I can’t wait to see how crazy this will get! (Especially because I made sure to include some non-human options). I feel like I can guess the outcome knowing this site, but maybe I will be pleasantly surprised. Have fun and remember to pick wisely. Don’t do it to be ironic!

A Tale of One Hoax - Page 28 (The End)
This is it, folks! The last page. It's been a loooong ride, and there were times I thought I wouldn't finish it. Thanks to the readers who stuck with me for all these years, and new readers too! I hope you enjoyed the story! A special thanks to my co-author @peonychikh (formerly known as Anfidersio) for the support and fun all these years!

Stan is totally the type to become a (bigger) drama queen when he’s mildly sick.
He probably demands Dipper make him chicken soup to prevent Mabel from adding toys or glitter to it.
Dipper washes his hands 100 times, masks up, and still gets sick. Mabel does nothing and is fine.

I’m rewatching Gravity Falls, and seeing all the attempts Grunkle Stan made to get closer to the kids, while also pretending he doesn’t care makes me so sad 😭
Like episode one, Dipper was flipping through the Journal, and Stan asked him what he was reading to try and make conversation with him about his interests- not to mention the end of the episode, when he let the kids take something from the gift shop for free.
All of episode two he just wanted to go fishing with them, and have a bunch of fun with his family. And then now, in episode three, Mabel took the melted wax and built a statue that looked exactly like him, and he was so grateful and proud of her, that he reopened the wax museum, making sure to put her and her creation in the spotlight.
Yeah, he did come across as a vain asshole that’s so full of himself, he’d reopen an exhibit with himself as an attraction in it, but at the heart of it all, he just thought it was so cool that his great niece not only spent so much time building something with her bare hands for him, but the idea that she believed he was cool enough to base an entire art project off of him.
I’m pretty sure a gajillion people have noticed all this, and/or talked about it already, but I had to again for hyperfixation’s sake lol.

i love stan because it’s usually “he can do no wrong” with characters but no. he can do all the wrong he wants and i’ll still be cheering him on. i actually encourage it, please continue to commit tax fraud and make vaguely threatening hand gestures at cops. smuggle pugs or whatever your crusty heart desires.

NEW TO NOT S&P APPROVED!
The ultimate Mystery Shack button-down shirt!
A super-soft 65% recycled polyester button-up shirt, with an exclusive Mystery Shack pattern by Not S&P Approved - inspired by Grunkle Stan's own wardrobe. Available exclusively in a boxy, gender-neutral, super-relaxed fit. Made to order by our trusted partners.
Please be aware that these shirts are cut and sewn to order - this is more eco-friendly, reduces waste and keeps our quality high, but does take a while. Make sure you keep an eye on our processing time!
Don't like your shirts super baggy? Size down when ordering!
"Hey! Ya ever think, 'Man, all of these t-shirts are fine, but where's somethin' classy to dress in?' - I know I do whenever I'm out on the town (to pick up my prescription) - and I decided to answer your prayers. This is the work of at least eight hours Mabel-labour (paid in gummy worms) and sixteen hours Soos-labour (unpaid)… The Shack Special!
Covered in a custom woodsman check, this super-lightweight shirt features a design featuring some of the signs and sights of the Mystery Shack, and even features a 'forest view' inner yoke. Other folks might not be able to see it, but you'll know that, in your mind, you're in the rich-smelling Pines of Oregon. Probably eating a Mystery Dog and spending your hard-earned cash with me, your favourite Grunkle.
To make things that little bit sweeter, I've done my best to get this shirt some credentials. It's OEKO-TEX 100 Standard and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified, and is manufactured according to United Nations Global Compact Principles.
Now ya can't say fairer than that. Right? Right. Whadya waitin' for?!"
65% Recycled Polyester / Polyester blend
Cut & sew with allover sublimation print
Super-relaxed overshirt fit (please size down for a 'true fit')
Lightweight moisture-wicking fabric made by United Nations Global Compact companies
OEKO-Tex 100 Standard
GRS Certified
Please note that we can't accept returns on shirts that have been worn, in the interests of hygiene. We will be able to tell. We've got a literal pig on our product team.

So none of the humans in Gravity Falls noticed when Ford was replaced by his twin, which makes sense, he was a recluse in the woods who probably only infrequently came into town for coffee or groceries. And also a secret mind-wiping cult was on the loose.
But as reclusive as he was around the humans, he got VERY social with the local supernatural entities. He raised a shapeshifter, he kept a gnome in a cage, he yelled at Steve with a megaphone. The local paranormal community was probably very familiar with the excited six-fingered human who traipsed around the woods conducting interviews and taking notes.
So, what did they think when he suddenly vanished, to be replaced by a five-fingered con artist who completely ignored the supernatural entities and began bringing humans around the shack?
I propose this:
None of the supernatural entities realized that he's Ford's twin.
They assume that as part of Ford's studies, he summoned up his own evil doppelgänger, and it killed him and took over his life. As doppelgängers are wont to do.
Which makes Stan a member of the paranormal community in their eyes; but if he'd rather try to blend in among the humans, hey, that's his business. They just won't send him invites to the town's magical meet-ups. He is, after all, an EVIL doppelgänger.
