Warp drive would require great amount of energy With sufficient energy, hyper-fast solitons will enable objects to pass through space-time without being affected by extreme tidal forces. This means the passing of time inside the soliton will match the time outside, and hence there would be no twin-paradox complications, too. However, this warp drive would require excessive amounts of energy, making it a hypothetical possibility for now. Science
Β  Β  Β  My name is Fatumah Najjuma, I am currently a student who is in love with science and I believe I am a scientist because it is part of our daily Life. Science is a systematic and organised body of knowledge based on logically observed findings, facts and events. Science is also a way of discovering what is in the world, how those things discovered operate today, how they operated in the past and how they may operate in the future.
Β Β  Science is ofΒ  importance in a way thatΒ  it influences most aspects of everyday life, including Health of all living things, food, energy, medicine, transportation, leisure activities and more. ScienceΒ promotes human life at every level, from individual comfort to global issues.Β  If it wasn't for science, we wouldn't have any of the things that make our modern world possible. Β And we wouldn't even know what we were missing.
Β  Β  Β  Β I would always choose a career in Science because of very many reasons such as;
1. There are very many job opportunities like Medical Physicist, Bio-technologist, Biochemist, Physicist, Computing, Communication, and very many more.
2. Science is evolving everyday and in this way we get solutions to very many problems like COVID 19 that has been pandemic for a while, because of science evolving everyday, a vaccineΒ  has been discovered hence keeping promoting people’s health. When it come to technology, the communication that was used in the 90s is different from the current one which is more preferable and a lot more is coming in the future that is way more better than the already produced ones.
3. Science has played a great role to people’s health and the Future. Since it attached to our daily life, technology growth has improved the quality ofΒ  life of the people. The ability to monitor blood pressure or measure glucose levels with the simple aid of a portable device has now become all too familiar. As society becomes increasingly dependent on technology, it is inevitable that our approach towards the treatment and management of diseases is likewise impacted. The concept of patient-directed, self-monitoring healthcare relies on the regular use of easily accessible streamlined devices. In this century, being scientifically literate is therefore not only advantageous but necessary. Choosing a career path in Science will put you at the front line of change and progress in the healthcare industry.
4. Science is global, β€œClimate change” and β€œglobal warming” have become regular terms used everywhere.The challenge of climate change has sparked collaborations spanning the globe. Many developing countries have banded together in an effort to save our world and conserve its resources. Actions to reduce our carbon footprint and usage of fossil fuels, to find alternative energy resources, and, pursue β€œclean energy” have been undertaken. Such integrative efforts highlight the universality of Science.
The global and integrative nature of Science also means that travel comes hand in hand. During your career as a scientist, the opportunity to attend conferences where like-minded scientists gather and converse will arise. It will also enable you to seek the expertise of other fields such as biotechnology and bio-engineering, allowing for collaborations to be made across a myriad of industries.
The career path of a scientist is therefore no one-way street or no-through road. It is an ever-expanding field with a network of possibilities for future growth and development.Engage in a Bachelor of Science degree and you will align yourself with a career filled with opportunity and discovery. Scientific learning will enable you to think critically, analyse and assess a problem or situation. These skills are not only essential in the scientific community, but also in everyday life.

So I shared on a genetic group on fb how Chrissy’s genetic results don’t match her phenotype. It’s been concluded that she has either a new, unknown or untestable genetic mutation. Now there is a researcher interested in adding Chrissy’s DNA to a long term study on white patterns! It may be years before I have answers but I love that I can contribute to the future of horse genetics.

There was always something about annoying about Neil deGrasse Tyson but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. He is precisely what the headline says. Choice cuts:
"The goal of a successful propaganda system is to sell science designed and applied for military use (itself serving the dual-functions of ensuring US global corporate supremacy and innovation in the hi-tech economy) to the public as β€œcool” and fun. Enter Tyson. Since working for the federal government on these schemes, he has hosted the PBS-NOVA series, Origins; worked on The Pluto Files documentary; appeared on ScienceNOW; and has hosted StarTalk (funded in part by the taxpayer-funded National Science Foundation), which features comedians who attract laypeople to science.
...the George W. Bush administration was calling on Tyson’s talents for all things space-related. Under President Bill Clinton, the Space Command (later Air Force Space Command) announced plans to dominate the entire world by force, β€œFull Spectrum Dominance” as the successors continue to call it. In 2001, under Bush, the Rumsfeld Space Commission, sought ways to expand the Β weaponization of space to reinforce US-led corporate globalization and the architecture β€” satellites, GPS, the internet, etc. β€” that supports it. In the same year, Tyson became a formal employee of the Bush administration. One of his biographical webpages states:
Β  Β  β€œIn 2001, Tyson was appointed by President Bush to serve on a 12-member commission that studied the Future of the US Aerospace Industry. The final report was published in 2002 and contained recommendations (for Congress and for the major agencies of the government) that would promote a thriving future of transportation, space exploration, and national security.”
Tyson joined the US military’s 15-member Defense Innovation Board (DIB), launched in 2016. The board advises the Defense Secretary on numerous issues. DIB continues the all-American tradition of ripping off taxpayers by using their money to invest in hi-tech innovation under the cover of a β€œdefense” budget. DIB says:
Β  Β  β€œSome of the foremost topics the DIB is exploring include artificial intelligence, machine learning, workforce capacity, organizational structure, hiring and retention strategies, acquisition reform, electronic and drone warfare, software capabilities, and IT infrastructure.”

Sports Science, a relatively new branch of science, is a combination of several different disciplines that focuses primarily on the scientific principles behind exercise performance. Simple #physics concepts like center of mass, centrifugal force and inertia, are helping athletes win medals and set world records. In penalty-kick shootouts, the advantage is the shooters'. They kick the ball at speeds of up to 80 mph from 12 yards away, which means balls can reach the goal at less than 400 milliseconds.

Reposted from @321viral - Gas Collection for Emission Spectra pure samples of hydrogen, nitrogen and five noble gasses are subjected to the high frequency pulsed field of a miniature Tesla coil. Each gas has a characteristic breakdown voltage and emission spectrum - note that Nitrogen has the highest breakdown voltage and only glows when very near the coil where the field is most intense whereas Neon and Helium have the lowest breakdown voltage and begin to glow many centimeters away from the coil. The color of each gas is due to a mix of the colors emitted from electron energy transitions specific to each element- the basis of spectroscopy.πŸ›‘βš›πŸ”ŽπŸ”¬βš—πŸŒŒπŸ›°πŸŒ‘πŸ’§ - F0LL0W us @321viral for more! - by @physicsfun . . . #science #scienceislife #physics #argon #hydrogen #nitrogen #oxygen #gasemmissions #emmisions #teslacoil #neon #helium #coil #voltage #elements #tableofelements https://www.instagram.com/p/Bxnvo6Khz4u/?igshid=q7k0bxmahmmw
