honestly when i tried to figure out why some fans are so mad at ivypool these days i was looking through avos and. the scene where ivypool apologises to twigpaw for not supporting sending a patrol for skyclan is genuinely very sweet??
i actually saw someone characterize this as "ivypool forcing twigpaw to forgive her". is it crack you smoke. is that what you smoke. you smoke crack?

I hope you spent the day filled with joy and smiling constantly and got what you wanted on your wish list! After 3 years I finally got my iPad Air and Apple Pencil!! I’ll finally be able to draw and hopefully do commissions to make a bit of money off of it! (My art rlly isn’t the best but I feel so guilty knowing my father spent so much T_T) I ALSO DID IN FACT BAKE COOKIES!!! >.< they came out amazing and I’m so happy my baking skills are improving! Just imagining fragile!reader slowly improving thanks to the help of Zandy and him making sure they don’t over exert themselves when they cook or bake. Especially since he makes sure you take breaks if you’ve been standing for a long time. Is him forcing you to sit down also a silly excuse for him to cuddle on your lap and bury his face into your chest as you softly brush your hands through his fluffy hair? Hey guys, if you could pray for me and my parents I'd be really grateful. The last cat in our old brigade, Tansy, is almost 15 and at the end of her days. She tends to get sick from allergies during the spring and she's had a rough winter and she's just, she's not going to make it through this time and she's been SUCH a good cat her whole life that we're not gonna let her suffer through it to the end. We're hoping we can get an appointment to get her put down tomorrow (that sounds awful saying it, but she's miserable and I can't watch her suffer she doesn't deserve that), so we would really appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Alisaie's hand hovers in the air like a question. The door to Seike's quarters looms large and uninviting in front of her and she's already started the march back to her own room twice before angrily circling back, glaring at the door as though it would simply give way.
It's just -- it's been a long time.
There is a sucking pit in her stomach and every time she blinks she is half asleep again, transported back to the nightmare that woke her and she really needs some company but it's been a year and it's the middle of the night on top of that, she really should just go back to her room and wait it out, Seike is probably asleep --
The door swings open, because while her head was busy running wild her body knows the familiar motions and let Alisaie's hand fall twice on the wood.
Seike is the very picture of exhaustion, hair tossed back in a messy bun and slouching in a way she'd never be caught dead doing otherwise -- but her red-rimmed eyes light up upon seeing Alisaie.
Alisaie attempts stoicism but it melts away the moment Seike places an arm around her shoulder and leads her inside; she lists against her with a shuddering breath, so grateful for the company she can barely process it.
"Alisaie!"
Of course Alphinaud is already here. A smile tugs at the corners of Alisaie's mouth at seeing him sitting on Seike's bed, duvet covers piled around him and a cup of tea in hand.
"Little brother." She acknowledges him with an exaggerated, haughty sniff and is rewarded with a shaky grin.
"No fighting now," Seike murmurs, squeezing Alisaie closer for a moment before she lets go and heads toward the tea kettle. "It's way past your bedtime."
Alisaie crawls onto the bed with Alphinaud, scuffing him aside and unashamedly stealing a little more than half the covers. He shoves her shoulder in retaliation, but she can tell it's mostly the ritual of it.
"Trouble sleeping?" He asks quietly and she shrugs noncommittally. "Me too."
They fall into silence until Seike returns and presses a cup of steaming herbal tea into Alisaie's hands, following up with a playful flick at the tip of her nose.
"We say thanks for the tea in this room."
"Thanks," Alisaie says dutifully and then sticks her tongue out just to see Seike smile, quietly glad that some of the fatigue seems to lift as she does.
Alphinaud hums next to her and Seike rakes his fringe back with her fingers, affection bleeding out of her and crowding out every single bad thought, every last dreg of nightmare -- for both of them, Alisaie imagines.
Sometimes Alisaie thinks about the fact that Seike had an entire village of siblings before them, and her heart aches with it; sometimes it feels as though Seike didn't know what to do with all the love that remained when they were gone, and Alisaie is selfishly glad that she and Alphinaud can share in it.
While she hasn't worked up the courage to tell Seike straight out that she regards her as an older sister and that she knows for a fact Alphinaud does as well, she is comfortable enough to demand that she sits down in front of them so they can play with her hair.
"I missed you both," Seike says so quiet it's near lost to the night, and Alisaie feels a lump form in her throat.
"Likewise," they echo.
Morning finds the three of them sound asleep, draped over each other like fox kits.

