#silvacre#suranne jones#rose leslie#vigil#the bbc making a silvacre fan edit was a pleasant surprise :)#i saw the streaming numbers for vigil 2 were very good (understatement)#which makes an s3 at least a possibility#if they can write a story suranne and rose would sign on for#i'm counting on what suranne said that the continuation of the love story is a big part of what brought her back#the series does a good job creating dramatic tension and conflict within a happy relationship that doesn't involve cheating or one dying#if they do a 3rd season i hope that continues#i mean the series started with amy in the worst possible place emotionally and psychologically so surely they wouldn't go there again#s2 with its wlw mlm solidarity/parallel storyline and giving us more insight into amy and how far she's come since s1#on top of all the other things i liked this season (which i enjoyed quite a bit in addition to the ship)#at heart it's very critical of the british government and military/war machine and some reviews seem to have missed that part#anyway i'm pleased as punch that a prestige bbc drama has two women in love at its center and a lead as compelling as amy#and that it's pulling in the numbers even without the submarine and claustrophobia (admittedly a cool premise)#keep making the fanvids bbc social media team we appreciate you#queue

Started writing a fic back in early October and had to abandon it for a while due to IRL situations. But I've started working on it again little by little, and I am so excited to eventually share it with my mutuals and followers. I hope you guys enjoy it (I am trying my best to get it done)!
TBH my only motivation anymore is thinking about my friends having a good time reading it when it's finally posted (I love all of you very much). I cannot wait for all of these ideas to be fleshed-out on paper at last.
Over 16,000 words and I am nowhere near satisfied yet. I feel like I can write WAY more. Stay tuned!

I had this unhinged crossover idea, Desmond getting yeeted into left 4 dead. Consider this like a really, really late Halloween thing.
I hadn't thought too much on how things would play out for Desmond but all I know is he fucking hates it, he's thought he hated being the main target for Abstergo? Oh he's gonna hate the undead despite feeling a bit of sympathy for them.
I mean, the green flu appeared to have started slowly before things spiraled out of control continuing to evolve and further spread, and the next thing people knew, their loved ones were dropping like flies only to rise once more and begin just attacking out of nowhere. Heartbreaking to him but now his fight for survival just got worse, there's no innocents anymore, and survivors who were once kind and generous are now willing to kill other survivors just to stay safe and get supplies.
He did find some of the saferoom wall writing hilarious though, if he found a marker he totally adds his two cents in.
Absolutely hates the special infected, avoiding witches? He can manage that unless some idiot startles her, first encounter he had was not fun- he swore his heart stopped for a second hearing the witch screech. And don't get him started on the hunters, they boggle his mind and make him internally rage. Of all special infected, he's 100,000% certain if he drops and all he'd end up a hunter, and that thought terrifies him above all else.
Like, could you imagine that? Hunter!Desmond would be a freaking menace, and unlike other hunters who aren't all that silent due to his training and bleeding effects, his stealth goes above and beyond what the typical hunter is capable of. Nightmare fuel for sure.
Well, this is obviously a very late Halloween thing because I just answered this today XD
I have fond memories of L4D as it was the game me and my friends would play between classes if we were quite bored. I even play Back 4 Blood with my friend a few months back just to get back to that L4D feel (and also because it was one of the few games we both had that we could play together hahahaha).
Out of all the infected, I prefer being the Hunter so there’s definitely some bias when I say that I agree with you that Desmond would definitely be the worst kind of Hunter.
Made for stealth and speed, compounded by his unique genetics that makes him the closest Isu among the humans if we don’t count the Sages.
He wouldn’t just be a Hunter, he’d be a mutated Hunter.
One might even call him the Apex Hunter.
His vision would stay in a heightened state of Eagle Vision, unaffected by flashbangs or any kind of tools that might impede his visions or other senses.
The heightened state of Eagle Vision meant that not even walls can hide his preys and he has… ‘favorites’, one might say.
The Apex Hunter would prioritize hunting and turning specific humans.
Humans that would turn into Hunters as well, joining him with some kind of strange pack-like intuition.
To the humans, it would seem random and they won’t realize it but the Apex Hunter…
He turns those that glowed bright to him.
Those with higher Isu genes that the rest.
And it is those nightmares that plague Desmond’s sleep.
It makes him fear being infected.
Not that it was easy for him to be infected.
He wore a mask to cover his face and lessen the chance of being hit by blood or any kind of body fluids from those he takes down. He goes to the nearest museum and ransacks their historical weapon and armor displays, going for the chainmail and leather armor instead of a full metal armor. It was as light as he could get it while offering the necessary protections as he sometimes has no choice but to get into close combat with them.
He goes for weapons his Bleeds are familiar with, a hunting bow for stealth kills that wouldn’t alert the hordes, a sword with the nearest weight to what he was familiar with, a hunting dagger that he uses more as a utility tool than anything else and an emergency pistol he got from an undead police officer he took down.
He kept his identity a secret. There was no need to tell everyone he was Desmond Miles, not when he’s not sure yet if Abstergo had already been wiped out or if they’re not behind the scenes, protected by the best security money can buy.
He woke up alone, in a room that had enough clues for him to figure out that he was about to be dissected (or vivisected since he wasn’t dead yet).
No clues on where the Assassins were.
If there were even Assassins left.
All he knew was that he woke up and the world had turned into a post zombie apocalypse.
So he continues to travel, focusing on the rooftops to traverse and only making contact with other survivors when it was necessary (or if his kindness gets the better of him).
He does not give a name.
But his existence is whispered regardless.
The White Hood.
A man clad in a white hoodie with a blank mask that covers his entire face.
You know when you see him because…
His white clothes do not have a speck of blood at all.

