elder Scrolls V)
This one has been around for a very long time and it remains probably the top 1 Fantasy game out there. If you’re not into mods at all and want to keep your game vanilla be sure that the overall quality is not as improved as the current generation, you can see that from the low-res hair and general textures. The reason why I’m including this CC in the list anyway is because even if old, Skyrim looks quite good compared to other games where you only get 3/4 slider options.
9. APB Reloaded
The last game I’d like to mention (and I literally just discovered it) is this not so new title which has a kick-ass Character Creator. Not only it shows some quality graphics there, but the level of customization is unbelievable! You can make hair shorter, beards longer, create beautiful tattoos (and place or rotate them wherever you want!), add patterns to clothes and even get your personal car! 😀

Our intentions are not to harm Adobe software company but to give the possibility to those who can not pay for any piece of software out there. Adobe cs6 master collection activation key wondershare.
There are of course many other games with a Character Creator, but they all seem pretty similar or not good enough to be mentioned in my list.
What do you think about these? Let me know with a comment if you like!
Those late-night multiplayer sessions can be really fun sometimes. Surely, everything is better with friends, they say and you’ll agree with that at some point. However, after a long day of work and studying, I like to relax with offline games. Sometimes, it’s satisfying to let yourself indulge in a great single-player story and forget about any problems bothering you. So, if you are like me, then welcome to the club! Below is my list of 20 best offline games for PC and I hope you’ll enjoy them.
1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
W2k16 pc download. Well, you’ve guessed it! The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt takes first place on the list with its epic setting, characters, gameplay, and those breathtaking visuals! It’s a compelling game that will offer you more than a hundred hours of non-filler gameplay, and there’s always something to explore. The game looks amazing, and the combat system is great. This open-world title is everything you need on your free days! Combine that with the great RPG elements and fun dialogues with NPCs, and you got yourself a pretty good offline game! Go and play it now, it’s a must-play.
2. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
Wolfenstein series has been once again revived with Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. The positive reviews flashed all around the globe, and this game quickly became one of the best shooting games of 2017. B.J Blazkowicz is such a badass protagonist and the characters surrounding the game are interesting. You’ll quickly start to care about each and every one of them, making this game a worthy offline title. Bethesda said that they won’t be focusing on multiplayer, so they can bring an immersive single-player experience. Well, you nailed it, Bethesda; great job!
3. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Bethesda is one of my favorite companies when it comes to gaming, at least they were a few years back. A few years back, this masterpiece called The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released and it took the Earth by storm! This offline open-world title offers hundreds of hours of exploration and you’ll probably never get bored of it! The combat system might be dated, but it’s damn fun to play and explore every corner of the game. After six years since its release, I’m still eager to give Skyrim another go. It’s that great!
4. Fallout 4
Games With Character Customization Pc
Fallout 4 is one of those top offline games that you either like or dislike. It’s a great single-player experience, as you explore a huge world of fictional city Commonwealth. I mean, the story here is scattered here and there, and our protagonist is in search of his abducted son. However, the game often steers away from that and let you have some freedom and exploration. It’s a fantastic reboot of the series, and it’s surely the best game in the franchise. If you are up for that Stalker-ish feeling, then give this a try!
5. Hitman (2016)
Hitman isn’t a strictly offline game, but I included it because it has a great single-player campaign. While the previous entry in the series Hitman: Absolution relied more on linear, claustrophobic, and confined experience, Hitman (2016) went in a different direction. Here, you’ll experience a vast, open-world with lots of stuff to do. The levels are not that numerous, but they are as big as hell! You can complete your missions in various ways and earn certain rewards and points for doing so. Hitman is a challenging stealth experience, but once Agent 47crawls under your skin, there’s no going back!
Steam Games With Character Creation
6. Nioh
Nioh is a less-known offline game released this year, and I feel like this game is very underrated. It’s a child of Dark Souls and Bloodborne series, which can tell you much about this game. It has a single, crushing, and unforgiving difficulty that will leave you begging for mercy. It’s hard, and you’ll need some blazing fast reflexes and huge gaming skills to finish it. There are more than twenty bosses in the game, and every single boss will kick your ass! Don’t expect to finish this game in a few days; you’ll need weeks to finish it and it will be painfully slow as the bosses shame you every little time… you helpless gamer!
7. Nier: Automata
Another underrated game – Nier: Automata. How could the gaming community overlook this game? Are you blind, or what? This game offers thirty hours of a pure, refined, and amazing experience! It’s a hack-and-slash title that mergers several genres with it. The open world in this game is huge, and the post-apocalyptic environment looks depressing and feels like a void. Nier also introduces RPG elements so you can now level yourself up, upgrade weapons, buy stuff, etc. On top of that, there are some 2D sections that feel like a great platformer, and that’ very unique! Nier: Automata is better than most AAA titles and costs double the less of that price, which is one more reason to get it.
8. Dark Souls 3
Dark Souls series got a fantastic reboot with Dark Souls 3. Just if it wasn’t enough for the previous games in the series, and now we got this punishing game. What can I say? Prepare to die a LOT in this game, as it’s created to kill you. I’m not joking, the whole game is against you, and you can’t do anything about that except fight like a lunatic. Even when you die, the enemies around you respawn and you must fight again and again, which is really frustrating. However, if you have the balls to play it, and manage to finish it, then you deserve a medal, Sir!
9. Bioshock Infinite
Bioshock Infinite is the newest installment in the Bioshock series. This cheap game can give you a huge value for your buck, especially when the Holidays come. I mean, for just a couple of bucks, you can get a fantastic FPS game, which campaign isn’t short and definitely isn’t boring! Bioshock Infinite continues its tradition with great shooting mechanics, various powerups, and that fast-paced shooting in a beautiful environment of the game. Get ready to cause mayhem!
10. Alien: Isolation
Alien: Isolation is that PC offline game that will haunt your dreams every time you try to sleep. It’s a horror game in which you try to stay in one piece and escape that damn space station called Sevastopol. Sounds similar? Well, that’s because the game is based on Alien (1979) movie, which was a very disturbing experience at the time. It’s an intense game that makes your palms sweat and your heart beating so fast that you’ll think it’s gonna come out of your chest! Try this horror if you dare, and watch yourself getting swallowed by the Alien, in a single bite!
11. Far Cry Primal
Elephants are cool, but mammoths are so badass! In Far Cry Primal, you can hunt mammoths and even ride them when you get to higher levels! How cool are you from zero to riding a mammoth? This beautiful-looking game is set 10,000 years BC and no, you aren’t going to shoot guns, but bash the hell out of your enemies. The arsenal of weapons might not be that huge, but the combat is great and requires more thinking, as the enemies are sometimes overwhelming and can easily kill you. If you have the luck to tame a sabertooth tiger, you may survive in this harsh world!
12. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
There is something special about that claustrophobic feeling, especially when it comes to horror games that you can play without internet. That sense of dread and despair when you don’t have much space to move is priceless. Don’t think of me as a psycho, but I LOVE the horror genre! RE7: Biohazard is a game that caught my attention as soon as it was released. This bad boy will provide you with a horrific experience that will leave you scared to death! As the game plays from the first-person perspective, it’s much easier to get yourself immersed, but also scared.
13. Outlast 2
Outlast 2 is yet another offline horror experience, where the developers decided to leave your powerless. There aren’t weapons for you to use, and surely no means to defend yourself. So, what are you left with? Well, a camera and a journal should do the trick! The game does a damn fine job of melding the horror and the dread with stealth and great storytelling. In the end, you may feel a little let down by the ending, but I know you’ll enjoy it until the very end.
