MY WEDDING TRAUMA: A SURELY-SIMS x ICE-CREAMFORBREAKFAST COLLABORATION, CONVERTED TO THE SIMS 2 [download - 👰🏽🤵🏽]

are you tired of brides in white dresses and toddlers with perfect pink flower baskets? is cereal packet gameplay just not doing it for you anymore? maybe you'd like your weddings to put the 'strange' in strangetown? search no more, the ingredients for the strangest wedding in sim nation are finally here!

so, since i caught that one virus, i've been playing around a bit more with ts2 cc creation and finally had the time to work on converting a big set again. but then... what to convert? the answer came to me in the links section of a random lookbook... in a sort of fever dream. a set that captures the recent theme on my blog, families, and yet completely destroys it at the same time: my wedding trauma.

everything here is remarkably versatile. i mean, i know for a fact that people aren't just going to use that jumpsuit for a wedding, elvis needs more freedom than that! there are 9 cas items and 6 buy items for a total of 17 items in this set!

the original ts4 collaboration is complete perfection; it has just the sort of trashy, nonsensical vibes that the ts2 wedding department is sorely lacking. my conversion of this isn't perfect, i'm still learning how to do clothing and there are some minor issues mentioned below the cut, but overall i think that it came out pretty good and i hope it invokes some chaos in your game. 💥

Another updateeeeeee

I tweaked Brandi Broke and her sons: Dustin, Beau, and surprise baby boy you get when you load their household for the first time in the Sims 2 (I always named him Ricky).

I think I'm also going to upload their pink trailer home for you guys as well, that way you can just download everything and go right into game!

Some more info on the changes I made below the cut, if you're curious ↓

My goal for Dustin was to make him look a little awkward: I wanted an Axe body spray and Monster Energy for breakfast kind of vibe, so I hope that was achieved. He is not using face wash, he is cranky and smokes weed in the bathroom lmao. As a tween playing TS2, I always thought Skip and Dustin looked a lot alike, and I wanted that likeness to read.

On the other hand, I wanted Beau to look like a perfect mix of Brandi and Skip (Beau was always my favorite, and I'm a chronic teen Dustin Broke hater I'm sorry lmao). I wanted there to be an even balance of whimsy, gentleness, and melancholy conveyed with Beau. Ricky has a dirty and haphazard look because I think he would be quite the daredevil. In TS2 he is the only child that favors Brandi the most (having her black hair) while having Skip's green eyes. I wanted both of the younger boys to look like they're wearing hand-me-downs that don't fit quite right (not pictured but Beau's shorts are too short, and Ricky's shirt is quite loose and hanging off of his thermal undershirt that matches Beau's socks which I imagine came in a set, but the shirt is too small for Beau now). I also wanted all the boys to have haircuts that look like Brandi is the one cutting their hair.

For Brandi I just opted to make minor tweaks to make her look more unique - the biggest change is the droopier doe-esque eyes, which I think suited her super well, and I updated her hair. Idk what it is about her but I just think she's sooooo pretty.

1. What’s your favorite world in any sims game? Best looking is by far TS1's Magic Town. Plus Makin' Magic introduced gardening which I was obsessed with.

Favorite premade neighborhood in TS2 is Strangetown, as it has the best story and also aliens, ghosts and mad scientists. You know, the good stuff.

Idc about Pleasantview and how everyone is cheating on each other I want ALIENS!

4. What lifespan length do you play with? I've already answered this, but I like to play sims until they reach elderhood! I love having elders play with and teach the youngers their skills.

9. What type of CC can you never resist downloading?

Also, good elder female clothing with a good shape. The best clothes for elder females (imo) have structure, are bulky in a good way?

13. How long have you been playing the Sims and how did you get into it?

Dude. Too long. Early 00's. I got into it after playing TS1 with my cousin and found out she was a CC maker. And as I explained here, my Girl Scout leader's daughter had TS1 and I envied it.

