this isnt an ask, but ive been in a horrible spot with art lately which has never happened to me before. its been really hard to navigate my relationship to it after a lot of things happened to me that were very intertwined with art, and its been hard trying to rediscover my place with it and rekindle that very necessary fire.

coming across your drawings has reminded me of why i love art at all, the amazing act of making things. every piece you make is so incredibly ambitious and unique from each other and beautifully executed and passion driven and clearly made by someone who has amazing visions that want to be shared with the world. things like that piece with engineer's eye and the eye of a storm. i love art as a medium of communication more than anything, to share the way i see things. your work paints such a vivid picture of tf2 and your headcanons and tells so much story in just one page. it has so much character, and its helped push me a little bit more towards recovery in my passions. TLDR your work is really good, keep it up

this is so sweet and pleasurable to hear thank you 😭❤️ some time ago i've been struggling with art myself and had to stop drawing for a while few times to just give myself a rest because i didn't like anything that i draw, but at the moment i'm in a very simple and someway honest relationship with it, i just draw to try something new(honestly i can talk forever about my own relationship with art but i won't do that here), a while ago i worried about how i draw mercs and how their faces are different in every piece, but now that doesn't really bothers me because my point in art is to always try doing different things/add something new in stuff that i already know how to make because i'm in a constant research and brainstorming myself everyday, and also i'm very happy when people notice the symbolism that i sometimes add in my drawings because for me different interpretation of symbolism is the most beautiful thing the human brain can do(besides all that math stuff im not really into it xd)

a long post on some of my tf2 oc (inspector) facts/lore/stuff etc if anyone wants to read because its late and im bored lol

the main premise i had thought about the inspectors job is that she is tasked with scoping the hard to search parts that the administrator cannot see. its true that the administrator sees all, including ways that arent observed by a camera obviously, lol

id always envisioned if the inspector was in the game that she would be involved in a sort of 1v1 mode where the player would have to stealthily (or just charging in there) get the intel without her finding (and. killing) the player. i know tf2 isnt a game exactly based on stealth, but it would be fun to figure out a way to capture the flag with someone who is absolutely trained to just get people

although in sort of the real lore of the game, the inspector will defend what work the administrator is doing behind the scenes of the gravel war more than hunting down mercenaries who are capturing the other team’s intel

the inspector used to work for a uk branch of red/blu as a spy, so being an inspector REALLY works out well when checking for spies

the inspector doesnt really like the spy all that much. ill leave it up to you why that is (just kidding will probably draw it out when i figure out more of inspector’s storyline)

the inspector doesnt really get to hang around the other mercenaries (being much like miss pauling and always having to tend to something), but when it does happen, often gets along with the demoman, heavy and engie

the inspector gets along with miss pauling really well! its hard for her to consider whether or not they are really friends or just getting along in the circumstances that they are in, but they will share a few short conversations with each other when they have the time about various topics

the inspector will be tasked with guarding sentries when engie is not working and/or when it’s night with engie, which leads her to fall asleep on his shoulder or on the sentry more times than she would like to admit. lol

despite seeming cold and almost robotic, the inspector does have hobbies! including listening to music, reading fashion magazines/gun catalogs and drawing

in the inspectors previous work, she loved dressing up when she was off work

the inspector has a habit of being almost too quiet, so freaks the mercenaries out when she just appears and starts talking to them about their work lmao

the inspector gets homesick at times and enjoys making a cuppa tea (☕️🧐🇬🇧) or having a full english breakfast

what ive seen of the kink scene online has a HUGE child porn problem. when i look up a given kink on deviantart way too many results (and deviantarts search doesnt follow an algorithm so this isnt my fault) is of like ash ketchum or luz noceda or cream the rabbit some other un-aged up child. also it can be done without this, but at the moment the entire institution of age progression/age regression kink that ive seen is FULL of child porn

although ill admit i could be wrong and this could just be a deviantart (where i mainly contain my horny activities) problem

