Pokemon Teams for adult Owl House Characters.
So last year one of the big things I liked to do on Tumblr was take characters from Fantasy cartoons, think about, and design pokemon teams for them. With how big The Owl House cast is I was able to spend so much time coming up with teams for and got multiple lists. While scrolling through my posts I found that I had never actually posted my adult characters poke list. Luckily I still have the pokemon I picked, also I have started making collages of pokemon teams and adding them to the lists for visuals. Time to make and post my late list.
Rules for my lists
1.) Six pokemon is my max for a character... actually though for this list since many of the adult characters kinda got their screen time/story lines shafted I did 6 for the most important three, and gave remaining adults 2-5 depending on how much we saw of them and their personalities. If viewers can think of other pokemon that suit the smaller teams feel free to put them in the comments.
2.) I do not give any trainers legendary pokemon. They are in my opinion to powerful to own. Mythical pokemon very rarely appear on my lists (None will appear on this one). I also purposely try to avoid giving trainers fully evolved teams, as a personal preference. Even for adult characters I like to imagine their Pokemon potentially growing and evolving with them.
3.) For character with really close relationships (rivalry, friendship, family, romance) I sometimes like to give them similar pokemon, branch evolution, a special type, or parallel pokemon to show that relationship. So that is taken into account in these lists
4.) This list is compiled from what I know based on the anime and pokedex research I did myself. I might not match the games or manga
5.) These are of course my own opinions. If you have differentiating ideas than mine, or think a character is more suited to different typing's feel free to tell me. I actually love reading those comments
Now that that is out of the way teams below.
Eda(lyn) Clawthorne a.k.a Eda The Owl Lady
Hoothoot: Represent's Owlbert. I mentioned it on Luz's team, saying how it's technically Eda's pokemon, Hoothoot is also close with Luz, and frequently joins Luz's team in an effort to help Eda watch over her.
Noctowl: This represents Hooty. Since it is now cannon that Post final pre epilouge Hooty moves out of the Owl house and in with Lilith I will say the sisters made a trade and Lilith gave Eda her an Omastar.
Cubone: This is to represent King. Dana and the crew did base King's design off of Cubone, so How could I not give Eda a Cubone? (Fun coincidence Stanley Pines also has a Cubone on my GF list)
Gasty, Haunter, and Gangar: Okay so obviously Eda would have to have a cubone and a couple owls (Owl Lady), but the obvious aside you cannot tell me that "Ghost type" would not be her favorite type. As far as ghost types go these three are and will always be the Kings. Their designs rock, all three are super powerful, they are clever. If that's not enough they're all three mischievous pranksters. If Eda were ever to have pokemon minions, those minions would be a Gastly, Haunter, and a Ganger.
One finale thing is that I have learned Gangar is a trade evolution pokemon. At first I was going to say Eda had two Haunter's and just did quick exchange with Mortin or someone... but I changed my mind and decided that Eda already had a Haunter, but tricked a stupider Emperor's Coven Scout or bounty hunter for trading her their Haunter (evolved into Gangar) for a rock that she stuck in a pokeball and convinced then was a very rare pokemon. In her diffance they clearly weren't smart enough to in charge of anything beyond an actual rock.
Eda's team: Hoothoot, Noctowl (traded for a Omastar during Time skip), Cubone, Gastly, Haunter, Gangar.
Lilith Clawthorne
Phantump and Trevenant: I decided to give Lilith three ghost type pokemon, liek I did for Eda (Spooky Sisters). At first I was gonna give her the licklit line, since its also a trilogy but well they really are not that impressive looking, especially when compared to Eda's three. In the end I when with the Phantump line. They are pretty cool looking, Are scary at first, but it turns out they just want friends. That is similar to Lilith's arc in the show... Also they have a move unique to them called "forest Curse". (The show wanted the fans to forget come season 2, but we all remembered). Trevenant requires a trade to evolve, so I gave Steve a pokemon that did too, and am just saying that her and Steve did a quick trade and trade back.
Bannette: Here's one Lilith had to have due to her... deep-seated unresolved/partially resolved family issues/sister complex. Bannette is also the evolved forum of Shuppet, which is one of Amity's pokemon, and I do like them having similar pokemon given that the epilogue implies that they became much closer after Amity cut Odalia from her life. Plus they both do work through complex issues in similar ways: getting a new hairstyle. (Another fun coincidence Stanford Pines also has a bannett on my GF list)
Murrkrow: This one is to represent her palisman Mike Socks. I picked it over a more similar colored bird because Murrkrow steal something it is bad to do, but are doing so to placate a higher up Honchkrow. This can represent Lilith's relationship with Belos and how he was able to manipulate her to do bad things.
Omanyte and Omaster: Lilith is a historian who absolutely loves history so she would want fossil pokemon, and being a part of the Emperor's coven likely had access to the means to revive a pair. I picked these two, well because they look similar to barnicles which Lilith canonically likes to make into crowns and wear on her head. For real though while this pair are smaller and not as colorful or powerful looking as the big Dino fossil pokemon, I could easily see Lilith easily loving them. As mentioned above Eda eventually comes around to see the pair as pretty cool too, and the sisters make a trade: Omastar for Noctowl. (Lilith seems to like to trading in this universe)
Lilith's Team: Phantump, Trevenant, Banette, Murrkrow, Omanyte, Omaster (traded for Noctowl in the time skip) .
Raine Whispers
small note here that Raine will be the last one to get 6, as they are the list adult who felt fully explored to me, and I cannot exactly think of any story lines with them that feel missing.
Noviern & Crobat: Now there is a handful of music based pokemon and it would have been an easy thing to just grab six of pokemon with musical inspiration and call that the team. But This is Raine Whispers! In a show filled with bards and other types of Witches They Stand out as the Most powerful Bard and on of the Most powerful over all. They deserve a much more thought out team than just basic music pokemon. So I thought deeper.
Raine's abilities don't really center around one particular type of music or even instrument. They are shown to study and be knowledgeable with sound waves. Noviern and Crobat are both sound wave pokemon. One a fierce dragon and flying type who is very strong in battle and a perfect Ace for Raine. The second one is a flying and poison type that's sonar can be used to detect medical issues and dangers. Plus both of them are Bat pokemon, and we all know about Raine and BATT's .
Zorua: this is representative of Raine's palisman Fiddlesticks. I origianlly was going to use Fennekin given that it is a wizard themed fox. But I decided Zorua was a better representative since it is able to transfom and hide its identity to protect itself. Raine was able to keep Fiddlesticks safe for decades by disguising them as an ornament on top of their violins. So fiddlesticks is represented by Zorua
A male & female Meowstic team: This is actually meant to be a reference/representation to Raine being gender queer and using "they/them" pronouns. Originally they may have both been refereed to singularly as "he" and "her"... just as Raine may have been once refereed to as before they became old enough to inform others that they are actually "they". Likewise since Raine has a pair that fight together they would now be refereed to as "they and them" when referenced or spoken about using pronouns, just like Raine is. I could have technically used any pokemon where the genders look different. I picked Meowstic because I liked its design, power stats, and being able to add Psychic types.
Drizzile: I had to give Raine a full team of six. Its what they deserve. Drizzile felt like the perfect pokemon to round out their team. It is super smart and a stealth pokemon, can camouflage itself into its surroundings like Raine had to. It's trap laying skills could be really useful for protecting the rebel base and helping thwart the capture of wild witches. I put it at its second stage of the sobble line because it is meant to be a "Moody, emo teenager", and I figure caring for it could help make Raine a better/ more empathetic teacher, which was their original job in the bard coven.
Raine's team; noviern, Crobat, Zorua, Male & Female Meowstic, Drizzile.
At first I was slightly unhappy with this team because none of Raine's pokemon were similar to Eda's and rule 3 has been my most important rule for THL lists. But after I was done I noticed that both Eda and Raine's teams are comprised mostly of nocturnal pokemon, which works great because both of them have such active night lives.
Steve Tholomule
Steve gets five as I consider him to be one of the most important side characters
Sandslash & Umbreon: So I mentioned these two on his brother Matt''s list. That Steve has had them for a while, and Matt likes them so much he caught baby version of them to raise himself (I also said on that list that in this world Steve probably got mixed up in Team Rockett, before leaving it to join the Pokemon rangers) At that time I didn't really think to deeply as to why Steve had them. Dark and ground types seemed like they would suit him. These two iconic enough I could see them being recurring pokemon for a recurring character. All in all they are just some pretty cool pokemon for a character who turned out to be a pretty cool guy.
Gourgeist: Once again not one I thought much about. It's a parallel to Lilith's Treevant, and the pokemon Steve used in his and Lilith's Trade to evolve it then trade back exchange. This also kinda makes it a representative of their relationship: How Lilith is implied to be the one superior who gave Steve praise and treated him well. Remembering that Kindness Steve refused to turn his back on her when she left the coven, and was even willing to recommend her a "good therapist" when he learned she was having trouble breaking some of her learned responses.
Pom-pom style Oricorio: This one is because of Steve. It is a cheerleader pokemon. Steve's original depiction is as a guy who likes to loudly cheer for people he believes in. Originally Steve anf Oricorio cheared for the Emperor. Then they learned better, and now cheer for the recovery of the Emperors abuse victims (themselves and the others).
Nidorena: Steve's final pokemon, whom he caught around the time he left the Emperor's coven. It is very protective of children, and Steve's breaking point with the coven's was when they sent him to capture and forcibly apply sigil's to children. No no, that is not what Steve and Nidorena want for there lives or the lives of those they meet.
Steve's team: Sandsladh, Umbreon, Gourgeist, Pom-pom style Oricorio, Niorena.
Eberwolf the Huntsman
Eberwolf (like his bro Darius) is clearly a character the show wanted to do much more with, but he was introduced to late and the cut seasons meant they ran out of time. I have come up with 4 pokemon for him, and really wish I could have done 6 (this is the most powerful beast keeper in the isles!). so if anybody can think of two more please put them in the comments
Steelix: Eberwolf's ace. It is representative of the Eber's pet Ratworm, whom frequently aided him on missions.
Venipede: representative of the red-biting bugs he fought with on the day of unity
Pignite and a Midnight Lycanroc: a strong fire pig and scary werewolf for the character who's name is a combination of "Boar" and "wolf"
Eberwolf's team: Steelix, Venipede, Pignite, Midnight Lycanroc.
Darius Deamonne
Darius is another character with 4 pokemon
Shiny Muk: Giving Muk or Grimer to Amity and Jerbo who started off the show still learning their craft was a no brainer, as raising/training those pokemon could help them figure out how to craft abominations and how they should move. But I also figured that even adult/master abomination specialist still keep muk's for compainionship and as muses for their craft (maybe Darius's trains him too, when he is in his second form). I gave Darius a shiny Muk because it fits his vanity/ pretentious side. That to him even goop monsters should be pretty. ( Afterwards I remembered that Hunter and Luz are the two children I gave shines to on my childrens list, and Darius is also close to Hunter).
Servine: A pokemon that Eberwolf found for Darius/ pushed him to catch, telling him what a strong pokemon it is and how it shares Darius's attitude and dislike of being dirty. It finds itself stuck spending a lot of time with Eberwolf's dirt loving Pignite, and the two's realtionship mirrors that of their trainers.
Delcatty: Another one I chose for Darius based on its fancy stylized appearence (to be real I had to give him at least 1 sorta purple pokemon) and more indifferent 'Leave-me-to-my-peace-and-me-time-please" additude. Also it is popular in contests and Darius would likely be a retired big star among those
Impidimp: Among Darius's multiple high class, pretty snoots, he has Impidimp who is a hyperactive, crazy, board line feral... well Imp. How Darius came to own such a pokemon? Well that is elementary: It just kinda showed up one day and made a habit of messing with him. Darius would yell at it to go away or try to leave himself, but Impidimp decided teasing and annoying Darius was a lot of fun and filling; so it frequently went looking for him. This initially caused Darius a lot of frustration and prompted him to eventually Scream at it "Stop following me. I am not and do not want to be your friend"... After that he did not see Impy for a few days got a tad bit worried about it. Then he heard that sever weather was coming and rushed out into the woods to look for it. He claims he had to catch it in a pokeball because it is just to ridiculous to look after itself. No one believes this Lie. Darius loves Impidimp.
Darius's Team: Shiny Muk, Severine, Delcatty, Impidimp
Alador Blight
I settled on three pokemon For Alador
Female muk: I swear I saw an episode of the anime where female muk's were depicted as having rosy cheek's, but according to what I found on pokedex sights they actually look exactly the same as the males. Regardless Alador's muk being female is an important detail, because it is in fact the mother of Amity's muk. Hence how he was able to gift her a baby grimer when she became interested in abominations.
Pikachu: Meant to represent Ratador, Alador's little rat palisman. I went with pikachu over say Rattata becasue it is a pokemon that evolved with high friendship, and as Alador does not fly or fight with a Staff, I am assuming that Alador primarly needed Ratador for a buddy.
Volcarona: Don't even try to argue with me that a giant fire breathing moth isn't something Alador would be head over heals For. It's a flying insect, with destructive powers and potential, and its Alador. enough said... it actually gets along petty good with, and enjoys flying around with the twins Butterfree and Masquerin.
Alador's Pokemon: Female Muk, Pikachu, Volcarona
Principal Hieronymus Bump
And three pokemon for everybody's favorite principal
Indeedee (male): Indeedee is actually the pokemon I picked to represent Frewin. Now I know Impidimp is the closest to him in appearance, but Frewin is unique among pasliman in that he provides a really specific, physical, aid to Bump: he is Bump's seeing eye palisman. So I googled what pokemon would be the best at that, and Indeedee (male) is what I got. It is a psychic type, can sense other's emotions using its horns, and is super protective and caring towards its trainer.
Bastion: an ancient and powerful shield dinosaur, I picked to represent Bump's bond with his students, how protective he is of them, and his desire to shield them from the worst evils of their corrupt system.
Comfrey: We know Bump actually does really like flowers. But more than that Comfrey's helps people relax, Something Bump is shown to not do nearly as much he would like to. Also Comfrey would probably be a big help in calming down stressed out or fighting students.
Odalia Blight
Odalia only gets two pokemon
Abra: It is cute and sleepy looking pokemon, that Odalia will publicly dote on. It gives the impression that both it and Odalia are such sweet individuals... No one knows that behind the scene Abra is Odalia's spy, who reports anything her family or employee's do that she can use as an excuse to manipulate or punish them for.
Spiritomb: This one is representative of the mummy spirit she fights Alador and the hexsquad with at the end of season two. In otherwords it helps her deal out punishments
Camilia Noceda
I would have loved to give Camilia more than two pokemon (She totally deserves more pokemon than Odalia) but she was only in 3 epsidoes, and there is no sandal pokemon. So this was all I could come up with on my own
Wigglytuff: Camilia is a vet. By the time I got to her I had already used all three of Chancey's evolutionary forms on teens from this show. So I looked up alternate pokemon Nurse Joy's have owned. On that list I found Wigglytuff. Its a great pokemon, and a cute little critter, so I picked it. It helps Camilia out at her vet center, and at home has taken a shine to Vee and her baby Happiny, whom it helps Vee teach new moves.
Shiny Elgyem: For Camilia's second pokemon because it is all Alieney and Sy-fy, which are two genre's Camila is shown to love. Also is it a Shiny. IF Darius gets a shiny pokemon, then so does Camilia. Luz has a shiny pokemon too, and this is not a "who adopted Hunter post show post".

