“I got it!”
And Bea leaps to hit the ball, watching as it bounced heavily against the ground. She was proud of it, but her lower back immediately pulsated in pain, “Ow.” she whispers, rubbing the sore spot just in time for Shells to look over.
“You good?”
Beatrice winced, her hand still massaging the aching spot on her lower back. "Yeah, just a little twinge. I might have pushed myself a bit too hard there."
Carmen raised an eyebrow, a teasing smirk playing on her lips. "Getting old, Bea? Need a break already?"
Beatrice shot her a playful glare, trying to mask the discomfort with a defiant grin. "Getting old, my foot. It's called not warming up properly." and regretting it immediately.
Evelyn, catching wind of the banter, joined in with a chuckle. "Well, you two can argue about age later. Right now, let's focus on the game. We're not here for a spa day."
The gymnasium echoed with the sounds of bouncing balls, sneakers squeaking on the polished floor, and the occasional cheers from other teams practicing on adjacent courts. It was the first time they trained with other people there.
Carmen tossed the volleyball to Evelyn, who skillfully set it up for Beatrice. Despite the twinge in her back, Beatrice was determined to show that she still had the moves that had made their college team legendary.
As the ball sailed towards her, she adjusted her stance and launched into a powerful spike. The volleyball arced gracefully over the net, landing on the opposing side with a satisfying thud.
Nice.
Beatrice's successful spike had brought a sense of satisfaction, momentarily easing the discomfort in her lower back. However, she knew she had to be cautious to avoid aggravating the twinge further.
Evelyn retrieved the ball and tossed it back to Carmen, who set it for Shells then to Eliza. The team continued their practice, and as they played, Beatrice couldn't help but reflect on how different this experience was compared to their college days.
Back then, it was all about good fun, it was never serious after all Northride didn’t have a volleyball team. Now, it was a celebration of sorts?She had to admit that being called to play another game after four years was…interesting, and fun.
And a bit hurtful since she’s used on doing her yoga and taking care of the kids.
After a series of well-executed plays, Beatrice delivered a powerful serve that ricocheted off the opposing team's hands, scoring another point for their side. Shells whistled loudly, fist pumping to her best friend, “That’s my girl!”
Evelyn clapped her hands, a wide grin on her face. "Great job, Bea! We've still got it, don't we?"
Bea nodded, chuckling, wiping sweat from her forehead. "Hell yeah, we do.” she heaves out a breath, “I’m sweating more than a sinner in church.”
Evelyn, eventually called for a timeout. The group gathered near the sidelines, catching their breath and drink some water. Beatrice took the opportunity to stretch her back, hoping to alleviate the lingering twinge that had made itself known earlier.
Shells nudged her playfully. "Feeling the burn, Bea? Maybe you should consider joining me for some yoga sessions."
Beatrice chuckled, rolling her eyes. "I'd consider it if you did yoga.” she groans again, leaning her body backward and huffing, “Fuck.”
"You know," she said, a sly grin on her face, leaning back on her seat "I heard about this new trendy thing—hot yoga. Maybe that's what we need, Bea. A good sweat in a heated room, and you'll feel rejuvenated."
Beatrice shot her a playful glare. "Hot yoga? Are you trying to torture me? I already feel like I'm melting in here. Besides, I'm more of a cool breeze kind of person."
Evelyn chimed in, handing Bea a bottle of water. "Hot yoga or not, you're doing great out there. A little twinge won't keep you down."
Beatrice took a grateful sip from the water bottle, appreciating the encouragement. "Thanks, Ev. Now." she looks at Shells who still looked so pleased, “Whenever you mention anything that sounds remotely sexual I get worried.”
“It’s not sexual.” the blonde replies, ‘...it’s just…fancy.”
“Uh-huh. And I assume Bob loves it.”
Shells’ smile widened, “Oh he does. A lot, you should show Rooster some moves.”
Beatrice arched an eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips. "You are assuming I didn’t already.” she says, “Besides, I don’t think Roos will like the idea, this week is about making him feel good…but tossing him in a sauna? No.”
Shells chuckled, giving Beatrice a playful shove. "You never know until you try, right? I swear, it’s, great.”
