The part of TMNT that throws me off the most is how you can track the progression of time through the generation that each group of turtles represents. Like:

TMNT ‘87: Gen X

TMNT ‘03: Early Millennials

TMNT ‘12: Late Millennials

ROTTMNT: Early Gen Z

Mutant Mayhem: Late Gen Z

(Obviously there are more but these are the five versions I’m most familiar with)

Like I’ve finally hit the first generation of turtles where all four turtles are younger than me and it’s so strange how each generation’s culture is completely reflected in the characters’ behaviors and upbringing. I think that Mutant Mayhem’s post-mutation Splinter is roughly as old as the first generation of turtles, or at least close to it. How long until we get a Gen Z Splinter??? The 2012 turtles would be 26 today???? The original turtles would be roughly 50?????

My brain hurts.

Idk why American theaters haven't jumped on this, but in Japan a lot of theaters sell merchandise for new movies that you can usually only get at the theaters or like after the movie is released.

Went to the new TMNT movie and it was absolutely banger, I was so surprised at how funny a lot of the scenes were. Donnie being a weeb was not on my bingo card. Plus like them acknowledging Raph's anger issues and being like "we gotta get you therapy man" idk it was so nice?! Also the music and animation were banger as per expected.

So yeah worth seeing, plus this sweet merch I got was great!

The movie theater also had these cool posters and photo spots!

Movie booklet talking about the characters and has an interview with the director and background on the Japanese seiyu.

Got me and my homie classic turtles keychains since they're the Donnie to my Leo.

Adorable turtle tot pins holy shit look how smol!

And of course this cool chain imma probably start using for my house keys and commuter pass.

All in all a fun experience. 10/10 recommend

TOY LEAK and my 2 cents about it

Splinter looks cool ig, with this character design I'm thinking he will be a chill splinter like rise. Also is his item a gun?!? That would be kinda funny

I know this is probably toy concepts but splinters title is master sensei... Isn't that the same thing?