14. Dead Space 3
Tumblr media
Cat et 2015a factory password generator. While the past games in the series focused more on that horror experience, Dead Space 3 is more of an action-horror game. Sure, there are Necromorphs and they are vicious and all, but the action part is more prominent. Needless to say that Dead Space 3 is an amazing game and I’m very sad that Visceral Games is closed by EA in October. This survival horror game is hugely underrated, but it’s awesome and I recommend you to play it. It’s just a couple of bucks for this experience, don’t be a niggard!
15. Portal 2
There’s something awesome when it comes to Source Engine. The games made with this engine looks amazing, yet they run smoothly. How did Valve manage to do that? Well, as I am not a game developer, don’t ask me! But ask me about Portal 2, which is Valve’s magnum opus, and a compelling puzzle game. The whole point of the game is to use a Portal gun in order to create portals and pass through them. However, the game isn’t that simple and requires some brain skill to finish it. Grab your Portal Gun, and let’s go on a venture!
16. Limbo
This 2D game is straight-up terrifying, dark, and misanthropic from the start to finish! In Limbo, you are a little boy that needs to survive this colorless world of the game as he overcomes various obstacles and escape scary monsters. I like the game’s artwork and the atmosphere is simply top-notch here if you like the dark ambient in the games. It’s a must-play for every offline Indie games lover!
17. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
Speaking of the atmosphere, very few great offline games can replicate the atmosphere as it is in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. That post-apocalyptic atmosphere of Pripyat looks great, and the game isn’t colorful, which is the whole point. Everything has that grey-ish tint, as this town suffered greatly when the Nuclear Powerplant in that area exploded. It’s based on a real-life event that occurred around 1989, which gives the game a certain weight and meaning.
18. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
With MGSV: The Phantom Pain, Hideo Kojima proved that he still has what it takes to create such immersive PC games without internet. This stealth game is challenging and full of stuff to do, due to its open-world nature. The characters are badass and the game feels somewhat dark, with a very serious tone. Oh, and not to forget that plot twist at the end that’s worth those thirty hours I’ve spent on this game!
19. SOMA
Horror fans will be pleased that I mentioned another horror title here. SOMA is an absolutely spooky and nerve-wracking experience! It creates that atmosphere that’s very unique, and with the story being told in the shape of various documents scattered through the game, it’s even more badass! You are all alone here and you’ll fight for your life, only to find out that you aren’t actually alive! A truly wonderful offline game for Windows.
20. Superhot
Superhot is a cartoonish-looking offline game that revolves around time. To make it simple, the time in the game moves when you move, so if you are standing still, nothing will happen. Vice Versa, if you are moving and shooting, then the enemies will do the same. It’s a lot of fun, but a lot of challenges too. I played it with some of my favorite death metal albums, just to ensure that I’m hardcore enough to beat it!
Tumblr media
As we are approaching near the end of our journey through the offline PC games, I’m here to ask you a question. What is your favorite offline game for PC? I tried my best to count some of my favorite offline games, and although I’m maybe going to start a war for not including some of the games, I stand behind my words. Oh, and why don’t you tell me what game did I miss? Do you have any favorites besides these 20 games? Please, let me know, and don’t forget to do some gaming today!

31 Horror Movies for the Halloween Season
Well.. It’s a little bit over 31 bc of sequels and such but it’s a fun title for horror recs! For the record these are in no particular order in like what’s the best or anything! It’s just a list of horror movie recommendations that might get you in the Halloween mood. I tried not to have huge well-known movies on here, but I did throw in a few just because I love them and couldn’t resist. I did try to add small descriptions for each one, but given there’s like 31 movies on here, they are rather short. Either way, hopefully you’ll find one or a couple movies here that you’re interested in!
1. Trick ‘r Treat
A rather well-known one but is it really a list without Trick ‘r Treat? A fun horror anthology with four different stories that connect to each other in some way - including the fact they all take place on Halloween night! A fun one to actually watch on Halloween.
2. Hell House LLC
For the record there are two sequels (Hell House LLC 2: The Abaddon Hotel & Hell House LLC 3: Lake of Fire), however I have not seen either of them so can’t include them here, but if you want to watch them I’d say go check them out! Basically it’s a documentary style type film that follows what happened up to the days a horrible tragedy took place on the opening night of a haunted house attraction. No one knows exactly what actually went down, so the reason for the documentary is to attempt to figure out what truly happened that night.
3. Repo! The Genetic Opera
A horror musical! It’s set in a future where organ failure is extremely common so naturally a huge company comes along and is like “Okay you can have an organ transplant, but you have a huge payment plan and if you can’t pay then we’re just gonna kill you and take your organs back.” Also it has so many good songs would highly recommend if you haven’t seen it (and you can stomach a bit of gore).
4. The Devil’s Carnival & Alleluia! The Devil’s Carnival
Another horror musical! And done by the same people who did Repo! For the record The Devil’s Carnival is only about an hour long but the sequel is a full length movie! A short quick explanation is that it’s set in Hell (unsurprisingly) and follows the people who end up there - also during this the Devil is planning an attack - but I’ll let you find out the rest if you haven’t seen it yet.
5. Ju-On and/or The Grudge (Any Film)
It’s my favorite horror franchise, so of course Ju-On was gonna end up on here! Whether it be the original Japanese films or the American remakes, it follows vengeful spirits who were murdered in their home and are taking revenge on anyone who enters.
6. Sinister & Sinister 2
Okay I know Sinister 2 is one not very well liked, but since I have seen it I decided I might as well include it (though I don’t really remember my thoughts on it it’s been a while). Video tapes that contain children murdering their families and a mysterious being that may be at the center of it is the basic plot for these movies.
7. Tragedy Girls
Basically you got two best friends who capture a serial killer because they themselves want to become serial killers! Don’t wanna say too much outside of that, as that is the basic plot concept honestly, but it’s a really fun movie.
8. The Final Girls
A girl dealing with the anniversary of her mother’s death ends up, with a small group of others, stuck in a horror movie that her mother actually starred in. Okay as much fun as this one is it does pull on the heart strings a bit I gotta admit. But it’s truly great and naturally has a feel of an older slasher movie.
9. You Might be the Killer
Another one that’s got that older slasher movie vibe as it takes place at a camp. One where the counselors are getting picked off one by one by a masked killer. Comes in our protagonist, who is calling his friend, who isn’t at the camp and also is a huge horror enthusiast, for help to figure out what to do and maybe figure out what’s going on/who the killer is.
10. Danur (aka Danur: I Can See Ghosts)
A young girl who just wants friends finds them in the form of three potentially paranormal ones. Though it seemingly being just a childhood thing, it actually becomes of great importance as she gets older. This movie also has a sequel, Danur 2: Maddah.
11. Fright Night
For the record I am talking about the remake here, as I have not seen the original, but if you would prefer to watch that one - or maybe even both - go for it! Basically, teen starts to believe his new neighbor is a vampire after more and more people go missing. Also David Tennant is there if you go with the remake so that’s always fun!
12. Tales of Halloween
Admittedly I wasn’t too into this film, but I know a lot of people like it! Not too much to say, it’s a horror anthology with 10 different segments that take place on Halloween! So you’re bound to find something you enjoy within it, whether it be the paranormal, witches, or even just dumb fun horror comedy antics.
