Most appalling of all was the staff conversation across the servery l, immediately to my right - this was 9th September (my birthday) and the discussion was about how the number of customers should grow as a result of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passing, just the day before. “You wait until the Windsor lot come in” and “a great day to be a florist”.

Lovely review from some people who came into our restaurant and took offence to me saying to the chef "if the queen is the nation's grandmother, are we going to get an inheritance?" And talking about how it was a good thing I had bought flowers the day before to give to a friend who had had a miscarriage, as the florists were all selling out now