how many fics do you have on ao3?
18! most are shoved to pseuds because I do not want them associated w me anymore but I don't want to make it so people who like the fics can't find more by me because that shit drives me insane.

what fandoms do you write for?
the owl house, mostly. I'm planning on expanding to more, writing for several more fandoms now in fact. but I mean if you've seen one of my fics somewhere, it's probably from owl house.
what are your top five fics by kudos?
an open book (with a torn out page) is very much in the lead still, stubborn is in second, loyal is in third, eggwart salad in fourth, and identity in fifth. I do think most of that is the toh fics being that popular because hunter + they were made during the show being super !!!!!, so when I post more fics the rating will probably change more. one day I'll actually finish more lmao I'm sorry guys I'm busy as shit.
do you respond to comments? why or why not?
I try to! because when I'm commenting I'm always worried I'm being annoying andbtoo much about the fic and bugging the author so me replying is me trying to say "hey!!! I really appreciate this!!!!", although sometimes I just don't know what to say and ghost (sorry!!!!)
what's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
ohhh god I gotta talk about my old fics great /lh, cold probably. I think it's the only FULLY hurt no comfort I've ever written? it and settle for a ghost. I'm leaning towards cold because
A. I hate settle for a ghost /lh
B. cold is literally about Pure Pain. there is no silver lining there is no "this character in canon gets a happy ending", it's just "this character is gonna die horribly in a few days, here's some angst"
what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I mean, eggwart salad is entirely father son fluff. it's just darius loving his weird son for several thousand words. but if we're talking fics with some sadder parts with a happier ending, probably happy new year, dear, or maybbbeeeee roses and lilies? I used to write a lot of that shit. man I need to write more of it.

nope! never been my forte besides shit like in the setting of another media. ex, what if [x] character was a pokemon trainer and that shit.

have you ever cowriten a fic before?
that depends on your definition! I've done a lot of things where me and a group will brainstorm an idea together, make into a fully fledged thing and we'll all suggest dialogue. some of those conversations have become fics, sometimes even with my dialogue and a lot of my ideas. so I guess...yeah, I've cowriten fics! if that's your definition.
what's your all-time favorite ship?
hmmm, I'm not as much of a shipper anymore. but I did love twohina back in 2020-2021-2022 (ifykyk) and I do have a soft spot for raeda. goldenheart is currently blorboing though and I do love huntlow. and oh I love zukka! I don't know if I really have a favorite ship, though.
what's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I really really really REALLY wanna finish dadrius week and am trying so hard. but ohhh my god my life is on fucking fire lately July just kind of exploded and it's been downhill from there lmao. but I'm slowly getting back up again so hopefully I do finish it. sorry gang my life's been on fire. as y'all have probably noticed lmao.
what's your writing strengths?
INTROSPECTION!!!! ohhh my god. character studies I like to think I can do pretty well! character analysis is my special interest. give me a character and I will find a way to give them depth so help me god.
what's your writing weaknesses?
ohhhh god. describing actions. like hand motions, fight motions, movements, expressions, visual shit, or anything descriptive, or just! shit like that! it's insane!! I don't fuckin know how!!!!
thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I have no fucking clue how and considering I want to write more luz stuff I really should learn. the problem is I Have No Fucking Clue How. do you see the issue.
first fandom you wrote for?
warriors, not on ao3. first fandom bb.
favorite fic you've ever written?
open book! I think it holds up pretty well, although I do wish I focused more on how the secret effects gus. one day I really want to sit down and write something with him , I just need to get in his head more. I do think my hunter characterization was pretty good there? I think? I hope so. I need to work on him again, he's tough to nail down.

Nobody talks about the Misfortune Sisters and honestly that’s just kind of tragic because during my play through of the game they, especially Charm, have been my favorite battles/interactions.
I’m sorry but Legends Arceus gave us the Misfortune Sisters and everyone sleeps on them.
You have Coin (likely ancestor of Team Galactic’s Saturn)-who is implied to have some sort of dispute that soured her disposition with her clan, causing her to leave and take up work with the Galaxy Team. Something soured her attitude towards people, where before she had “always been willing to help others, if begrudgingly” (Irida’s words). The incident also seemed to have left some doubts in her abilities as a trainer, her remarks when she loses a battle are rather self deprecating.
The there’s Clover, impatient, clever, and frankly kind of feral. She just up and left the Diamond Clan one day to join the Security Corps, only to quit that job to become a thief. Nobody in the Diamond Clan knew where she went and were still actively looking for her by the time Adaman bumped into them with Akari.
Charm is probably my favorite antagonist I’ve seen in a while. She is one of the two people in the game that is IMMEDIATELY sympathetic to Akari’s case instead of suspicious. This is a child being sent to the work most adults are to afraid too, without any training of her own. She see’s Akari’s kindness, and tell’s her off the bat that she should be careful. “Not everyone can afford that luxury.” She’s one of the original Galaxy Team members from Kanto and she went “f*** it, I’m done.”
I WISH PLA got a little more development time so that we could have seen a proper throw down between her and Kamado, as well as Coin and Clover with their former clan leaders.
I want to know so bad what made them leave their homes for a thief’s lifestyle. You can sort of piece together Coin’s situation, and how it possibly involves the warden of another poison-fighting type, but as for the others were left kind of clueless.

They Probably Think Ingo’s Dead
TLDR:
Why is everyone assuming the people in the present thinks Ingo is missing?
The most likely scenario (to me anyways) is that they think a tunnel collapsed on him, given the line of his work and how violent the time rifts seem to be.

The Subway Bosses are investigating the strange readings from ATO’s navigational system that’s messing with the trains.
They reach the most concentrated region- an older but still sturdy and usable part of the tracks- and start searching for the source.
Their in the middle of investigating the tracks, walking opposite directions when the time rift hits, causing extreme structural damage.
Chaos erupts as the Subway Bosses try to keep the tunnel from collapsing around them, pokemon bursting from their pokeballs to help. Concretes and asphalts falling around them and they simply don’t have the maneuverability to dodge.
Each is trying to reach the other- to grab him and get the hell out of there hopefully but both end up getting nailed in the skull with a particularly large piece of ceiling, knocking them out.
Their pokemon are too focused on trying to keep them from getting crushed to really do much when the time rift until it opens proper. Ingo and a good portion of the tunnel is taken and the rift closes just as quickly.
Chandelure’s scream could be heard through out Nimbasa City.
The rest of the Subway workers- having been on the move as soon as the alarms went off, eventually find a badly injured Emmet and the two’s pokemon (a small legion of incredibly powerful, incredibly freaked out pokemon) trying to get him to wake up.
There’s no trace of his brother- despite weeks of digging and searching later.
Subway Boss Ingo is just, gone.

Alright why aren’t there any Ben 10 Danny Phantom crossovers where Skulker and Khyber meet up and end up trying to determine who REALLY is the greatest hunter.
And not in a “I hate you and I’m so much better at hunting than you” sense. More like “Oh I finally met someone who appreciates my craft as much as I do and is the closest person to my level of skill that I’ve met. Let’s make this fun” sort of sense.

Good Stuff: Best Of 2020 Runner-Ups
Welp, as my Top Ten List of 2020 will release New Year’s Eve, it's time to share the runner-ups for the best animated media I've seen this year. They equally came a close second and I wanted to share everything I found memorably engaging and helped make this year worth continuing.
Pony Life; Doesn't capture the weekly magic I got from the original series but does just as good a job being entertaining with the cast certainly sounding like they enjoyed hamming it up.
Song Machine; This admittedly was what got me back into Gorillaz because I love the soundtrack as much as the atmosphere each episode compliments. I can always look to Gorillaz for good looking AMVs.
Pixar’s Soul; I was satisfied but it certainly felt like more could've been added, especially in the 3rd act & the world building for the afterlife. The film definitely spoke to me personally, it's good, but I won't say it's S tier like Wall-E or Ratatouille.
Lupin the 3rd: The First; While brought down for what's admittedly a formulaic Lupin story, it really achieved being the greatest looking CG film Lupin could ever received with the flow of the series never losing it's touch. Animation alone is worth the watch.
Helluva Boss; Better than Hazbin Hotel and it really got a nice balance between comedy and violence with a great cast. While it didn't blow me away 100% of the time, I very much am pumped for more if the quality's up there with the first two episodes.
Animaniacs (2020); I agree that this is an unapologetically greedy show, one that feels like an incomplete not as memorable return to form, but it was nonetheless entertaining & I can appreciate that it brought back a good fandom love for the Warners. Counts for something.
Magical Girl Friendship Squad; This show had a remarkably shitty first episode, but got its footing around episode 3. It's nothing I haven't seen before, better, but it's generally unique in presentation where I could tell there were somewhat improving with time.
Meggy’s Destiny; A good capoff to an arc previous in SMG4's timeline. Has a pretty middling low point but it's sandwiched within a very entertaining & kinda cathartic film.
Mr Krabs On Ketamine/Spongebob Rehydrated; I didn't enjoy Sponge On The Run, but these games certainly made me recoup my appreciation for Spongebob. To think both of these got their recognition through speedrunning, and both are a joy to see exist as they are.
101 Dalmatian Street; It's a show about doggos with an amazing artstyle and an incredibly good cast. That's all there is to it.
Owl House; Not as great after thinking about it for enough time. Some episodes are tediously unoriginal and I did not like the season finale. Doesn't make for a bad show because I very much want to see what's next for everyone in this universe. I love the characters and the story has a path I wanna see more of.
Dorohedoro; A metal looking thrill ride where every protagonist is lovable and the casual atmosphere of it is what sells this series on top of its animation. Not as memorable but was worth sticking in my mind for more.
Pokemon Twilight Wings; I don't really like anything Pokemon outside its animation and this certainly delivered. Neat stories centering around the Sword/Shield trainers where it has an arguably better grasp of what I'd want out of a Poke game than anything.
Harley Quinn Season 2; Man, I was not expecting to love this series as much as before. I love the characters and the story they have for Harley & Ivy's relationship was not something I'd think would go as great as it does. Can't wait for season 3.
Paper Mario Origami King; It felt like a while before I could say Paper Mario was good again & I feel lucky. I loved Olivia, it's certainly a more expressive game than before, this is a really creative game that was worth keeping.