Evelyn, overhearing the conversation, joined in with her eyes latched on her phone, “Shells, you are being too horny, go call Bob or something, it’s grossing me out. " but she was smiling, “No, but really,I agree with Bea. I doubt I’d join something like that.”
Shells laughed, "Alright, alright, no more hot yoga talk. We've got a game to focus on, and I don't want to distract Bea with thoughts of sweaty Rooster in a sauna." She wiggled her eyebrows teasingly.
Beatrice chuckled, shaking her head because it was too late. "You're impossible, Shells. Let's get back in the game before we lose our momentum."
As they returned to the court, she rolled her shoulders and then her neck. The opposing team seemed determined to turn the tide, and the rallies became more intense. Evelyn's strategic serves kept the opposing team on their toes, thank God because the other team wasn’t being nice.
During a particularly challenging rally, Beatrice dove for a low spike, successfully returning the ball with equal strength. And then she feels it, her ankle the same she twisted years ago, twinged with pain, “Wait,wait,wait!” she holds up her hand “Pause! I gotta sit down!”
The gym fell into a momentary hush as Beatrice signaled for a break, wincing slightly from the twinge in her ankle. She made her way to the sideline, carefully lowering herself onto the bench.
"Bea, you okay?" Shells asked, her eyes scanning Beatrice's face for signs of distress. “What happened babes?”
She nodded, breathing through the discomfort. "Just a minor ankle twinge. Nothing I haven't dealt with before. Give me a moment."
“Is it the same foot?” she nods, “Damn,Ev-”
Evelyn handed her another bottle of water, her brow furrowed with worry as she crouches down to her foot. "You sure you should continue, Bea? We can sub you out for a bit."
Beatrice waved off the concern with a nervous smile. "No no no, I'm good. A little rest, and I'll be back in action!”
Ev’s brow went up, “You sure?”
Beatrice winced slightly as she flexed her ankle, testing its range of motion. "Yeah, I'm sure. I've dealt with worse. Just need a moment to let it settle, and I'll be back in the game. I can't let a little twinge ruin our momentum."
Shells sighed, crossing her arms. "You're stubborn, Bea, you know that?" then she turned to Eliza, “Liz, you are our nurse, can you check our little miss hardhead?”
Eliza nodded, then approached with a concerned expression, crouching down next to Evelyn. "Bea, let me take a look at that ankle. We don't want to risk anything."
Beatrice nodded, extending her leg for Eliza's examination. She winces a bit when Eliza moves it, clenching the bench with her lip between her teeth, “A-At least it happened during training and not in the game,right?”
“Hmmm…” Eliza frowns, “Yeah but this is the same one from before, it’s fragile. More prone to hurt, can you stand?”
Beatrice took a deep breath, steadying herself. With Eliza's support, she managed to stand up, putting a bit of weight on the injured ankle. The discomfort was still there, but she gritted her teeth, determined not to let it hinder her.
"Yeah, I can stand. It's sore, but I'll manage," Bea assured, giving Eliza a small smile. "I can't let the team down."
Shells, hands on her hips, gave Beatrice a stern look. "What?! Girl, shut up with all that, Evelyn tell her to stop!"
Evelyn chimed in, concern etched on her face. "She's right, Bea. We want you healthy. Let's not risk further injury." she says, “We’ll stop today and then you can go home, take care and return once you are better. If it’s too bad we can always cancel it.”
“But–”
“They’ll understand Bea.”
Beatrice sighed, glancing at the court where the game was on pause. She knew they were a team, and her well-being was crucial, but…"I appreciate the concern, really, but I can't just sit on the sidelines. Let me play a bit more, and if it gets worse, I promise I'll sub out," Bea pleaded, her eyes pleading for understanding. “Please Ev.”
Evelyn sighed,then turned to Eliza, “You think it’s good enough for her to go on?”
Eliza assessed Beatrice's ankle with a thoughtful expression. pursing her lips. "Well, it's not a severe injury, but it's definitely strained. If Bea feels up to it, she can continue, but she should be cautious and not push too hard. Ice it when you get home, Bea, and keep an eye on any swelling."
Beatrice nodded, standing up. "Thanks, Liz. I'll be careful, I promise."