13. The Tag-Along
Based on an urban legend from Taiwan, “The Little Girl in Red”, it focuses on a man and his girlfriend. Of which the man’s grandmother suddenly goes missing one day - eventually leading to him discovering clues of a potential unknown little girl who had began following his grandmother around. There are two sequels to this movie as well that I have not seen yet, that being The Tag-Along 2 & The Tag-Along: The Devil Fish.
14. Three... Extremes
Another anthology film that contains three separate stories, each one coming from a different East Asian country. It also has a prequel, Three (or 3... Extremes II in the U.S.), and a full length film made from one of the stories within it, Dumplings.
15. The Hallow
Really feel like the point of this movie is like ‘Don’t fuck with the woods’. As it basically focuses on a couple and their baby, who seems to be the target for the odd things happening to them that seems rather connected to the woods nearby.
16. The Devil’s Candy
A man moves with his family into a new home, and slowly begins to feel as though something is possessing him in a sense. That and also the potential fact his family is being targeted by the previous resident of the home.
17. Wake Wood
Apparently FMA did not teach us not to fuck with the dead enough, so here’s a movie about a grieving couple that lost their daughter who move into a town that holds the power to bring someone back from the dead for only 3 days. Unfortunately like FMA, things go horribly wrong (just not... in the same way as FMA).
18. The Cabin in the Woods
College students go out to a cabin in the woods in which things quickly take a turn for the worst. Seems simple enough, but it’s so much more complicated than that - however I won’t be sharing any of those details for those who haven’t watched it yet.
19. Prevenge
A pregnant woman who’s husband has recently passed away, believes that her unborn child wants her to track down and kill everyone who was involved in the accident. An extremely wild but honestly rather fun time.
20. You’re Next
Home invasion, baby! In which everything goes to hell for a family and their partners when masked killers start trying to kill everyone there. Though things take a turn quick and you start to wonder who is really the ones being hunted down here. (A fairly well known one, but I had to recommend it given one of my favorite characters in horror is in this movie)
21. Kuronezumi (aka Black Rat)
Not too much to say here basic plot wise. Six students receive texts from their dead classmate, they follow as the texts ask and go to the school at night, and then start getting targeted by a killer wearing a rat mask.
22. Lights Out
A family potentially being haunted by a creature that only appears when the lights go out? Plus a whole lot of family drama? Always fun truly! It’s also somewhat based off a viral short film of the same name that the director had made before he got to make it a full length film.
23. Absentia
Absolutely had to put a Mike Flanagan movie on here. One that focuses on a pregnant woman who’s started towards attempting to move on with her life after her husband disappeared seven years ago. However, as she takes a huge step towards doing so, something rather odd happens - which I’ll let you find out for yourself if you choose to watch it.
24. Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Perhaps it’s because it’s the one Halloween movie without Michael Myers, or perhaps it’s because I was blanking out on movies I watched that aren’t extremely well-known, but I felt the need to add this one on here. It focuses on this man who is out to kill children on Halloween by using a line of Halloween masks. So basically another fun one to watch on Halloween!
25. The Barn
Teenagers go to a barn where there’s a supposed curse that can awaken Halloween-themed monsters on Halloween night. What could possibly go wrong? Honestly another one that would be a lot of fun to actually watch on Halloween.
26. Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
A really fun documentary type film where it’s set in a world where iconic horror slashers are actually real! And a documentary crew are out to make a movie centered around Leslie Vernon, who wishes to go down in history as another one of the famous slashers. This one is really just *chef’s kiss* to me, very much recommend if you haven’t seen it.
27. Creep & Creep 2
Found footage type films in which we follow people who are hired by this rather concerning man to film him. That’s really all I can say unfortunately without trying to give away too much.
28. What We Do in the Shadows
Another documentary-style type movie! It tends to be more comedic than it is horror, but it follows  a group of vampires that live together! Sort of documenting their lives and how they survive day by day. Honestly it’s so ridiculous and hilarious, and I know many people have seen it by now but I have to recommend it none the less as it’s one of my favorites. Plus, it also has an equally hilarious tv series now that you can also give a watch!
29. The Banana Splits Movie
Who doesn’t want to see the Banana Splits as animatronics that start randomly slaughtering people after the news that their show is going to be cancelled? Honestly it’s really just a fun, ridiculous movie that isn’t meant to be taken seriously. Perhaps something to watch with friends to get in the mood for Halloween.
30. The Last Exorcism
Another one that has a sequel I have not seen: The Last Exorcism Part II. Another documentary style film (Sorry I added so many of these whoops), that follows a reverend who goes around performing fake exorcisms. Things start getting a bit more complicated though when lines start beginning to blur between what is real and what is fake while doing his current “exorcism” he was asked to perform.
31. V/H/S & V/H/S 2
There is also a third film, V/H/S: Viral, however I have not seen that one. Not too much to say here, they’re basically just an anthology of short horror films that are supposedly being shown from VHS tapes.

Silent, fast, and lethal Pt.1
Daryl Dixon x Reader
*Summary:  The reader is very good at sneaking, moving fast and silent, lethal with her knives. She lost her camp and is wanfering the woods when she finds Maggie and Glenn being attacked by some men and she helps them, sneaking not only on the men but also on Daryl, leaving everyone impressed with her skills, and she’s taken in into the prison. Badass but rather insecure reader and shy, confused Daryl.
Slow-burn, hurt/comfort, fluff, angst, smoking, language and violence twd style. (Request turned mini-series of eight chapters)
4752 words
Chapters: 1/8
Link to masterlist with more  stories in the info of this blog.
This story will be updated on Monday and Thursday.
Welcome to my new mini-series! I hope you’ll enjoy it! Let me know your thoughts!
…………………………………………………………
You joisted awake, heart beating hard, sitting up and grabbing your knife, looking around wildly. You were sure you had heard a walker getting trapped on the wire around your little camp, making the top cans you had attached to it rattle. You thought you’d even heard its growls. But it’d only been a nightmare. With a sigh, you got up and began to get your scarce things back into your backpack and to untie the wire to take it with you.
You didn’t stay for more than a day at the same place since you lost your camp three days ago, or maybe four. You were starting to lose the track of time. That had been your second camp. The first was a military one, at the beginning of everything, that was overrun by walkers. The people that had survived had taken you with them and after a couple of months on the run, setting camps here and there, you all found a nice spot deep in the woods to set a camp. The area was secluded and not many walkers stumbled into it, there was a stream close and rabbits were abundant. Life was good. Now you knew good things never lasted in this world. Your people were gone, and your nice camp was gone too.
A group of walkers had seemed to come out of nowhere, the bigger group you’d ever seen. You all had fought hard, had fought your best, but it was for nothing. They were too many, and they had overpowered you. You’d taken a look at your fallen friends and at the monsters, and you’d run away from there.
So there you were now, still in the woods, but you knew you couldn’t keep going like that. You were in badly need of supplies and shelter, but you didn’t know where to find them. And if you were honest, you weren’t sure you knew how to leave the woods. You didn’t have a map or a compass, and you were feeling rather lost.
Trying not to despair, you went to check the trap you had settled, finding it had caught a rabbit. You gave thanks to the friend who had taught you to do that, dead now, you would be starving by now if she hadn’t. You hang the rabbit to your belt for later and began walking, the same direction you’d been following for the last couple of days.
You’d been walking for a while through the woods when you heard some voices and noise coming from ahead. You didn’t know what to do, but finally you decided to check it. It could be dangerous, but it could be your chance at finding shelter too. You crouched down and approached, hiding into some bushes, moving silently, in case the people weren’t friendly.
