Crack AU where the entirety of Detroit : Become Human is just the plot of an afternoon playdate between the human child versions of Markus, Alice and Connor. The reason for why they have three diffrent plots is because they couldn't agree on what exactly to play. Kara INSISTED that she wanted to play something with her new doll, Alice. Connor being an overexcited 6 y/o just wanted to be a cool robot detective who's like super smart and super strong and looks really, really cool. Only god knows what had Markus deciding on what his character should be. Since they are only three kids they decided the most logical option is just playing each of what they wanted and switching between eachother. And taking the side (read : uninteresting) roles in the stories of the other. The only person involved in this madness that isn't switching characters like switching clothes is Connor's grandpa chaperoning the playdate, Hank. The reason for why he freaks out everytime Connor in dbh dies is because he just grows increasingly worried about his grandon's apparent love for dying (and the plot of this playdate in general)

thinking about connor enjoying music and making playlists. he rlly cares about them. he makes specific playlists for the ppl he loves - not only hank but also markus, who listens to it every single day, especially when he's painting

There is a steddie au stewing in my brain with more than one version of it.

Detroit Become human au where Steve is an android who was built to take care of children. He gets rented by families to watch over their kids for however long they paid for (by the hour). He especially gets attached to a smart group of kids who he regularly cares for (The Party). One day he's in Max's trailer when Neil and Billy Hargrove start arguing very loudly until Max is brought into the argument. The environment is hostile but Steve is told not to get in the way and to shut down in the corner (when shut down means he is done with service and will be sent to another person when ordered to). While this is happening he can sense the Max may be in danger and that she shouldn't be a witness this in the first place. Instead of doing what he was programmed to do (obey the orders of the buyer even if his primary purpose is to take care of children ) he interferes the conflict and takes Max to a different location (maybe an abandoned place or just Lucas' house idk). While Max is temporarily safe Steve goes out to get her food, water, clothes, and other essentials. While on his supply run he bumps into Eddie who recognizes the red ring on Steve's temple. Steve panics expecting to be reported for deviancy attacks Eddie. (Maybe Neil blames Steve for hitting Billy and kidnapping Max to the police) Eddie is able to push him off and pull out a pocket knife for self defense. When they both get a moment to breathe Eddie sees the blue liquid leaking from Steve. He's suspicious of androids but still wants to help him so he offers ro go back to his trailer. Steve replies instantly with a definite no. He proceeds to explain what happened and Eddie is surprised yet grateful the android got Max out of that situation. Eddie thinks that Steve is better than most people including himself who did nothing about the constant yelling that was heard. Steve on the other hand is glad that Eddie wants to help him and slightly surprised when he is treated like an actual person rather than just another machine. He also has a complex feeling about Eddie that he can't quite describe yet. Eddie hides him in the back of his van while going back to where Max was left sleeping. Eddie is in his head wondering how far he will go to help the pretty android in his van while he drives.