Evelyn sighed, relenting a bit. "Fine, but I better not catch you pushing yourself too hard out there. We need you in top shape for the games ahead and Rooster would never forgive any of us if you got more hurt."
She grinned, relieved that she got the green light. "Deal. I'll be mindful of it. Promise.”
She adjusted her movements, testing the waters to gauge the strain on her ankle as they got back in the court. The game resumed, and she focused on playing strategically, avoiding unnecessary risks.
The rallies intensified, and the opposing team seemed eager to capitalize on any potential weakness. Beatrice, however, held her own, to the best of her ability. Despite the initial setback, teamwork remained formidable.
As the final set approached, Beatrice felt a mixture of exhaustion and satisfaction. The twinge in her ankle persisted, but she pushed through, unwilling to let it overshadow the game. But she noticed, as soon as they finished training, it was a bit harder to walk. “...well.” Shells mutters, “Ain’t that a pickle,need help?”
"Evelyn," she called out, gesturing towards Beatrice, "I think we need to take a closer look at that ankle. It seems worse than before."
Evelyn furrowed her brows, concern deepening. "Bea, time to go home.” she says, “Call Rooster and let him know you are coming. I’m sure he isn’t expecting it,but…”
Beatrice almost felt guilty.
No, this was his leave. He couldn’t worry…but she had to call him.
She dialed his number, and as the phone rang, her mind raced with thoughts of how to break the news without causing undue worry. Which,in reality, there were no other ways to do it.
"Hey, gorgeous!" Rooster's voice came through the line, warm and familiar. "How's training going?"
Beatrice hesitated for a moment, taking a deep breath before responding. "Hey, Roos. Training...well, it's been a bit eventful. Listen, I, uh, twisted my ankle again. Nothing too serious, but Eliza thinks it's best if I head home and rest."
There was a brief pause on the other end before Rooster's concerned tone filled the line. "Twisted your ankle? Are you okay? Do you need me to come pick you up?" she can hear him grabbing his keys already “Let me ready the kids–”
Beatrice couldn't help but smile at Rooster's immediate concern. "No, no, it's not that bad. Evelyn is here, and we'll manage. I just wanted to let you know since I’ll be home in a few minutes…”
Rooster sighed on the other end. "Bea, you don't have to tough it out. If you need me, I'll be there. I don't want you pushing yourself too hard, especially not now."
Oh her poor heart "I know, Roos. But I promise, it's not as bad as it sounds. Just a little twist. I'll take it easy and be home soon," Beatrice reassured him, glancing over at Evelyn, who was giving her an nod “Ev is taking me home.”
Rooster sighed audibly on the other end. "Alright, Bea.I’ll set everything here for you,okay?” he sighs again, “Baby I don’t like seeing you hurt.”
"I know, Roos. I don't like it either, but it's just a minor twist. I'll be fine, promise."
Rooster hesitated, his worry palpable even through the phone. "Alright, Bea. Just take it easy, and let me know if you need anything. I'll be counting the minutes until you're home."
"I will. Love you," she said, her voice softening.
"Love you too. Evelyn, take good care of her, okay?"
Evelyn, who had been listening to the conversation, nodded. "Don't worry, Rooster. I've got her. We'll be home soon."
With a final exchange of reassurances, Beatrice ended the call, feeling a mix of gratitude and guilt. Rooster had been looking forward to spending his leave without any worries, and here she was, disrupting the plans with a twisted ankle.
The gremlin voice giggled inside of her.
Evelyn looked back at her "You sure you're okay, Bea?"
"Yeah, just a bit sore," she replied, rubbing her ankle gently. "I appreciate you being here, Ev. I didn't want to ruin the day for Roos."
Evelyn smiled,. "Rooster cares about you. He'd rather know the truth and be there for you than have you push through the pain alone. You know that’s how he is, don’t you worry,alright?”
Beatrice sighed,hugging her arms as she limps close to Evelyn. "You're right. I just hope this doesn't mess up his plans for his leave." she frowns, “I hope.”

Different Friend Types HC's Pt. 1
I wanted to do some platonic friendship hc's so I picked characters that fit certain types of friends. ^-^
💚 The Doting Parent – Makoto Tachibana (Free!)
