Kabru/Mithrun is funny because it's: guy who lives to pull people's strings/guy who doesn't have any strings to pull.
Kabru/Laios is funny because it's: guy who lives to pull people's strings/guy who has one very obvious string to pull but the other guy doesn't want to pull it because its GROSS.

Prompt 111
Y’all know H2O? Where some people get cursed to turn into merfolk whenever they get water on them? That, but replace water with ectoplasm and merfolk with naga.
No, Bruce has no idea how they managed to get cursed or how he ended up with an armful of baby snake-person creature thing. At least this one isn’t black-hair and blue-eyes so his kids can’t complain at him. And it’s not his fault they all fell into this, this was supposed to be a vacation while Lucious, Alfred, and Gordon kept an eye on things back in Gotham.
On the bright side, his children want to snuggle up for once, which he supposes is nice. And Damian seems pleased about it judging by his rambles about snakes. So there’s that.

Danny comes to live in the Wayne manor. In order to keep his alter ego a secret Danny comes to the logical conclusion that he has to act like he is against vigilantism. This leads to a discussion on how, since vigilantism is still against the law, and even though they're mostly pardoned from it, Batman is a crime lord and all his sidekicks are or were his henchmen. The bat kids find this hilarious much to Bruce's chagrin. He dies a little inside every time the kids call him boss, bat boss or refer to each other as his henchmen. They even call each other nicknames like "youngest henchmen" or "undead henchmen" ect.
One day Phantom arrives at the justice hall to find Batman defeatedly banging his head on his desk. Phantom lends a sympathetic ear as Batman tells of his newest ward.
Oh my gOD-
Phantom listening to Batman’s complaining and equally panicking because “holy fuck Batman is Bruce Wayne” and also trying his best to not laugh because this situation he put himself in is a perfect opportunity to double down on the bit even more.

a great advice for when you are afraid that your oc is too similar to a canonical character is to Take your oc and dump them directly into the place of the canon character to see how They'd react to the situations. they react too similarly for your tastes? edit them up.
example: it was worrying me quite a lot that Zephyr might be too similar to Moon. both an old female ("female"... it's supersized microwaves how female could it be /j) Gen 1 iterator that is the senior of her group that collapses and her absence seems to somehow both affect a lot and not at all the rest of the group, both are relatively kind as evidenced by their interactions with slugcats. alright, that's really similar- don't feckin like that! but big part of that is the inevitable fate of all iterators (all will one day collapse). you could call it a trope, cliché. tropes and clichés are tools for the story to take a root somewhere and then the characters themselves help develop it in an unique way
"okay, so i'm going to throw Zephyr into Moon's situation and compare how both of them (would in Zeph's case) deal with it to see if their personalities are too much the same." i say to myself result:

The golden rule of Legends is when it’s good, it’s GOOD (re: KOTOR games, original Thrawn books).
… Unfortunately for the most part, a lot of it is a disconnected, confusing screaming mess and it scares me.
Also, for the love of all that is holy, do not read any of Karen Traviss’ stuff.
incredible, also dw I'll probably end up avoiding their stuff by just not reading any legends LMAO

?: Hey, mister! Spare some change? Wyatt: Shouldn’t you be in school? ?: What’re you, my mom? [Wyatt snorted, shaking his head as he looked away] ?: You know, it’s rude not to answer people. Wyatt: Isn’t it rude to beg? ?: Meh. Wyatt: What’s your name? Zach: Zach. Wyatt: Well, Zach.. how about you earn your money instead? Zach: Do I look old enough to get a job? Wyatt: From me, twerp. Zach: Oh-.. sure! [Wyatt narrowed his eyes] Wyatt: Careful what you agree to so readily, you don’t even know what I want yet. Zach: You some kinda weirdo? Wyatt: There’s plenty around. Zach: I can usually tell ‘em apart-.. whaddya want? Wyatt: A distraction. Zach: Ooh, distractions are my speciality! Wyatt: Then I guess it’s my lucky day… … Wyatt took the lead as Zach scampered after him, asking a million and one questions about where they were going and why. Since it wasn’t important, he ignored the child’s non-stop blathering and strode ahead; not that it stopped him. It struck Wyatt that adults didn’t particularly become any less curious than children over time, they just managed to regulate how many questions they gave voice to at any given moment-.. especially those that had no answers.