as much as i adore finding paradise the fact that neil & eva [especially neil] approached colin and faye's relationship as something romantic always bothered me.. but i guess it's understandable considering their experiences from the job and i'm glad that it was disproved in the end

The first four are in reference to a great idea I had of - since I’ve finished my lower-limit page number testing for making books; shorter fics take up less page space, and just increasing the font size isn’t as handsome! - simply making a mini book! All it would take would be to halve the pages again, right? Just cut them right down the middle! Easy peasy!
As I’m sure you can tell by the second, no. Not easy peasy. Difficult painful un-fun >:(
Obviously I still did it tho! What do you take me for, someone who could have the idea of an even tinier book and then not do something about it?? No
It’s also the only one so far to have a paper bookmark rather than a ribbon!
All told it’s a bit smaller than your average manga (I love the monochrome covers on these under their dust jackets haha <3) - you can see even with effectively doubling up the pages by halving their size, it was still very small-spined!
A quick shot while it was still being made hehe ♪ It’s Out! Paired here - and the earlier one, just without its dust jacket haha - with my Zarla SC2 collection (ft. Family, Negotiations are Going...Well, and With No Obligation) - I absolutely kicked myself after the fact for not including Out as the run-up to everything, I was really trying to make a full collection in probably-chronological order! Out would’ve been a perfect start! And it only would’ve taken like four pages!!
Ah well, it was still quite a learning experience - I probably wouldn’t make another standalone of under 4k-ish just for formatting reasons but I did get some good ideas of how to do so if I wanted to! Although, my next project is going to be even more of a formatting nightmare........I’ll get there when I get there! Lol

shared a double bed with four of my mates last night bc we passed out watching merlin this is what adolescence is supposed to be

hate to say it but it feels like gina softens every aspect of herself when she's with ej. which can be an ok thing with the right context! it's perfectly fine if you find yourself sort of becoming a softy and feeling gooey when you're with the person you love... but idk the way that it's not becoming a softer version of herself with ej, but instead filing down the sharp edges of her personality... am i taking small interactions and blowing them out of proportion? Probably. that's fandom baby.
i mean...yeah. i 100% agree. tbh i didn't even fully realise what was happening until the rina scene in 302 and even then it took the 303 sneak peek for it to really click. gina with ricky is a gina who is unrestrained and is unafraid to be exactly who she is. unfortunately i really do believe that this comes into the whole 1.0 and 2.0 mindset that ashlyn (and seemingly everyone other than ricky seem to share) that one version of gina is good and the other version is like. the devil. there is no nuance to be found, apparently, and everything is black and white.

Having Wickerbottom thoughts... She's so silly
#rat rambles#if it werent past midnight I would totally binge all of her dialogue#Ive read some of it tho and I love her sm I would kill to know literally anything more abt her youth#also me and my sibling were talking abt how much we know abt different dst characters families and we word searched a few characters#and bro webber has over 50 bits of dialogue abt his different family members thats so fucking much#and like 30 of those are abt his mom hes such a mommys boy#like bro I thought I was living lavish with wendy mentioning carter mom like 3 or 4 times#anyways thats all to say wickerbottom does mention her mom like twice and her grandma once if I didnt miss anything#also from what I've seen its implied that wicker might have grown up poor so thats at least smth backstory wise#also I love the contrast between her solo dialogue and her dst dialogue#part of it is just her writing being more fleshed out over time but I also just think it's fun#she's both more blunt and also more silly at the same time in her solo dialogue while shes generally a lot nicer in her together dialogue#she also seems a lot happier in her together dialogue which is a very cute detail#she clearly cares abt the other survivors a lot from what Ive read even if she gives the kids homework like the ableist she is /j#ah fuck it. starve posting is gonna be my ds tag Im tired of not having one#starve posting

I generally bounce around the DCU looking for acclaimed books more than I do following specific characters but these are some of my faves that I love to think about and that keep popping up in my mind. And Kenan. : )

BRO.#its so wild and just !!!!!!! and i have so many feelings about ben#i read a fic where he got brought back on as leader of the squad post all of this and his retirement and everything only to be put on a team#with DAVID CAIN and just bro. oh my god.#just so many ben feelings#yeah 👍#1 through 3 were super easy 4 was logical too although i havent read anywhere near enough of her comics#and then 5 was evil. not enough/too many ideas for 5#went with kenan bc proportionally ive read more of his comics and know him better but there were a myriad of contenders#answered