Honestly I think this is like "a DeviantArt problem" and it's weird to say "the kink scene online" (which is such a broad term it's almost laughable tbh) has A Child Porn Problem because some people on DeviantArt draw Ash Ketchum vore or whatever. This is a common tactic people use to write off (especially queer) kink communities, to just go "see, look at all this Child Porn(tm)! This community is full of The Bad People!" There is nothing inherent about "kink communities" that makes people draw Sonic porn. I know you don't outright condemn all kink communities here, but I think this line of thinking, where you see a tiny fraction of a community localized entirely on DeviantArt and it grows to become your main interaction with that community, is a pretty direct pipeline to like. people on here who regularly conflate trans furries who draw inflation art or something with Oh So You're Literally Defending PEDOPHILES??? because they consider both to be "weird". Idk it's a slippery slope and I'd greatly suggest engaging with kinky people outside of what is essentially a 2016 "DeviantArt fetish cringe" reaction video

This is also if I'm being honest an extremely bizarre thing to send to a tf2 comedy blogger with no prior warning. People will do this from time to time and I cannot believe I have to say this but my anons are not my friends, you do not know me and I do not want to hear you talk about cartoon child porn, even in the context of condemning it. Just because you have a thought with the word "kink" in it does not mean that thought needs to be sent to me

A Vent. (TW for Existential Shit)

Today i have decided to try and pick up My TF2 Sketch celebrating the new Summer 2023 update. But i cant.

Doing the lineart for these projects makes my physically upset. And i cry with fear thinking that i will have to post this for you guys to see. Every tutorial i watch just tells me to devlop a skill which will add more time to my art progress. Adapting to new methods of art because i didnt learn like that from the start.

Every single reblog, every time i cant add my own doodles below like a real artist should, or every event that happens where i cant draw something for it makes me hurt deep down inside. Every single action involving art where it isnt good enough makes me not want to do it.

One day i dream of writing a sucessful comic with great art and story, all written and illustrated by me with a supportive fanbase. But i fear that if i wait too long the world will have no need for that. Things will evolve and times will change and i may never get that. If it takes 7 years for me to get good at art i will Be 2030, i will be 22 and i will be 2 years behind my expected schedule. Those are the kind of numbers that make my head spin. What if illustrated story basedcomic work has become obsolete? what if the guidelines become so strict that writing it may not even be worth it anymore? What if my fanbase doesnt want to interact with me or doesnt get excited over every new published chapter.

What if my future is something i cant predict or comprehend?

What am i supposed to do. It could all crumble to peices and go outside my expectations because i wanst fast enough. I wasnt as fast as everyone else.

deimos isnt really based off of anything, other than tf2 scout, but mostly i designed him based of how i think of him, hes this weird often quiet yet witty and snarky skinny dude in my mind and thats why i drew him like dat

sanford sorta just reminds me of like big mac from mlp, also he gives me very ex military dude vibes, so i made his splotches on his pants a lil military like, also COWFORD😈😈😈😈😈 thats why i made his bandana have the splotches too because i thought it was cute and its a reminder of cowford

hank is a tank, hes like this big strong dude whos really really violent and bold a bit and i like it, tried to replicate it. if he sounded like something he'd sound like the quandale dingle dude or whatev. he wears some kool boots, bro wearing fuckin size 19s everywhere he goes

2bdamned was like supposed to be based off alt fashion like punk rocker shit, but i just sorta wanted to make him look edgy, i hc he has a terrible case of morbid curiosity and can be very violent at times. he has spikes on his shoes and mask to make him look sorta intimidating even if i drew him really short

tricky is supposed to look hella zany, his inspo is based off of clowns yknow, classic pennywise is the best way to describe the style i gave em. his stupid tongue is hanging out of the hole in his mask and his jaw is always like limp and shit, he has some overgrown fingernails painted with the blood of his enemies and some crazy unkempt hair🤪🤪 he has puff bawls on his clown suit to make him look atleast a bit cute

auditor is based off of mafia bosses and vampires, i think its hella hella kewl

made jebus look like an old ass man, he prolly isnt that old in canon but i like to think he just is, hes very ruff looking, i forgot to draw his stupid halo a lil messed up cuz thats how i wanted to draw it but i didnt cuz im stupid. i hc the halo's light flickers sometimes and was overall sorta busted but when audi and tricky got ahold of it it was magically repaired! :D

sheriff is supposed to look like hes all that but really hes a scared coward loser, he wears a bit of makeup cuz SLAYYYYYY😝
