Hi! I am so sorry to bother you but just know that your "translation" Aventurine x reader truly moved me. I accidently came across this fanfic and the writing was so beautiful that I immediately cast everything aside and gobbled the entire thing up, it was just so captivating and mesmerizing! The monologue was beautiful, references from the beginning of the text being effortlessly placed in the end tied this masterpiece together in the most wonderful way. The dilemma was executed magnificently, it all felt so natural and not superficial - it was beautifully gradual and made so much sense. The flashbacks were perfect, both quality and quantity. The perspectives from both the reader and Aventurine/Kakavasha were wonderful. The reader was also so well written like their replies and inner monologue felt natural! I love that they were smart, usually in fanfics Y/N tends to be dumbed down which is a shame and it's not the case here at all. And most importantly Aventurine/Kakavasha were written perfectly, completely in character. A masterpiece regarding his demeanor. I appreciate you sticking to his canon, even though the circumstances he's put in in this fanfic are unfamiliar to canon you managed to portray him perfectly making the dilemma all the more meaningful! So yeah your writing is absolutely marvelous and I enjoyed every bit of this work of art ♡♡♡

14. Any favorite motifs?

ELVES….

Jokes aside I REALLY love sky motifs/drawing character with sky patterns and/or themes, fairly recently I did a character design lineup of a whole slew of night sky gods!

I think my other favorite character design element is woad-style (pictish war paint/ceremonial body paint) tattoos and markings, I just find those intricate designs that follow the shape of the body really beautiful :)) I think they also give characters a pop of character and color that just really pulls designs together!!

+ Here’s a character with both motifs that I never got to use, maybe I’ll pull them out as a bard one day !! Ciaran one day you will get your time in the sun…. (ha. ha. get it. Because. Yknow-)

20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy?

LUV 2 DO THE LINEART. LINEART IS MY FAVORITE PART OF THE PROCESS OTHER THAN MAYBE SKETCHING. “Hate lineart? Just clean up your sketch/have a lineless style!” No. Pry it from my cold dead hands. Its so methodical and really lets me thing about my intentions for the piece and really help pull the whole thing together. I’m trying to experiment w hatching and such so maybe one day I will be able to do even MORE lineart per piece. Sensational. On the inverse why does everyone enjoy coloring. Finding proper shades and values especially on a character design is hell. Love having good taste in colors. Hate doing those colors.

But while the Ghoul had many skills, clearly his lockpicking only went so far. On the fourth pick that snapped off in the lock he gave a beastly snarl and kicked the safe with the heel of his boot.

oh god. i don't know if i can pick just one? i have a lot of random ones. this one isn't that crazy but i do have an entire pixie hollow au for bmc. i don't talk about it much bc its mostly self indulgent and cringe but you know. we ball. combining all my weird little fixations into one.

oooh,,, i mostly stick with deere, but. i have a bunch of little ships that usually take the backseat which makes me feel bad about it. i want to write a messy ass chloe/madeline fic when i find the time, but idk when/if that'll be lol.

i mean. not really? i think the closest to that i have in recent memory is brooke/rich, because at first i didn't really get them but. they rattle around in my head a lot. other than that i was SO sure that i'd never write wlw chloe but like... whatever the hell she has going on with madeline. i think they should kiss about it yk.

oh absolutely. ive been writing/drawing bmc since like... 2017? i think? since my freshman year of high school. my writing and drawing have improved DRASTICALLY since then. but like... my drawing is still just for fun, so im not stressed about being the best or anything. and my fic is where i get to cut myself slack with writing. so like ive improved by breaking rules yk

film whose main genre is drama: okay the category is so vague but i’ll say the apartment 1960 dir billy wilder. movie that perfectly straddles comedy, romance, and something weirder and darker. the second half of the movie almost entirely revolves around a suicide attempt and yet it never loses the lightheartedness and sweetness of the first half even as the people involved are at their lowest points. much like life.

a blog i miss writing with is definitely @hinokvmi / coma . they haven't been around in a while, but i miss them tons ! We were very good friends and they were there for me through some rough things so !! always love when i do hear from them !

@hookedswords & @pontevoix also asked my favorite types of characters .. uh generally my ' type ' of character is the one that is extremely grumpy or try to act tough but has a good heart. characters who have a good complexity to them and their personality are always fun to write for me too so they don't necessarily have to fit the ' type ' .

What is something your OC wants but knows they can never have? How does it feel to never get this specific desire?

HAHAHAHA see this is Venture's main character drive <3 <3 <3 She was born a pirate and always thought she couldn't get a more fulfilling life because after being born in those circumstances, the world likes to make sure you stay in those circumstances. So her whole deal is "Stuff I want but everyone says I can't have.... I am a pirate so if there is one thing I know how to do is how to get stuff that was never meant to be mine!" and she rushes through life with that mindset... and so far it has been worth it!! Very difficult, specially now that she grew a conscience and now feels terrible for the things that she has done buuuuuut she sure is trying to have it!!

The true answer is her brother, she wants her brother back but she is yet to accept she never can :') Again chasing things even if everyone tells you that you can't have that.... I MEAN to be fair she has encountered ghosts and befriended one so doing that leap from "I can revive my brother" is a reasonable one... if you don't fully understand how this stuff works lol

She is just so sad she just wants to bring her brother back SOBS

When was a moment in your OC's life that they felt the most vulnerable and exposed? Were they alone or surrounded?

OUGH currently Event 2 Expedition 4... EXP 4 in general actually. She was faced with a lot of her fears (Being judged by God) but during Event 2 not only she was shown what she lost (Her brother, her crew, her life where she did anything she pleased without feeling guilt...) but also in front of the rest of the teammates, including some that represent what she is most insecure about (How while the Guild is her "new home" she doesn't feel wanted there because of her backstory) and it was OOUUUUUGGGGHHHHH just sooooo good WTW I love you

When was a moment in your OC's life that they felt the most in control and secure? Was it gained through negative or positive means?

HEHEHE >:3c SO this is interesting because during game I'd say it was the time she raided the Red Tide Marauders base because... She wanted power to be able to change things, and she got it!! You can get pretty much anything you want if you threaten anyone to shoot them Lightning in the face LOL And she wanted answers and she got them!!... And they didn't make her happy because of course hearing the reasons why your brother was killed didn't bring any peace. In a way she was expecting to find that control because controlling something as powerful and erratic and terrifying as Lightning should have translated to controlling your life!! And when it didn't she got so angry she killed the guy because well!! If I have no control over my life and the cycle of violence then I might as well just be part of it!!!!!!!! HELP that ended up going in the other direction.... huuuuhhh..... Venture likes having control over social situations where she is very good!! Also she really likes controlling her electricity now so thats cool!!