QSMP Elections are going to make the server so MESSY. AND I’M HERE FOR IT!
Already we see BBH saying “it’s a game about killing people,” willing to take out competition to get Skeppy in, REMOVING his Ordo Theoritas stasis chamber ender pearl in case someone tries to ambush assassinate him that way, contemplating removing everyone from his allowlist at his homes… Entering his uber-paranoid villain arc for his little diamond buddy
And then there’s the absolute POWERHOUSE that will be Cellbit and Forever (assuming they’ll work together), with Forever likely going to bring Brunim in. Meaning BBH will be facing off against Forever to get the people they want on the island, which will significantly change their relationships with each other and their friends
Not to mention the De Luque Mafia Family can actually do some damage, and if Cellbit marries Roier then EVERYONE is gonna have to watch their backs, what with the Masked Mine Placer and Foolish having a glock

the two factor authentication app for work popped up an “are you enjoying using duo mobile?” prompt to rate it in the app store and like. yeah it works fine for what it is but enjoying? who’s out here enjoying having to pull out their personal cell phone first thing in the morning to log on to an entire day of work? like my desktop outlook every time i open it making me dismiss a banner without a “no” or “never ask again” option about how i should download the mobile app which is sexy and fun and will let me reply from anywhere! like this is my tumblr device. my google image search for “[vaguely defined] meme template” device. my same fanfic for the ninetieth time at one am device. i realize microsoft teams has already stormed the beach at normandy and my zoom phone forwards here because i have to be logged into other accounts on my company computer but enjoying? really?? at 8 am enjoying??
#the worst part is: the duo mobile tone is actually very nice so. i don’t NOT not enjoy it#and yes I KNOW i would also encourage someone else to demand compensation or a company phone#and i respect my colleagues who downgraded to flip phones to force IT to give them a duo mobile fob instead#my direct manager doesn’t put teams on her phone even if everyone else does so it’s not required#but the fobs don’t work for ‘remember this computer for 10 hours’ and i like to pace around my house sometimes#and it’s a nonprofit etc but more importantly:#a substantial part of my lifetime professional success comes from always endearing myself to the IT department#on business

I still can't believe the hotd writers had Daemon call Criston "Ser Crispin" what lame ass insult is that? The writers had to be on something when writing that sad excuse of an insult and the fact it got approved to be in the official script????? Whats even crazier is the fact some people will post these insults and get hundreds or thousands of likes💀💀 what happened to creativity ???