You were pretty good at hiding and sneaking around, at moving without making noise or being noticed, you’d always been. You started doing it as a game when you were a little girl, playing hide and seek, or catch with your friends and also to spy on your parents, soon you were good at moving pretty quickly too. In your teens, it had helped you to sneak in and out of the house without your parents noticing it. As an adult, it came in handy when you began working as a private detective…fancy title to say that you followed and sneaked on people, taking compromising pictures of them for their scorned partners. It wasn’t glamorous, but it paid rent.
Little did you know back then that now it’d be a life savior skill.
From your hiding spot, you saw a young asian man and a young woman with big green eyes on their knees, gagged and with their hands tied to their back. Two men were pointing their guns at them while others went through what you guessed were their bags, full of supplies.
You knew that kind of men. Raiders, murderers, you had encountered people like that before, some even had tried to steal from your people, a couple of times men like that had shown up in your camp, threatening you, but they had never come out of it unharmed or even alive. You’d never been the one to stop them, though, you’d never faced men, only walkers, but you needed to help that couple before the men killed them. You weren’t sure how to do it, though, you only had your knives and they had guns. They’d shoot you on sight.
You thought quick, took a deep breath, and jumped into action. You took a stone and threw it away, making sure to stay hidden. The men looked towards where it had landed, startled by the noise and the rustle of the bushes. When they looked away again, you threw another stone to the same place. The men looked towards the bushes again and that time you saw them talking between them before one of them went to check.
You moved silently, still hidden, until you got behind the man. You only had trained to do this with walkers, but you hoped it’d work the same with men. You made sure the other men weren’t looking and you acted quick, sinking your knife into the man's throat while placing your other hand over his mouth to keep him silent. You held him and made his body lie silently onto the ground, hidden by the bushes, and you moved away again just in time, the other two men looking around and noticing their friend missing.
They moved towards where the other man had disappeared and you waited for your moment. You moved around them, hidden and silent, until you were behind them without them noticing you. Once again you sank one of your knives into the throat of the closer one. The other turned to you and went to aim his gun, but you were fast, thanks to months of training, and you stabbed him and cut his throat before he could shot you.
You looked at the bodies. It was the first time you killed people, and you tried not to overthink it. You thought you should be feeling something, though, but you didn’t. Turning around, you went to the tied up couple, who were looking at you with wide, shocked eyes. “I’m going to help you”, you told them, but before you could go to them you hear someone else coming. Moving fast, you hid again behind a tree just in time to see a dangerous looking man approaching, a crossbow aimed in front of him, wild long hair falling over his eyes as he rushed towards the tied couple.
You thought he was one of the men who was going to kill the couple and so you left your hiding spot quickly but silently, making sure to get behind his back, and raised your knife.
The couple began shaking their heads and making noises that sounded like ‘noes’ through their gags, and so you stopped before stabbing him. Maybe this man wasn’t one of the bad guys? That made the man turn around and he seemed startled to find you there. He was fast too, dropping his crossbow and grabbing your wrist, trying to make you lower your knife. Shit, maybe you should have stabbed him. You lifted your free hand to try to punch him but he grabbed your arm and you only managed to scratch his face, his grip on you strong. He shoved you onto the floor, you landing on your knees, and he grabbed his crossbow before you could react.
“Don’t move!” He shouted to you, moving to free the couple but without stopping aiming at you.
“She helped us!” The woman said as soon as she was ungagged, the man next to her nodding. “Killed the men who got us.”
The man with the wild hair looked from the corpses of the men to you, lowering his crossbow. The woman reached her hand to you and reluctantly you took it, getting up.
“Thank you for saving us.” She told you, giving you a smile, noticing that you were nervous. “I’m Maggie, and this is Glenn, that’s Daryl. We were out scavenging and Daryl’d gone hunting when those men ambushed us.” You just nodded, silent, trying to decide if they were good people or not.
“Are you alone?” Glenn asked you softly and you nodded. “You don’t have a camp or anything?”
“My camp was overrun a couple of days ago…don't think anyone else made it…” You shrugged, feeling a lump in your throat as you were forced to remember it. They looked at each other, seeming to be able to communicate without words, before looking back at you.
“How many walkers have you killed?” Daryl asked you, out of the blue.
“Quite a few, I don’t know, why you care?” You looked at him weirdly.
“And how many people?” Glenn asked, and you guessed if it was a code or something. You were too tired to care.
“Those three.” You nodded to the dead men.
“Why?” It was Daryl again, and you rolled your eyes.
“Wasn’t evident? To help your friends.” You shrugged.
They looked at each other, seeming to have another of those silent conversations, and then Maggie nodded.
“We have a place,” Glenn began to explain. “A prison, but it’s a home. We live in there, it’s safe, it’s good. We’re a big group, we take in people who need it. You could come and join us, if you want.”
You probably should have thought it for longer than you did, you didn’t know those people and you could be running right into a trap, but you were painfully aware of how much you needed their help. Besides, they didn’t seem that bad. You nodded and it was settled, they began walking you to their place.
On the way there, Maggie told you a bit more about their community and the prison, but you were impressed anyway when you saw it, with the tall fences protecting it, the sturdy walls, the gardens and amount of people that you could see through the fences. It seemed impossible that a place like that could exist. Glenn noticed your wide, surprised eyes and he smiled, patting your back as they walked you into the prison.
You had to wait in an empty cellblock, in what they called a room but was pretty much a cell, while they talked to Rick, their leader. You’d caught a glimpse of him, he seemed serious and a bit dangerous, but not like a bad guy. You hoped. You took a deep breath, trying to stay calm while you waited.
Maggie came back alone, though you noticed Daryl following her not far. She gave you a smile and you relaxed a bit. “Rick said you can stay. We told him you saved us, that you’re a good one,” she said and you nodded, grateful. “We also told him how you sneaked on those men and on Daryl even, you’re skilled, you’ll be a big help on runs.”
“Thanks.” You murmured, blushing a bit.
“Let’s get you settled, okay?” Maggie patted your shoulder reassuringly. “I’ll show you around, get you some things.”
You thanked her again, you had lost most of your stuff when you ran away from your camp. You remembered the rabbit you had hanging from your belt and you handed it awkwardly to Maggie. At least you got something for those people who were taking you in.
“We’ll use it for tonight’s stew.” Maggie smiled kindly, taking the rabbit. She nodded at Daryl to get closer, noticing he was around, and gave him the rabbit, which he tied to the string he carried around his shoulder and in which he’d tied a few squirrels. He looked at you, but didn’t say anything and he walked away.
Maggie showed you around, and you were amazed at everything they had in that place, the food they grew, their running water. Incredible. You’d gotten pretty lucky. He introduced you to some people as you walked, and it was a bit overwhelming but they were all kind and nice to you. Finally, Maggie walked you to a cell which was to become your very own room. You couldn’t believe it.
“Thank you, really.” You told Maggie as you flopped down onto the bed, bouncing on it. When was the last time you’d sleep on a mattress? Before the apocalypse for sure.
“Do you need anything else?” She asked you kindly, and you shook your head, Maggie had already done enough. “Alright, I’ll leave you to rest for a bit, you can wash if you want, and feel free to use those clothes.” She pointed at the pile that someone had left you over a small bedside table.
“Thanks,” You said, genuinely and still a bit overwhelmed.
“See you for dinner in a couple of hours.” Maggie squeezed your shoulder softly and left you to get used to your new room and the place.