☾ ˚⊹ ❛❛ GENERAL QUICK CROSSOVER GUIDE
So crossovers are usually difficult for a lot of people. So, because I tend to think about these things, I thought I would make this comprehensive list/guide to writing crossovers with me. This isn’t anything in concrete, but to get the ball rolling or to help make it easier for both sides to contribute to plotting. It can be hard when you don’t know the fandom.
FNF, or Friday Night Funkin’ is a rhythm based game around rap battles. The Protagonist (known as BF) is trying to prove himself and win over his Girlfriend’s (GF) Dad, and it spirals from there. Gameplay style, it is very similar to Dance Dance Revolution, and the music is a fast pasted dubstyle/chiptune soundtrack.
What a lot of people know FNF for, however is the Mods. Due to it being on Newgrounds, and the creators having it be open asset, many creators are able to make their own “weeks” for players to challenge their skills in. Ruv, and those within Mid Fight Masses, are one of those mods. You can find most of their lore scattered in the scenes of their week, or by going on their official FNF Wiki.
Now, what does this mean for crossovers? I put it under a read more, simply because this is going to be a lot. I’m going to explain crossover verses I have. How I make them, and how YOU could have your character be in the FNF verse quite easily. So go under the read more to continue reading.
☾ ˚⊹ ❛❛ RUV IN OTHER UNIVERSES
Here are some just ideas that I came up with. While not EVERY interaction will work with these, they are ideas. They’re meant to kick start ideas and inspirations. I do not consider these full verses until I’ve talked with the other mun to make sure that they are okay with it. These can easily be changed, and swapped out for different things. My main goal here is to try and keep Ruv down to his core elements while fitting into a new setting.
POKEMON- Ruv, along with Sarv run the church- which she has turned into a sanctuary and a Nursery. Much like in Canon, Sarv is supernatural, and Ruv as a run away criminal vowed his life for all eternity to protect her. With church’s going out however, the next next step would be a PokeNursery.
Ruv acts as protector of the Nursery from trainers and groups alike. He usually is seen sitting on the roof, throwing pebbles at kids or passerby’s who irk him in some way. You can always find his Onix, his Low-Key Toxtricity, and his Absol around him or the nursery at all times. He does still have his strength, speed, and other abilities. The “face” he has is also a mask- an attempt to hide his identity as the wanted criminal.
OWL HOUSE- Ruv was a wanted criminal for the longest time. His magic, due to where he was born was a lot less like those around him. He could fit into the covens, but anything he did reflected back on him. Living alone, and learning to just modify himself he became a wanted criminal with a bone breaking shout.
However all of those times soon came to a stop as he met the winged mistress he stays with now. Protecting her (though she is much more than capable of protecting himself) she runs one of the many sects in the area. It isn’t the best building, but it’s out of the way and he usually isn’t spotted. However, unfortunately his past comes back to haunt him. He has no choice, and begrudgingly assists the Guards to repay for his crimes.
Tied to Sarv through magical bonds, he has made it clear to those in charge and to her- should something come between his duty as a guard or her, he would chose her a million times over.
DUCKTALES- Ruv is the petrified remains of the guardian of St. Sarvente. Awoken as the earth was shifted off of it’s orbit and forced into something it’s not, the callous guard is in search of the one he calls Sarvente, whom he claims is the Ruler of Souls and the one he Vowed to Protect. He is, 100% made of stone.
TOONTOWN- Stickfigures aren’t uncommon drawings. One’s as complicated as he and Sarv though usually get a few eyes. Not only that, but video game characters are always treated differently in Toontown. Maybe it’s because of a developers history, or lack there of. The story of Ruvyzvat being a heartless killer however spreads like wild flower, and while he and Sarv will primarily stay at the church... sometimes curiosity becomes too much.
KINGDOM HEARTS- FNF is it’s own world. Keyblade turned into a microphone, Ruv & Sarv are some of the first that would be met. Despite their challenge, they are rather distanced from the troubles of the Darkness and Light and would be semi-good companions.
THE BLACKOUT CLUB- Ruv is a 16. Any day will be the day that a voice will end up taking over, merging with his mind. That’s fine. Much like how Seed-The-Grudge would want, he’ll just get revenge.
HAZBIN HOTEL / HELLUVA BOSS- Ruv ironically enough is one of the few in Hell who does not make him dead. In fact, in some cases that can make him extremely rare. This crossover he IS able to accompany Sarvente into the Underworld, and follow her on her treks through it. While most assume he is a dead sinner, he usually just doesn’t answer. However something about being here and meeting those who reside within the land sets him off. He’s a tad more feral, and a tad more willing to go to the violent answer.
PORTAL- Violence core. What else is there to say? Alternatively, him being a test subject would be fascinating, especially if he was grabbed post-vow. The man is immortal, and therefore would have messed with the tests just by the fact that there is only way for him to die. Death isn’t the worst thing to happen to a man however, and he does still feel pain.
RWBY- Ruv has the ability to manipulate sound waves, specifically his own). Trained with great strength and and even greater speed, his form of combat is continuously dodging as he looks for a weak spot. Weapons of choice are shot gun snow boots, and his sickle that doubles as a short sword.
DOCTOR WHO- Sarv has the ability to create portals. While they are MEANT to be used to intergalactive travel, but instead parallel world travel that in of itself is monumental for a lot of DW plots. Ruv and Sarv can easily go from one universe to the next, however chose to stay in the church. Not to mention Ruv’s skills in target elimination and his abilities would make for some individuals to repurpose him into a weapon. While they have been approached by UNIT on several occasions, they always refuse. However, enough time has passed that they’re starting to notice that the couple in the church aren’t aging...
FNAF- RUVYZVAT and SARVENTE were creations of Fazbear Entertainments as karaoke machines... if we want to go the robot route. If we want to go the normal person route, Ruv was hired by Fazbear’s because it’s one of the few places that doesn’t do a background check, and when he said he wanted to wear a mask as part of the work outfit they were all for it. He runs the karaoke machine though. Stays away from quite literally everyone. While he isn’t the infamous killer of children here, he does have a reputation of his own that he is running from, and that does tend to make him silent.
BATIM- Criminal on the run stumbles into the wastelands formerly known as Bendy’s. Actually enjoys it at first because the cartoon was popular when he was a child. ALT. Stickman drawing of one of the artists come to life. Usually pretends to be Lost One, but when he’s alone with another (Sarvente) they turn into their stickman version selves. Has the ability to jump between 2 and 3 dimensions, but none of the strength or voice.
PSYCHONAUTS- Agent Ruvyzvat, Russian sector. Ruv is working for the Psychonauts in some weird, turning event. Mainly because the sole woman that he trusts and saved his life, Agent Sarvente brought him in. The two are inseparable, and despite Sasha and Nein being infamous for their clinginess, these two take it to a whole knew level. Ruve’s “loud voice” is actually a psychic ability he can use outside of the mind to jumble and confuse thoughts and has no damage on anything physically in the present.
GRAVITY FALLS- Sarvente is a Demon, much like Bill. Where sa Bill desires nothing but chaos and madness, Sarvente is trying her best to keep the world like it is and preserve it’s beauty. Seeing such beauty in a runaway criminal, she and he run to the forests of Oregon. Throughout Weirdmageddon, neither managed to be captured or turned to stone, however Ruv seemingly gained his incredible voice abilities. Now, they live in a semi-collapsed church out in the forest. Sarvente always asking those who come her way to join their church, Ruv is suspicious why such events would happen in such a small town, and is distrusting of most everyone he sees.
DETECTIVE CONAN / KAITOU KID / ANY ANIME OR SERIES LIKE THAT- VERY infamous criminal. Take his “Wanted Dead or Alive” that exists in all other verses, and ramp that up quite a bit. Usually wears a mask whenever he is committing a crime. He does seem to be in it for the fun, though it’s hard to tell with the stoic and expressionless looks. That being said, he does seem to have a very clear goal of what he wants. There are no patterns to where he hits, or what he takes. From wallets of people off the streets, to priceless artifacts. He’ll find where Sarvente went, and how they were able to change her mind in such a way.... how they could corrupt her.
MODERN / NON-EXTREMELY FANTASTICAL- Ruv is honestly a rather down to Earth individual, in some terms. He is untrusting of EVERYTHING, but also due to his own strengths finds little that fear or challenges him. Keep him mind he did make a deal with Lucifer (or his Lucifer) for Immortality for protecting her. While he will always be doing things on his own, a lot of his end goals and motives will come back to her. Without her involvement, he is a walking, talking, machine of destruction with no sway on which side he decides to tear apart.
☾ ˚⊹ ❛❛ GENERAL STOPPING POINTS FOR WANTING TO PLOT
DON’T KNOW THE WORLD YOU’RE FROM / YOU DON’T KNOW MY LORE. - That’s fine. I can get my hands dirty. I can research. In fact I usually would love nothing more to. I love learning about new fandoms, or new media to get into. You shouldn’t be afraid of that. As for mine- It should take someone less than an hour to get through all of the links I have posted in the RESOURCES tab in my bio. I’ve timed it. So if you have an hour to spare, or 15, or just enough time to read his wiki that’s fine. He’s not from a long running show, or anything like that. You can catch up extremely quick.
WELL WHAT ABOUT A BOOK/COMIC? HOW WOULD HE FIT IN?- If we are talking about Super Hero comics, then it depends. 90% of the time I will just play up his wanted status a lot more, and make it more of a reason for an interaction. You just ran into a man who has killed hundreds. If your muse is a super hero, or a vigilante? Would you let him go? What a villain? That might make a good partner.
TV SHOW? LIVE ACTION?- Again, it depends on the type of show. Superhero follows the same above. If it’s investigative, have him be a witness. Or a falsely accused man who can prove he isn’t the guilty party. Is it more supernatural- well he did make a deal with Lucifer and is an immortal now from it. There are a million ways to spin it. Don’t look at making him a big character. Quite honestly, side characters that you pass in the street have just as much backstory, and as long as there is a plausible chance of interactions then we can work it out from there.
☾ ˚⊹ ❛❛ GENERAL IDEAS TO BE AWARE OF THAT MIGHT HELP
HE IS A WANTED CRIMINAL.- Meaning his name Ruvyzvat is known. Despite his crimes going on for decades, he is on the run and never stopped. Several city, state, countries, and possibly nations are looking for him, and looking to take him in.
HE IS ALSO AN IMMORTAL.- While he hasn’t been around forever, and nearly not as long as Sarvente has been, he HAS been around for at least 100 years, give or take some. He can be injured, but even fatal injuries heal in an almost Deadpool like way.
HE ALSO HAS SUPERNATURAL POWERS.- His speed and reflexes alone is not something to be taken lightly. He does train and fight with Lucifer on what used to be a semi-regular basis. He has moved and adapted to be able to make sure no one but the singular person he trusts is able to lay a hand on him. That isn’t to say you can’t catch him off guard. You also have his inhuman strength to worry about, but most of all his voice. His voice which could completely demolish a building, and that isn’t the full strength. He has an amazing control over it, but that certainly isn’t a trait of his to ignore.
HE IS NOT ALWAYS IN THE CHURCH. I MADE SURE OF THAT WHEN I MADE MY BLOG.- He goes on walks, and he goes on errands. He also goes to the Gym on occasion, though not as often. He enjoys walks on the beach far earlier than anyone should be awake at. What I’m saying is running into him OUTSIDE of the church is possible. That being said, meeting him IN the church is your best bet for him warming up quicker. He feels safer in the church, and therefore usually wishes to stay there.
DOESN’T FIT THE STYLE OF CHARACTERS/WORLD? - If he doesn’t fit, then I can work to adapt him into something that WOULD fit. What characteristics about him doesn’t work. This is when I would need plotting help. If, lets say it was an all animal world, we can talk about what he is, his traits, and other such things. I am always happy to not use my icons- I just like to because I think they’re neat and I worked hard on them.
WHAT WOULD HE BE DOING?- Any number of things. He likes throwing pebbles at people. He mainly guards and protects Sarvente and her things, but I know we’re talking besides this. He cannot cook, but he does actually sew, and he does read quite a bit. Working on his fist to fist fighting would be a big one. He likes secluded areas, which especially work for explorer’s and people who walk off the beaten path.
IS THERE ANYWHERE HE COULDN’T BE?- He wouldn’t be at a bar. Ruv doesn’t drink, at all. I also don’t see him at any parties unless Sarv dragged him to them. Writing starters or plotting around those are perfectly fine, but do not expect his muse to be comfortable while he’s there.
HE SEEMS OVERPOWERED.- At times, he certainly can be, but only when he feels it’s necessary. He doesn’t flaunt his abilities, and most he has are out of self preservation. If you as a mun are worried about him and what he can do, the best thing you can do is read my information, look into his wiki, and then come and talk to me. Ruv isn’t someone who will 100% abuse what abilities he has, especially since now he is trying his best to be better for her since it makes her happy.
☾ ˚⊹ ❛❛ GENERAL IDEAS TO HAVE YOUR CHARACTERS IN HIS UNIVERSE
LOCATIONS?- The Church, the back alleys, the karaoke bar (that primarily does rap battles), the Alternate dimension that Sarv made so that he can be loud and not retrain his voice.
MOTIVATIONS?- If your muse is in the FNF world, then be ready for some sick beats to be dropped. Your muse could be rescuing someone from the BBEG and going through the slew of minions to sing against. There’s always the alternative side of this of “what the hell is going on?”
MY CHARACTER ISN’T FROM THERE, SO THEY WOULDN’T FIT IN.- Well I do have a “main” verse which replaces raps with fists. Looking for someone important to them, in the search of a deep and hidden artifact within the search, the rumors of a man born 100 years ago- theres a lot to be found in the library if you looked.
WHAT DOES THE FNF WORLD CONSIST OF?- It consists of Demon Daddies, Singing Skeletons and Pumpkins, Tankmen, a Demonic Lemon Demon, Sentient Video Game Characters, and if you take the mods in you also have Demon, Angels, Ghosts, Deadly Ex’s, Bomb Headed Men-- I promise your character will fit in at the end of the day.
ISN’T HE EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE AND HARD TO TALK TO?- He can be. He talks in very short sentences, however I do my best to give my reply enough that you can reply to. Actions, and I chose to be very descriptive with his expressions in this case. Ruv spend many years alone, and sometimes with him, actions speak louder than words. When you or your muse figure that out is up to you.
WELL WE CAN’T DO AN ENTIRE THREAD IN A CHURCH.- I never said we had to. He is more than happy to leave the church should he want, and should there be a reason. Usually, (despite what it seems) he does like helping people, so you can lure him out that way ;)

So, playing Path of Radiance today, and being introduced to Soren, I had some bizarre personal revelation, and I invite you all to join me down memory lane on a very long, elaborate tale.
I know halfway through this you’re going to have forgotten where we started and be like “Roddy stop talking about your neurotic childhood playing Pokemon, what the fuck does this have to do with the character Soren from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, the ninth installment in the Fire Emblem series--” and I promise you it all comes full circle in the end.
So to start, check out my Rayquaza from Ruby, the first Pokemon game I ever played, and his nickname.
I have a Rayquaza named Sorenn. (Second “N” added by me to avoid copyright claims or commit tax fraud, or actually just to pretend I was original because I was a kid at the time.)
I love him. He’s one of my handful Ruby babies, from a game where I only used and got attached to a few Pokemon, but man did I get attached once I did. He’s the only one of them with a nickname, and he’s had it since I caught him.
So, the name “Soren”, where was I borrowing that from? Good question. As a kid, I read the book series Guardians of Ga’hoole, which is about warrior owls, and the main character is named Soren. ...but my Sorenn is not named after that character, not directly, not by me. The first of those books came out in 2003, but I didn’t start reading them until probably 2007 or so.
I think...most likely, my Sorenn is named after Soren from Path of Radiance, a game which I of course literally just started playing today. And I think it’s likely, but I can’t know for sure. Yeah, I really don’t know what my own Rayquaza is named after, but it could be for a character from a game I never played. This seems on brand - the fact that it’s bizarre, convoluted, and a long explanation that gets weirdly personal right out the gate.
I was a neurotic kid when I was young and it came to Pokemon. I had a very “if I die in the game I die in real life” kind of attitude and I would...basically have anxiety attacks at the thought of losing a battle in the game. The thought of having a Pokemon faint instilled me with terror - whiting out would be unthinkable. I wish I was making a joke or exaggerating, but I still have clear, distinct memories of the sobbing mess that the rival battle at Nugget Bridge/Cerulean City left me. I don’t know why I became this way, or what made me stop, because I did, but my playthroughs of Ruby and FireRed were marked by this sheer panic at the thought of making a mistake. It took me years to get through FireRed because I was paralyzed by terror.
My childhood neuroses are yes, somehow relevant to the nickname of one of my Pokemon, because my inability to play the game own my own is where the two other people involved in my story come in - my brother, and a kid he knew who we’ll call J. J was the only person we knew (other than our cousins who live 7+ hours away by car) at the time who played Pokemon. He was a bully to my brother, too, and eventually my brother managed to cut ties with him and find better friends, but at the time, Bro would go over to his house to play Pokemon, and sometimes I would come along.
J had many more games than we did, Pokemon and otherwise - he had a GameCube and Pokemon Colosseum, too. He played a lot, and restarted a lot, and didn’t really have too many sentimental attachments to his Pokemon, so he gave a lot of them away and never asked for them back. I still have tons of them in FireRed, and one in Ruby. (My Umbreon, the one that kickstarted my love for Umbreon, the spiritual predecessor to Tubbo, is his. He gave me it for the Mossdeep City Gym, because it was a double battle and literally my only good Pokemon, the only thing I had that was above level 30, was my Blaziken. He tried to take Umbreon back once and I cried. I still have it.)
I was terrified of the Elite Four in Ruby, even though I had a level 93 Blaziken and could’ve won only using it, but there was obviously nothing rational about anything I did with that game at the time. And Blaziken and my new Groudon were the only Pokemon I had that were vaguely good. So I borrowed two of my brother’s better Pokemon - his Swellow and Kyogre - and one of J’s, not counting the earlier Umbreon - his Rayquaza.
Note the one “N” and the different trainer ID number.
The other thing to know about how I played Ruby and FireRed was that I was a copycat. I wasn’t confident in my own decisions - I guess you can already tell that from everything I’ve already said. It was terror the whole way through. I was a weird, weird kid. But I copied so many of the decisions that my brother made - started with a Torchic because he did. Started with a Squirtle because he did, and chose the Helix Fossil in Mt Moon because he did. (Even though what I really wanted was a Charizard, and when I got one from J, who I still have, my Blastoise became a benchwarmer. Did I start with Mudkip in Emerald because my brother did or because I liked it better than Treecko? I don’t know.)
I copied nicknames, too, and gave them to some same Pokemon. Some from my brother.....and one from J. I just threw an extra “N” on there. That’s my Sorenn. I named him after someone else’s Soren the Rayquaza, and I don’t know who that Soren was named for.
I remember, though, J had a Tyranitar named Dante. It stuck with me because I’d never seen a Tyranitar before, nor heard the name Dante before. J played a lot of video games besides Pokemon, and I imagine his Dante was probably named after that one Video Game Man Protagonist named Dante, and not the Italian Bible fanfiction poet named Dante. I mention this to establish a vague possible precedent for J naming his Pokemon after other video game characters.
A few years later, I started reading the Guardians of Ga’hoole books, with their protagonist named Soren, which was a name I’d never heard before besides J’s Rayquaza, and I think I thought “huh, maybe J read these books too? Maybe that’s it?”
But it feels more likely, with all I knew of J at the time, that his Soren was named after Fire Emblem’s Soren. He had a GameCube, after all, and played a lot of games. (Bro and I were Pokemon-and-Kirby-only people, at the time.)
The question is really if the timeline adds up, and I can offer you a solid maybe. Here’s some release dates.
Pokemon Ruby - March 2003

