S5 Ep 42 Pt 1: It’s All In Your Head
Every week with long covid is like a new batch of symptoms. Last month’s symptom, among other things, was “words no work no good,” and so we just uh...didn’t do an update. I probably needed to chill and nap anyway. Not that I’m fully better yet, today I did laundry and pulled out a blue shirt that I clearly own and bought with my own money--but I have no memory of it. Zilch.
The brain is amazing, that with this brain fog, I can’t remember my blue t-shirt, but I can remember Yugioh. Weird, right? So anyway, thanks for your patience in this weird time of my life, glad to have a blog to write about anime in that is so chill with our very long breaks.
Also, I finally went through my old caps to toss old pictures so that way I can make new stuff, and guess what I just realized?
Tumblr media
Kisara is not a dragon!
Seto’s girlfriend isn’t a dragon! She’s just on top of the dragon, I can’t...I just can’t believe this.
Truly a crime that this season, the final ultimate season of Yugioh, is what I’m doing while on Long Covid fruitloops, so I can miss every damn point that this show fires at me. But, at least, I hope it’s funny to read. It is like every single update where I realize I was wrong about the obvious, and don’t worry, it’s gonna happen again in like 4 seconds. My borked brain.
Anyway, Yugi and Co have walked all the way to the palace. Because we’re still on S4 time and space conventions where Death Valley, the Grand Canyon, and San Fransisco are all next to each other. Like Yami fell in the Nile in a fight that was just outside of the city--but I assumed he got pulled way out there. Either way, it’s a kid’s show, never think about geography.
Tumblr media
(read more under the cut)
Tumblr media
Yugi can conveniently walk through doors now, and after a quick shoutout to his homie Yami, they phase through.
Including Tristan who is...
Well,
APPARENTLY TRISTAN WAS POSSESSED.
Tumblr media
Freakin, my brain is a bunch of salad dressing, lmaoooo even last episode I was like “wow Tristan is drawn kinda evil and I don’t really get why” and it was RIGHT THERE. He’s been possessed probably since Bakura grabbed him by the neck right in front of me. I somehow missed this!
And like, I figure, if I try and wait out long covid it may take a whole other year, so like this is just me now. I started this blog as like a competent analysis (ish), and now I get to the end of S5 giving you just an incoherent rorschach. It’s kind of fitting for this show really, everyone has to end up at least a little bit of a mess. Keeps you humble. Even me. I also have to become the mess.
Anyway, speaking of becoming a babbling incoherent mess, we go back to Bakura, who has fully lost his game in Battle Basement of a 7 vs 1 game.
Only in Yugioh would they make a 7 vs 1 game feel evenly sided.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And as I wonder if I’ve already made that joke four months back and have forgotten, they all watch Bakura do a mad dash to screw them over one last time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And while they stood there and just allowed Bakura to fumble around with the doom rocks made of human souls, from no where, Aknadin stumbles through the door all day drunk like freakin Kramer.
Tumblr media
And no, in the show he did not reveal here that he was Seto’s dad, but he does in like 2 minutes so I didn’t really care about where I put it. The big thing is that Aknadin’s gone full-tilt cray and not even he can fully explain his motive anymore.
Tumblr media
That’s when they realize Aknadin’s babysitter, Shada, has been punk’d on the bottom of skull tablet basement. Which like, Imagine the day that Shada’s been having. I guess Aknadin just left him at the base of like 10000 human skulls then, hahaha.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have checked my notes and I decided that 2000 people died in Kul Elna a few months back but eh I don’t feel like changing this cap. Overall, I have no freakin idea how many people lived in this freakin town and they can’t tell us because 4Kids would never allow it.
Which is when Bakura decided to teleport his bean into another bean because this bean is broke.
Tumblr media
Which is when we met this guy, a guy we’ve only met for like 4 seconds of the show so far. Hello there, Original Bakura.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Straight up, he wasn’t on screen long enough for me to over-analyze his accent before he was a small mound of dust on the floor.
Tumblr media
Ah the death count! Oh damn it, I write these notes on the caps sometimes, expecting I’ll put an actual number there later but lets be real, I just need to publish this episode, so let me open the Google doc...
7,805,847,572
Yeah that’s how many people have died in this kids show so far. We’re right on track. Thanks Bakura, for another death, but no you have not caught up with Dartz. Although I will hand it to him, Dartz didn’t end up killing himself nearly as many times as Bakura has.
Speaking of dying and being dead on a kid’s show, in enters Shada.
Tumblr media
So lets go see what Yugi’s up to hm? The four have decided to separate in this Egyptian palace to each find Yami’s name. Mind you...there’s some flaws with this plan.
Tumblr media
The flaw being that none of them have graduated high school or know freakin anything about Egypt, other than they hang out with an Ex patriot Egyptian. (2 ex-patriots if you count Yugi’s Grandfather. Although honestly, are you an ex-pat if you are reborn in a kid’s body on the other side of the world? You are, right? You are). But, whether or not Yami can or can’t read Egyptian in Canonical Yugioh, we know that Yugi apparently super can’t when Yami isn’t in his bean.
And Joey just can’t focus for the life of him, which, damn, relatable. But, he did find a room full of women.
Tumblr media
He also went to the only room with like lots of water. Real pissed focused mind here, and no the piss plotline will not be resolved.
Tumblr media
Tea, still GOAT.
Tumblr media
This castle, man. I love the complete disregard for interiors that this animation team has. Like...what even is the purpose of this weird maze room with masssssive stone tiles, Yugioh? Like...what is this even supposed to be? Why are the tiles so SHINY?
Anyway, lets go back to Shada and hear his excuse for what the hell happened last episode.
Tumblr media
Which is when Aknadin decided to just start cursing everyone, which he would have done earlier if he wasn’t constantly in a sick bed this season.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This very well might be a yugioh card effect that turns you into a rainbow filter, but it also looks like a complete mess of artistic directions on the screen.
Which like, after that cutesy filter, lets pull our eyes out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which is when Yami makes the biggest logical leap known to man.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That’s right! Yami has figured out that this entire time, this entire arc, he’s been sleeping at this RPG table that Bakura’s built in his mom’s basement Yami’s Puzzle Necklace.
In fact, when Yami wakes up to all of this, wearing his normal ass school clothes, and Bakura sitting across from him in his popped collar duster jacket, Bakura says something on the line of “bout time you woke up.”
the fic shippers must have had a FIELD DAY with one.
