been re-listening to the foxhole court audiobook. do you guys pronounce palmetto like pal-metto or paul-metto ?

#pal-metto aka like calling someone your pal #i say paul-metto but the audiobook narrator said pal!!#i lived in a town with a popular street called palmetto and it was always pronounced paul but also im from the west coast/ca so i feel like #it makes sense to pronounce it paul. if that. makes sense to anyone okay #thanks for your answers :)

Pure Project + Ghost Town Brewing Serpents in the Bramble West Coast IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. Huge nose on this of berry, stone fruit, white wine, and a ton of other tropical notes, too. The body carries much the same with some herbal/resinous notes too. Incredibly hop profile and the body manages to be somewhat light in malt character and balances quite nicely. Simply excellent.

west coast birders: what do you consider our northern cardinal? like, there's blue/steller's jays, and eastern/spotted towhees, and red/yellow shafted flickers. but there's no western cardinal species. the closest equivalents i can think of are the black-headed grosbeak or the western tanager, but i'm curious if other ppl have birds they personally think of as "our cardinal"