I know my brother and I didn’t play Ruby and Sapphire on release, but I don’t know how long after it was. And I don’t know how long it took me to get to the point when I was willing to take on the Elite Four. It would have had to have been at least the end of 2005 if my Soren namesake theory is correct. Going off of my age then, I think it’s likely that it was at least last quarter 2005 - I don’t think I started playing Pokemon much younger than that. And Colosseum was out by then, so J definitely had a GameCube by then. I included FireRed on my timeline even though I don’t know how long after its release I got it - it was Christmas, but I don’t know what year. And I don’t know if I was finished playing Ruby by the time I got FireRed.
But...this was over a decade ago, and it was my mother buying us those games, and Bro and I weren’t aware of new releases to want to get them, and maybe it’s just the haze of memory talking but I feel like games did have longer lifecycles back then? Maybe I was just a kid and couldn’t know otherwise. I only owned like five GBA games by the time the DS released.
I could easily have just been playing Ruby at the end of 2005. J could’ve played Path of Radiance by then, and named his Rayquaza after a character from it. I think that’s probably the most likely scenario. It makes sense for all the pieces I have, and who I knew J to be. And maybe I’m just stretching to fit what I think, but hey, Soren’s a wind magic character, and FE wind magic is green, and Rayquaza is a green flying-type....
In conclusion, a game that I just started playing turned into a nostalgia bomb of the weirdest kid, and not for the “Ike is in Smash Bros and that’s a game I’ve played thousands of hours of” reason that I figured this game could nostalgia bomb me with.
And I grew up from being a weird kid to a weird adult, and that has me feeling rather fond of Soren Fire Emblem even though I just met him and he’s also kind of a jerk. He makes me think fondly on one of my most beloved Pokemon, who he may or may not be the namesake of.

My goodness, you certainly gave me a lot to work with, but I know just who I want to pair you with because of it!
It didn’t take me long to realize you and Ashe would be a good fit for one another; many of your interests are the same or similar but the two of you are also different enough to keep things lively and interesting in a relationship!
The two of you probably met in the Monastery's Libary; it’s a little cliche, but the two of you were reaching for the same book at the same time and your hands touched. Ashe, of course, retracted his hand immediately and blushed before even seeing your face; seeing how cute you were only made it worse for him. However, you’re just as shy and probably hid your face so he couldn’t see your blush. It was all very cute and before you could apologize, Ashe was handing the book to you. “It’s one of my favorites,” he had laughed, placing it in your open hands “I’ve read it before, so you can have it.”
From then on, he was in deep; Ashe couldn’t help but recommend more of his favorite books to you and even went out of his way to read things that interested you so he could have more of an excuse to talk to you. It was obvious to anyone that saw the two of you together that you liked one another but since the two of you were both the wonderful combination of shy and awkward, it took far longer than it should have for the two of you to get together.
But the two of you get along so well together, people wonder how you ever functioned without one another. Ashe’s want to help others paired with your compassion makes you quite the duo and the two of you became known for helping others however you could. Behind closed doors, the two of you are a very sweet, affectionate couple, reading to one another, indulging in the others oversharing about their hobbies/interests (just the way Ashe’s eyes light up as he talks about true chivalry is enough to pick up your heart rate) or taking some time just to soak in the others company.
I truly think the two of you complement one another in a great way, where your strengths are similar enough to work in tandem but you also cover one another's weaknesses (Ashe is forgiving in situations where it might be better but other times you know when to draw the line). I really think you two would be so good for one another!
As for partner pokemon, I can’t help but feel Absol would be a good fit! It’s got a basic animal shape while still being very much based in mythology, especially if you mega evolve it! While they’re said to be harbingers of misfortune, the truth is Absol actually forwarns of danger (kinda like Mothman in that sense?). And surely it will be strong enough to defend you but content enough just to spend ifs time with you protecting you only if the need arises.
Another thing, I like to think that Absol’s will only stay with trainers they find are caring and compassionate; so long that you show Absol you’re worthy of its service (so, just keep being a dear and being helpful and kind to those you meet) I’m sure the two of you will get along perfectly!
Can’t you just imagine it? Your Special Dark Puppy Creature curled up by your feet as you read or write, ready to help at a moments notice! Oh, and I just saw above how you love dogs so... isn’t it great that I choose Absol?

Been banned by ****IrisHatersSay simply for disagreeing with her on May and Misty, but will still reply to her points anyways, merely out of obligation.

Well, gee, considering the entire point of a discussion is to continue talking, yeah, I don’t know WHEN to stop.

The Johto stretch may have been excessive, but at least THAT had actual lasting results that carried over into the next saga, such as Ash beating Gary, not to mention advancing to top 8, which even if we don’t count his win at the Orange Islands is still a major improvement compared to in Kanto where he barely made Top 16 (and for circumstances beyond his control, namely Team Rocket abducting him). AG, on the other hand, literally had by its end May being replaced with a girl who shared the EXACT same goal as her, rendering her arc pointless in the end, had Ash winning Top 8 AGAIN, and even when Ash did end up gaining the one actual accomplishment for that saga, beating the Frontier Brains, not to mention beating Brandon’s Regice with Pikachu single-handedly, the whole accomplishment got treated as a joke by Gary (who beat Pikachu with Electivire despite Gary pretty much being retired from training by that point), not to mention Paul twice (and both times with explicitly rookie Pokemon).

If a parent outright ends up HATING the profession of child-raising and child-rearing, they aren’t fit to be a parent, period. Doesn’t matter if they’re abusers or not. Though that being said, it does tend to outright lead into abuse if they hate the child. Just look at Lois Griffin, hated Meg her eldest daughter, and was very abusive towards her.

Just because I didn’t watch AG doesn’t mean I didn’t look up various stuff like episode summaries/synopses and getting a gauge on the episodes via trivia sections and or other things. I usually use those as compensation for when I don’t watch a series myself. Second-hand knowledge, if you will. Besides, just because you’ve watched something directly doesn’t mean you’re actually right. Thomas Jefferson personally witnessed the events of what would become known later on as Bastille Day while acting as the American Ambassador to France, and he ended up being completely wrong in his assessment of the French Revolution, singing praises for the Jacobin murderers (ironically, John Adams, who never actually set foot in France at all during that time, had a far more accurate assessment of what that event would result in, being ahead of the curve compared to even his fellow Founding Fathers’ assessments, let alone Jefferson).

Of course people don’t have the same DNA code (well, barring maybe identical siblings, but even there, there’s slight variances), but that doesn’t mean people can’t have similar reactions. As far as psychologists, considering psychologists literally convinced my cousin that she was gay just because she had slight trouble with men (something which my mom, who actually HAD psychologist training from trying to train for nursing, was aghast at), I have zero reason to trust them at their word regarding that bit. Besides, even if that were true, it doesn’t change the fact that she outright hated the Pokemon Training profession at the start, which is STILL inexcusable.

At least Norman’s actually IN her life, and not as a deadbeat dad, and at least she HAS an actual loving family to go to, unlike Misty and Brock, who were abandoned by their parents and in the case of Brock pretty much was forced to act as the closest thing they had to a parent until Flint came home, and had to endure fairly abusive siblings in Misty’s case. No matter how much emotional strain there might have been between May and Norman, it’s still nothing compared to outright abandonment (and not even “abandonment to protect your child and/or not deal with bad memories of a rape” kind of abandonment, but more “screw you kid, I’m not dealing with you anymore” kind of abandonment due to Misty and Brock regarding the Gym’s difficulties), to say little about outright abuse, and you know it. Now, if Norman and Caroline treated her like Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia Dursley did to Harry Potter by barely feeding scraps from the table, forcing him to sleep in a cupboard under the stairs up until his first year in Hogwarts (and even THEN, only out of a failed attempt at preventing the Owls from delivering Harry’s acceptance letter), and even doing stuff like outright starving him or locking him up for various reasons, heck, even deeply considering feeding him to Dementors, THEN you might have a point regarding how May’s interactions with her parents were a lot worse than Misty and Brock’s were, not to mention actually warranted.

The literal definition of misogyny is “hatred of women”. I’m pretty sure true misogynists would outright HATE a woman simply for BEING a woman at all, not caring about her personality or character. Actually, it is bad writing, and I would have said it was bad writing even if I DID like the narrative direction/character. I said the same thing about Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Beast’s development earlier, and in case you’ve forgotten, unlike May, I actually LIKED Beast as a character.

Regarding the first part, those mob of men who came over to Lot’s house to interact with the two men who arrived (actually angels of God) certainly were acting very “hospitable” to them, considering they were trying to make them sleep with them. Or maybe I should quote the specific passage for you just so you realize that hospitality was far from the reason for its destruction: “The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. 2. Homosexuality IS a sin, actually. Aside from Sodom and Gomorrah as listed above, not to mention Leviticus 18:22, even the likes of Jesus’ apostles, with Jesus’s own blessing mind you, outright said that homosexuals are among those who are barred from heaven. And what’s in the past affects the present, since God’s law does NOT change (well, save for maybe dietary restrictions and/or mixed fabrics).
3. Actually, being trans IS bad. In fact, Deuteronomy 22:5 even explicitly states it’s outlawed to a man to wear a woman’s outfit and a woman to wear a man’s outfit.

The Bible’s reference to slavery actually referred to indentured servants or, you know, people holding jobs. If anything, God also didn’t like the kind of slavery you alluded to since... well, the Book of Exodus made that much very clear.

Homosexuality IS a choice, and even if it wasn’t, it’s a mental disorder, which means it needs to be cured. It’s like saying psychopathy is not a problem just because it got removed from the DSM book while disregarding that it only got removed because psychopaths actually intimidated the guys writing the book into removing it. There’s even a term for it, “zapping the shrinks”, and in fact, the guy most instrumental in getting it removed, Frank Kameny, outright admitted they got it removed due to outright intimidating them, or to quote him, “ At that point they were afraid to say no to us. So they said yes. “.
“Also, people often later discover they’re not the gender or sexuality they thought they were, so jot that down. That’s not “choosing”, that’s self-discovery. And please, characters are hardly ever confirmed as straight. You just think they are because it’s the norm.”
When previous seasons or comics or what have you depicted the characters as actually dating, heck, even marrying the opposite sex without any indication of NOT being attracted to them, it’s pretty obvious they were in fact straight. “Self-discovery” is a stupid excuse to force a character to change. And for the record, the only reason my cousin became a lesbian was because a psychologist outright said that she was that just because she had some trouble with dating men, and my own mom was upset at the whole thing when she learned of it. And just as an FYI, it’s actually pretty common for homosexuals to become homosexual due to being molested by a sexual predator. It happened with George Takei, and it happened with the guy who founded the so-called “LGBT rights”, Karl Ulrichs. They even admit it, though aren’t willing to confront that they were in fact molested.

I am of the opposite view, that homoseuxality needs to ultimately be cured. Besides, considering the lifestyle has several maladies associated with it, not just STDs, but even being more prone to infections, it’s pretty clear it’s ultimately for their sake to do conversion therapy on them. Besides, what makes you think that the gay person DOESN’T want conversion therapy? What if said gay person actually REQUESTS conversion therapy? Should you refuse him?

First of all, Pro-life means defending the baby’s life, which is the most defenseless individual out there. Besides, rapists also can demand an abortion just to get rid of any evidence to their rape, so it’s actually disingenous to claim that rapists would want to keep the baby alive. Besides, there’s a little thing called “adoption”. Just because the baby is carried to term doesn’t mean the mother must raise that baby if it was conceived by rape. If she doesn’t want to deal with the fact that she was raped, she can always place the baby into adoption. In fact, NCIS actually dealt with that bit with the character Jack Sloane (and despite the name, Jack’s a woman, a biological woman at that. Jack stands for Jacqueline in this case.). She was raped in college while drunk, yet she still carried the baby to term, and despite clearly loving her newborn daughter, nevertheless put her into adoption largely because she really couldn’t deal with the painful memories of the rape. Ayame from Dead or Alive was a similar case, genuinely loving her daughter Ayane, despite the fact that she existed because Raidou raped her one night. Didn’t have an abortion, but put her into adoption largely thanks to her husband Shiden. And what if the woman DOESN’T want the abortion at all? Besides, the Suffragettes such as Susan B. Anthony were also against abortions, and if anything, they specifically stated that men would use abortions to keep women dependent on men.

Fine, I stand corrected there. However, after looking it up on Bulbapedia after you mentioned that it’s not the same as Pokemon Performers, it nevertheless made it VERY clear from various characters such as Paris and Hermione that they were similar to Pokemon Coordinators, and in fact, Paris even specifically stated it was a subset of Pokemon Coordinators, so my point about their similarities still stands right there.

Oh really? Because you seem to be intolerant towards straight people, christians, and all of those types of people, or any traditionally minded women as well. Like an SJW in other words. And for the record, it doesn’t matter what I myself think, what matters is what God thinks since He is in charge of everything. Besides, according to the dictionary, a Bigot is “obstinate and unreasoning attachment to one’s own beliefs and opinions, with intolerance of beliefs opposed to them; also acts or beliefs ensuing from such a condition”, which if anything describes you to a T. At least I make sure to take into account any mistakes I made and admit I’ve made some mistakes in my prior analysis when you point them out (case in point, the bit about Serena having a Stylist goal).