You were going through the clothes you’d been given when you heard a knock on the bars of the cell. You looked up and found Rick standing at the door. You’d been surprised at the leader of this place not talking to you personally, but you guessed he’d trusted Maggie, Glenn, and Daryl, and he’d wanted to give you time to settle down. It seemed it was time to speak now.
Your talk with Rick wasn’t long. He was inquisitive, but not suspicious, firm but also kind. After a few questions, some talk about each other, he welcomed you in, and also invited you to join a group that was going on a run in a couple of days.
Once it was time for dinner, you walked to the area where people were gathering and joined the queue. Two people were serving bowls of stew, and yours was handed by a woman with short, gray hair.
“Hi, you’re the new one, right? I’m Carol.” She greeted as she served the stew.
“Yeah, I’m Y/N, nice to meet you. Thanks for the stew.”
“Thanks for the rabbit, we used for the stew along with some Daryl squirrels.” She told you, and you nodded before leaving so the next person could have his stew.
You looked around at the long tables, people already sitting down. You saw Daryl was eating too, though not there but sat down on the stairs that led to another cellblock, and you thought he was looking at you. You waved at him shyly and he gave you a nod, dropping his gaze to the ground.
Maggie waved at you, signaling you to join her and pointing at an empty seat next to her, Glenn at her other side. Once you sat down she introduced you to his family, his father Hershel and her little sister Beth. They were all nice and kind, taking you in without any fuss, and you felt more than welcomed.
You ended up eating two bowls of stew after they told you it was okay, you hadn’t realized you had been starving until then. After dinner, you helped clean up everything and then you went back to your new room. You light up some candles to illuminate it and sat down on the bed, staring at the wall. You felt…you felt weird. This place was beyond nice, the people were nice, but it felt a bit surreal. And you still couldn’t believe you’d lost your people. That couple of days on the run, concentrated only on surviving, hadn’t allowed you to come to terms with it, and the reality of it all hit you now.
You hugged your knees to your chest, sniffing a bit. You were grateful for this place, you had gotten lucky. You just wished your people had gotten lucky like that too. None of you had ever imagined that such a big herd of walkers could show up out of the blue in your camp. But judging by the walkers you had seen at the outside of the prison fences, they seemed to be drawn to groups of people, and they were more and more each passing day.
You heard a noise close and you looked up, startled, before reminding yourself that you were safe behind fences and walls. It was Daryl, looking at you from outside the cell, and he muttered a sorry and turned around.
“No, wait.” You called after him, rubbing your eyes quick. “Come in.” Daryl seemed hesitant, but finally he walked into your cell, looking at the ground before looking up at you, and then back at the ground. You were waiting for him to say anything, but he didn’t. “You wanted something?” You ventured.
Daryl looked at you, seeming to think it for a couple of seconds before pointing at your arms. “I’m sorry about that.”
You didn’t know what he was talking about, but when you looked at your arms, you noticed some bruises had formed from when’d had grabbed you hard. “Oh…it’s nothing. You thought I was one of the bad guys who was going to kill your friends.” You shrugged, giving Daryl a weak smile, he shouldn’t feel guilty about it. He still seemed serious, chewing on his thumbnail as he looked at your fresh bruises. “Hey, I almost stabbed you after all.” You half-joked.
“Yeah. You’re good, almost got me.” Daryl nodded, and you thought he kind of looked impressed, making you blush. “I didn’t notice you.”
“I’m sorry about that too.” You pointed at the scratches you’d left on his cheek.
“Ain’t nothing. You thought I was going to kill Glenn and Maggie.”
“Yeah…”
For a short moment, none of you said anything, Daryl looking at the floor awkwardly, and you looking at him with curiosity. You hadn’t thought he’d go to apologize, you hadn’t expected it or needed it. He’d seemed dangerous to you at first, and although you were pretty sure he must be a skilled, lethal survivor, you now thought he seemed kind too,  in his awkward way, and rather shy, something that you hadn’t imagined the first time you saw him. You waited for him to say anything else or leave, silent.
“You hunt?” Daryl finally asked without looking up from the floor, taking you by surprise.
“Uh…no.”
“And the rabbit?” He finally looked at you.
“Oh!” Now you realized why he was asking. “No, I caught it with a trap. You hunt, don’t you?”
“Hmm hmm.” Daryl nodded. “I could show you where you could set a trap, if you want, we got a lot of people to feed now.”
“Okay, thanks.” You nodded, and sighed sadly as you thought about the friend who had taught you that and who you’d seen devoured by walkers. You teared up again and you rubbed your eyes, embarrassed.
“You okay?” Daryl asked you, his tone soft and understanding even though he seemed very awkward.
“Yeah…” You nodded. “Just…my people…the ones I lost. They taught me everything I know. How to set traps, what kind of berries and mushrooms you can eat, how to use the knives, everything I know. Yet they’re dead and I’m alive. It’s stupid.”
You would be dead by now if it weren’t for them, who had taken you with them and turned you into a skilled survivor. First one of them had noticed your skill at moving silently, and she had encouraged you to train with her daily, until you were silent as a shadow so walkers wouldn’t notice you, moving quicker than you had ever done.  Another one had trained you with the knives, which you had never used before, several hours each day, until you became rather good with them. Then you started to train on sneaking on walkers to put them down fast and silently, embedding your knives into their skulls before they even turned to look at you.
Your friends had taught you everything you knew about survival, they had made you what you were now, yet they were gone and you were alive. It didn’t make sense. It wasn’t fair.
Daryl looked at you, seeming like he didn’t know what to say. “I’m sorry about your people.” He muttered looking away from you again. “But you shouldn’t feel guilty about surviving.”
“Yeah…” You gave him a weak and sad but grateful smile, and Daryl reached out to give you the most awkward, soft pat on your shoulder ever, but you knew he was trying to be comforting, and you were grateful.
You looked at him as he left the cell, tugging a piece of fabric that hung over the bars until it covered the door like a curtain, giving you privacy. You changed clothes and got into the bed, wrapping yourself with the blankets and sheet, finding hard to believe that you were lying down on a real bed, pillow and all.
Your mind was still full of memories of your dead friends and images of them being attacked by the walkers, and you were sure you weren’t going to be able to sleep, but you were so exhausted after three days barely sleeping, and you felt so safe now, that as soon as you closed your eyes you fell fast asleep.
Next day you kept getting used to the new place and the new people. You knew it would take you a bit to learn all the names, and even more to get to know all of those people, but all in all, they seemed nice and you knew you had been lucky to find them.
After lunch, Maggie and Glenn told you about the run they had planned for the next day, and to which you had been asked to join, if you wanted to. It was to a supermarket that they pointed to you in a map, and they hoped it hadn’t been raided yet, at least not completely. You’d be going early in the morning so as to be back before the sun started to go down. Besides Maggie and Glenn, Rick and Daryl were going too, and also Sasha, who was now at the watchtower, and Michonne, a woman whom you didn’t know yet because she’d been out and had arrived yesterday,  late at night, when you were already asleep.
Once Maggie and Glenn explained you everything about their runs, how they worked, and everything you might need, they left you alone and you wandered through the prison yard. Everyone seemed to have chores or a job to do, and you wondered what might be your place there from now on.
You stopped when you saw a woman training with a katana a bit ahead of you. You watched her, mesmerized by her movements and her skill, she was graceful yet lethal, and you didn’t think you’d ever seen anything like that before. You couldn’t help but stare. She stopped when she noticed you, smiling and approaching.
