If were going lace compliant, were Elros and Elrond always horny or did Elros have some alarming new feelings the moment he chose morality? Did Arwen?

Hot take? A show with queer people in it from the beginning was never queerbaiting and— very literally and technically— never could. In the first episode, a gay man comes out to his family. And he doesn’t stop being gay after that; it’s a major plot point and part of his character going forward. You’ve had a married lesbian couple from the jump who are proud and unapologetic about their love for each other. The story has also portrayed several queer couples and stories in episodic plots, including featuring queer weddings.
Buck didn’t suddenly “become” bi. Queerness is not when straight people “turn” queer. He has been attracted to men the entire time; he has always been bi. Understanding yourself and your sexuality as a queer person is often so difficult under heteronormativity. Sometimes, it takes time.
Hell— Buck checking a guy out some time in season 3 or getting flustered by the idea he might like a guy, etc, etc, are not even examples “queerbaiting,” nevermind how the show already features queer stories.
I genuinely think some of y’all are just mad that he’s not sucking face with the man you want him to, and are being weirdly homophobic about it. “Buck kissing this man is kinda off-putting, lmao.” “Buck and his bf’s relationship is awkward. IDK, but it weirds me out.” “There’s something so cringe about Buck’s relationship—” “Who dates someone they haven’t been friends with for years first? It’s kinda creepy…” “I think their relationship is a weird mess. It’s not as meaningful as a slow burn.”
Life isn’t fanfiction and fanfiction tropes don’t make good writing. Most relationships start out with a “hey, I’m interested in you, let’s get to know each other.” You’re just transparently uncomfortable with two men expressing that interest in each other outside the arbitrary rules you’ve established to make a mlm relationship “legitimate” or “meaningful.”
[Fanfiction] tropes— from “there’s only one bed” to “we’re forced together, but fall in love anyway”— are responses to the sex-negativity and purity culture norms forced upon gender and sexual minorities. They provide a workaround for these norms but never a direct challenge. It’s like the Family Guy episode “Prick Up Your Ears,” where conservative Christian abstinence-only sex education leads to kids having ear sex. Ear sex is the workaround to the abstinence and purity rules they’d been taught, not the challenge. We still have stringent rules around who can touch whom and under what circumstances. Tropes reflect this. So, a trope like “there’s only one bed” provides the characters with a justification for their intimacy without directly challenging why it is taboo.
You’ve convinced yourself that shipping— and thus the tropes it employs— is more subversive than actual representation, and the people caught in the crossfire are actual queer people.
Also— for the love of fuck— stop comparing every mlm relationship to RW&RB.

in grace's fantasy when max appears, the lighting is pink, and he even says he's hungry for her, plus the whole dirty girl soup thing, and the line in the second screenshot (to show the lighting more clearly but also bc more eating metaphors). i think this is pretty clearly nibbly's influence. his whole thing is being hungry, and lust falls under that category very easily. the lighting is pink until this line
where it turns purple-y blue. blinky is purple, but honestly i think it makes more sense for it to be pokey -- i mean, his whole thing is getting people to sing along. and with this line in the chorus:
i think it makes more sense for the latter half of the song to be more pokeycoded rather than blinkycoded, even if the lighting is closer to purple than blue. am i willfully misinterpreting this? maybe! maybe there's not supposed to be any lords in black symbolism here at all! but i think it's more fun for me personally to interpret this song as a vision from them, trying to tempt grace to do things like murder and summoning them. just my thoughts tho! i'd be interested to see other ppls read on this!

I just love q!Mike so much cause he's canonically arospec, is green and black, and has fucking emotions and doesn't hold back in expressing them and he has a bestie that's been by his side his whole life and cares about that bestie so much he tortured someone for hurting him and like I have never felt so seen in a character before? (Besides Lilith TOH <3)
It feels like such a breath of fresh air to see such a close platonic relationship and a character who doesn't fall in love but he has can and will kill for Pac and the greatest part about it to me is that as far as I know cc!Mike doesn't even know the word aro he probably knows nothing about the aspec community and I feel like it just shows how easy it is to write us and yet ppl like sob and scream and throw up at the thought of not being able to write two characters in a very useless romantic plotline

Anyone who has seen how russia treats its prisoners isn't shocked at the treatment of the terror attack suspects. It's is a common pattern: torture someone then film their "confession". Similar things are done to Russian political prisoners, foreign nationals, Ukrainian prisoners of war, Ukrainian civilians..... with other variations, sometimes not filmed, sometimes even worse torture, sometimes sexual violence...

I just think Hunter was obsessed with Willow and didn't even know it during the period from any sport in a storm to labyrinth runners. They maybe don't talk as often as they could, they're both busy and have conflicting schedules, so when they do talk, Hunter absorbs everything she says.
After roughly 3 weeks of texting (hexting? I feel like the kids would call it hexting), He knows that her favorite colour is orange, she likes her tea with extra milk and a bit of honey during winter, she likes working out to the noisiest angriest music in her playlist, her dad Gilbert is a construction witch who specialises in pottery, she used to listen to breakup songs and think about her childhood best friend (Hunter doesn't know it's Amity) and she actually has a mild pollen allergy despite being a plant witch and has to take potions for it.
He casually drops all this info piece by piece during their stay in the human realm and willows like. Well I can't not marry him. It'll have to be a winter or fall wedding to account for her allergies </3
