Been playing Hades again the past couple days, since there was more Hades 2 news released and it reminded me that I still had a ways to go in the game, and I don’t think I ever explained to everyone my demented strategy for consistently beating Hades:
-equip Athena’s keepsake and head out. Grab a boon from her.
-before heading into Asphodel, equip Demeter’s keepsake. Grab a boon from her.
-in Elysium, try to find Patrochilles to restore all my used Death Defiances
-keep looking for boons from Athena and Demeter until I can get their duo boon, which restores health whenever you have no uses of Death Defiance left
-equip Skelly’s keepsake before going to the surface
-get my ass beat fighting Hades
-if I don’t get the duo boon, Hades kills me when he has only about 1/4th of his health left in his second form, which is infuriating.
-if I DO have the boon, get my ass beat until I have no Death Defiance left, at which point I will slowly start to heal and am guaranteed to win this war of attrition. Spend the rest of the fight doing chip damage and kiting him until I win. I don’t keep track of how long this takes and you should not want to know either. Achilles would be ashamed if he knew how I fought.
But I win.