My OC munchkins
So being inspired by the lovely @msrenai21 and @tyrannobro posting info about their OC’s, I decided to go out on a limb and write about mine. The original post if from this by mutedcat.
I’ll do these for my rocketshipping kids, Jane and Jeremy, and for my guzmeria kid, Fern. Enjoy! WARNING: It’s loooong

1. What is their worst fear? -Jane doesn’t really think too deeply nor much at all about the things that scare her because, well, they’re scary, but her deepest fear is probably losing her Pokemon or family, or failing as a trainer.
2. Does your OC have a temper? -Jane has the longest fuse you’ve ever seen. She’ll get mildly irritated or annoyed, but she never gets truly angry unless it’s an especially bad situation. Then heaven help whoever her anger is directed at!
3. Religious beliefs? -Arceus?
4. Height? -Around 5 feet at age 12
5. Weight? -About 90 lbs.
6. What is something that they really regret? -Telling her parents she hates them after they tell her about their involvement in Team Rocket. She didn’t really mean it, and they know that, but she’ll always feel awful about it.
7. Something they’re proud of? -Her Pokemon team, especially her dear Eevee, and her violin playing skills
8. What is something they really hate? -People who are cruel, manipulative and/or abusive toward anyone, people or Pokemon
9. Now something they really love? -Again, her Pokemon (Eevee, Mothim, and Wooper), her family, playing violin, and taking long walks in the woods
10. How does your OC react when they’re embarrassed? -Jane will get red as a beet and try to brush it off but end up looking and acting more awkward, which only makes it worse.
11. Birthday! -May 18th
12. Are they a morning person or a night owl? -Jane likes to be up early to get as much done in a day as possible. Nobody else in the family knows where she gets it from.
13. Is there anything you would have changed about your OC? -Not really. I’ve been working on her character long enough I’m happy with how she is.
14. If you could compare your OC to an animal what would that be? -Most likely a dog-sweet, loyal, energetic, kinda a klutz sometimes
15. Give me a description of their family. -Her parents are Jessie and James, whom she adores, and by now have settled down a bit and are busy with their clothing store, and her younger brother, Jeremy, who’s quite the troublemaker
16. Are they good with technology? -Jane’s as good as most people, which is to say pretty good; enough to do everything she needs to.
17. Describe some of their hobbies! -Playing her violin (she’s been playing since she was 5), watercolor painting, collecting “cool rocks” (ones she thinks are pretty or a neat shape) training her Pokemon, trying to keep Jeremy out of trouble...
18. Describe their sleeping habits. -Jane has to have her favorite stuffed toys on the bed so they don’t ‘get lonely’. She also has a star projector for her ceiling. She is an early-bird; she’ll be up before anyone else in the house and has learned to stay quiet until they are.
19. What are some of their strengths? -Jane is fiercely loyal to her family and Pokemon. She can also think on her feet, is kind and caring, and is a good judge of character.
20. What are some of their weaknesses? -Her self-confidence tends to be low, and when things go bad despite her best efforts, it can really devastate her. Trying to see the bright side of things, when there isn’t one, can also mess her up. She’s been told she’s not ‘realistic’ enough.
21. Do they suffer any mental disorders? (PTSD/Depression, etc.) -No

1. What is their worst fear? -Not being able to find his place in the world. He doesn’t want to be a Trainer like most kids his age, so he just feels kind of lost.
2. Does your OC have a temper? -Oh boy. Jeremy takes after his mother, so he tends to be hot-headed.
3. Religious beliefs? -Arceus?
4. Height? -Around 4 1/2 feet at age 10
5. Weight? -About 65 lbs.
6. What is something that they really regret? -He tends to tell tall tales, and he kind of regrets some of the things he’s lied to his friends about. Also trying to run away after his parents told them they were in Team Rocket and scaring them with that.
7. Something they’re proud of? -His beloved Aipom, Poffle, and his skills with building things
8. What is something they really hate? -Like his sister, he hates people who are cruel to others
9. Now something they really love? -Tinkering with/building contraptions, his Aipom, his family, and the sea
10. How does your OC react when they’re embarrassed? -He’ll laugh way too loud and try to play it off like “I knew that!” or like it didn’t happen, when deep down he wants to crawl in a hole
11. Birthday! -October 29th (almost a Halloween baby)
12. Are they a morning person or a night owl? -Jeremy likes to get up as late as possible, and then takes a bit longer to fully wake up.
13. Is there anything you would have changed about your OC? -Jeremy is a delightful little shit and I wouldn’t change a thing.
14. If you could compare your OC to an animal what would that be? -A crow. Intelligent, loyal, kinda sneaky, “ I don’t giveafuck,” likes shiny things.
15. Give me a description of their family. -His parents are Jessie and James, whom he loves dearly (despite trying to act cool a lot of the time), and his older sister is Jane.
16. Are they good with technology? -Jeremy is a whiz-he was taking apart his and his sister’s toys (and anything else that wasn’t nailed down) from a very early age. By the time he’s eight he can make his own little robots and other items.
17. Describe some of their hobbies! -Tinkering with anything he can get his hands on (his room looks like a lab), playing with Aipom, playing pranks,. He’s also very good at cooking, something he doesn’t get to use often.
18. Describe their sleeping habits. -He tends to move in his sleep a lot, ending up in weird places or positions when he wakes up. Aipom has learned to stay on the pillow as it’s usually a safe spot. He is not a morning person, trying to keep the blanket over his head until someone rips it off.
19. What are some of their strengths? -Jeremy is highly intelligent, able to take apart and build things with ease. He’s determined, loyal, and loves those he cares about deeply.
20. What are some of their weaknesses? -He’s a terrible prankster, and tends to always be getting into trouble, whether he was trying or not. He can be horribly stubborn, argumentative and unfocused.
21. Do they suffer any mental disorders? (PTSD/Depression, etc.) -No
22. Do they have any physical impairments? (Blind/Deaf/Loss of a limb) -He shattered his left knee from falling out of a tree, and though they were able to repair it, it flares up sometimes to where he can hardly walk for a few hours or days.

1. What is their worst fear? -Failure. She has high expectations for herself.
2. Does your OC have a temper? -*nervous laugh* Her dad is Guzma ffs. Ok, she’s not as bad as him (she has her mom to thank for that), but she can still lose her cool easily depending on the situation.
3. Religious beliefs? -Arceus and the Tapus
4. Height? -A little over 4 feet at age 8
5. Weight? -About 58 lbs.
6. What is something that they really regret? -Running off without a word to start her Island Challenge. She left a brief note but that was it.
7. Something they’re proud of? -Her Pokemon (Venonat, Salandit, Meowth and Magikarp) and her knowledge of all the little secret caves around the island
8. What is something they really hate? -Dishonesty and people who are abusive
9. Now something they really love? -Her Pokemon of course, her parents (until they ‘drop the bomb’ on her, but she realizes she of course still loves them), eating, training
10. How does your OC react when they’re embarrassed? -She’ll get really annoyed or try to brush it off and change the subject-depends on her mood
11. Birthday! -April 10th
12. Are they a morning person or a night owl? -She tries to go to bed early but often is too energetic to sleep, so she’ll quietly get back up for a while and read.
13. Is there anything you would have changed about your OC? -Fern is fairly new, so I may tweak some things
14. If you could compare your OC to an animal what would that be? -I’m not really sure yet. Maybe a ram, because that’s her zodiac sign.
15. Give me a description of their family. -Her parents are Plumeria and Guzma, with whom she is very close and looks up to. She’s an only child.
16. Are they good with technology? -She’s pretty good. She’s no expert but she can navigate the world easily.
17. Describe some of their hobbies! -Training her Pokemon and/or training with them (a habit she picked up from Kukui which annoys Guzma to no end), exploring the island, reading. She's also trying to teach herself magic tricks.
18. Describe their sleeping habits. -She tends to sprawl out on her back or stomach, taking up most of the bed and knocking off her toys. She always has to have the blanket that ‘uncle’ Gladion gave her when she was a baby (but she won’t admit it).
19. What are some of their strengths? -Everything Fern does, she gives it her all. She’s intelligent, independent, and strong-willed. She’s also deeply caring about her Pokemon and family.
20. What are some of their weaknesses? -Fern can be stubborn to a fault, is sometimes too independent, refusing help even if she truly needs it, and can let her temper cloud her judgement (which has led to her getting into fights a couple times).
21. Do they suffer any mental disorders? (PTSD/Depression, etc.) -Not really (her temper isn’t bad enough to be an actual issue)
22. Do they have any physical impairments? (Blind/Deaf/Loss of a limb) -Numerous cuts, bruises, and a couple broken bones but nothing permanent.

One more list of "What if the Owl house character's were pokemon trainers" #3
Okay so The Owl house was the first ever cartoon I did pokemon teams for. Month's ago I made two post's on it: one for notable back ground characters, and one for our main 5. I thoght about doing one for adults... but the adult character, except for Eda and Lilith, did not get a lot of chances to be explored all the way through. I wasn't sure how to do full teams with them, and ended up did not do any for the adults. earlier this week I was board and looking back at my list for notable back ground characters; and I noticed that I hadn't included Viney. Okay she didn't get the screen time she deserved, but she is a great character and I feel she at least deserves a four pokemon team (Like I gave the Edric and Emira). All that being said I do not feel Viney and a four pokemon team are enough for a stand alone post. So I decided to add Jerbo and give him three. It still was not enough. Okay, So I will do Viney and Jerbo's smaller teams then the full teams I thought of for the Clawthorne sisters. I have also been working on smaller teams for notable (if underdeveloped) adult characters, and if I see this one still do pretty well I will post a fourth post
The Owl Lady a.k.a (Eda)lyn Clawthorne
Hoothoot: Represent's Owlbert. I mentioned it on Luz's team, saying how it's technically Eda's pokemon, Hoothoot is also close with Luz, and frequently joins Luz's team in an effort to help Eda watch over her.
Noctowl: This represents Hooty. Since it is now cannon that Post final pre epilouge Hooty moves out of the Owl house and in with Lilith I will say the sisters made a trade and Lilith gave Eda her an Omastar.
Cubone: This is to represent King. Everybody who knows both King anf pokemon knows that Dana and the crew already based King's design off of Cubone. So How could I not give Eda a Cubone? (Fun coinsidence Stanley Pines also has a Cubone on my GF list)
Gasty, Haunter, and Gangar: Okay so obviously Eda would have to have a cubone and a couple owls (Owl lady), but the obvious aside you cannot tell me that "Ghost type" would not be her favorite type. As far as ghost types go these three are and will always be the Kings. Their designs rock, all three are super powerful, they are clever. If that's not enough they're all three mischievous pranksters. If Eda were ever to have pokemon minions, those minions would be a Gastly, Haunter, and a Ganger.
Eda's team: Hoothoot, Noctowl (traded for a Omastar during Time skip), Cubone, Gastly, Haunter, Gangar.
Lilith (Lilly) Clawthorne
Phantump and Trevenant: As soon as I decided to do Lilith I decided she should have three ghosts, like Eda did. At first I was gonna give her the licklit line since its also a trilogy but well they really are not that impressive looking, especially when compared to her sisters. In the end I when with the Phantump line. They are pretty cool looking. Are scary at first, but it turns out they just want friends, Kinda like Lilith... also they have a move unique to them called "forest Curse" (The show wanted the fans to forget come season 2, but we all remembered). Trevenant requires a trade to evolve, so I gave Steve a pokemon that did too, and am just saying that her and Steve did a quick trade and trade back.
Bannette: Here's one Lilith had to have due to her... deep-seated unresolved/partially resolved family issues/sister complex. (Another fun coincidence Stanford Pines also has a bannett on my GF list)
Murrkrow: This one is to represent her palisman Mike Socks. I picked it over a more similar colored bird because Murrkrow steal something it is bad to do, but are doing so to placate a higher up Honchkrow. This can represent Lilith's relationship with Belos and how he was able to manipulate her to do bad things.
Omanyte and Omaster: Lilith is a historian who absolutely loves history so she would want fossil pokemon, and being a part of the Emperor's coven likely had access to the means to revive a pair. I picked these two, well because they look similar to barnicles which Lilith canonically likes to make into crowns and wear on her head. For real though while this pair are smaller and not as colorful or powerful looking as the big Dino fossil pokemon, I could easily see Lilith easily loving them. As mentioned above Eda eventually comes around to see the pair as pretty cool too, and the sisters make a trade: Omastar for Noctowl. (Lilith seems to like to trading in this universe)
Lilith's Team: Phantump, Trevenant, Banette, Murrkrow, Omanyte, Omaster.