Makoto is totally the type to fuss and care for you much like a doting parent regardless of how competent you are. He’s always looking out for you and wants to make sure you’re doing well.
If you’re not very good at taking care of yourself, Makoto will step in and help. He already has some experience with his own siblings and Haruka after all, what's one more? He’ll make sure you’re on time for whatever you have to do, he’ll kindly fuss and try to get you to go outside if you don’t get out enough, make sure you're not skipping meals, drinking enough liquids, keep you on task and help you with anything you need to get done. If you’re feeling down or upset about anything, he’s right there with a kind smile and asking what you need from him.
Makoto gets embarrassed if you try to take care of him and if he's unable to take care of himself for whatever reason, he'll constantly apologize for it because he doesn't want to inconvenience you. But when he's able, he'll definitely either get you a thank you gift or return that care two fold. It's not often anybody takes care of him so he appreciates it greatly and will let you know that.
If you're the type to become a dual parent friend with Makoto, you two are gonna be quite the pair. Sometimes you'll both become almost overwhelmed with how much you two take on to help your friends, but you two will always be in sync catching wherever the other falls short. It's a lot of work for sure but you guys easily become an essential core to your friend group and really make it feel like a family. Outside of your friend group though, you and Makoto definitely at least take one day every week to do a spa day or have a chill lazy hangout day together to refresh yourselves.
"Hey, how've you been? Are you eating and drinking enough? How's your sleep? Ah don't call me mom, I just want to make sure you're ok, you know...?"
☀️ Your #1 Fan – Mirio Togata (BNHA)
Mirio is the best cheerleader you’ll ever have in your corner. He's all about bringing out people's greatest potential and any buddy of his is guaranteed to feel supported and self-assured.
Even though Mirio's an overall high energy optimist, he understands that everybody can have different preferences for what they want in encouragement. He also understands that sometimes people just need general support and he's more than willing to provide just that. He'll never push you to do anything you don't want to do or force optimism on you. He just wants you to know he's got your back.
Mirio’s favorite kind of motivation is to hype people up! Compliments and praises left and right, motivational talks all over the place if needed, he’ll make sure you won’t leave without at least some upgrade in your confidence. He’ll even chant his encouragement to you with enough energy for a whole crowd. He believes in you 1000% even if you don’t, and by no means do mistakes or failures mean you’re any less of an amazing person in his eyes because it's all part of the process of progress. You're trying and that's what really matters!
If you’re one of those people that aren’t quite that high energy and have trouble with motivation, he’s got you. He’ll listen to what troubles you and gives calmer words of encouragement. If you need help with doing things that are too overwhelming for you, he’s ready to assist in any way he can to make it easier. If you need a little push to do something that scares you, he’s there to be your safety net and express how proud he is that you had the courage to try. If you feel like you can’t do anything because life is just too hard, he’ll tell you that that’s ok. He’s proud of you for trying to push through because it takes a lot of strength to endure what you’re going through. If you ever need anything, he’ll always be there for you.
“There’s my awesome buddy! How’s being the best person in the world going for ya? Nah it’s not an exaggeration, it’s the truth! Honest!”
💀 Partner in Crime – Guzma (Pokémon)
Guzma’s that type of friend that’s fun to get in trouble with and may or may not be a bad influence on you. Parents hate him lol.
Despite Guzma’s delinquent ways he has a moral compass in there. He wouldn’t go as far as to do anything truly heinous, he’s just here to let loose and have fun. His kind of misfit fun is pranking people (especially assholes), maybe a little vandalizing and stealing things from said assholes, graffiti, trespassing to explore abandoned places, hitting up underground parties or clubs, etc. If there’s anything you haven’t tried that you weren’t sure about or didn’t want to do alone, he’s totally down for it. If anything, he might be the safest person to have around for whatever it is because he always makes sure to look out for you when you guys get up to stuff.
Guzma would never snitch on you for anything, momma didn’t raise no snitch. You won’t realize it until he does this or if you guys start playing with hypotheticals, but Guzma will give himself up or take the blame to protect you if needed. He’s aware that the way he lives isn’t a good lifestyle and he’ll partially blame himself for letting you almost get in trouble. But it hardly gets up to that point because he’s pretty good at getting you guys out of trouble whether it be through clever street smarts or intimidation. Also you know, he's got a whole gang/family to back him up and by extension back you up.
