i was at my ex boyfriend(currently one of my best friends) house, he lives with his parents and little brother, im basicaly part of the family so we have game nights where his aunt, uncle and cousins show up too(both his cousins and his little brother are under 12 years old). We were at the couch looking for a movie to watch before game night and i saw SALTBURN and went "oh i heard its really good" and he said "oh, you want me to put it on? I dont mind" and i was like "no, lets watch american psycho".

There were multiple sex scenes in the movie anyways but his parents, uncle and aunt were intrested in the movie while the kids were playing at the computer upstairs. THANK GOD I SAID NO BC I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THE GRAVE SCENE OR THE BATHTUB SCENE. I havent watched the movie yet but i saved myself from the worst embarrassment of my life by wanting to watch american psycho.

Okay, I think I understand why the bathroom scene at the end of episode 7 has me so undone. We see Kinn and Porsche growing in intimacy over the course of the series. But there's just something about that bathroom scene that hits differently. It's not just the tenderness (Kinn basically falling apart) or the ridiculous hotness (will we ever forget Porsche's hip and flank, jfc?). It's not even the explicitness (I read and watch pretty explicit content on the regular).

It's because Kinn and Porsche are exchanging something very personal. They are so in sync, so wrapped up in each other, communicating unspoken emotion in every possible way that the outside world has been crowded out. Bodyguards, partiers, even the viewer. Especially the viewer. In that moment, I am a voyeur, intruding on an intensely intimate moment and I want nothing more than to close my eyes, excuse myself, and back my way out slowly from the room. Kinn and Porsche aren't just having sex, or sharing physical pleasure. They are having a moment and I am extraneous and unnecessary to that moment. The 4th wall doesn't exist in that scene because there is no audience. It's just them and we just happen to show up. But it's all good, because they don't even know we are there.

To be able to convey that feeling to the viewer is so freaking brilliant. I'm still boggled by it.

Rose and Maloney / Series 2 / Episode 4

So I haven’t drawn anything decent in literally 15 years but the kanej bathroom scene has my heart trully and fully, and even though I am not happy with how this looks I wanted to post it just to push myself to do better next time.  I also couldn’t decide if I liked the reddish-grey scale or the light colors so here’s both. 

Pete is trying so hard to get back i to his ‘smiling persona’ but Porsche is not giving him an inch.

‘it’s not funny. you got hurt. something is wrong. something big has happened to you. something that broke even more than you were before. and as i am your friend i want to help you. in any way i can. so tell me what you need me to do. do i need to fight someone? just tell me and i can take the person who did this away. and you will never see or hear of them again. are you sure you want me to drop this? … alright i will take care of your wounds. just remember i am here if you ever want to talk about it and if i can help just say a word i’ll be there.’

that is what i imagine went through Porsches head. and then we have Pete who just doesn’t want to talk.

‘haha. just some dogs, you knows how clumsy i can get. nothing happened. i’m fine. really. i know you care about me. but i don’t want to talk about it. i can’t talk about it. i doesn’t want to think about it. i jsut want you to take care of me and help me heal. but i cnat tell you what i went through. because even though you are my friend there are things you wouldn’t understand. and i wouldn’t want you to be able to understand. so let’s not talk about it and say that i just went home. that i really went home and nothing happened there but i got into a dog fight when i wa s coming back oaky? can we do that for now? because i can’t handle anything else.’

and honestly this was the scene that hit me the most.

because we can see how much Porsche want to help and how much he actually understands. he was in a situation where he didn’t want to talk, think and anything else about it. so gets it. and he does what he can, what Pete will allow him to do to get his friend up and standing again.

Isn't funny that you can say, The Scene, to someone in this fandom and they'll honestly wonder, "which one?"?

Because it's just 7 episodes in and we already have so many iconic scenes that are worthy of being called The Scene.
