#my art #Wrist is still healing...#It is such a slow and inconsistent process #But now I'm seeing a physical therapist #Turns out I messed up my thumb tendon and all the muscles in my forearm #de quervain's and tennis elbow.. Very fun combination #But I'm making good progress. Been getting a lot of basic functionality back #I hope I can get back to doing digital art regularly within a few weeks or so

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

chuckles!! :] i love him for a variety of reasons, like ive said i find him to be a very personally relatable character (i too would be constantly scared if all my friends enjoyed driving 200mph hundreds of feet in the air all the time like it's no big deal) but his anxiety doesnt make him a one-note character. he still carries confidence in his own skill, he still rides with mike despite everything he puts chuck through on a daily basis, will still talk shit about people right in front of him (even if he does backpedal just as fast). his meekness doesnt make him complacent, he just rebels cautiously on the sidelines with what he knows hes good at. and thats a portrayal i find very cool.

he shares a trait with mike too with the subtly expressive eyes, even though most of the time we see them when his hairs blown back and hes terrified, i love the moments we can see them because hes excited and passionate about what hes talking about

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

i wasnt sure what to put for this answer that i didnt already cover so i just grabbed two of my favorite moments from blond thunder and fearless. i love his "oh shit i actually did it" moments

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

mike!! first and foremost hes insanely fun to draw. theres a lot of little subtleties to his design that i think are extremely smart.. like the very chill and relaxed look to him because of his bangs constantly half lidding his eyes. but dont be fooled this man is insane

hes also the nicest dude in detroit, never questions his faith in his team and their individual ability, and always values others needs. but he can also overcompensate with taking hits and responsibilities as the leader. he can make stupid, reckless decisions. he takes a firm stance on what he believes in, but hes never preachy or forceful unless the situation makes it necessary, always putting personal freedoms and choices above everything else. genuinely such a refreshing character to watch

he also has the coolest weapon ever its a skull that unfolds into an electric chainsaw staff are you seeing this shit

14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.

PUNK!!!!! anything black and spikey and rebellious. bonus points if its got skulls on it somewhere