FOR LEGAL REASONS, I DO NOT CONDONE THIS AND IT’S A JOKE-: Assuming you and Guzma are thick as thieves, he’d help you get away with murder. There will be no questions. The less he knows, the better, but you're gonna be handling the majority of taking care of the body. He'll put up with a lot, but the dead gives him the jeebies.
“You and me? We're like chaos and destruction in human form. The world's gonna be shakin' at the mention of us, just you wait!”
😏 Are Y'all Dating or...? (The Bestie) – Oikawa Tooru (HQ)
Oikawa’s that type of friend to be so close with you that people wonder and ask if you two are dating. The answer is always no…uNLESS…!!
Oikawa wants to do ALL the things with you and you two never truly get tired of each other. There will be many sleepovers, shopping trips, gossip, spa days, trying new things together, road trips. Each of your families and friends will be well acquainted with you two to the point that it’s almost annoying how much you two bring each other up to people. His other good friend Iwa-chan is kind of relieved at first that there’s someone else to take on Oikawa’s antics, but soon realizes that it’s become double trouble for him as a result.
For Oikawa it’s like he’s found his platonic soulmate and he couldn’t imagine his life without you. Which is why he’s also pretty protective of you and becomes suspicious of any newcomers, though he knows how to respect your boundaries and let you live your life how you want. If you have a crush that he gets good enough vibes from, he will hype you up and try to figure out a plan to help you two get together. If anyone hurts you, he will get them back for it in a crafty yet subtle way that will simultaneously make it obvious to only that person that he’s the source of their torment.
At first people thought you guys were like siblings but with the amount of joking you guys do about cuddling and how excessively you compliment each other, people’s perceptions quickly turned. Some people might even want you two to get together, but you guys aren’t into each other like that. You’re both just platonically comfortable and close enough to make those kinds of jokes and find it amusing that people even think you two are romantically involved.
“Bestie!! I found this new café that just opened up, we gotta go try it! And tell me all about this new person you’ve got your eye on~”
👿😈The Chaotic Gremlin(s) – Denji & Power (CSM)
Denji and Power are about the same type of gremlin with slightly different quirks and might as well be a packaged deal, so here we are.
What could go wrong with these two? Literally everything. If you choose to hang out with these two you know exactly what you signed up for. You’re going to constantly get in trouble with them for destroying large amounts of property. You will be dragged into devil fights and often become the damsel in distress if you don’t have a way to protect yourself, but at least these two will literally rip the devil to shreds or be ripped to shreds to protect you. While this is nice, you’ll more than likely end up with broken bones anyways because Denji accidentally drops you from a considerable height or Power flings you out of the way without considering what the impact could do to you, much less looking where she flings you. You better be durable.
Denji and Power are constantly bickering and since you’re a third addition to this now group, they’re gonna fight over you. They come up with strange and nonsensical ways to compete in spending time with you or even just getting your attention. You’ve basically become the older sibling that the younger siblings will do anything to gain your favor and praises. Whether you use this to your advantage or not is up to you, but I have a sneaking suspicion you get these two into trouble in doing so and quickly make your escape before they can blame you for it.
On a more wholesome side of things, Denji and Power would be like a brother and sister for you. If they do anything they find personally impressive, they want you to witness it and praise them. As mentioned before they always want to win you over: Denji trying to be genuinely considerate of you and make you laugh while Power will sabotage him and even go as far as to cause trouble on purpose and accuse him of being the culprit. They’re basically your feral guard dogs, so if anybody ever harasses you these two will be threatening them with things worse than death. Whenever they want to play games or go out, you’re always dragged along. Sure their constant quarreling and grapple for your attention can get annoying, but that comes with the territory and you wouldn't have it any other way with these dummies.
Power: “The great Power demands your presence! Let’s go. Leave stinky Denji.”
Denji: “Hey no fair, it’s my turn to hang out with them! And you stink worse!!”

Hello binge anon!! Yeah, parts of fandom can be weird about Oliver and Ryan. There are Oliver stans that hate Ryan, so they refuse to believe that Oliver likes him. There are Ryan stans that dislike Oliver, so basically the same thing.
