but fr outside of my contracted madness i absolutely refuse to give joe alwyn gold rush like how is that song at all related to their relationship the lyrics clearly spell out a relationship that either never existed or only existed in implication and fantasies and maybe-maybe nots and its so bitter and yet desperately soft in the bridge where it almost projects a sense of envy, of wanting to be them as much as you want them. It continues an interesting oft ignored lyrical trend of taylor wanting just as much to be her lover as to have them, envying their easy charisma (you were flush with the currency of cool/i was always turning out my pockets) or quiet dignity (your integrity makes me seem small) dating back to her earliest songs (the kind of flawless i wish i could be). Theres a projected self hatred and yearning to be better that twists itself into both romantic and sexual lust for her partners thats so fascinating and speaks to how all of her songs regardless of who theyre about are also an act of self reflection on who she is and who she wishes to be.

Sorry for this but like........ Tolerate It by Taylor Swift is like sooooooooo Parrot Duo. Like in a platonic way.

See it as this: Jaiden is known to feel so bad about having Roier take care of her and all the stuff he gave to her and such and of course waited patiently for him and didn't ask too much of him("wait by the door like I'm just a kid") and paid so much attention to him and Bobby because she cares about them("I notice everything you do and don't do" "I sit and listen") now shes alone(by her own fruition in a way).

She also has to watch as he creates a life with Cellbit and we know it affects her at least a little which connects to begining the bridge: While you were out building other worlds, where was I.

Not to mention she had just gotten more comfortable with the idea of being in 'Roiers' house and then it was ripped away: Where's that man who'd throw blankets over my barbed wire (a few bits that don't fit) Now I'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life.

Not to mention this : Always taking up too much space or time. You assume I'm fine but what would you do if I('m not)

Sorry I'm just so unwell about them and am a die hard swiftie so like this came from being in a car going to a place an hour away and listening to angsty Taylor Swift songs.

It troubles me that you all hate him for the end of the relationship when is stupid as a listener not to see these repetitive paterns in her songs. Taylor doesnt seem to adjust well to when the thrill passes, she goes dark or goes for drama witch further puches the individual away! Its exhausting and unhealthy! Its normal for long term relationships to go through ebbs and flows. It does not have to mean the relationship is dying. Communication is key to a healthy relationship and we know she doesnt like that, she loves drama and signs! At the end Taylor’s problem is she is in love with being in love! Stop blaming her ex only! She is not perfect! She propably started sabotaging the relationship when it got ‘’boring’’ so she could chace the high...

PS Not to say that he is perfet , it takes two for relenshionships to move on... he was there when everyone and the media hated her! Matty shows up only when she is at her top game!

i just thought about like the most epic thing ever and i wish this would happen. LIKE I HOPE THIS HAPPENS SO MUCH (sorry to all the 1989 tv truthers for this one) OKAY THEORY TIME!!!

btw disclaimer this is not a completely original thought i saw it on a pinterest comment thing but their theory is that all of the hints recently have been leading to 1989 tv right??? well what if she announces rep instead - and just like the album, its so unexpected

AND I THOUGHT OF A SCENARIO TO GO ALONG WITH IT!!!

like imagine on the 8/9 show date, and shes sending hints for 1989 tv the whole concert, along with the hints shes dropped recently with 5 hearts on her insta and blue stuff OH AND THE POLAROIDS, but this show just like the speak now tv show shes making the bracelets blue, shes being direct about it

and then surprise song time comes along! she starts to talk about all the rerecordings and the lights on the bracelets are all flashing blue, and then all of a sudden after a slightly long ramble about the rerecordings, she talks about the date which is 8/9 and referencing 1989

and EVERYONE is losing their mind (for example in her speech when she said speak now before announcing speak now tv) and everyone started screaming and like Losing Their Shit.

she keeps talking and then she pauses, and everything just goes black. the lights go out and the bracelets go dark and everything goes silent and we cant see taylor and everyone begins to freak out… but Then.

we hear a hiss. We see a snake slivering along the black, empty screen. And then we hear the opening notes of ready for it you know the BAMN BAMN BAMN BAMN, and the snake transitions into the letter R and there, right there on the screen, is “reputation tv coming out blah blah” and the spotlight goes back on taylor and shes smirking and announces it and then she sings her silly surprise song to go along with it