The Gravity Fall’s Characters as Pokemon trainers
I have been getting back into pokemon lately, and I made a few Owl house posts about what if the characters in that were Pokemon trainers, what Pokemon they would have, and why. That was so much fun that when I was done I wanted to keep going and do one a list for every Disney cartoon from this renaissance. Ie Gravity Falls, Ducktales, Star vs the forces of Evil, and Amphibia.I am not sure how popular these will be since while GF still has a live fandom, some of these other cartoons fandom may have died out. But making these was fun and I want some people to see my lists, even if its not that many. If I do get a lot of views I will binge more Disney cartoons to get more characters to make teams for
Before I start I do want to give credit for an idea I remember seeing in a post years ago. Someone did a comic of child Stanley and Stanford playing with two Eevee’s and planing to evolve them into vaporeon’s once they become adults and then they can help them sail around the world. But then because the Stan brothers have their fall out and do not go on their trip They never use water stones to evolve their eevee’s into Vaporeons. Stan’s winds up evolving into an Espeon and Ford’s into an Umbreon. That was such a good idea that not only do I want to use it, but it inspired me to turn the pines family into an eevelution family, and everyone who is a Pines by blood or by heart will have an eevelution. I purposely did not use Vaporeon though. I wanted to leave it as what could have been if things had been different, ...or a maybe in the future. Say Soos and Melody get married, and Melody is given an Eevee as a wedding gift. She could decide to evolve it into vaporeon...
But without further rambling the actual teams are below
Stan(ford) Pines a.k.a Grunkle Ford
I will start with Ford. He is the oldest Pines so I guess he can go first. He was also the second easiest (after Mabel) of the Pines to make a team for
Umbreon. Like it says up there Ford and Stan both got Eevee’s as kids. They’d planed to evolve them into Vaporeons when they were ready to leave on the Stan-O-War. But then had their falling out and never went on their trip. Ford did not use a stone on his Umbreon, it stayed u with him on all nighters he pulled studying, and just took it with him on nightly explorations. It eventually evoleved on its own into an Umbreon. This is his top pokemon, and it protects him the most from walking off cliffs, or being jumped by mystical monsters. It will never leave/go against Ford, but it misses Stan, his Eevee/Espeon, and the days when the four of them were a quartet.
Now Ford is a investigative researcher of the paranormal/magical/oddities/weirdness. So I also picked pokemon that kinda represented paranormal/magical/oddities/weirdness. Clarfairy (a fairy like alien from the beyond), Ninetales (a Kitsune, they’re also known to be very intelligent, but slow to let go of things... kinda like Ford), and Nosepass (a Moai head. Plus a magnetic compass that Ford would love studying and would help him navigate his way through dimensons).
Ford also likes researching ghost’s, and needs a ghost type. I decided to give him a Banette, for reasons similar to the secondary reasons I gave him a Ninetales. Basically this ghost is a powerful grudge pokemon, and Ford has some powerful grudges against Stan, Bill and himself (for believing Bill and playing a part in hurting Fiddleford). I am thinking that this Banette may actually be photos or some other memento Ford held onto of him and Stan’s childhood, and it was born from Ford’s conflicting feelings over those times. I also imagine that Ninetales and Banette share Ford’s resentment towards Stan over the incident with portal (all six of Ford’s pokemon were in their pokeballs and went in with him), and they stand guard in the basement to keep him out. Umbreon is not to crazy about this, but it’s outvoted.
Lastly I had to give Ford a water-type. Even after changing his mind about sailing away on the Stan-O-War, and having the fall out with Stan, Ford still spent a lot of time reminiscing down by the lake, and loved boats enough to buy multiple paintings of them for his house. I also wanted to show his and Fiddleford’s bond, by giving both of them fossil pokemon that they could have found and caught in their excavations together. So I decided that Ford would have a tirtouga. (ex. has anyone heard the legend of the great turtle Kachapa? Because its another myth Ford would probably love).
Stanford Pines team: Umbreon, Clafairy, Ninetales, Nosepass, Banette, tirtouga. When I did the owl house I also mentioned if I thought each character would be a trainer/coordinator/breeder/gym leader. I am not doing that again. Mabel would probably like contests, Dipper gym battles. Bput generally everybody in GF is exactly who they are in GF.
(Stan)ley Pines. a.k.a Grunkle Stan
Espeon. So like it says up top Stan and Ford had Eevee’s as kids that they planed to evolve into Vaporeons to come with them on their sailing journey, but after their fallout neither left on the Stan-O-War and neither evolved their eevee’s into Vaporeon. Stan never used a stone to evolve his eevee. He took it on the road with him. They combed beaches for treasure, and put on shows and mysterious acts, and eventually it evolves onto an Espeon on its own. This is Stan’s top Pokemon and spends a lot of time trying to protect him from cops, angry mobs of people he scammed, and guides him to his chair/bed after he’s spent all night working on the portal. It missed Ford and his Eevee/Umbreon as much as Stan did. Once Ford comes back Espeon tried to push for a reconciliation, and tries to get Umbreon’s help. Umbreon tries to make it clear that it still loves Espeon (sibling love not ship love), but that its best to give Ford time.
Hitmonchan: This one was the easiest choice for Stan. Stan loves and is very talented at boxing. Of course he would have a boxing pokemon. It’s Stan’s muscle/guard pokemon for the shack.
Meowth and Purrloin: two sneaky and money loving kittens; that Stan caught on the streets and they helped him pickpocket, steal, and fleece people to get by. Once he opened the mystery shack the pair where frequently part of his attractions. Since Stan has had them for a while I am going to pull a Ash’s bulbasuar/squirtle and just say that the reason they never evolved, is that they simply do not want to. Their first forms eat less, are more marketable when it comes to scams/shack merchandise, and are just the right size for pick-pocketing.
Ditto: Stan changes his identity on the fly whenever it suits him, and in pokeverse has a ditto that helps him do it. Learn from the master and all that.
Cubone: Stan’s final pokemon. I googled the loneliest pokemon and got Cubone. Okay y’all Stan is a lot of things: he is a liar, a thief, and a con. He can be selfish at times, and has acted without regard for others property, feelings, and well being. But at his core Stan is not a bad person. Deep down Stan is just a lonely man who desperatly wants to fix rifts he has caused and find a way to be safe and happy with his family.
Stanley Pines Team: Espeon, Hitmonchan, Meowth, Purrloin, Ditto, Cubone
Mabel Pines
She was honestly the easiest Pines to create a team for just because she has so many distinct interests that I can use for refrence
Sylveon: This is Mabel’s eevloution. She is the warmest Pines, and is all about creating strong bonds with the people around her. So Sylveon is perfect for her.
Tepig: She also would of course have a pig pokemon because of Waddles. I looked up Pig pokemon and only saw three: Gruntpig, Swinal, and Tepig. I do not want to give Mabel a Swinal because it’s skinny; and canonically one reason Mabel found Waddles so cute was because he had a fat face. Gruntpig seems like the fattest, and cutest, of the three, but its abilities are to similar to things Gideon did to the Pines family. That leaves me Tepig by default. Tepig actually works pretty well for Mabel. It’s small, pudgy, adorable, is a strong fire type pokemon that will evolve into a strong fire/fighting type.
Luvdisc: Mabel is a huge romantic who loves to flirt with boys and try to play matchmaker with her friends and relatives. I am giving her a Luvdisc to represent that. It would be cute if Marmando (her one positive, yet brief, relationship that summer) sent/gave it to Mabel; as a thank you for helping him get back to the ocean and his family.
Teddiursa, and Smeagle: Pokemon that I chose to reflect Mabel’s love for stuffed animals and art/creative projects.
Ponyta: She loves Unicorns, or at least did before she met Celestabethabellabell (Her name is stupid and I do not care if I spelled it wrong). Seriously I kinda thought about taking ponyta off remembering how cruel that judgemental hoof-face (thank you for the insult Wendy) was to Mabel and her friends. But I left it on for a few reasons. 1.) Unicorns are feminine, powerful, and chaotic creature. Mabel is also feminine, powerful, and chaotic. Those traits made her the break out star of GF when it originally aired, and the start of a new trend of female Disney protagonist who were adventurous, feminine, chaotic, and powerful (which I have loved for 10 years). 2.) Ponyta’s database says that once it gets to know someone, its flaming mane will cease to burn them. Mabel is absolutely the type to catch and befriend a ponyta just because she wants to braid its fiery hair. So Mabel still gets a ponyta.
Mabel Pines Team: Sylveon, Tepig, Luvdisc, Teddiursa, Smeagle, Ponyta. Sylveon, Ponyta, and Teddiursa came with her to GF (she couldn’t use Ponyta’s hair because it would have incinerated The Shack.) She caught Smeagle in “Headhunters”, won Tepig from the Farmer Sprout in “Time travelors Pig”, and Lovedisc is from Mermando.
DIpper (Mason but he would prefer you to use his nickname) Pines
So Dipper was the hardest of the Pines to make a list for, because while he is a fun character with development, he wasn’t as zany/goofy as his family. So to form this list I looked more at his tenancies and attitude; as apposed to with his sister and Uncles I made there lists off their interests and corks.
Glaceon: This is gonna be his eevelution. None of them really fit perfectly with Dipper, and of the four I had left I decided to give him Glaceon; because it can cool temperatures around it. Some running jokes with Dipper are that he has a sweating problem, yet also hates showering and doing laundry (also appearing nervous, but that’d not really a joke, everybody hates that). So I thought maybe Glaceon could use its abilites to help Dipper sweat less.
Bonslie: its a tree. Dippers prophecy and hat symbol is a Pine tree. For dipper I needed to use that symbol to get six
Question Mark Unkown: Dipper Loves Mysteries, books, solving the unknown. He spends the whole summer treating Ford’s journal like a bible in his quests to learn all about the mysteries of gravity falls; especially who the author was and what happened to them. Let’s say Dipper found it around the same time he found the journal and started looking into the mysteries of gravity falls
Gastly: Ghosts are Dipper favorite Paranormal creatures, so he would have at least one ghost pokemon. I have seen some fans give Dipper a Phantump because of his tree symbol, which is valid. But I really wanted give him a Gastly because its such a silly ghost. Dipper is so serious a lot of the time. He sometime seems to associate being serious with coming across as mature. (Dipper grownups can be silly too. Please look at every adult in the show). I wanted to give him a goofy ghost, that help his family tease him into acting like a kid and having some fun.
Tyrogun: its a baby fighting type, and raising and training it couId represent how Dipper is beganing totransition from a boy to into a young man. I image Stan saw it in the wild, took Dipper to where it was at, and told him to find a way to catch it. It also likely has a similar relationship with Stan’s Hitmonchan as Dipper does to Stan.
Cranidos: It’s a baby dinosaur, fossil, pokemon. I would say its more likely Dipper caught it post “Land before Swine” than that Ford gave it to him. We’ll say that Dipper caught the little dino that followed them home, instead of Stan taking it to Farmer Sprout when it caused trouble. I am giving him this pokemon because its hard headed and runs head first into battle. Dipper spends all of Gf running head first after any creature Ford wrote about (even the ones Ford said were super dangerous). Dipper also is the most hardheaded of any Pines. (If you don’t believe me re-watch episodes like Dipper vs. Manliness, Time Travelers Pig, and Scaryoke.).
Dipper (Mason) Pines team: Glaceon, Bonslie, Question Mark Unkown, Gastly, Tyrogun, and Cranidos. Glaceon, Bonslie, and Gastly came with him to GF. The Unkown, Tyrogun, and Cranidos are all pokemon he caught during the summer; its says how in their posts.
Soos Ramirez
Jolteon: Soos is a member of the Pines Family. He is Stan’s son, even if he was never legally adopted. So at one point growing up, he got an eevee from Stan. Jolteon fits him the best. He likes lightening and lazor’s. He knows how to work a fuse box and various electronics. Both him and Jolteon are good at retrieving things. Also I get the feeling he would like how pointy it is.
Aipom: Another pokemon I picked because it could probably help him out with his work around The Shack. It’s a very hand monkey, that could climb up to top shelf’s to get things for Soos (Since Stan does not allow ladders at the shack), and he could probably train it to use non-power tools.
Munchlax: Soos got an time wish of unlimited power for his birthday, and he used it to wish for a slice of infinite pizza. Munchlax is his snack buddy.
Beware and Pancham: Soos is a big old teddy bear/ panda bear; he says so himself on his and Melody’s first date. So I am giving him 2 bear Pokemon that reflect that. One fully evolved, and one that still has some evolving to do. The Pines need to have fighting pokemon, for all they get up to. These two are about the only ones Soos is not to sweet for.
Arcanine: It is listed as being one of the most loyal pokemon, and as we all know, there is no one more loyal than Soos
Soos’s team: Jolteon, Aipom, Munchlax, Beware, Pancham, Arcanine
Wendy Corduroy
Because Wendy is from a family of Lumberjacks I made all of her pokemon woodland creatures. Her team is also comprised mostly of ice/fighting/ and normal types, for obvious reasons
Leafeon: I wasn’t really sure about Giving her an eevee evolution while she’s clearly close friends with the Pines I am not sure if she would call them her family, or if any of them except Mabel would call her so (Dipper certainly does not see her as a sister/cousin, and Stan’s feelings with her are debatable). But then I remember that she was close enough to the Pines that when her Summerween plans were a bust she went to the Shack and joinned the family for movies and jack-o-melons. That’s enough for me. Leafeon is my favorite eevelution, its woodland appearance and chill nature compliments Wendy, and its the same gen as Glaceon, so that kinda shows her and Dippers friendship.
Komala: Chosen for much many of the same reasons Leafeon was. It is a fuzzy, woodland koala, that’s general disposition is chill and lazy. It would likely be down to sneak away and chill on the roof with Wendy.
Abomasnow and Cubchoo: Here is ice-bag Wendy’s ice type pokemon. I gave her two since she has that much practice remaining calm under pressure. Abomasnow is also a grass type (it’s a big snowy yeti/tree thing), and I put it as fully evolved because Wendy is such a skilled woods-women... which meant I also needed to pick a first evolution for Wendy’s second ice type. Cubchoo will one day evolve into a huge polar bear, who’s level of terror could rival Ursaring (which I headcannon is one of Manly Dan’s pokemon) but right now its this cute, little, sniffling cub, that’s appearance kinda reminds me of some of Wendy’s stuffed animals.
Braixen and a Gargalian Farfetch: Here are her two fighting types. Once again she has two because she is such a strong and skilled fighter. I picked Braixen; partly because its in the middle of its evolution line which is I felt was an okay metaphor for Wendy being a teenager; and partly because its pretty, tough, and has an attitude. Just like Wendy. The Gargalian Farfetch (regular ones aren’t fighting type) I picked because it doesn’t really look so tough, till it brings out its giant stick and start’s swinging. Like with Wendy, it’s a mistake to judge this skinny, short, bird by looks alone.
Wendy’s team: Leafeon, Komala, Abomasnow, Cubchoo, Braixen, Gargalian Farfetch.
Fiddleford Hadron Mcgucket
Flareon: Chosen for its destructive power and because, after Mcgucket went mad and had to live in the dump, a fire poekmon could have helped him keep warm/cook food. Like Soos Mcgucket is pretty much family. He and Ford were cannoly each others lifeline in college and friends off and on for many years afterwards (Stanford was the password to Mcguckets prototype laptop). Mcgucket also became close with the twins during “the society of blind eye:” episode. Ford gave him an Eevee in college, and Mcgcket eventually evolved it into a flareon.
Aurorus: a dino pokemon he got while on an excavation with Ford during the time they worked together in gravity falls. I picked it specifically because its design reminded me of Mcguckets robotic gobblewonker
Zigzagoon and Totadile: because in the show a raccoon and baby gator were two animals that lived with Mcgucket in the junkyard.
Rotom: This is the closest thing I could find to a digital/computer based electric pokemon. It’s also part ghost; so maybe it could also represent parts of his intelligence/personality that the memory guns weren’t able to take away.
Celesteela: It’s a giant, destructive, steel robot. Enough said
Fiddleford Mcgucket’s team: Flareon, Aurrus, Zigzagoon, Totadie, Rotom, Celesteela. This is by far the most OP team of Pokemon I have made. But Fiddleford, the homeless man who can make giant battling doom-bots in a days time, is honestly a really Op character, and would honestly have to have a really OP team.
Note these are all the characters I consider the most important in the show (the Pines Family and their closest friends), and so they are the ones who’s characters felt explored enough for me to make a team of six for. I put other important characters below: the other three members of the prophecy plus Candy and Grenda, but as they had less character their teams will be smaller
Robbie Valentino
Loudred: Robbie thinks of himself as a musician, and is into loud heavy music.
Spinarack: his thing, other than being a moody “ dark, emo-goth” teenager, is that he is kind of a creep. He also has a pet tarantula. So I am giving him a creepy little spider
Shuppet: Because it is drawn to people dealing with negative emotions; and Robbie is again a moody “dark, emo-goth” teenager. I gave Amity one too on my The Owl House character list. Granted Amity deals with a tense, oppressive home life; and Robbie is the way he s mostly because of chemicals in his head (teenager). But Shuppets are not picky about causes of those feelings. In the anime Max befriend one after a fight with May.
Robbie’s team: Loudred, Spinrack, Shuppet
Gideon Gleeful:
Morpoke: He is shown to have a pet guinea pig, and this is the closest pokemon I could find to one. I also wanted him to have something small and adorable to use as a mascot, since that is his selling point as a performer.
Starmie: He gets a star pokemon partially because that’s his symbol on the prophecy wheel, and also because in season 1 he was the towns local celebrity.
Kadabra: Sabrina used one against Ash when they battled, and Sabrina and Gideon are pretty similar.
Gideon’s team: Morepoke, Starmie, Kadabra
In the show Gideons personality is in part due to the stress and power that being a child star bring him. But, It’s also because that amulet he found after reading Journal #2 is revealed, in Journal #3, to corrupt your soul and whiten your hair, if you experience prolonged exposure. Because Gideon did not have Journal #3, he did not know it was so dangerous and wore it around his neck. In this I am gonna say he acquired pokemon that were to powerful, to young, and they (particularly Kadabra) control him more than the other way around. Post show his new uncles (the prisoners) help him get to where he can better handle his pokemon and that helps him change for the better
Pacifica Northwest:
She was the hardest one of these three. She loves fashion and appearance more than anything, so you know she would only want pokemon that were considered the most beautiful. But she isn’t really experienced/mature enough for a milotic, would probably not like febass (they are kinda ugly), and I doubt her parents would allow her to have a beautifly or pikachu, because “eww bug and rodent. Here is what I eventually found for her”
Carbink: Gems, particularly Diamonds, are Pacifica’s favorite accessory. So its fitting that she would want this little diamond pokemon, to carry around and lords its shininess/beauty over people.
Galgarian Ponyta: according to the database this Unicorn is a bit more judgy and has potentially more mean girl energy, than a regular ponyta. So its less suited for Mabel, but more so towards Pacifica. Which also shows their rivalry given that Galgarian pokemon are more rare/exotic. Pacifica has a lot of the same interests and style as Mabel (They both love golf and parties. They dressed similarly to Pioneer Day and wore similar colored gowns to the Northwest Party), but because Pacifica is rich she has a lot of expensive and designer things, to Mabels more homemade, generic things, and hates that Mabel does not envy her. Pacifica probably isn’t close/friends with her ponyta though. I imagine that throughout the shows runs she has servants taking care of it, and only acknowledges it when she wants to make a fab entrance to a place she is going. This would change post show when she loses her servants and has to start caring for her pokemon herself.
Glameow: I do not think she had this one in the series. The show ended with the Northwest family losing all their money, and Alex tweeted that after the show Pacifica had to get a job and start working for things she wanted. Specifically she got a waitress job at Greasy Sai’s dinner. I like that she did that because then she will be spending days with Lazy Susan, who is a very sweet women, and would be a good influence for Pacifica and the changes she wants to make on herself. Since Lazy Susan raises cats, I like to imagine after she saw how lonely this girl is, and that she was trying to be a better person, she let her take home one of her kittens for a new friend. Pacifica chose Glameow. It’s the closest pokemon to Pacifica, since it did not know her before, and never had a more negative assessment of her.
Pacifica’s Team: carbink, Galgarian Ponyta, Glameow
Candy and Grenda
Okay I was originally just gonna pt the characters on the Prophecy wheel, But that excluded Candy and Grenda and I did not like that, so I had to Add them. I am giving both of them two pokemon (their main purpose in the show was to be Mabel’s friends). Also to show sisterhood between the three girls I am giving each of them a feminine, love based pokemon; because when they had sleep overs they explored femininity and romance together. Mabel’s feminine love pokemon was again luvdisc
Grenda Grendinator
Smoochum: Her feminine/love based one. I have heard some people are not that fond of Smoochum (because of controversy around Jinx/ human shaped pokemon. ) I want to go on reccord by saying i do not think Jinx’s design is okay and I would not consider Smoochum if it did not look very different (less human more penguin/tee-key thing) than it’s evolution, and everstones were not a thing. But I think its a pretty good fit for her Grenda. Like her it has a different body shape, is cute, flirty, and confident.
Kecleon: Grenda had a pet iguana in the show, and this iguana pokemon looked the most similar
Candy chiu
Spritzee: Her feminine/love based pokemon. Spritzee admits a perfume like fragrence where it flys and that is something I cold see Candy (who reminder was most curious about if a unicorn’s neck would taste like ice cream when licked) would love.
Oshwatt. This little otter has a shell that is a stylish accessory, a battle weapon, and a comfort item. Basically the shell is an “improvement of pokemon”.