#ada speaks#i think i could probably recite the entire one sided phone conversation he has with daisy by heart and i havent seen the ep in months#i don't know how to explain it but#from what little ive read of ross' writing it feels like. when you click onto a fanfic and you feel immediate deep trust of the author#like it just clicks#the cookbook characterization specifically. is like.#i would put my life in your hands#and im sure we will get more eps by him and i really hope that continues because i think its been a very long time since the shows had#writers that i feel Get the characters in a way that feels effortless rather than. overcompensating.#like you can smell that writer's signature no matter how hard they try to cover it up with jokes and subversions#which isnt always a bad thing and im sure if we do get more maloney eps i'll pick up on his writers quirks too#but it doesn't feel like he's trying to copy anyone/pull from old eps it feels like he has a good grasp on things which makes it feel fresh#i find that long running shows hit a point where episodes start to feel less cohesive and more like. segmented short films#but if you have a really good group of writers and they find their groove its like. yeah. ok.#i think season 3 is a good study because marder and rosell's influence is all over the entire season#later seasons you can literally just. Feel which eps they worked on because its got a completely different vibe from the rest of the season#16 still suffers from that segmentation but#i think all the first time sunny writers (and nina's first solo ep) were all absolutely fuckin bangers and they've got a good team in there#anyway. characterization of dennis flipflops a lot. but the rest of the gang arguably gets it worse at times#i think megan's dee is the absolute worst aside from conor galvin's#and i understand wanting to write her as a girlfailure who is just. horrible. but.#ok. comparing self help book dee to ross' cookbook dee. i dont even have to say anything do i.#she's like. The Woman. in the self help book. and i fucking could not stand it. ross' dee is so perfect though#and his frank. I love seeing the kitty post again bc it reminded me of an incredibly old hc of mine. Akira is like “(whispering)Ann. There is no way in fucking hell i am letting you strip naked in front of someone we dont know and dont trust (yusuke). Like that is just not happening.” And theres like a beat before akira is like. Out loud- ‘Let me do it instead.’ Which Yusuke immediately agrees too
Bc Akira 1) literally has to go to the bathhouse nightly bc the cafe does not have a convenient shower in its tiny washroom; he does not care in the slightest about stripping in front of anyone. 2) Ann JUST joined this team, and she is automatically placed in the position of ‘family i want to protect’; he would never forgive himself if something actually happened to ann, even if he thinks Yusuke is at worst, an eccentric little man. And 3). Yusuke is pretty 👉🏾👈🏾 he is so pretty and he wants to hang out w the w pretty boy and talk to him :) and if Yusuke spends the whole time complimenting Akira and his body that is an extra bonus
His acting is way better than Anns, and so some time during the painting, hes like !! ‘I think i heard something’ and rushes to get his clothes on in a very believable fit of panic. And its enough to make Yusuke believe Madarame came home early, which in turn makes HIM panic (which makes akira SO upset; that is not a look he wants to see on Yusuke ever again). And as Akira is running around trying to find a way out (finding the Door blocking them in the palace), he spots Mona struggling w the door and NEARLY freaks out.
“Is there a back door somewhere? I wont be able to jump out of a window and I dont want to bump into him trying to leave through the front.”
“N-no there isnt,” Yusuke says, stammering a bit “but you can just stay in my Room until he settles in-“
“Will he NOT check your room?”
Yusuke looks VISIBLY distressed. “Yes. I-I mean, no, he may search my quarters, but he will most certainly check THIS room; its safer to be caught in my room than for us to be caught in this one.”
And Akira is like. Why is that? With the facade gone, Yusuke will admit later down the line that he was more scared of Akira in that split second than the possibility of confronting his sensei. “You live here. Youve lived here for years? And Madarame has a room that, if you walk into it, is a death sentence in your eyes. Because you know thats not outside the realm of possibility.”
Yusuke sees Morgana behind Akira w a little pick in his mouth and he can hear the door creaking open.
“Yusuke. You know this.”
He refuses to comment.
Suddenly, Akira hears Real footsteps. Ones that he is sure belongs to Madarame. And its different when hes Pretending to run for his life, its another when he KNOWS hes in danger.
“Morgana. Inside.”
Yusuke sees the cat scamper inside the room before he feels Akira grip the front of his shirt and yank him inside, past the decorated door.
Akira is already on his phone, searching for the app, when Morgana pulls the string to illuminate the room. He sees the paintings. And he can see that Yusuke has seen them too. Hundreds of them lining the walls. Copies upon copies upon copies upon copies littering every inch of this room.
When Madarame comes in, he gives some half hearted excuse, and when Yusuke sees through it, threatens them. Akira, not keen on having Yusuke hurt(and NOT keen on having this boy yelled at), drags him by the hand outside of the room, away from the screaming and onto the streets. He says “trust me, please” and before Yusuke can nod his head, hes falling.
Ann thinks its so funny. Ryuji rushing to catch Yusuke as he plummets into the palace, and hes like “WHAT. You are Not Akira,” as he puts him down. Followed by Akira himself crashlanding into Yusukes arms. Hes visibly shaking, but hes a mix between scared shitless and unbearably giddy.
“Hey. You trusted me.”
“I dont think I had much of a choice, if I am being honest.”
And Akiras like youre right. You really didnt. But I promise you, starting now, you will have a choice. I want to help you, I want you to have agency in your life. And its really scary taking that first step (punching shido, standing up for someone else. Confronting your abuser, standing up for yourself) but im going to make sure its worth it. I swear to god im going to make sure its worth it.
And like. TBH. Akira cant help himself. Hes a sucker for pretty faces. And unfortunately for him, fate has put every fucking pretty face with a sob story in his path and he CANT just leave them there !

Finished Link Click Season 2!!
I still think it's not as good as Season 1 and the pacing has issues, and there is just too much focus on characters who are not our main three but I still adore the plot and the cliffhangers and especially what we learn about Lu Guang in the very final episode.