Anyway, everything is a lie, Bakura is controlling people like puzzle pieces, which not only explains why Aknadin’s motives went a 180, but can lead us to believe that Yami also COULD control everyone else, but just chooses not to. Just like he does in real life.
I think, overall, you just have to go with it. We’re playing D+D, except it’s about your embarrassing past. Like if you made D+D about your middle school experience and you can’t remember your first name.
What a way to die, really. What a weird ass way for Yami to almost die.
Anyway, here’s a link for those new here to read these from the beginning. I have the 2nd part already drafted up, should be up in a few days and not an entire month, haha. Hope your 2023 is looking up!

I’m back! Now onto Void Traps Sans and Papyrus!
So these two, when the underground was transferred to the void, were the least affected by it. With their already physics breaking ways and upside-down logic, they adapted to the void environment like a fish to water (they actually feel... at home in there... they both try not to think about it too hard). They’re also the best monsters to go to when it comes to dealing with Void beasts.
Their Gaster Blasters (Yes, my Papyrus has one too) changed to become more like... Gaster Blaster Dragons. They’re no longer just a head, they have a long, skeletal dragon body to go with it, and they are extremely powerful, fast, and agile. They can till shoot lasers too,
And they don’t just blast away Void Beasts... They eat them.
For some reason, when Gaster Blasters eat Void beasts, they’re able to teleport them outside the underground’s barrier. (Alphys has been pulling her metaphorical hair out trying to figure out how that freaking WORKS!! And Sans, of course, is taking advantage of it and trolling the hell out of her). So you can imagine how valuable Papyrus and Sans are.
Now for specifics on each of the bros:
Trap!Sans
-He’s still lazy, but he’s less so, after all he’s got friends and family to protect
-Time and Space shenanigan's are cranked up to a ten, like, this bitch will casually walk across the ceiling while sipping coffee and tell you ‘hi, it’s going to rain at 3:32 and last for 30 minutes exactly’ all while pulling a big ass umbrella out of his pocket to hand to you... And it somehow only rains inside the umbrella...
-He works with Alphys on her void studies helping her make sense of things... While somehow not making sense at the same time...
-He and Papyrus can navigate the void with pinpoint precision
-He’s still depressed, but much less so (for some strange reason, there hasn’t been any resets since they entered the void... He’s not sure if that’s a good or bad thing)
-Undyne has forced him to wear some armor for his own protection, but he purposely mismatches it, so while it looks cool, it drives Papyrus insane
-He switched out his old blue jacket with one of those galaxy print ones
-...He can sometimes hear things from the void... He wears headphones to try and block it out
Trap!Papyrus
-He’s still a ball of sunshine, but is now a more focused and less theatrical one
-He more noticeably breaks physics on a daily biases (...Yes, he walks across ceilings like Sans does... He secretly enjoys it when he scares Undyne that way)
-He knows his spaghetti tastes terrible but he still gives it to people because of how funny he finds it when people try to save his feelings
-He gets a bad case of the potty mouth when he gets frustrated. (He nearly made King Fluffy buns cry the first time he let out a stream of curses around him... Sans was laughing his ass off in the background)
-He gets along with Temmie… Scarily well... Sans is actually a little concerned by this
-Still, by far, has the best control over his magic than anyone else
-Still loves his puzzles, he’ll actually help Alphys and Undyne with building traps to capture void beasts
-Still very companionate... He’s... Glad the void beasts can’t die...
-...He starts to remember things about a certain flower the longer they’re in the void... He had to have a long chat with Sans about it
-Now has a new and improved battle body, this time made with actual armor
Alright, so this post has lasted forever and a half XD I’ll try to make another one tonight. Please, feel free to ask me about any of this, it helps me develop the world more :)

Black Moon Rising Pt. 2
Tumblr media
Welcome back everyone! Here's part 2 of this lil' AU fic. It was gonna be longer but I already went pass the deadline for like 40 min. So I'll just continue it in the final prompt it the week. Hope you like!
@ulquihimeweek
Ulquihime Week- Day 6- Sacrifice/Possession
Black Moon Rising (Pt.2)
"Inoue, what have you done?!" Ichigo asked in disbelief.
"I did what I had to. Ulquiorra was going to die, and I saved him. That's all that matters."
"All that matters?! Have you looked at yourself?! You're a hollow now!"
"And so were you."
Ichigo looked hurt, but she didn't care. Back at Karakura, she had the same expression whenever they pushed her out of the fight. This time the tables were turned.
"That's not the same, and you know it."
"Is it now? Because if I recall correctly you brutalized Ulquiorra in ways far more horrifying than any of us could imagine, you tried to desecrate his body, you stabbed Ishida-kun when he stopped you, and you were about to kill me before Ulquiorra broke your mask and redirected the cero onto himself.
That's quite different from holding a conversation like we are doing now." She smiled venomously. This change seemed to be bringing out all of the negative emotions that she kept hidden for years. It was relishing.
"I went into that form to protect you! You called for help, I couldn't do anything so my hollow took over."
Orihime rolled her eyes. "Yes, yes, you're everyone's hero!" she sarcastically imitated her old self. "Spare me Ichigo, you didn't go into your hollow form to protect us, you did it because you lost, and you can't endure a loss!"
That got a rise out of the redhead, Uryu held him back. "Inoue, we all came here to save you! What happened wasn't ideal, but Kurosaki was just trying to help."
"Funny how you defend him after almost getting cut open, Ishida-kun.
I didn't ask anyone to come for me, the sole reason I came to Hueco Mundo was to protect everyone! But you couldn't understand that, could you? Inoue's the defenseless princess in the tower, so she must be rescued! We need to step into enemy territory without a plan, and fight everything in a ten-mile radius to save Inoue!
Well, that's done. We've all had our fights and your brushes with death, but I am finally safe. I won't return to Karakura, this form is now permanent, and I have no doubts that the shinigami will have me executed. The Orihime Inoue you knew is gone forever. Leave, tell the others I am dead, and don't return to Hueco Mundo. I won't ask nicely again."
Ichigo's anger was redirected at Ulquiorra. "You! You did this to Inoue!"
"I'm afraid you're mistaken Kurosaki. This transformation was the woman's choice, not mine. Unlike you, I believe she's wise enough to choose what's best for herself."
The shinigami prepared to attack him, but instead of clashing his blade with Ulquiorra's he was stopped by Orihime.
Upon transforming, she'd also gained a zanpakuto, her Rikka's powers had been transferred into it, and the shape of the hilt matched that of her hairpins.