The people that connected the dots from what they did post (at the same spa at the same time, Ryan posting from Oliver's house, and many other examples), were frequently written off by that portion of fandom as "crazy shippers"...and to be fair, some of us probably are. But that said, it doesn't change the fact that they've always been close and they've always cared for each other.
Parts of the internet just can't comprehend two people liking each other even if they don't agree on everything or two people not constantly posting every moment of their lives.

* They wail, clutching the Swatchling in front of them as though, with enough force, they could simply slip through their body and into the Mansion beyond.
Please, my fiancé is in there!! You can't- please, he's innocent!
* The acid room is far within the Mansion, but even from here, they can hear him screaming.
Please, let me in!!
* The Swatchling that holds them keeps them out easily, the Addison's desperate flails sliding off of his body.
This is- please, you cannot!
* Behind them, three other Addisons have congregated, biting fingers and looking at the floor.
Please, you will kill him!!
* The screams coming from inside the Mansion suddenly reach a fever pitch, and with a garbled screech, the Ad stomps on the Swatchling's foot with their heel, taking the opportunity to dart inside.
Spammy!!! Spa-!!
* They stop suddenly, a look of horror dawning upon their face.
* The Queen stands in front of them. The cup of acid in her hands sizzles away, burning and raw, fresh from the lake. Immune to such things, she takes a sip, casting her face in a sickly green glow.

The members of the family jewels each come from very different backgrounds. Part of the reasoning for the group’s name comes from the fact that they are their families’ prized possessions, their beautiful little gems. Members like Nayun and Narae come from a well known family in Korea, whilst members like Heidi, Gigi, and Nanami are from humble families in far away countries.

All HEIDI has is her mother, JUNG JIHYE. Before having HEIDI, JIHYE was a Korean teacher at a high school in Iceland. She is a Korean immigrant, having fallen in love with the country while on vacation and decided to move there without a second thought. JIHYE couldn’t wait to live in Iceland with her boyfriend at the time, but things quickly went down the drain. He did not possess the same passion for the country and didn’t want to move there and not have a stable job. So, she left him in Korea. Or at least, she thought she did. JIHYE found out she was pregnant before leaving for good. She chose to not tell him, fearing he would make her stay. HEIDI was born in 2001 and she hasn’t told either of them. JIHYE plans to take this secret to her deathbed, or at least keep it a secret until HEIDI does a DNA test.
HEIDI is okay with not having a dad, but she always wonders what it would be like to have more than just her mom.

Since Terry would never want beloved to leave him, would he make beloved financially dependent on him as a way to keep them in the relationship? Would he do things such as having beloved quit their job if they had one? Having them drop out of college to possibly limit any career prospects they could have had with their degree? Getting beloved so used to a certain lifestyle that if they ever did manage to leave they would have trouble adjusting back to a regular life and would likely just go back to Terry?

Oh goodness, he'd be so slick about this.
Beloved never even notices what Terry's doing because Terry's also the most generous, giving person ever when he wants to be. He takes care of his own. Through him, beloved has everything in the world. This bubble-wrapped sphere feels safe and cozy. Bills aren't even an issue. Life (in this golden cage) is somehow a breeze. When you're a Billionaire, the concept of paying for electricity isn't a problem. Beloved can have cars and clothes and resorts and mansions and jewelry and spa days and private stylists and everything under the sun (which Terry insists they should have and he doesn't take no for an answer), but everything under the sun that they have is also Terry's. They technically own nothing outside of what they previously owned in their Pre-Terry life, if he doesn't usurp even that in the seemingly most mellow, clever 'I have a knack for real estate, darling. Let me handle this. I can get my lawyers on this.' way possible. Terry will absolutely take care of beloved to the utmost degree, sure, but it comes with the price of them being solely his. He won't share them with a career (if they have a career, it is one he arranged for them, under his rules, or none at all), an education (What for?), their own fame achieved through him (Terry can be a VIP, but beloved is just his, because he doesn't like others having them in their limelight), or anything else you can imagine that'll ensure they have an ounce of their own integrity or freedom.
Why would beloved need anyone but him and what he provides?