“Hey, you must be the new girl, I’m Michonne.” She greeted.
“Hi, I’m Y/N.”
“Nice to meet you finally, Maggie won’t stop talking about you yesterday when I arrived, saying you’re good with knives and that you saved her and Glenn, that you sneaked on Daryl without him noticing you and what not.” Michone laughed softly and you blushed a bright red at her words.
“I’m not half as good as you are with that katana…” You shrugged, self-conscious.
“Being training for a long while now, and I guess you too.” Michonne gave you another easy smile that helped you feel better. “Rick must be really eager to see if what they say is true, though, he hadn’t gone out on a run in a while now.” She chuckled.
“Well…I hope I won’t disappoint…”
“I’m sure you won’t.” She patted your arm. “Want to train with me for a bit?”
“Yeah, yeah, okay.”
Michonne and you ended up training for longer than any of you had planned, her with her katana and you with your knives. It was fun, and she was fun too, and you found yourself having quite a good time. Both of you ended up the training session panting and sweaty, and you still found it hard to believe that they had running water to wash without having to go to the river, almost like a shower. You weren’t going to lie, you loved it.
That night, though, as you tried to sleep, everything came back to you. Your friends. Your camp. The walkers. The three men you had killed. Every time that you closed your eyes, there were they. You turned and tossed, knowing that you needed to rest for tomorrow’s run, you tried to think on anything else, tried keeping your mind blank, but it was for nothing.
With a frustrated sigh, you got up. Throwing a shirt over your tank top, you decided to go for a walk around the yard. It wasn’t usual that you could walk at night on the open air knowing that you were safe, that you hadn’t to worry about walkers. You hadn’t been wandering through the yard for long when you heard a voice calling you.
“Hey”
You looked around in the darkness and you saw someone sat down on one of the tables, smoking, and soon you realized it was Daryl.
“Hey” You approached him.
“You okay?”
“Yeah…” You nodded and sat down at the other end of the table. “You couldn’t sleep either?”
“Ain’t tired,” he shrugged.
“You should rest, we have a run early tomorrow.” You said awkwardly, not sure of how to make conversation.
“You too.”
“Yeah…”
Without looking at you, Daryl reached out to pass you the cigarette. You’d never been one for smoking, at least before the world ended, but you took it anyway, muttering thanks and taking a drag before passing it back to Daryl.
“Can’t stop seeing them, every time I try to sleep. My friends.” You said quietly after a little while of silence. “I wonder if I’ll ever stop thinking about the ones I lost. I feel they’re always in my head.”
“You won’t,” Daryl replied, as quietly as you, reaching out to pass you the cigarette again. “At least I didn’t. But it’ll feel different.”
Of course, he had lost people too. Who hadn’t. You looked at him but his expression was unreadable, face half hidden by the darkness and his long hair. You were curious, but you knew better than to ask him about his losses. Nobody liked to think about that. You didn’t want to remind him, and neither did you want to keep thinking about yours.
“Can’t stop thinking about the men I killed either.” You murmured. “I hadn’t killed anyone before.” At first, you hadn’t felt anything, which had unsettled you a bit, but now the fact that you’d killed people, alive people, weighed on you, especially because of the lack of remorse, you still didn’t feel anything of that. Maybe after putting down so many walkers, now you didn’t care about killing people either, maybe murder was now second nature to you. You didn’t know what to say to that.
“You did what you had to,” Daryl replied.
“Did I?” You thought that trying to talk would have been useless, but maybe you could have done something else. “I could have tried and leave them unconscious or… I don’t know.”
“No. They’d have killed you. Probably Glenn and Maggie too. I know men like that.”
“I guess…I just…I don’t know…I don’t feel anything, no remorse, nothing. Maybe I can kill people like nothing now, maybe that’s just what I am, what I’ve become.”
Daryl looked at you at that, frowning. “Ain’t that, you had to do it, told you.”
You nodded, you weren’t sure if you were convinced, but you appreciated Daryl’s words. You passed him the pretty-much-finished cigarette back. “Have you ever killed someone?” You ventured to ask, wondering if it might be too personal.
“Yeah.”
You bit your lip, unsure about keep pressing it. “What happened?”
Daryl didn’t answer. Instead, she stubbed the butt of the cigarette on the stone table and got up. “We gotta sleep.” You nodded and got up too. Daryl walked you to your cellblock, which you weren’t expecting, as if wanting to make sure you were actually okay, before leaving towards his own.
Back in bed, you kept tossing and turning for a bit, but you felt it was easier to relax and eventually, you fell asleep.

WandaVision: Who is Agent Jimmy Woo?
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This article contains WandaVision spoilers.
Now that WandaVision episode 4 has expanded a bit to show more of what’s going on, it really ties into what made the first phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe work, but in a very surreal way. The first Avengers movie was about the culmination in connections and bringing together the top heroes that existed so far in continuity. Now that we’re four Avengers movies in and we’re taking our first step into the era of Marvel’s Disney+ TV shows, we have such an odd collection of characters from all over the MCU converging.
Really, it’s pretty wild. We have two Avengers who otherwise never had all that screentime. We have a supporting character from Captain Marvel who first appeared as a child now a central character all grown up. We have the comic relief from the first two Thor movies. Then there’s that FBI agent from Ant-Man and the Wasp, whose only role was to be a pestering doofus to the hero.
Yes, Agent James Woo (played by Randall Park), the guy who tried to make sure Scott Lang was making good on his house arrest, is trying to figure out what the hell is going on in Westview, New Jersey. That goofball from Ant-Man and the Wasp is the guy talking over Wanda Maximoff’s radio in episode 2 to try and figure out who is controlling her.
Dorky or not, Jimmy Woo has a long history with Marvel. In fact, he predates all the other characters on this show. He even predates Marvel itself!
He first appeared in Yellow Claw #1 from Atlas Comics, created by Al Feldstein and Joe Maneely, though Jack Kirby pretty much took over as of the second issue. The Yellow Claw was a Fu Manchu-type yellow peril villain and FBI Agent Jimmy Woo was the agent assigned to track him down. With Yellow Claw being one of those awful racist caricatures that the era was known for, Woo was seen as almost revolutionary in comparison. He was Asian, but not a walking joke based on his nationality.
Yellow Claw only lasted a mere four issues, but its status as a comic book footnote would ultimately help out Woo in the long run.
Woo was brought back in the late-60s as an agent of SHIELD. He spent the next many decades being a run-of-the-mill go-to SHIELD guy. Someone you would merely throw in a scene, even though the focus was on someone like Nick Fury or Dum Dum Dugan. Really, one of his more notable appearances was in the late-70s Marvel Godzilla comic. He admittedly didn’t do much, but he survived a few confrontations with the King of the Monsters and that’s awesome!
The late-70s also laid some important seeds for Woo’s future in an early issue of Marvel’s What If? series. The anthology comic was usually about Uatu the Watcher focusing on an alternate reality and seeing how things would have ended up if history had zigged instead of zagged. A world where Captain America wasn’t frozen, a world where Spider-Man prevented Uncle Ben’s death, etc.
The ninth issue, “What If the Avengers Had Fought Evil in the 1950s?” was written by Don Glut and drawn by Alan Kupperberg and Bill Black. As a framing device, the story was being watched by Avengers members Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Vision, and Beast. Looking into the past of an alternate reality, Iron Man saw an adventure where a bunch of 1950s characters teamed up and called themselves the Avengers.