The hexside gang as pokemon trainers
I have been getting back into pokemon lately, and (possibly since I already looked up/ explored palisman with every single character) I have recently been fixated on what pokemon would be on the kids in the owl houses team if they were pokemon trainers. I did a post before with several of the secondary character. Here is the main kids.
Luz Noceda
Luz was and easy on to create a pokemon team for. For one, like Boscha, she is an animal lover, and we have a pretty good idea as to what her favorites are. Also the show gave traits of her character a lot of focus and I can easily pick out and translate them into Pokemon
Solrock. Luz’s name means light, the Light gliph was her first gliph (and her only one in 1a), and her defining trait has always been having an lighthearted and optimistic attitude. So of course Solrock would be on her team, probably her starter.
Secondly she would have a HootHoot (representing Owlbert); so actually it would be Eda’s HootHoot. But, remember how that before her egg hatched Eda frequently allowed Luz to use her staff, and Owlbert spent a lot of time helping watch over Luz? This HootHoot would do the same.
Now going into Luz’s being an animal lover. In the show she has a large fondness for Snakes, Bat’s, and Otters. So with that in mind I am going to give her a Dratini as her snake. It will also be her strongest pokemon, and looks a fair bit like String bean, a Golbat to be her areal aid (every protagonist needs eyes in the sky), and a Buizel.
Lastly to complete her team, represent Luz’s desire to chose her own path, and represent Stringbean in ideology while Dratini represents them in looks, Luz’s final pokemon would be a Shiny Ditto that she hatched from an egg. She found the egg with Eda, cared for the egg with Camila, and I found ways to link it too Vee and Hunter (Vee has a regular ditto, Hunter’s link is below) so it represents basically all her family relationships.
Luz’s team: Solrock, Hoothoot (borrowed frequently from Eda), Dratini, Golbat, Buizel, and Shiny Ditto. She wants to be a Pokemon Master like Ash.
Amity Blight
First she would of course have a Muk. It would totally have been her starter, and it would still be her strongest pokemon to date. I think Alador would have given her a baby Grimer when she started getting really into abominations, and it would have been a true companion to her during the times when she didn’t really have any friends she chose herself, and her family were all growing estranged from each other.
Secondly she has a shuppet. Amity would want a ghost pokmon, given that her style is kinda goth/punk. Shuppets seek out people dealing with a lot of negative emotions and absorb them. One easily could have latched on to Amity in her early days, and is another pokemon she would have kept for companionship during her loneliest times.
A letter “A” Unknown: Amity’s love of books, and literature, and phrases is a big part of her character. She is totally the type who would find and catch an Unknown while archiving files or reading to kids at the library.
An Alolan Persian. Representing Ghost. A persian instead of a meowth because I think Amity is a strong enough trainer to have a persian. Alolan because I gave Matty an Alolan pokemon on my secondary characters list and wanted to give one to a more prominent character too. Both Matty and Amity are Tusundere characters, and we have some scenes that hint that, in a longer show, these two could have been really good friends. So they can have the connection of both training Alolan pokemon.
In season 2 we see Amity start to change her style to be less her mother’s taste and more her own. She seems to like wearing Moon symbols and going out at night. So for that I will give her a Lunatone. This also connects to Luz’s Solrock, Luz and Amity are the Sun and the Moon to each other, and the pair would totally use Lunatone and Solrock to fight in team battles.
Finishing off her team Amity still needs a water pokemon. She is voiced by Mae Whitman, and as the series progressed the show capitalized on Ms.Whitman being known as Katara’s voice actress, by making Amity’s style of Abomination magic more similar to water bending. Amity also still needs a hard hitting pokemon, prefably one that wears mittens/gloves, because her brawler alias is “The Mighty Mittens”... So her last pokemon shall be a pollywhirl to fulfill both.
Amity Blight’s team: Muk, Shuppet, Letter “A” Unkown, Alolan Persian, Lunatone, Pollywhirl. She is a pokemon trainer Like Luz. Her mom probably puts a lot of pressure on her to join one of the big money organizations, like team Rocket or Team Magma etc.. Amity’s fight is that she wants to chose the training/battle path for herself and her pokemon.
Willow Park
Willow was by far the easiest owl house character to design a team for because she would obviously favor grass types.
the first grass type (Willow’s starter) would have would be a Ivysaur. Can’t go wrong with a classic, especially when its one as mighty and powerful as the baulbasaur line. I am placing hers at its second evolution both show all the work she would put into training it, and how far she could go with it. (Little extra info: on my secondary characters team I gave Boshca a Charmealon, and I like to think the pair’s pokemon have a rivalry too).
After Ivysaur I picked three other grass pokemon that all resembled different types of plant life. My picks were Weapinbell, Cacturn, and Cradlily. Cradlily also has a connection to Hunter since I gave them both fossil pokemon.
Then I had to give her a Beedrill because of Clover
Lastly even though grass pokemon would be her favorite type, I did want to give her one water type pokemon, because watering plants is an important part of botany. I picked Marel because its pudgy and cute like Willow
Willow’s team are Ivysaur, Weepinbell, Cacturn, Cradlilly, Beedrill, and Marel. Look Willow would clearly be a gym leader at a grass gym. Her four grass type are who she uses to battle challenging trainers. But her gym probably has a greenhouse/garden out back and that’s where Beedrill and Marel live. They help her garden.
Gus Porter
So I am thinking that illusion magic would translate best into certain types of psychic pokemon, so that is what I based his team on.
Two psychic types I found that have ability's similar to illusion acts Gus has done are Stantler (one stantler can create an illusion of a whole herd) and Drowzee (its dream powers and Gus’s mindscape projection trick...). Then Gus would have a Mime Junior because it is small, theatrics, and adorable, just like him. Next speaking of pokemon that were also owned by team rocket, Gus said (quite proudly) once that he comes from a long line of dweebuses. So it is only right to give him the most lovable dweeb of a pokemon of all time: Wobbuffet
For a powerhouse on his team I really wanted Gus to have a psychic/Fighting type. He is a tough fighter. So I went with Slowbrow (also its a lizard so I can say it represents Emmeline)
Lastly I am giving him a Geodude. Matt’s team has an alolan geodude on my other list. I wanted to do some kinda link with the boys, and finally just decided that after getting to know Matt’s pokemon, and then seeing a wild geodude the graveyard or somewhere, Gus caught it and now he and Matt train theirs together.
Oh one more things real quick: I debated back and forth over switching Gus’s Stantler out with a Girafarig, but ultimately when i read its stat’s and abilities it seemed like a pokemon that would be more inline with someone from the Oracle track than an illusionist. Maybe Gus’s father has one.
Gus’s team are Stantler, Drowzee,Mime Junior, Wobbuffet, and Geodude. Like with Willow I see Gus becoming a Psychic pokemon Gym Leader one day (Let’s have him overthrow Gray)
Hunter Wittebane/Demmone
Okay here we go. So I spent days searching the web for a cardinal pokemon. Fletchinder was the closest thing I could find, so Hunter’s first pokemon is a Fletchinder. Next up Hunter likes wolves, so I am giving him a Poochyena since it looks so realistic to a real wolf (and a lot like the ones one hunters shirt). I am giving him a pup because this is a relatively new interest and it needs nurturing
Then he would have two fighting types since marital arts and combat skills were how he fought/protected himself without magic. I also will do one in baby form (because Hunter is still a child), and one fully evolved (because Hunter is such a practiced and skilled martial artist). I am thinking Hitmonlee and a Riolu. Both those are martial art style fighters, and move in ways sorta similar to Hunter
Then he Has a Shiny Kaputops. like him it comes from a fossil, and Shiny ones have golden armor (like the golden guard). I also am drawing links to his relationship with Luz (the two trainers I gave shines to) and Willow (Both have fossil pokemon).
Rounding out his team is an Absol. Because of Absol’s lore and legacy: appearing in disasters, some see it as a bringer of disaster and a bad pokemon. In truth it’s good and will help in disasters if possible.
P.S. So I originally made this list before Watching and Dreaming came out. When I saw Waffles at the end I really wanted to give Hunter a Taillow, to represent her too. The only thing is though, Hunter cannot have more than 6 pokemon on his team. I tried to rationalize replacing one of his fighting pokemon away, or the Poochyena, but I couldn’t. I still consider my reasons for giving him the two fighting types valid. And I cannot take Poochyena away after watching Hunter get so excited to talk to his new dad and uncle about wolves. Waffles was picked to be a a sister to flapjack, and to spiritually continue hunters journey. So with all that in mind I could only see Hunter getting a Taillow after mourning Fletchinder if it died saving him, the same way Flapjack did. Fletchinder would have been just as loved, and just as missed.
Hunter’s team are Fletchinder, Poochyena, Hitmonlee, Riolu, a Shiny Kaputos, and Absol, Taillow I am going to say that Hunter starts out working high up in Team Rocket or one of the Pokemon Poacher Groups. Then, after finding the strength to leave, he joins the Pokemon Rangers, who protect wild pokemon from those who would do them harm