“Don’t you dare touch him!” she growled.
“I’m not going to let darkness take you, Orihime. I’ll defeat whatever took possession of you and we’ll all go back home together.”
“You don’t get to decide for me. Not anymore.” From the moment she woke up, Orihime felt a shift taking place within her. Her body and soul had both changed, and this final disregard for her desires was the final nail in the coffin.’ All anyone ever saw me as was the damsel in distress, not even capable of choosing my own fate. Those days are now over.’
“Woman, do you require my assistance?”Ulquiorra asked her.
She smiled at him. “I shall fight alone, If it’s not too much trouble, could you please take Ishida-kun somewhere safe? I don’t intend to hold back.”
“Understood.”
She teleported both herself and Ichigo away from the scene. The shinigami looked ready to fight, but the moment she attacked he restored to blocking. Ichigo didn’t attack her.
‘The moron still thinks I can’t fight.’
Her eyes darkened, now gold over onyx, Orihime charged a cero into her sword. One strike of her blade all it took to break Ichigo’s zanpakuto.
“You’re out of weapons Kurosaki. I’ll let you go if you swear to leave me be.”
Instead of retreating Ichigo stood his ground. “I won’t leave you.I swore to bring you back home safe, and that’s what I’ll do!"
“You really can’t take a fucking hint, can you?!"
She raised her palm towards him, firing a golden cero. Ichigo tried to evade it, but without his Bankai, he was not fast enough. Ichigo kneeled, half of his body was bloody and mangled due to the blast, but he could survive those injuries.
“Last warning. Surrender or I will detach your head from your body.”
“I won’t! I won’t let Ulquiorra get away with what he did to you! I will save you even if I have to kill him again!"
Orihime would have just rendered him unconscious, had it not been for the threat he made against Ulquiorra, Orihime looked him in the eye directly, her gaze was steel and it seemed like in his final moments Ichigo finally understood she did this out of her own accord. Sadly, it was too late, A delicate strike of her blade cut through him, his eyes remained opened, full of realization, but also lifeless.
Orihime cleaned the blood off her sword with one stroke. ‘At long last, It’s over.’
***
There were many outcomes he had expected from the battle, seeing Orihime return to las Noches with the head of Kurosaki Ichigo was not one of them. Soon after arriving she had fainted and he took her to his room and had one of the medics look at her.
As predicted, Orihime woke up a day later. Her wounds were fully healed, and she was happy to see him as well.
“What happened after the battle?” she asked.
"Lord Aizen has won. He's the new Soul King, but I'm afraid your old town has been destroyed."
She looked sad, but didn't weep. "I see."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize. This was bound to happen."
"If you feel rested enough, we were summoned to the throne room. It's urgent."
"Okay. Let's go."
The walk to the throne room was silent, yet pleasant. Orihime held his hand, and he returned the gesture. It seemed she was fond of the gesture.
Before coming into the throne room he ran into the medic that examined Orihime.
"Hello Cuarta, I see Inoue-sama is healthy." The blue haired woman extended her hand to Orihime. "Nice to meet you, my name's Jeanne Dae, I was your medic."
"Nice to meet you too, Jeanne-san. Thanks for taking care of me."
"My pleasure, I must warn you both, Lady Anna has asked for you specifically and she's slightly stressed. Best not to piss her off."
"Um, I hate to come of as ignorant but who is Anna?"
"Lord Aizen's wife. She's his second in command now and also Soul Queen. Just be polite and you'll be fine. Best of luck!"
Once the medic Arrancar left, they stepped into the throne room. He was surprised to see Halibel and her fracción there resting. Nnoitra was also there talking to Anna. She looked to be angry.
"Nnoitra, I swear, if keep pestering me I shall rip out your remaining eyeball and make you eat it!"
That made the whole room grow silent.
Orihime was slightly intimidated. Anna was six feet tall, with pale skin, black curly hair, and cold blue eyes. Those worries subsided when the woman spotted both her and Ulquiorra.
"Cuarta! You're still as handsome as ever! And you must be Orihime Inoue. I'm Anna María, it's nice to finally meet ya."
"Hello Lady Anna, it's nice to meet you too."
"I'll be quick since I'm sure you both want to rest. Now that Sosuke has finally achieved his goals we won't be returning to Las Noches. I want the both of you to rule over Hueco Mundo."
They were both surprised. Ulquiorra spoke first. "With all due respect, why would you chose us out of the remaining Arrancar?"
"Simple. You and Inoue-san were the ones who finally took down Kurosaki. He was Soul Society's triumph card and I'm certain that if he had lived the outcome of our plans would've changed. The two of you are the most powerful among our ranks and took down our greatest foe. It's only natural to have you take over. What do you say?"
Orihime felt a little uncertain, she had never taken a leadership role before, but the offer was tempting.
Ulquiorra was indifferent to the offer, still he would accept if only to keep order in Las Noches. Without Aizen some of the Arrancar might go unhinged again.
"I'm willing to accept the offer, but I'd like insurance that you, or Lord Aizen will provide us with assistance if necessary."
"You have my word, Cuarta. Inoue-san, what about you?"
"I never considered myself a leader, yet this is an opportunity I don't want to waste. I'll give it my all."
"Excellent! I knew I could count on you both. Now, there's a slightly more personal matter I must address.
Some of your friends for Karakura survived, I can relocate then to Naruki City and give them fake memories of a nuclear explosion occuring in Karakura. This way they'll safe and fully taken care of. Is that alright."
Anna handed her a tablet with pictures. She recognized Tatsuki, Keigo, Mizuiro, Chizuru, Michiru, Ryuuken, and Don Kannonji. Those were the only survivors.
"Yes. Please make sure they're taken care of, just...don't let them know I am alive. I'd prefer it if they all thought of me as dead."
"Consider it done. Finally, Yasutora Sado and Uryu Ishida are locked up in the dungeons, if you authorize it, I shall free them and get them the aforementioned services in Naruki City."
"Yes please do so."
"Alrighty then, I think that's everything. I'll be returning to my other duties, you're dismissed."
With that the tall woman left them and went back to her duties. Ulquiorra noticed she was holding her zanpakuto. 'No doubt she's been ordered to carry out executions.'
"Next on the list it's that Kuchiki Captain...Hmm maybe I'll choke him with that dumb scarf of his." Anna was walking away towards the cells. A reckless idea crossed Orihime's mind.
"Wait Anna-san! May I be granted permission to visit Ishida and Sado?"
