After going absolutely feral, they ended the event with a final score of 1433!

For those wondering, the maximum number of points you could get for any submission was 17. Most submissions were only worth 8. They submitted 156 entries in 1 month.

Iwatex charas as pokemon trainers because I have lost control of my life

Anemone:

Main focus on fighting types, vague sports theme, and also kingdra because anemone has scales and is named after a sea animal so a sea dragon seemed fitting

Cal:

I tried to use some more bulky and defensive pokemon, and I wanted to include at least one dragon type because of socks

Dys:

Ghost and dark types of course for dys. Additional lunatone because it's ruby pokedex entry says that people speculate it comes from space.

Marz:

I didn't really go for any typing theme, just pretty pokemon. Also if you don't know, minior has a different form with a colorful core. I imagine marz's minior has a blue/teal core.

Nomi:

Mostly normal types, and I tried to give them mostly unevolved pokemon. Obviously I had to give them an eevee, and galarian ponyta because of unicorn.

There were less psychic pokemon than I thought so I did what I could

If you are not familiar with pokemon lore, clefable, beheeyem, and poipole are basically pokemon aliens. Also I tried not to give any characters legendaries/mythicals/whatever but I think sym can have an ultra beast as a treat (poipole).

oooh let me tell you about Skid's team!!

-Skid works full time, but all the kids are just technically "part-timers". Which they can get away with mainly cuz their unit never has like any cases to work on lol.

-Skid isn't very well liked by HQ but due to multiple reasons really HQ is obligated to keep her employed for however long she wants to be employed. As such they give Skid like no serious work to do ever. Their job is to investigate magical occurrences and hunt down any potential monsters that are labeled a threat to the community. Skid's jurisdiction is in a small town that's notorious for being a "dead zone" in terms of magic... nothing happens there like Ever.

-Regardless, Skid does have a team! Claire, Henri, Eliza, Natasha, Marz, and Ada. Henri has been on the team the longest, going on like 200-ish years. He's the common sense of this operation (generally). Eliza is Skid's daughter(adopted) and officially just a secretary, but she honestly knows more about the job than anyone else. Natasha and Marz are strays that Skid picked up a couple years ago, and while rambunctious idiots they're good at their job. And sweet lovely Ada had the wonderful misfortune of being assigned to the team by HQ.

-One thing of note is that Skid actively only employees non-humans or humans that are little wacked up magically. But never Angels or Angel Nephilim. The only Angel who's part of the team is Billy, and that's cuz Skid doesn't get a choice in who their manager is. Because of this I gave this story the name "Skid's Loophole Gang" when i was like 13, and its sooo stupid and cringe but this is literally still how I label them in my files to this day 😔
