Having watched The Lost King on my trip back from europe gave me an uninterrupted 4 hours to sketch out Richard’s amazing armor from the short scene at Bosworth Field that rotted my brain so much I’m now a Harry Lloyd fan, which is a miracle in of itself.
Needless to say I had to raid my dad’s library for books on medieval armor to draw this and it shows.

the lost king (2022) may not be entirely historically accurate or the greatest film ever made, but it's still endearing, and it does provide representation for lonely, depressed, chronically-ill women who form parasocial relationships to cope & are really obsessed with historical figures most people don't care about. and for that i'm giving it a 8/10.

The skeleton of King Richard the third. Found buried under what was once a church in Leicester England. The King died in the Battle of Bosworth 1485. The Kings remains had been lost to history until September 2012.
The remains of Richard III, the last English king killed in battle and last king of the House of York, were discovered within the site of the former Grey Friars Priory in Leicester, England, in September 2012. Following extensive anthropological and genetic testing, the remains were reinterred at Leicester Cathedral on 26 March 2015.

So after watching "The Lost King" yesterday and being so impressed with Harry Lloyd playing 2 versions King Richard III (as well as the actor Philippa saw in the Shakespeare play) I had a thought during it that he looked so many like a lot of my favorites mashed up with the dark hair and green eyes like Tom Hiddleston's Loki and Charlie Vickers' Halbrand/Sauron from "Rings of Power" (also Charlie had to audition reading part of "Richard III" for the show LOL). Then I totally forgot that Harry was in "Game of Thrones" and how he wore the white wig and then realizing that fits how most LOTR fans draw the Annatar version of Sauron. Plus I'm working on an original paranormal/fantasy story and all 3 of these actors fit how I'm seeing this character so it's helping with inspiration. Kind of wondering if "Rings of Power" could get Harry in a future season, and I very clearly have a certain type when it comes to guys with dark hair.

I (42F) have recently started seeing a guy (35 + 500M) within the last month. I really think we have a connection and have devoted all my time and energy into being able to meet him in person (long story, but he’s basically being held against his will in an undisclosed location.) im the only one who can find him so i’ve quit my job, and have convinced my ex-husband (45M) to support me in this by doing all the household chores, taking care of our kids, and donating $2000 to my kickstarter, all while i ignore him in favor of having imaginary conversations (the guy i’ve been seeing is a hallucination of king richard iii). AITA?

Harry Lloyd reading the poem that was read at Richard III's reburial. Harry plays Richard III in the film The Lost King.
It's a beautiful poem, the words 'grant me the carving of my name' really got to me. I watched the burial on TV at the time and could feel the atmosphere.

The Lost King (2020)
An amateur historian defies the stodgy academic establishment in her efforts to find King Richard III's remains, which were lost for over 500 years.
📝 A heart warming story of a woman who found a King. I really enjoyed it. There are no surprises in it but it's still a fascinating story. I have been reading up on King Richard III and he passed some progressive laws (at the time) in his short reign.
I love Sally Hawkins but also lovely to see Harry Lloyd. He is an underrated but very talented actor.

This is it, my big analysis of The Lost King's fashion.
It's mainly a carryover from my original reblog, but now with more pictures. Sources will be hyperlinked and once the main piece is done will receive a document of their own.
Comparison points are used as following. Richard III (1955), The Hollow Crown, 2014, and the White Queen, 2013. Richard iii 1995 was not chosen as a contender due to the fact it’s set in 1930s and is an outlier.
We're going from the top down.
(This is just a filler post)