Anna was skeptical but allowed it anyway. "Yes, of course. I'll escort you."
***
Ulquiorra waited in the entrance to the dungeons. He knew Inoue was capable of handling herself yet he felt uneasy.
"You're jealous the princesa wants to visit those other men."
Grimmjow appeared from the shadows, it seemed Anna had him as a guard.
"What do you want Sexta?" he asked.
"Nothing. Just heard you and Orihime are the new rulers of Hueco Mundo. I'd congratulate ya but I don't think you find that new role appealing."
"That's unimportant. I took the task because it clear that the others wouldn't be able to properly carry it out."
Grimmjow grinned. "Uh-huh, and what about your mate? She probably did it so that Anna wouldn't chop her human friends to pieces."
Those words bothered him. "The woman isn't my mate."
"She turned into a hollow to save ya, and even ripped Kurosaki to pieces. That screams protective mate to me.
Yer' right though, it's not my business what you two do. Just pray she doesn't change her mind. The girl is too far gone to go back."
***
Orihime let them rage and yell before saying a single thing. After their anger faded she spoke.
"I need you both to stay calm. Ishida-kun your father is alive and will be given proper housing and employment in Naruki City as will most of your friends and as will you. Just let Anna escort you there and do not tell the others of my real fate. For all they know, Kurosaki and I were victims of the fake accident."
"...I don't believe this! You expect us to keep quiet?! Tatsuki was a wreck over losing you, she won't accept it, she'll know it's a lie!"
"Then make her believe it! You're a smart guy Uryu, she will listen to you, the memories are better than..."
"Than knowing what you turned into and what you did to Kurosaki?" Chad asked.
Orihime hit the wall in frustration, it almost fell apart. "He threatened to kill Ulquiorra!" she yelled. "I wasn't going to kill him, I was going to leave him slightly messed up and let him go home when the war ended, but he threatened Ulquiorra. I couldn't let him kill him again. I just... couldn't."
Her friends demeanor changed to a more sympathetic one. "You love him, don't you?"
She couldn't answer. That possibility didn't cross her mind until now. Her silence was all the answer they needed.
"Kurosaki is doing alright. His soul went to the Soul Society and is reunited with his family, Anna made sure of it. She also brought Masaki to them, the Kurosaki's be living in the Shiba house."
"It's true. She came to tell us that before bringing you here."
"I see." In a way she felt freed. While there was no guilt for what she did, knowing Ichigo was well off somehow helped her close that cycle.
"I know you won't forgive me, I won't ask for that, but I will ask you, to have a good life. Take care of the others, follow your dreams and live long and happy. I will do the same, even if we are in separate world's. Just do that in the memory of the Inoue you once loved."
"I promise."
"I promise too"
Both Chad and Uryu gave her a tight hug. This would be the last time they saw eachother.
"Goodbye."
***
He didn't say anything. Not on their way back to the room, and not when he locked himself in the washroom.
Orihime knew something was amiss. Ulquiorra looked tense, angry even. She decided to speak with him.
'What am I doing? This isn't right. I'm acting just like Kurosaki did.'
Ulquiorra had ran himself a hot bath in an effort to calm down. As much as he dreaded to admit it he was enraged by Grimmjow's words. When Orihime returned from her talk with the humans, she had tears running down her face and a faint sad smile.
'She's regretting it. She regrets giving up her life for me. That was a sacrifice that should've never taken place.'
Still, it was wrong of him to act so cold towards her. Instead he should offer her solace. 'I'm all she had left.'
Before he could get out of the marble pool and go back into his room, he saw her standing in the doorway. "Can I join you?" she asked shyly.
Ulquiorra swallowed hard. Orihime had nothing but a towel on, and her pretty face was adorned with a faint pink blush.
"Yes, you may join me." He finally answered with a raspy voice.
He turned away as she uncovered herself, only facing her once she was covered up to her chest by water. Even so, her curves didn't leave anything to the imagination.
"Ulquiorra. We need to talk."
"What do you wish to talk about?"
"What happened down at the dungeons."
He braced himself, and spoke as calmly as possible. "You wish to return to you original form. It's understandable as your sacrifice shouldn't have happened so I shall do what's in my power to help you-"
Orihime placed her fingers on his lips, silencing him. It was then when he felt tears forming in his eyes
Orihime chuckled. "No, you're mistaken. I don't want to go back and I don't regret what I did.
Ulquiorra, I didn't hesitate to sacrifice my humanity for you. I knew what the consequences would be and didn't care. You matter more to me than anything or anyone else, and I don't ever want you to doubt that. I want to be with you forever, Ulquiorra Schiffer."
He felt the tears spilling. Never in his life did he think he could find anyone that would truly love him, yet here she was. From the moment they met he felt drawn. It was as if an otherworldly force took possession of him, and urged him to keep her at his side. Yet when Kurosaki almost killed her, he didn't hesitate to sacrifice himself for her. Now she had done the same for him, and they could be together for all eternity.
"Forgive me for my embarrassing behavior. I shouldn't have doubted you.
I shall confess that I didn't care for much before meeting you, my life was nothing but a dark endless void, until you filled it with light. Your optimistic nature, your melodic voice, your bravery, it is all very enticing. I thought our story would end when Kurosaki turned me into ash, yet it didn't.
You wouldn't let us have a bitter end, regardless of the cost. And I vow to prove your sacrifice to be worth it, every single day."
Orihime smiled wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him close. "It's a promise, my dear Ulquiorra."
She crashed their lips together into a lustful kiss. Ulquiorra had never considered himself to be a lustful man, until that moment. He wanted nothing more than to ravish Orihime until they were both exhausted.
"Let's go back to our room, darling. There's a lot I want to do with you."

S/O accidentally walked into a knife that was left out by mistake. They call the ambulance and then their skele. Skele shows up and SO is all like I didn’t pull it cause I don’t want to die but also I’m mega scared to be aloe please come. How do the skeletons react? As many skeles as possible please
Sans- Wait… How on EARTH did you accidentally get stabbed? He’s going to be worried, you better believe he would either teleport to your house to ensure you okay, and to calm you down, he is going to go to the hospital in the ambulance with you, holding your hand and he may be telling you some puns to get your mind off of it.Though his smile may be strained because he’s so worried, his pun game may even be off! After you get the knife removed, you better believe that he will ask how it happens, and if it is funny, he will tease you for what happened, though it was relieving to him that you were okay. That was what mattered, you were okay, and you were still with him.