The team was made up of:
Jimmy Woo, still trying to hunt down the Yellow Claw.
Marvel Boy, a twist on Superman’s origin where a man tried to escape Nazi Germany by flying he and his son to Uranus on a rocket. The son grew up to be a hero using gadgets and enhanced scientific knowledge.
3D Man, with the speed and strength of three men. He was sort of a cheat, as he was introduced in the 70s with his story taking place in the 50s.
Venus, the Goddess of Love.
Gorilla Man, who is like Tim Allen in the Santa Clause if you replaced “being Santa” with “being a talking gorilla.”
The Human Robot, a malfunctioning 1950s robot from a horror comic.
There were also appearances by Namora and Jann of the Jungle. Pretty sure one of the villains showed up in one of the obscure “Commie Smasher” Captain America issues.
Anyway, after the good guys won the day, President Eisenhower told them to disband. The way he saw it, the world wasn’t really ready for a ragtag super team of weirdos. Watching this, the mainstream Avengers noted their similarities to the members of this alternate lineup. Captain America and 3D Man were cut from the same cloth in terms of fighting style, Iron Man and Marvel Boy were both geniuses with cool gadgets, Thor and Venus were both gods fighting alongside mortals, Vision and Human Robot were both androids with heroic hearts, and Beast and Gorilla Man were both smartass talking furballs.
The Watcher appeared at the end to remind the reader something important: just because Iron Man saw this in an alternate reality doesn’t mean it didn’t happen in regular continuity. After all, who’s to know? It was a neat team-up that was quickly swept under the rug and didn’t have any lasting complications.
Other than a minor appearance in Avengers Forever, the What If? issue finally got the callback it was looking for in the mid-2000s. The team of Jeff Parker and Leonard Kirk did a miniseries called Agents of Atlas. The idea was that while they didn’t call themselves the Avengers, those 1950s heroes did indeed secretly team up back in the day.
For the most part, the characters were the same, but there were plenty of tweaks. Since their origins were tied to the 1950s, Jimmy Woo was aged up immensely for it to make sense, only to be de-aged through Marvel Boy’s technology. Marvel Boy himself was renamed the Uranian and they altered his backstory since one doesn’t really live a normal life on the surface of Uranus (tee-hee). Human Robot was referred to as M-11 and would rarely speak. 3D Man wasn’t part of the team, but they eventually brought in the hero Triathalon to fill in the role. As for Venus, she was retconned into being a guilt-ridden siren of the sea who for a time believed herself to be the goddess.
Most importantly, it gave us this panel.
Sadly, despite its high-quality and Marvel trying again and again, Agents of Atlas never truly caught on. It did last roughly as long as Guardians of the Galaxy did around the same time and we all know how successful that was once it became a movie. Come on, Marvel! Give us some cinematic Gorilla Man! You already know that people love wise-ass talking animals!
Marvel rested the concept for a few years until bringing it back as a new all-Asian superhero team led by Agent Woo. So Woo still has stuff going on.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Maybe WandaVision will be a stepping stone from learning close-up magic to actually being the leader of his own group of heroes. One day…

Update time...actually, why should these be titled? I mean, whats the point of writing a title to these if all I’m going to do is ramble on and on with no specific topic of discussion, just several things on my mind?
Election day 2020 happened yesterday and I voted for nobody. And if I would have voiced my polling choice I would have voted for the candidate I see as being the best option in line with my thoughts and opinions concerning the state of the world at the moment as well as the future.
You can insert whomever you want to believe that would be based off an assumption and a look at my internetting footprint, but you would be wrong, but that’s part of the fun of interpreting what I’m writing down for you in the future. Trying to figure out what I’m actually saying. While it makes complete sense to me, because you don’t have the hidden key phrase you can’t decipher what it is that I am putting to digital paper.
I get it, I’m an asshole.
And this isn’t, completely, a justification towards my actions but a direct result of your intervention within my life that has caused this behaviour. Think of it sort of like a self-fulfilling prophecy. You interpreted me, came back, and intervened in any little way imaginable. Negatively or positively, but no matter your justification, it was still an intervention that didn’t need to happen because, as Malcolm once said, “Life, finds a way.” And just like destiny, it will find a way. But enough of all that crazy talk, you’re here because you want to hear all about my political leanings and to unravel the mystery as to this anonymous random on the internet’s preferred presidential choice in the election that has already passed.
But before I do that, let’s get some shit off my chest because I tend to swear and if you don’t like it, go the hell away. I’m sick of people being sensitive over everything. As if they’re looking for any reason to complain or get offended nowadays.
“The internet has given everyone in (the world) a voice, and evidently everyone in (the world) has chosen to use that voice to bitch about (anyone they find offensive)” -Holden McNeil (with some modern revisions)
And that’s why I’ve chose not to be PC in this thing, whenever I feel the urge to put pen to paper, relatively speaking.
Like, let’s see who I can offend right off the bat.
Women need to start getting punched more and treated like human beings instead of china dolls. If you’re a pro-gender equality advocate, and you’re a woman, you need to be willing to be punched in the face for doing ANYTHING a man would otherwise be punched in the face for. They also need to be held accountable for the shit they do to everyone. I am a strong supporter in believing that no matter what women say about women controlling the government and such, while women have great communication skills, they have the worst track record when it comes to not being aggressive, biologically speaking.
In the wild, whom are normally the more aggressive of the genders? Whom is usually the one more protective of the young? more willing to go out to hunt?
To be fair, I have a very limited knowledge when it comes to the animal kingdom. But, I mean, the Black Widow is normally depicted as being a deadly female, the female preying mantis devours the head of her mate after they’re done mating. There are so many, example, of females being worse than males in nature its hard to ignore. And, to add religious believers to the list of people offended, if you’re not ignorant to science and knowledge, or at least the pursuit of it, we evolved over a long period of time from apes, which, by nature, makes us, humans, not white people, black people, yellow people(to stick to the color scheme), brown people(gotta throw the other Asian people’s in there as well), animals. Highly evolved and communicative animals, but animals none the less. Was that supposed to be one word? Nonetheless?
Doesn’t matter. So, if you stick with my logic, you’ll see that women are terrible. Terrible. But, because men like to have sex with females as opposed to men for the most part in today’s society women have a stranglehold on the pelvic reason of an entire world, which means they can make anyone, for the most part, do anything they want and see things their way, even if they’re saying the sky is as green as the skies of Namek. An example of this is perfectly laid out in a clip from That 70′s Show. Kelso and Hyde prove women can’t play fight because they’ll turn it real, for whatever reason, just because they’re girls. To prove this, Kelso and Hyde play fight, and it looks bad, but they stop, laugh, and hug it out. Then Jackie and Donna play fight, starting out playfully, but then turning it into hair pulling and needing to be pulled apart. Both visibly angry.

(OK, my memory was bad, it was Eric and Hyde, and it was set up differently, but the concept is still there.)
And I get it, they’re actors, being paid to do what the script is telling them to do, but it is true. Girls are worst during puberty as well, from what I’ve heard. And I get it, I have a biased standpoint being a male, but in today's culture that shouldn’t matter, it’s about what’s being said, not my gender.
Now that women are out of the way, lets also as black people, but not specifically black people, its more of a systemic form of racism that I believe shouldn’t exist. In which, if you are not of that specific race, you are not allowed to say the n-word. What makes me giggle right now is that with just that sentence every single person reading this probably got a bit riled up. A bit ruffled in the feathers because I’m not a black person. And if you weren’t, you are now, knowing what you know now.