I think it boils down to the desire for control, yes, but also an underlining fear of his person slipping out of said control and out of his grasp; possibly leaving and even though he might seem very cool and relaxed when people leave him (John) Terry's everything but and he handles it disastrously. And Terry's awfully lovesick and he uses his fiscal priviledges as a weapon. He doesn't want to be left, betrayed, replaced or abandoned. He wants to tie beloved to himself in every way possible and if that means making them entirely dependant on him, then so be it. He loves so much it is crippling. I think he might even openly confess to this whole scheme after a while, after beloved's already been wrapped into his net without the means to escape, accustomed to certain things by him, things they'll never afford, reliant on him, on his dime, on his support, help, protection, on everything he offers, he'd confess that 'Is it bad I want someone all of my own, huh? Well? Is it?' There's shades of guilting to this, but also a stark sort of truth. Because he does want someone all of his own. He wants whoever he wants and he'll have them. I always say it is almost preferable if Terry doesn't want someone because that ensures they'll be ignored. Now, he does have someone, though. It is not so bad, is it, he muses? To be taken care for the rest of your life by someone who knows how? To be loved forever? To have everything and him? If anything, you should be thankful.
The best case scenario is that if beloved was legitimately poor.
Imagine the scope of control Terry would enact?
He scoops someone up and places them into this world way beyond their wildest dreams and he bars the figurative (and literal) door shut. It is a dark fairytale he weaves around beloved. They're never leaving him because they're too flattered, dazed, daunted and grateful to ever do so. They've no ability or resources to do so either. Why, they couldn't pay for a runaway plane ticket to anywhere if unless he paid for it. He gave them literally everything because the economic disparity is (knowingly) just that vast. All they can do is accept it and be the person he devotedly loves (and consumes).

Star stable is a good video game just ignore how hard I grit my teeth and fight every bone in my body telling me to hate on it bc it’s like, Thee Game for me. No other game js as Star Stable as Star Stable, no other game has taken so much money from my mother because I am a witless fool and for some reason the prices of tack/horses/clothes is rising just like the real life inflation rate so . Idk. I wish there was dynamic heights for characters so Quinn could be 6’6 like she’s supposed to be. And I also want retrofitted tack. And maybe they should like, go back to earlier gen 3 models (American Quarter Horse specifically becuase that’s my favorite model in the game haha) and give them a bit of a spa treatment, like making their manes 3D objects instead of like, paper thin mane textures (specifically the braided hair style, once again bc my aqh has his mane braided and Dirk deserves to look cool) . The Selle Français or whatever they’re called are cool as hell btw easily one of my favorite horses I got a Blu Spy one and a Red Spy one and they’re awesome . The galloping animation is a lil wack but I honestly don’t care bc they’re just such pretty horses and Fast as Fuck (faster than Dirk, at least, and it makes me sad bc Dirk is my favorite horse but I can’t reliably take him on races or champs bc he’s held back so hard by his tack (since a lot of the better tack is more recent and NOT RETROFITTED to him GRAAAHHHGG pls please Pleek sso please . ) at least they’re taking another shot at the Friesian, I really hope it’s what the community wants (I myself have a gen 3 Friesian already but I don’t ride him bc, well, his animations make me wanna kill myself or smth idk). Also I wish that selling a horse netted you star coins, it gives more incentive to buy the newer horses and phase out older ones that maybe players regret buying (I know I have some horses that haunt me bc I bought them for no reason and I don’t want them anymore but keep them around bc selling them is like, the biggest rip off imaginable). Idk. Star Stable is my favorite game. I wish it was better. I like the newer look that a lot of the locations have gotten but also…….. yeah hollow woods is ugly. Steve’s farm is ugly. It’s not that they’re ugly bc I hate the new art style, they’re ugly because there’s a lot of stuff over substance going on. Steve’s farm is kind of, empty. And also no farm has that many trees, what the fuck, horses are so unbelievably fragile everything has the possibility to kill them. It feels empty of things to do and just like, something pretty to look at. Steve’s race is cool though I like it, but I liked the old one better for some reason idk. Probably because of the nostalgia. And hollow woods is just…… why are there so many water features. I understand it’s magical or whatever but like, it’s so hard just to *get around* and *move* and *race*. What the fuck . Idk. Star stable.