Papyrus- He’s coming as fast as he can, his voice is panicked over the phone, asking his s/o if they’re okay repeatedly until he gets there. Once he gets there, he holds their hand tightly, telling them how strong they are, and telling them sweet words, until the ambulance gets there. If you want him to come in the ambulance, he is absolutely going! If not… Well, he’s going to meet you at the hospital with flowers, and a teddy bear! He wanted to make sure that his s/o is all right. That day may have been terrifying for the both of you, so expect him to be extremely cuddly, and affectionate towards his s/o. This made him realize that accidents can happen suddenly, and you can be left with nothing. He wanted to make all of his time with his s/o count from now on. He has a new appreciation for his s/o in his life.
Blue (Underswap Sans)- Oh god, he’s crying on the phone. He’s crying as he makes his way to his s/o’s house. Once he gets there, there are tears on his cheekbones, he quickly goes to his s/o, holding their hand tightly, the two are a mess together, though Blue calmed down quite a bit while waiting for the ambulance, realizing that he needed to be calm for his s/o. He begun telling his s/o that as soon as this whole mess is dealt with, they were going on a date, because he knew that he couldn’t imagine his life without his s/o, and that they were the only one for him. He may or may not have to get a ring while you are getting the knife out, because he realizes that he cannot live without you, and that he wanted to marry his best friend, his one true love. Expect this horrible day to end up in a proposal in the hospital. That’s one way to turn the worst day ever into the best day ever.
Stretch (Underswap Papyrus)- He’s at your side in an instant, he immediately teleports to their side, examining where the knife was, cringing at the amount on blood on their clothes. “Oh sweetheart… How did this happen?” he would question, and hearing his s/o embarrassed answer, he has a blank look on his face, before a light, yet strained chuckle escaped him. He may or may not have texted Blue to get some flowers for his s/o and to meet them at the hospital. He would get his s/o a clean pair of clothes to take to the hospital, and he would be silent on the way to the hospital in the ambulance, holding his s/o’s hand tightly. It was apparent how concerned he was with what happened, he felt genuinely worried, and by god, he hates seeing his s/o hurt, in pain, and seeing their blood. He never wants to see them this hurt again. Expect him to be subtlety protective over his s/o for the next few days.
Red (Underfell Sans)- He’s at their side in a moment, and you better believe he is going to teleport them to the hospital, making the call for an ambulance not needed. He wants them to be treated as soon as possible, but teleporting them to the hospital may have not been the best idea. He may have made things a tad worst, causing the knife to shift in his s/o causing more damage. Yeah, he was in a panic when they had called him telling him that there was a knife in his s/o, flashes of the genocide timelines flashed through his head. Don’t do that again, because if he actually was a human, he would have went into cardiac arrest. And, if you both live in the U.S.A., then you guys would still have to pay for the ambulance that wasn’t used by you guys. Which is stupid. Oh, by the way, he is moving in. Someone’s gotta make sure that doesn’t happen again.
Boss (Underfell Papyrus)- He’s going to be quickly going to his s/o’s house, and once he gets there, he’s at their side, both comforting them and scolding them. How can his s/o not be careful, not be vigilant, and how in the hell did that knife get somewhere where they could bump into it hard enough to impale them. He’s going to be with them in their home after the hospital visit for a month until he can make sure that they’re not going to be that oblivious to dangers again. He wants his s/o to be safe, and if he can’t somehow ensure that they won’t accidentally hurt themselves that badly again, then how can he be the best datemate?
Mal (Fellswap Sans)- He’s going to demand that Rus uses on of his shortcuts to get him to his s/o’s house. He could shortcut, but he hadn’t done it in so long because it was lazy, that he may have been a bit rusty with it. Though once the two of them are there, Mal is by his s/o’s side, and Rus, seeing his older brother comforting his s/o, goes into his s/o’s room to get them clothes for after they get released from the hospital, wanting to give Mal as much time with his s/o as he could. Once at the hospital, he is by their side, the worry had died down into frustration, he scolds them, nearly yells at them for this, his voice cracks as he done so, because he was close to losing someone he truly cared about. Don’t do that again. Oh, and the blood that was left on the floors? Cleaned up by Rus, so that both Mal and his s/o don’t have to deal with those unpleasant memories. That damn lazy bones finally cleaned.
Rus (Fellswap Papyrus)- He’s at his s/o’s side in a single moment, though he doesn’t have his composure, both his s/o and him are basically crying. He was afraid he was going to lose his s/o, he was so damn afraid, he felt panic, terror, and pure anxiety for his s/o’s health. Will they be okay? He doesn’t leave the hospital, always at his s/o’s side. Once released from the hospital, you better believe he ask his s/o to move in with him. He can make sure that doesn’t happen again if they do move in.
Atom (Science Sans)- He’s quick to be at his s/o’s side after he receives the call, he studies where the knife was, having some knowledge of human anatomy, and he is relieved to see that it most likely didn’t hit anything vital, he constantly asks them if they’re in pain, giving them tiny reassurances, until the ambulance could get there. Once at the hospital he felt relieved, people that knew how to deal with this stuff meant they were in good hands, that his s/o would most likely survive this little accident of theirs. He is going to scold them for not being aware of the dangers once they leave the hospital. He is going to be around them more, not wanting a repeat of what happened, at least until he feels that his s/o won’t have a repeat of the incident.
Terror (Horrortale Sans)- He can’t teleport, which is unfortunate for him. God, he wishes he could teleport to them to instantly reassure them, and to calm them down. He is at his s/o’s house within a few minutes, more then likely out of breath from sprinting all the way there. He is going to be at their side, he stares at the injury, he didn’t like seeing his s/o’s blood, he never wanted to see his s/o’s blood. At the hospital, he may or may not have been asked to leave because he scared people, so he couldn’t exactly be there with his s/o once they could leave the hospital. But he’s waiting outside with flowers! And all the knives in their house? They’ve been replaced with much duller knives, or if he thought it was necessary, there would only be butter knives available. He’s taking no chance.
Paprika (Horrortale Papyrus)- He, much like his brother, will rush over to his s/o’s house, and seeing his s/o in pain and bleeding, it broke his heart. It reminded him of what had happened in the underground, it reminded him of what they had to do to all those humans in order to not starve. This brings up bad memories, and this will create even more bad memories. He may be a bit quiet once they get out of the hospital, he couldn’t come with them in the ambulance because he was too tall and he wasn’t allowed in the hospital cause he was terrifying. Can you both just move on from this, perhaps with cuddles, dates, and movies to get this out of your heads? He’s going to ask his s/o to be more careful. He knows anatomy because of their old lifestyle, so maybe he could put that to use in a way to help humans.