So let me provide you with some context so you can understand how I’m not racist at the same time as saying what I said above.
I enjoy rap music and hip-hop, as do a lot of people throughout the world, black or otherwise. Which, in this current climate, would be considered one of the forms of cultural appropriation we tend to sweep under the rug because it doesn’t fit our narrative of being offended about something. Because I like rap music I tend to learn the word to all of the songs I enjoy listening to. Because I learn the words to the songs that I enjoy listening to I sing along. But, because I’m not black, I have to ruin my flow to edit myself just because the artist chose to use nigger in their song. Which, as an artist, is their choice.
Now, why should I have to edit myself? I have tried to replace it with “wigger”, but because of the closeness of the words, I felt that would still be offensive if I was ever overheard by the wrong black person who, understandably, would be mad if they heard a pasty white boy say the word nigger without any context.
I just think, unless the person is using the word in a hateful way, directed at the person the speaker either personally knows or is conciously speaking about, as in “i hate that nigger” or “you’re a nigger”. If it’s something like that, totally beat the shit out of that racist.
But if you’re singing along to Wu-Tang, and you say:
I be that insane nigga from the psycho ward I'm on the trigger, plus I got the Wu-Tang sword So how you figure, that you can even fuck with mine? Hey, yo, RZA! Hit me with that shit one time! And pull a foul, niggas, save the beef for the cow I'm milkin' this ho, this is my show, Tical! The fuck you wanna do on this mic piece, duke? I'm like a sniper, hyper off the ginseng root PLO Style, buddha monks with the owls Now who's the fuckin' man? Meth-Tical It shouldn’t be labelled as being racist.
There is more rattling around in my head right now, things that I’ve been thinking about for years, and things that have been bothering me for just about as long, but for now those were the two that fell out when I vomited all over my keyboard.
And if you’re offended. Get over it. You need to start.
Oh, I almost forgot. I was going to tell you whom it was I was going to vote for yesterday if I had voted for anybody. Jokingly I wanted to write-in “Obi-Wan Kenobi”. But in truth I was going to vote for Biden. Not because I thought he was the better candidate, but because there was not a good option at all, he was just the lesser of two evils. This election has made me decide I want a third option when it comes to my politicians, or at least, get rid of political parties all together. We spend so much time infighting and holding each other back instead of up no real change has happened in the past decade? Longer? And whatever change that does happen gets nitpicked apart so much it becomes a shell of its former self. But, enough about that. I have a baby demanding eggs and waffles and I still need to tag this.

34 for the renaissance ask
34. What changes would you make if you were asked to readapt Twilight?
oh BOY here we go
so i think about this A LOT, and i have a bunch of different ideas but i’ll give y’all the one i come back to most often
animated netflix series. 2d animation with 3d utilized for certain complex action scenes. my favorite animation styles are typically the really loose(?) and expressive ones (think studio trigger productions), so i’d try to get something like that
in terms of NARRATIVE CHANGES:
reworking the werewolves. stephenie actually gave me enough ammo to fix the problem in my own way? this might be kinda long. the origins of vampires would be a lowkey mystery in this adaptation, but they’ve been around since the dawn of time. in response to this, certain early humans evolved into werewolves—specifically, the children of the moon present in canon. many of these CoM were killed, either by humans or vampires, but those who survived long enough to procreate passed on their wolf genes, and those genes evolved as time passed, losing a lot of their negative traits (warped beast form, uncontrollable transformations, etc). these NEW genes became the shifting wolves we see in canon. both forms of lycanthropy still exist, and caius hunts the CoM into near extinction just as he does canon. this new version of the shifter gene expands with the general human population, but, over time, it becomes rarer and rarer as humans spread out. in present day, the gene is most common in places where the same groups of humans have lived for extended periods of time, so not only do the quileutes have a historic pack, but there are dozens of other packs across the globe that adopt similar practices. there are also plenty of “lone wolves” who wound up with the gene outside of these communities. some humans have it, but if they never meet a vampire, it just doesn’t activate. if someone’s gene never activates, there’s less of a chance of passing it on to future generations, which is why shifter wolves become less and less common as time goes on EXCEPT in areas where vampires are commonly found, like forks and la push. that was very long and i could go into more detail but basically ANYONE can be a werewolf in this version! and there’s no weird cultural appropriation!
a diverse cast. this pretty self-explanatory. i was going to make a separate point about character designs, but basically, emmett would be black, alice would be asian. stephenie’s weird skin tone thing is out the window: everyone just looks “dead” for their skin color, they’re not all white. edward is an actual redhead with freckles (why does vampirism get rid of freckles, stephenie? what the hell?) the volturi are made up of a wide variety of races and ethnicity; i cannot dive into every character, but basically, it would just be... realistic
jacob is not a love interest. he’s just bella’s childhood friend. i think i’d have him keep his initial crush on her, but he gets over it pretty fast and does not become an asshole later on. maybe blackwater is endgame? who knows
in a similar vein, all of the characters are... fixed. edward doesn’t stalk bella; maybe he peeks into her room from the trees outside, but he never sneaks in. he doesn’t do weird shit like tear up her truck to keep her from driving places? he just... gets some chill in this. he’s still melodramatic and he still makes mistakes (yes, new moon will still happen, but more will go down to prompt him to leave than just one incident) but he’s not abusive. jasper won’t be a confederate soldier. sam won’t have scarred emily. everything is just better. characters will still keep some flaws but not like... outright terrible stuff
more action! twilight vampires are so cool and i wanna see them FIGHT! just more action scenes, for whatever reasons i could come up with. i envision the fight scenes being kind of like the scenes in movies where speedsters are moving so fast that everything around them slows down. you have these epic fight scenes going on at what LOOKS like normal speed, but the world around them is moving in slow motion. for example: when edward leaves in new moon, victoria leads him on a wild goose chase. i’d add in a scene where he does briefly encounter her in rio, and they get into this quick fight in the middle of a crowded street, but no one can see it because they’re moving so fast. they’re bouncing around all over the place, narrowly avoiding all these humans. it’d be super cool
expanded perspective. so much stuff happens—even during the present action of canon—that we don’t see from bella’s perspective. i think the movies did a good job of pulling back and showing us other things (like adding in bits of the newborns in eclipse), but because this would be a multi-season show, there would be WAY more time to look at what other characters are doing, allowing them to have more development!
THE TWILIGHT-NEW MOON SUMMER! you get to see it! it’s included!
new villains! new monsters! twilight has such cool lore and i’d love to expand upon it even more. i’m big into shonen manga, and i’d inject a bit of that arc structure into this adaptation. for the most part, it’d stick to canon plot points, but there would be new things going on every now and then. i really like the ghouls that i came up with in my fic, and i think they would fit well into canon among other things! like i said earlier, the origin of vampires would be a lowkey plot point, so there would be things to do with that
BREAKING DAWN GETS A FACELIFT. i’m not sure exactly how much i would change, but probably a lot? i think i would have to get through re-adapting the first 3 books because i think those are pretty much fine, but BD would need a complete overhaul. there are elements in there that are cool, like the cullens learning to work with the wolves and having a big confrontation with the volturi that i would LOVE to expand upon, but we’d definitely have to get there... differently. no imprint. no weird pro-life narrative. as much as i’d like to rework renesmee, i’m not sure i’d have bella get pregnant at all; she’s not a mother in my eyes
that’s everything i can think of off the top of my head (which is a lot, i know). netflix please call me