27. Favorite pack from any sims game that you’ve gotten to play (if different from #3)

I might be in the minority on this, but I love Bon Voyage! I love sending sims on vacation, they deserve it.

29. What gameplay/CAS/BB feature would you like to see added/changed in the game?

omfg if I didn’t have to run businesses without having a million hacks and hacked items! If OFB could be fixed completely?! Anyone’s welcome to send me a list of “everything you need to successfully run a restaurant/bakery in TS2 and have it not hemorrhage money”.

As Christmas wraps up where I live, I wanted to upload just one more holiday thing. Yes, these are the objects I have already provided (if you download these, you will need to delete the originals.) However, I noticed some minor flaws and also felt like they needed more swatches, so there are six new swatches for each item, as pictured here.

As noted in the original uploads these are either converted from or are derivatives of MTS Honeywell’s TS2 Holiday Roof Lights set. Their wreath is not included in this set because the number of swatches with the converted swatches was already large and this would have not just added to that, but multiplied it!

Happy holidays and Merry Christmas all. I hope my conversions and the like for the holiday season have been of use.

Steel yourself and strike while the iron is hot! With an anvil and the proper body skill, a sim may forge various components, wares, tools, and even weapons and armor.

THE ANVIL: This is the station used for metal smithing. It comes in two versions, one that is a whole set up of anvil on stump with quenching barrel, and the other that is just an anvil to be placed anywhere. Of course if you choose just the anvil, be aware that the animation may be off depending on the height of the surface it is placed.

Skill Level 0-2: Perfect starting projects for an apprentice or someone just getting into the craft. BANKS While the files for the banks themselves are not included in the download, the metalsmith station is capable of making three fully functioning metal banks. ● Skyrim Metal Safe ● Skyrim Strongbox Safe ● Witcher Metal Safe

SWORDS/DAGGER: Based off of Paladin's Dueling Swords, but heavily modified, new weapons are available for use by sims teen and older. All swords and the dagger may perform the following actions: ● Challenge: This action allows two sims to spar with swords. They will continue to do so until they reach motive failure, but the action can be interrupted at any time. ● Practice: This action allows a sim to practice their sword work and footing and thus gain mechanical (dexterity) skill. Note that the sword will “disappear” from where it has been placed with this action, representing a sim has it in use. ● Kill: This action allows the current selected sim to have a brief fight with another sim and the target sim will die at the end of the fight. Use with caution, death is always the outcome for the target sim. ● Grab: Standard Grab function that adds a sword into a sim’s inventory. It is enabled for visitors, as well as children. So deliveries can be made, or thievery can happen. The grab in non-autonomous however. All Swords use NixedSims Accessory Swords from her Training Dummies V3 set, and retain their original GUIDs. If you have these already in your game you can delete them from this set. Each Sword utilizes 5 packages. All swords share the FIGHT AREA package but must have their own Object, Accessory, and Actions Packages. Different swords cannot share the latter 3.

IDOLS: Models picked based on aspects they can represent rather than any real world religion. These objects are a combination of the available actions found on KevinHope's Cross and Rebecah's Bible. Each comes in gold/silver/bronze recolors. ● Azura ● Dibella ● Mara ● Meridia ● Mermaid ● Watcher

WASH BASINS: Two items for hygiene and cleanliness. The tub is enabled for pets, and the sink is a place anywhere style. ● Metal Washtub - Bathtub ● Basin Sink

ARMOR: These smithed items can be sold to a sim who can then use it for an actual clothing grant to their wardrobe. It is one time use, thus incentivising a smith to continue to make more. There are five levels of armor that require different base metals: Iron, Steel, Gold, Mithril, and Chain. Armors DO NOT come on prebuilt display racks. They float in the air and are meant to be slotted into a display.

