More details are emerging about Tyler Boebert’s arrest for a crime spree
The story around Tyler Boebert’s arrest just keeps getting worse.
Representative Lauren Boebert’s 18-year-old son allegedly made a sex tape with a minor, according to an affidavit following his arrest on Tuesday.
The younger Boebert was arrested over “a recent string of vehicle trespass and property thefts” in Rifle, a town in Colorado’s 3rd congressional district, which his mom currently represents, said police. He is facing 22 charges, including criminal possession of a financial device and criminal possession of ID documents.
But if that wasn’t bad enough, an arrest affidavit released by the Garfield County Clerk of Court noted Tyler “supposedly made a sex tape with” one of the other suspects, a female minor. That tape was reportedly sent around to people they knew. It’s not clear from the affidavit how old Boebert or the suspect were at the time they did so.
The four suspects involved are reportedly two female minors, one male minor, and the 18-year-old Boebert. ...
Can’t help wondering what the still-minor mother of his child thinks about all of this.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) recently announced that in April, she would become a 36-year-old grandmother after the birth of her teen son’s baby. Boebert has been blasting “comprehensive sex education” as inappropriate for kids and is now being ruthlessly mocked for her family’s continued inability to stave off teen pregnancy.
Boebert, herself, dropped out of high school when she got pregnant as a teen, and now her son is following in her footsteps.
Boebert’s announcement about her grandchild also included a dig at trans people.
“We are raising our four boys to be men before liberals teach them to be women,” she said before announcing that “not only am I a mom of four boys, but come April, I will be a Gigi to a brand new grandson.”
She then talked about how her son, Tyler, who is almost 18, joked it was “hereditary” since Boebert made her mother a 36-year-old grandma as well.
On top of it all, while speaking at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Boebert (R-CO) stated that public school students should be banned from learning sex-ed and about how LGBTQ+ people have sex.
“There are schools that are teaching worse than just gender ideology,” she said. “I mean they have comprehensive sex-ed. They’re teaching kids how to have and enjoy sex – and even same-sex sex.”
Boebert said no public school students should be learning these things and that schools that teach it should have their funding cut. She also claimed elementary school students were learning these things, though she offered no proof.
Twitter users ruthlessly mocked Boebert for her stance, considering she dropped out of high school when she became a teen mom. Now they are at it again, pointing out Boebert’s inability to notice the irony of her so-called conservative beliefs as she bragged about her growing family.

The son of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R.-Colo) was arrested Tuesday on more than 20 criminal charges in the latest incident of ongoing Boebert family issues.
Tyler Boebert, 18, was picked up Tuesday afternoon after a string of recent vehicle trespassing incidents and property thefts in the area, according to a social media post by the Rifle Police Department.
Jail records show he faces 22 counts altogether, five of which are felonies. The charges include criminal possession of ID documents with multiple victims, conspiracy to commit a felony, first degree criminal trespassing and theft.
"This is an ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time," the Rifle police said in the post.
Tyler Boebert was still in custody as of 9:45 a.m. Mountain Time Wednesday at a $8,250 bond, Garfield County Jail records showed. Rep. Boebert acknowledged the arrest in a statement Wednesday, saying he "should be held accountable for poor decisions."

Boebert is facing 22 charges in total, including five of which are felonies. Four of the felony counts are related to criminal possession of ID documents from multiple victims while the other charge is for conspiracy to commit a felony. Police say the more than 15 additional charges are for misdemeanor and petty offenses.
Others, unsurprisingly, made remarks regarding Tyler’s mother, who has long portrayed herself as a staunch proponent of family values and the rule of law.
“While this is funny on some levels, it’s sad because he’s a product of his environment,” user Al Bird said. “Honestly, those poor kids don’t have a chance.”
Lauren’s efforts to have President Joe Biden impeached for his son Hunter’s criminal past were also flagged.
“So when does the Boebert impeachment begin?” Bryan Farr asked. “Doesn’t having criminal children lead to impeachment these days?”
The arrest of Tyler is not the teen’s first run-in with the law. In 2022, Tyler crashed the family SUV into a creek bed and received a ticket for “careless driving causing bodily injury” after his friend was hurt.
Lauren’s ex-husband, Jayson, was also temporarily jailed earlier this month after threatening to harm himself and his former wife. Shortly before, Jayson accused Lauren of punching him in the face during a domestic dispute.
Lauren also made headlines last year for being kicked out of a theater after being caught on surveillance camera groping her date. Lauren went on to blame her date’s political leanings for the incident.

Lauren Boebert's son has gotten "attention he didn't ask for" because of who his mother is, and how she has presented herself to the public.
There are many, many young people going through difficult challenges because of who they are. Boebert has made their lives harder with her bigoted rhetoric. And of course, there are many, many young people who are now dead - and many, many more who are traumatized - because of gun violence, which Boebert has actively promoted.

Rep. Lauren Boebert revealed that her 17-year-old son Tyler is about to have a son in April, which will make her a grandmother at 36.
The Colorado Republican praised the high rural teen birth rates as she said it was evidence these communities "value life."
"I'm going to tell you all for the first time in a public setting that not only am I a mom of four boys but come April, I will be a 'gigi' to a brand new grandson," Boebert said while speaking Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) event earlier this week.
She said that she and her husband Jayson "are so excited to welcome this new life into our family."
Boebert dropped out of high school to have her first child when she was a teenager and later got her GED in 2020.
"Now my son, when I approached him and told him, 'Tyler, I'm going to be a 36-year-old grandmother,' he said, 'Well, didn't you make Granny a 36-year-old granny?'" Boebert said.
"I said, 'Yes, I did.' And he said, 'Well, then it's hereditary,'" she said jokingly.
The virulently anti-abortion Republican said that when she found out that her son's girlfriend was pregnant, her main concern was whether they would "choose life."
"There's something special about rural conservative communities — they value life. If you look at teen pregnancy rates throughout the nation, well, they're the same in rural and urban areas," Boebert said.
"However, abortion rates are higher in urban areas, and teen mom rates are higher in rural conservative areas because we understand the preciousness of the life that is about to be born."
Since 2007, the teen birth rate has dropped by about half nationwide and in urban counties, compared with falling by a little more than a third in rural counties, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, PBS reported.
Boebert said that she and her husband will do everything to support her son and girlfriend and "make sure that they are amazing parents, that they have the love and support that they need."