Sorry I didn’t add more, I was slacking a bit rip
I’d probably walk into a knife honestly… I have accidentally been stabbed once so it’s not far off haha
Edit: Look, the accidental stab thing happened at school, in middle school specifically, and I had accidentally done it to myself, and I kept quiet about the injury until half an hour later because I didn’t want to bother anyone and there was blood everywhere. I was too freaking mundane and reserved for it to be healthy back then ha

PTA Reader (Platonic!Reader and PTA Sans) Part 12
Summary: In which a school event results in Asgore getting stuck in a bounce house, PTA Flowey is back once again (and apparently really loves jump scares), and Linda learns why you should never insult Frisk while they're alone.
The PTA had been planning a school-wide event for several weeks, and now it was finally happening. There was a bounce house, several hand-made games like ring toss and a dart throwing game, and various snack tables. Even Muffet had been allowed to bring some spider pastries, much to Linda's dismay; mostly due to Flowey's comment that 'If Linda didn't let her bring the pastries she would just be proving to everyone that she was jealous of a spider's baking skills being superior to her own.' It was a Saturday, and nearly all the students had shown up, many with their parents. Fortunately, this event was being held outside rather than inside the cafeteria, so the amount of space available wasn't a problem. Even with everything spread out, one could barely walk ten feet without almost running into someone, not due to it being crowded but because there were little kids everywhere running from place to place. If this had been held in the cafeteria, it definitely would have been a disaster. Not to mention, you had no idea how they would have fit a bounce house in there. You and your sibling ran into Sans and Frisk, as well as Asgore and Toriel, shortly after arriving. Sans was also carrying the flower pot Flowey generally resided in, explaining that Flowey had wanted to come for the sole purpose of bothering Linda. Helen happened to overhear this, and rushed to warn Linda, much to Flowey's annoyance. "Oh, come on! I had this whole surprise planned to scare her!" Flowey muttered. "Oh well, on to plan B." You weren't sure what 'plan B' was, but you figured you would find out soon enough. Anyway, Frisk had discovered a plush dog as one of the prizes for the dart throwing game, and was now determined to win it. Considering it was one of the larger prizes, you figured it wasn't going to be easy to win. The person running the booth seemed to agree, but Frisk wasn't one to give up. Besides, this was the kid who had single-handedly freed an entire civilization of monsters, so winning a stuffed toy wasn't that improbable. Frisk took the darts and stood the indicated distance away from the dart board, a determined expression on their face. Then, their posture changed slightly, and their eyes seemed to turn red- though that was probably just a result of the sunlight hitting them in a certain way, right?- and they threw the darts, one at a time, every single one a bulls-eye. Frisk accepted the plush from the confused person running the booth with a smile, eyes now back to normal. So it had just been your imagination, you thought. Shrugging it off, you followed the others to the bounce house. Your sibling and Frisk entered the bounce house immediately, joining a small group of other kids who had already been inside. Soon, Frisk climbed back out, dragged Sans into the bounce house, and then resumed jumping around while Sans tried to keep his balance. Eventually, at Frisk's insistence, Sans started to jump around inside the bounce house as well, except every time he jumped he seemed to teleport and land on the other side of the bounce house. Soon, the children had created a game where they tried to guess where he would end up each time. Then, Frisk tried to convince Toriel and Asgore to enter the bounce house as well. Toriel started explaining that that probably wasn't a good idea, but Asgore, who thought the bounce house looked cool, actually agreed to it. It wasn't long before he realized he was stuck in the bounce house, one of his horns having been caught in one of the mesh sides of the inflatable structure. It took Toriel, Frisk, Sans, you, and your sibling to get him free, and he promptly left the bounce house afterwards. On the bright side, the children had all found the entire thing immensely funny and Asgore was now known as the 'coolest dad on earth,' at least according to the students at the school. Then you noticed Flowey's flower pot was empty, and immediately started looking for Linda because you had a feeling you didn't want to miss this. After scanning the crowd a few times, you saw her arguing with Muffet at one of the snack tables, and it seemed you'd found her just in time because mere seconds afterwards, Flowey popped up from out of the ground right next to her. Linda shrieked, but before everyone else could turn to see what had happened, Flowey had disappeared again, reappearing in the flower pot a moment later. "So, that was plan B?" you asked. "Nah, that was plan C, but I realized the chance was too good to waste." Flowey replied. "Fair enough."
Bonus - PTA Chara Later, Linda happened to come across Frisk when they were, surprisingly, completely separated from the monsters. Naturally, Linda decided to take the rare opportunity while she had it and started blaming Frisk for all the 'problems' the return of the monsters to the surface had caused her. After all, Frisk never fought or argued back; Linda had heard about this from their teachers and peers. And without the monsters, or any of their other friends around to overhear, it was unlikely anyone was going to stop her from ranting at the poor child. "This is all your fault. You've caused so many problems by bringing those monsters here." Frisk initially just remained silent, as Linda had expected, but then, something changed. They stood up straighter, glaring right back at Linda with eyes that suddenly seemed red, and spoke in a slightly different tone than usual. "Oh yes, blame a child you've barely had one conversation with for the intricacies of all the social disasters in your life. Because that makes sense." "Wha-" Linda stammered, shocked. What had happened to the overly nice child who was kind to everyone? "What, you can't handle the truth?" "How dare you speak to me like that!" Linda replied, fury filling her tone. "Like what?" the child asked innocently. "Do you know who you're talking to?" Linda asked, trying to seem intimidating. "Do you?" That statement seemed incredibly ominous, even coming from a child. Or perhaps because it was coming from a child. Linda scowled. "Now listen here, you have a horrible attitude." "I could say the same about you," the child replied with a smile. Somehow, the smile was even more ominous. Linda shivered involuntarily, but continued anyway. "You need to grow up." "Hey, I still have time to grow up. What's your excuse?" Later, Linda would try to tell the monsters what had happened, but none of them believed her. "You sure this is Frisk we're talking about?" Sans had said, looking amused. "You know they literally wouldn't insult a fly, right?" "But-" "Frisk is way too nice to do that. Nice try, Linda." Flowey had told her with a laugh. "I'm serious!" "Seriously out of it if you think Frisk said any of that," Asgore had commented. "They're the sweetest child I've ever met." "Yes, and I would appreciate it if you wouldn't make such accusations about them," Toriel had added. "I'm sure you would be less than pleased if someone had been claiming such things about your children."