STATIC/SLOTTED ITEMS COMPONENTS: Components are to be used as parts in the making of other items. They are purely deco and intended for sale or further refinement. ● Chain ● Nail Box ● Spigot ● Hoops ● Findings ● Horse Shoe Set ● Wooden Bits and Bobs

INVENTORY TOOLS: The metalsmith may craft any autonomous inventory tool from Sun&Moon sets. The versions of the auto tools included in this download are updated with restocking code ans should replace any previous versions in any set released thus far. *Not pictured: Shears

COOKWARE/KITCHEN UTENSIL SETS: A set of items that when opened places single items into a sim's inventory. These items are considered inventory tools for future stations, as well as decorative slotted items. ● Cookware Set Contains: Stock Pot, Gratin Pan, Pancake Frying Pan, Roasting Pan, Sauce Pan, Saute Pan, and Wok. ● Kitchen Utensil Set Contains: Spatula, Dipper, Slotted Dipper, Ladle, Large Fork, and Whisk.

TABLEWARE SET/PLACE SETTINGS: A set of flatware, charger, and drinking vessel to set upon your sims tables. Sims will place their bowl/plate on the charger and eat. Each set has an invisible recolor of the drinking vessel/flatware so that they can be hidden. With everything but the charger plate hidden, players can decorate around the plate using five different slots with tableware or items of their choosing. Comes in three styles; Lower Class, Middle Class, and Upper Class. Each set has a different drinking vessel and is made of a different metal.

CANDLE HOLDERS: A set of various candle holders with functional slots. ● Fancy Candlestick - Tall and Short ● Fancy Candelabrum ● Simple Candlestick ● Simple Candle Dish

BONUS ROUND ARMOR STANDS: You can’t have your armor just floating there in the air (unless it’s an enchanted shop of course) so you have to have something to put it on. Some basic wooden armor stands that are found in the catalog under Surfaces > Shelves. The Armor stand has two slots to pop in Armor of your choice and a sword of your choice. The Chainmail Shirt stand had one slot. CHAIN DISPLAY STAND: Can't have floating chains either, so store them here. Five slots for five lengths of chain. Can be found in the catalog under Surfaces > Shelves.

REFERENCE TOME: A handy dandy knowledge source to know how to craft various items. This will tell you what metals and how many of that metal you will need for each item. Can be found in Hobbies > Knowledge.

things about TS4 that sound fake but aren’t:

there are three separate packs where you can piss in a bush and the camping pack isn’t one of them

you can laugh yourself to death, unless you’re either a minor or a vampire

in the Parenthood game pack children can go through a phase where they’ll wear a bear costume and get sad when you make them take it off

the metal music station comes with the same pack as knitting, the game’s version of etsy, and rocking chairs

you can immediately regift something another sim just gave you and they won’t notice

toddlers sleep better in tents than they do in the actual toddler beds

you gain fame faster from coding websites than you do from starring in movies or licensing music

you can’t get naked in front of kittens or puppies because the game counts them as children, but can disrobe in front of adult cats and dogs

the expansion pack City Living came with the singing skill and three new careers, none of which were singing

you don’t actually have to study or refine your projects to get an A+ GPA in university

there’s an entire stuff pack themed around space-saving tiny homes and it didn’t come with bunk beds. we still don’t have bunk beds despite them being in previous games

when patch 34 (the one which got rid of gender-locked customization and reproductive settings) came out, some idiotic players were annoyed because “they didn’t want trans sims in their game”, only for almost every pre-made NPC to be cis and GC by default, which means if you want trans or GNC sims in your game, you have to create them yourself. actually the fakest-sounding thing is that the patch came in a free update and we didn’t have to Pay to be trans

to commemorate 20 years of the sims, players were given a free update which included a single hot tub item for the base game. most avid players already bought the Perfect Patio stuff pack years before just so they could have hot tubs in the first place, so they basically wasted their money

there were no pools when the game first launched. no pools. in the sims. the game where you drown people by trapping them inside the pool with no way out. ghosts and toddlers didn’t come with the game at launch either, despite being in TS2 and TS3.

the wikipedia page for Journey to Batuu under “reception” describes the pack as positive from game critics, and mentions nothing about the pack having the most backlash from players in the 20-year history of the franchise

the game with all its DLC costs hundreds of dollars