The Owl House secondary characters as Pokemon Trainers
I have been getting back into pokemon lately, and (possibly since I already looked up/ explored palisman with every single character) I have recently been fixated on what pokemon would be on the kids in the owl houses team if they were pokemon trainers. I started with some of the secondary characters because I reasoned that hey would be easier at first and setting up their teams would be good practice for making the main 5 kids teams. After spending the better part of a week I have done nine different teams. Here are teams for some of the owl house’s best secondary characters
Boshca
Boshca was actually really easy in part because I got this idea while on her page, and also partly because, while she doesn’t get along to well with people, the show has made variuos hints throughout the 3 seasons that she is an animal lover (duel track potions&beast keeping Boshca).
3 animals Boshca is shown to have an affinity for are: Ratworms, Pixies, and crabs (Maya). So I am going to turn those into an Arboc, a Cleffa, and a Crabby. Headcannon that Arboc evolved pretty easy for her, Cleffa will evolve when she learns some more about friendship, and she used an everstone on Crabby so it would always stay small enough for her to carry around.
Next like I said I was on her page when I got this idea so I want to credit @notcale who posted that Boshca would have a fire/fighting type mix team. They gave her some High-powered pokemon like Charizard and Blazikun, that I agree she would want, but I do not think is ready to handle. So for now I am going to give her a Charmeleon and Combustion. These are her teams powerhouses. Also I am going to say that Charmander was her starter and her Charmeleon has a rivalry with Willow’s Ivysaur.
Her sixth pokemon is a Gloom. She comes from a potion family, and its a pokemon that I remember was popular among potion makers. She caught the gloom because it reminded her of helping her moms out at their center.
Bosca’s team: Arboc, Cleffa, Crabby, Charemeleon, Combustion, Gloom. I think she would be more likely to become a pokemon coordinator than a gym battler (more showing off) and she totally taught all her pokemon to play Grudgby as both a training exercise and a first killer first round performance.
Skara
Skara is tied with Steve with begin my favorite minor character, and I really wish she had more screen time. I wasn’t sure at first if she had enough characteristics to make a team out of.
Her 15th birthday party had real butterfly invitations and her palisman is a red and grey cricket. This tells me she is a little fancy and likes bugs, so I am going to give her a Heracross, a kiricketot, and a beautifly.
She is also a bard student which probably means she likes music. (We’ve never seen her with an instrument in show verse, but Dana has drawn pictures of her with some kind of recorder or flute.) So I will also give her a chimecho, a jigglypuff, and a Loudred.
Skara’s team: Heracross, Kiricketot, beautifly, chimecho, jigglypuff, and Loudred. Some things I have noticed about Skara is that she is really strategic, but also is pretty clumsy. So I headcannon that she would originally want to be a pokemon performer, but she would get tripped up a lot at first. She got into contests when she thought she didn’t have what it took to be a top performer. But I also like to think she would eventually go back to competing in performances once her and her teams skills improved. Maybe like Serena Skara would decide to do both.
Matt Tholomule
A here’s the shows resident gremlin dork. He is fun to watch in episodes and was actually one of the most fun to make team.
Since his base track is construction I am giving him a Doutrio and an Alolan Geodude. Specifically an Alolan gGeodude because it looks like a regular geodude with drawn on eyebrows and facial hair, and we all remember “Man-Thoulomule”. These were his first two pokemon. We’ll say that he was paid for one of his odd jobs with a diglet egg, And he took the Geodude from some con he helped once. The con wasn’t treating it well, and when Matt said he would report the con’s dealings if They did not give him Geodude they called it useless and said Matt could have it.
Next he has a Sandshrew and a Evee. These two he caught. Specifically because they are baby versions of two of his brother Steve’s pokemon, Sandslash and Unmbreon. Since Matt admires Steve so much he wants to raise and train some of the same pokemon Steve has (Note in this Au verse the Emporor’s coven would be team rocket, and Steve is probably someone very similar to James. Unlike James he eventually leaves team rockett,) Also headcannon that while Matt originally caught Evee hoping to evolve it into an Umbreon like Steve’s, it doesn’t evolve until he starts getting into illuison magic as well, and (happy surprise) it instead evolves into an Espeon. Matt loves it and shows it off to Steve once he comes back home. Steve teases Matt some for having such a cute, pink pokemon (they are brothers after all), but also makes it clear does actually think its a cool fit for Matt.
Next up in Matt’s team is a Radicate; sorry no story for this one. I just wanted to give him a big, scruffy, rat. Lastly the most powerful pokemon on Matt’s team is a Mimikyu. I will acknowledge that that is a pretty high level pokemon for him. Well say its the last to join his team, and it probably has given him a few nightmares. But I think Matt would ultimately be a really good trainer for Mimikyu (much like Jessie was). Since both have dealt with lots of insecurities, and attempts to fit in by pretending to be something they aren’t.
Matt Tholomule’s team: Doutrio, Alolan Geodude, Shandshrew, Evee (later evolves into Espeon), Raticate, and Mimikyu. I am also going to copy Brock a bit and say that Matt tried out gym battling and would boast about how he was going to one day become a top battler, or all powerful gym leader, but his heart was never really in it. He eventually decides to become a pokemon breeder, which is what he and his team are happiest as.
Vee Noceda
I wasn’t gonna do Vee at first because she only ever got small bits of character that I did not think would be enough. But after I did the others I decided to try to use Vee’s character bits to make a team, to see if I could.
Mylotic:Vee’s strongest pokemon. She needs a serpent to represent a basilisk fourm
Delibrd: Vee mentions liking birds in a letter to Camilia, and a running gag with her that has been present since Reaching out is how much she loves writing and leaving sticky notes. So a messenger bird is definitely something she would want.
Ditto: A pretty obvous one since it is a shapeshifter. Also the team I made for Luz has a Shiny Dido on it. So if I give Vee a regular Dido then the sisters can share being ditto trainers.
Hapiney: the baby of her group. Some art by Dana hints that Camilia has been teaching Vee first aid, and she has also started working through healing from her own trauma since moving in with Camilia, So i wanted to give her a baby healing pokemon to show these.
Alcremie (Berry, Vanilla) :Changed from Leafeon after I rewatched Vee’s character and noticed how often she is depicted to both enjoy and be a knowledgeable cook. I am not sure what Vee’s favorite flavors are, but the pokedex said that the Vanillia Cream one needs some time to develop trust in those around them, but once it does trust you it loves to feed you treat. That sounds like Vee. I also decided to give her the berry sweet one because blueberries are an earth treat that are used in many recipies
Pumpkaboo: because it matches the pumpkin on her sweater. Like I said I am using small stuff for some of them.
Vee Noceda’s Team: Mylotic, Delbird, Dido, Hapiney, Alcremie (Berry, Vanillia), Pumpkaboo. I definitely see her as aiming to become a pokemon breeder.
Edric and Emira Blight
I am only giving the twins four pokemon each, instead of six, as they (particularly Emira) did not get enough character development for me to use for a team of six pokemon
Edric’s team consists of a Butterfree (his would be butterfly palisman), a Gallade (representing the Illusion track. Fully evoved because Illusion alone was so easy for him) a Gligar (this would be his beast track pokemon, picked due to his intrest in that track taking off after him getting Batric), and a paras (representing potions track).
Emira’s team consists of a Masquerain (her would be moth palisman), a Gardevoir (representing the illusion track. Fully evolved because illusion alone was so easy for her), a Chancey (Helps her learn healing, and look out for Ed and Amity), and lastly a Piplup (Dawn’s helped her manage her hair in the morning, something reaching out shows Emira also has trouble with... I debated cutting it from her team since she winds up just cutting her hair off. But well Em’s other three are sweet and she could use a pokemon that is not afraid to give attitude when others try to mess with her team).
The twins used to battle a lot in Tag team battles. They still do that together as a side thing. But now also have their own pokemon assistant jobs that. Edric is an assistant to a pokemon Perfessor at a lab, and Emira is an assistant medic at a clinic.
Viney
Blissy: So was originally a healing student, and even when she starts duel tracking with beast keeping in season 2 she is still known as "the best healer in school". I already gave hapinny and chancy to Vee and Emira respectively, so due her increased skills at healing viney gets a Blissy.
Fearrow and Litleo: So Viney's most iconic companion is Puddles, her baby Griffian. Griffians are a mix of being a large bird, and a lion. It is important to note that Griffians are also predators. With these in mind I picked a Ferrow (the more aggressive version of Pigeoto,a s Puddles was aggressive and Viney was still working on training her) and Litleo for her. Litleo can also represent her manticor palisman, since it was mostly a lion. (Litleo is unevolved partially to keep her team from being to Op, but mostly so I do not have to chose a gender for it).
Seadra: So I really wanted to give Viney a good water type (She strikes me as someone who likes being by the water). I thought about doing a Gayrodoes or Huntail so I could still get in the serpant part of a maticore, but those didn't really work. Viney is still new at Beast keeping (again she takes car of and works with Baby animals) so a Gayrodoes could still be kinda much for her. Also let's be honest Huntail is really lame and Viney deserves something better. The water line I kept coming back to was the Horsea line, and the pokemon was Seadra. A strong line, and a mid level one Viney could work with during the show time. It's toxiens can also have some healing effects if used rightly , whoch Viney would learn quick. Lastly by the time the epilogue came around she would have a super strong water/dragon type.
Viney's Team: Blissy, Fearrow, Litleo, Seadra
note I also really wanted to give Viney a bug type. Anyone have any idea as to which one she could be a good trainer for.
Jerbo
Jerbo gets one less pokemon than Viney because his character was used a little less than her.
Exeggutor: Plant was his first track, and given that he likes to make plants grow legs and get up and walk, I am calling Exeggutor as the perfect duel grass type for him.
Grimer: abomination is his second track once he starts doing multracking. So since he is new to it I will give him a grimer instead of a muk.
Boltund: Jerbo has a unicorn-dog as a palisman so first i looked up if there was a fairy-type dog pokemon...there was two: snubble and fidough neither of which really worked for Jerbo. So I changed my tune. Whatever dog Jerbo's palisman is its tall and lean, with a long face, so I looked for dog pokemon that were shaped like that. I found boltund. That's a good boy dog, and with how inventive Jerbo is he deserves a strong electric type.
Jerbo's team: Exeggutor, Grimer, Boltund.

Anne, Sasha, and Marcy as Pokemon Trainers
.
So apparently my new favorite thing is to take story based family cartoons and turn all the characters into Pokemon trainers. I have already done 2 posts for The Owl House, Gravity falls has a post saved in my drafts, and I have plans for multiple other cartoons. The Owl house just ended, and that has sme poeple talking about Amphibia to again (I know the endings were different, I am not gonna say which ending was better. One show was about the hardships of growing up, one show was about the importance of finding a supportive community). But I figured now was as god as any time to do my Amphibia trio as trainers post. I am only making Anne, Sasha, and Marcy pokemon trainers. The amphibious characters I am using as inspirations for their teams.
ANNE BOONCHUY”S TEAM:
Froakie: It’s a tough little Frog pokemon, and I picked it to represent Anne’s bonds with the Planters and the Frog citizens of Amphibia.
Torracat: Anne loves her cat Domino more than almost anything in the world. When she first tells Sprig and Polly about Domino she states “You would like her. She has fire”. So I had to give her a fire-type cat pokemon. I chose the second evolution of Litten’s line because Anne has a;ready invested so much time into raising and training Domino, that I feel like she would have already evolved the first time.
A western Gastrodon: I picked this one for a couple reasons. 1.) I really wanted to give Anne a sea based water-type because she mentions that loves the aquarium in her home town and goes there whenever she feels sad. Also while I know a sea slug and a garden snail are not the same thing, Gastrodon still reminded me a bit of Bessie. I went with its Western apparence because it is blue, Anne’s calamity color
Ambipom: Since Tennis is Anne’s sport I tired to find a tennis based pokemon that she could train/play with. There is not any pokemon that are tennis based. So after looking and finding nothing I decided to instead give Anne an Ambipom. She could teach one to play tennis with her. It stands upright and has two gloved hands on its twin tails for holding and swinging a racket.
Honedge and Bronzo: Honedge is a single bade which is the weapon Anne learns to wield during her time on Amphibia. Bronzo is a shield and representative of Anne’s protective nature for towards her friends and her willingness to leap to the defense of those in need
Anne’s team: Froakie, Torracat, Western Gastrodon, Ambipom, Honedge, Bronzo
SASHA WAYBRIGHT”S TEAM
Crogunk: its a fighting toad, and represents Sasha’s bond with Grime and the Toad citizens of Amphibia.
Doublade: Sasha learns to wield dual blades during her time in Amphibia
Pom-Pom style Oricorio: Surprise, surprise there actually is a cheer leading based pokemon. Well actually its 1 pokemon with 4 different styles based on what color flower nectar it is fed. Cheer leading Pom-Pom style is flying and electric, and is maintained by giving it nectar from yellow flowers. I imagine that is what Sasha would feed hers.
Hitmontop and Braixen: So when Sasha creates a introduction title for herself, after hearing General Yuana’s many times, she recounts that she is “Captian of the cheer squad, top scorer on the arcades dance game, and 1st lieutenant of Grimes Army”. She seems equally as proud of her dance skills as she is of her fighting skills, so I gave her two fighting type pokemon that also have moves when it comes to dance
Houndour: okay Sasha is really protective of her loved ones too, but unlike Anne she is a lot more forceful and alpha type. So instead of a shield she gets an alpha guard dog... I also wanted to give her a dog because she cannonly struggles with going back and forth between her parents houses, and according to Matt was just starting to realize her bisexuality during the shows original run and that realization was scaring her. the girl is going through a lot and I feel she needs something furry to pet/hug.
Sasha’s team: Crogunk, Doublade, Pom-pom style Oricorio, Hitmontop, Braixen, Houndour
MARCY WU’S TEAM
Marcy was actually the hardest of the three girls to chose a team for, and I had to change and eliminate some pokemon I had originally picked out for her, but I eventually buit a team that I am satisfied properly represents Marcy’s character
Treeko: It’s a Newt and reprasentative of Marcy’s bonds with Yuana, and lady Olivia and the Newt citizens of Amphibia
Decidueye: I looked for a bow and arrow or crossbow pokemon but no. Deidueye as the only archer pokemon I could find. it’s high level but since Marcy is both the most strategic and researched of the group, as well as an experianced battler I could see her being able to level it up fast. Still after giving her Decidueye I had to take pigeot (Joe Sparrow) off her list.
Ledyba: Marcy has a notable interest in bugs in the show (ants, spiders, ladybugs, and beetles). I looked at the pokemon counterparts and I picked Ledyba because it looked liked the one that was the least likely to injury her while training.
Lampent: she is good a architecture and public lighting.
Rotom: closest thing I could find to an electrical/ computer based pokemon
Klefki: she wants to go to new and unknown areas to adventure. I did not want to give her an unknown, because I have already given it to a couple other nerd characters and they’re supposed to be rare. So instead I am giving her klefki to unlock new doorways to hidden adventure. plus its a fairy type which appeals to Macy being a fantasy nerd.
Marcy’s team: treekco, Deidueye, Ledyba, Lampen, Rotom, and Klefki.