Rockman.EXE Episode 16 Review.
Tumblr media
Is this foreshadowing?
Tumblr media
Hallelujah!
We start the episode with Netto walking around, completely blindfolded.
Tumblr media
Looks like something spontaneus because not even Rockman Knows why is he doing this.
Tumblr media
We get a flashback of last episode where Enzan and Blues perform the Program Advance back when Count Elec did his static trick.
Back to Netto’s blindfolded walk, Rockman tries to help him but it only results in this funny scene.
Tumblr media
And that is why Rockman is the Navi and not the operator, also, I have to point out the lazy animation, right at the start I can tell the animation for this episode is gonna be low quality.
After Netto falls on his back like a turtle, Rockman reminds him that Meiru and Tohru’s battle is about to start, which was mention in the last episode. The match begins and we see Tohru’s un-official plug-in secuense.
Tumblr media
And we get a stand off between Roll and Iceman, who will win?
Tumblr media
The first two of many mistakes we will find in this episode.
After the title card appears, we get a description of both challengers. I am loving Roll’s picture.
Tumblr media
Followed by.. Tohru’s sad picture.
Tumblr media
Again, Tohru?! Does your father hit you or something? Because that’s what everybody’s gonna think when they see your picture!
Mariko-sensei wishes both of them good luck, Masa takes out his special flag, Yaito and Dekao start talking about who will win, and Netto manages to arrive just in time.
Now we start the battle with Roll moving first.
Tumblr media
EAT CANDY HEARTS! I dont remember this part from the dub, though.
Iceman avoids her hearts and shoots a snow crystal at her, which she evades gracefully.
Tumblr media
Meiru decides to send the Aqua tower battle chip with the same beautiful animation for Roll from episode 8, and Iceman tries to counter it by summoning his ice pillars from episode 6.
Tumblr media
This is what happens when two recycled animations collide.
Tohru decides to send the Ice cube or Ice block (Im not sure anymore) and Meiru sends the triple lance chip, which results in a draw.
Tumblr media
As everyone is focused on the battle, Netto doesn’t seem too invested for he is busy practicing the Program Advance with Rockman. Hey, his mullet is back! XD
Tumblr media
That’s mistake number three.
After this, we cut to the training room where two Net Navis are practicing for their next battles.
Tumblr media
The Navis talk about how they are gonna defeat their opponents who are... Bombman and Stoneman? Poor guys.
However, they wont have the chance to even fight them since said Navis suddently appear to take them out.
Tumblr media
Let’s cut back to the epic battle that is Roll vs Iceman.
Tumblr media
They seem evenly matched and everybody talks about how the battle might end on a tie. They both get up again, as Tohru tells Iceman to prepare to use his Blizzard attack, Meiru sends, what I imagine is another rare chip Yaito gave her, the Cyclone chip.
Tumblr media
Which makes Roll start spinning for some reason.
Tumblr media
The Cyclone is a variation of the Typhoon virus we saw in the last episode, which might confirm my theory of Virus chips and Battle chips having the same name.
It’s a face off between Iceman’s Blizzard and Roll’s Cyclone!
Tumblr media
This literally stops time with everybody, who cares about this match, waiting in suspense.
Tumblr media
How will physics play out in this battle?
Tumblr media
Like this, the Cyclone returns the blizzard to Iceman who freezes, resulting on the emo looking Tohru losing the battle. Iceman has been ICED!
The battle ends and Tohru congratulates Meiru for her victory. Oh look, Enzan was watching the battle too, does he have anything to say about it?
Tumblr media
Or he can just ignore it and focus on these mysterious looking giants on the hallway. To be honest, after seeing Enzan’s giant bodyguards, I don’t find their hight weird at all, maybe that means they’re either Americans or Europeons.
We cut to mistake number four with Roll’s hair gone, as everybody praises Meiru and Tohru for their battle.
Tumblr media
Except for Netto who is still doing the Program Advance air training.
Tumblr media
Midorikawa announces the next two battles with the two strange operators, one in the main “flower” dome and the other in the “micro” sub dome, for what I can see from these layouts, the crowd is either really tiny or none existing!
Tumblr media
Their Navis happen to be Bombman and Stoneman! We get full shots of both Navis resulting on consistant mistake number five, Bombman’s eyes are purple when they are suppoused to be red.
Tumblr media
I say consistant since this happens a lot throughout the episode, so I better count this as one.
Midorikawa tells the audience that Bombman and Stoneman’s opponents have not appear yet, resulting in both Navis winning by default.
Tumblr media
Its Drill Mach! Not Drillman! There is already a Drillman. EXE
Tumblr media
Now that I think about it, how does one trademark their Navi’s Name? Does the internet tell you when a certain name is taken?
Anyway, Bombman and Stoneman win by default and Midorikawa says that they remain unbeaten, this not only confuses Netto, but Mahajarama tells the other World Three operators that they are probably the new Navis sent by Dr.Wily.
Tumblr media
After commercials, we see the WWW operators having lunch outside the dome, complaning about these new operators whom they know nothing about. And I’m just focused on the weird hairdo of the little girl running in the background.
Tumblr media
Wouldn’t it be akward if Netto just suddenly appear and see them all together like this and accusing them to be the World Three in front of everyone? But Netto is in the training room practicing the program advance with Rockman while blindfolded, however, something seems wrong because after the official animation for the program advance (in a completely different background BTW) Rockman falls backwards.
Tumblr media
I’m gonna count that background fail as mistake number six.
Rockman tells Netto that there isn’t enough room, but Netto says that he is just too distracted by Bombman and Stoneman being unbeaten.
Tumblr media
I found mistake number seven!
Netto tells Rockman that Higure-san said that all of Bombman and Stoneman’s opponents were attacked before their matches, making both of them very suspicious.
Dekao comes in to tell Netto that the pairings for the upcoming tagged matches are going to be announced. Meanwhile, Higure is trying to get an interview from the huge operators, but they end up destroying his mic leaving him terrified.
Tumblr media
Netto and Dekao happend to see this and decide to follow the mysterious netops, who attemp to murder them by throwing them off the second floor.
Tumblr media
Okay, there is water below, but turns out Dekao doesn’t know how to swim, and Netto does the mistake of trying to help him from the front.
