Don’t worry, my child. I will happily explain some terms for you~ 😌

Maladaptive Daydreaming - the strong compulsion to daydream (usually as a coping mechanism)

Paracosm - A daydream “world” in the daydreamer's mind (usually held from childhood, but can be recently made, too)

Para - A daydream character in a given paracosm (can be based of a fictional character, based off of a real person, created by the daydreamer, or any combination of the three)

Veritbond - A para that the daydreamer has a strong emotional connection to (but this is a very broad term that has different meanings, depending on who you're talking to)

Yu’yden is an undead being known as a Watcher, and in some versions, father to Vor’kalth/Veth’shal (and the one who turned him in undead). His condition as a Watcher forced him to become parasistic, and he parasited the Sygdom’s bloodline. He was one of the most ancient Aar’Vossians, even if not as respected, due to his particular fixation with vengeance making him not focus on the group’s goals.

Race: Watcher (crystal-based undead drow)

Year of creation: 2014

General description: As other Watchers Yu’Yden could only manifest within the crystal unless he spent a lot of his energy on controling crystal itself to form a body, so he relied on other clan members to do most of the acting, or directly parasiting living beings which he ate from within their soul. He was overall barely human, having been undead for several hundred years, and even other watchers feared him due to his cruelty. A bad boy!

Words to use instead of "character"

“para”: Can stand for “person in a PARAllel universe/ PARAcosm”. The prefix “para” can also mean “above”, “beyond” or “near” and in my opinion that describes at least my connection to my paras (“characters”) quite well (like, something that’s near but also beyond my life in this universe?)

parame stands for “parallel me”/ “me in a PARAllel universe/ PARAcosm”. Term we can use instead of “main character”. It’s the person we are in our daydreams. Similarly we can also form words such as “parasister”, “parafriend” etc.

I also propose using “paracosm” and “thisverse” (like “this universe”) to differentiate between our “two lifes”