Tumblr media
Which is kind of weird because fat people are suppose to float easily, but it looks like he was just exaggerating since they stop splashing after Saloma appears to help them out.
Tumblr media
FYI, when trying to help somebody who is drowning, never aproach from the front! Always grab them from behind or else they will take you down too.
Anyway, Saloma tells them that she is paired up with Dekao and, by the power of super plot conviniense, are gonna fight against Bombman and Stoneman.
Tumblr media
Its Bombman, not Bomberman!
Tumblr media
I didn’t even now he was in the tournament.
We start the first match of the tag team battles with Saloma’s first plug-in sequence.
Tumblr media
Now its time for the mystery operators to plug-in.
Tumblr media
HOLY COW, THEY CAN TALK!
We start the battle with Saloma telling Dekao that Woodman will fight Stoneman, so Gutsman charges at Bombman and starts punching him. Woodman uses some vines to inmobilized Stoneman, something I had no idea he could do.
Tumblr media
Dekao then sends a Battle Chip to Gutsman which he calls by the wrong name.
Tumblr media
This doesn’t do anything to Bombman, and Stoneman frees himself from Woodman’s vines. The two Navis tell their opponents that they will never be able to move them, making Meiru cheer for Dekao for once.
Tumblr media
I don’t ship them but this is cute.
Dekao sends the same exact battle chip from before but this time with the right name, so I’m gonna count the scene from before as mistake number eight.
Gutsman uses the Guts Hammer but Bombman blocks it with a barrier, and Woodman summons wood towers only for Stoneman to break them as easy as breaking a toothpick.
Tumblr media
During this, Netto tells Yaito that there is something strange going on with the mystery operators since they haven’t move since the battle started, which Miyuki, Enzan and Mahajarama noticed as well.
Tumblr media
In fact, Mahajarama uses an insane Alakazam psychic move to prove his theory to the other World Three members.
Tumblr media
Mahajarama is a POKEMON! That’s why he can use Teleport! O0O
Tumblr media
How can you see that from up there?!
Higure tells her that they are not plugging out and Enzan figures out the truth.
Tumblr media
Who said that? Did Netto hear Enzan say that just now? HOW?!
Stoneman and Bombman, with another shot of Bombman’s purple eyes, reveal the identity of the operators before the whole audience.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are Robots! What is even happening right now?!
Turns out Stoneman and Bombman are completely independant Net Navis, which means that they don’t need operators to battle or plug them in. Which raises the question of how they even manage to enter the tournament in the first place. Maybe the staff is even more incompetant than I thought.
Gutsman and Woodman decide to attack again, but Bombman and Stoneman are just too much for them and end up beating them easily.
Tumblr media
Still counting the purple eyes as one.
Tumblr media
Gutsman and Woodman are forced to log out, and Bombman and Stoneman declare that Sharkman and Rockman won’t stand a chance, spoiler alert!
The next tag battle is Netto teaming up with Commander Beef, who suddenly appears next to him.
Tumblr media
This is followed by Yaito’s remark of the Commander feeling familiar.
Tumblr media
Huh, he helped you get rid of the fire viruses back in episode 13, remember?
So Netto ends the episode staring at his future opponents, determined to beat them.
Tumblr media
My thoughts?
This episode would feel like a huge filler if it wasn’t because it introduced Bombman and Stoneman, although we already saw them back in episode 14, their names were still a mystery. Anyone who played the game know that Bombman and Stoneman were World Three Navis, but there was no mention of them having operators, so the anime kept it that way by making them the first independant Navis.
The animation for this episode was very low quality since it featured a lot of miscolors and mistakes, shots were reused and others were added, and I’m not talking about the dub, this is to save money in the animation.
If you follow me on Deviantart you would know that I call the art style for this episode “Simple”, because it is usually found in episodes that don’t require a lot of movement and the action sequenses are kinda slow.
Tumblr media
An example of this style being used was in episode nine, which also featured some minor animation mistakes.
For the dub version, Roll throwing her hearts at Iceman was cutted for some reason, and for the dialogue change, the scene where Yaito talks about the Commander feeling familiar was changed to her noticing that Masa was gone, which makes more sense since he was sitting above them.

river, part one [starx]
hi
it’s been a looooong while since I’ve really posted any writing (coughLIABILITYcough) but I’ve been working on this for a while and it feels worthy of being put up. Technically, the whole thing is meant to be a longass oneshot, but I figured that with tumblr’s format, it might just be better in shorter breaks.
I’ll post on ff.net once all the parts are uploaded here. I don’t think it’ll exceed 5?
things to note, uhhhhh, inspired by the hook from Eminem’s “River ft. Ed Sheeran”. also @fireflyxrebel ‘s blog bc starx <3 <3 <3 And my innate need to start new stories when I haven’t finished any. Post-Tokyo, sans kiss.
I invite critiques, requests, reblogs, and reviews (i.e. please tell me if it’s garbage :)!!!
without further ado, this is River.
I’ve been a liar, been a thief
been a lover, been a cheat
all my sins need holy water, feel it washing over me
Little one, I don’t wanna admit to something
If all it’s gonna cause is pain
Truth and my lies, now, are falling like the rain
So let the river run
I did it for the look on his face.
Man, you should’ve seen it. I think he might’ve stopped breathing. It only lasted for a moment, but damn, it was funny. Then he started throwing punches. She was dazed and pink but she managed to wiggle out of the red bands that strapped her to the wall. Her fists were clenched, but she didn’t look angry. Confused, stunned, maybe even a little curious.
The next bit was mostly a blur - I was busy dodging his fury, making little comments that only irked him more. I glanced over at her a few times. She was distracted, not really making a move to catch me. He was too busy dealing with me to notice that the only teammate at his disposal was a bystander.
Bird Boy knew my moves well. He landed a few nasty hooks, his steel shoes connecting with my chest once or twice. We were too evenly matched to make the fight come to a clean end. He anticipated the toys in my belt, from the x-shaped shurikens to the scarlet rubber bindings I enjoyed shooting so often.
I played the weakness. I glanced at her again, more noticeably, and raised my palms, prepared to strike.
It worked - he turned around and shouted her name, snapping her out of her thoughts. I shifted my aim and fired, wrapping him in thick red cords.
“Robin!” She shrieked, transferring something from her fist to her pocket.
“It’s been fun playing, kids,” I said calmly, “but I’ve gotta run.”
She was at his side immediately, peeling away the tightly wound bands.
“Hey, cutie,” I called, grinning at the sight of her crimson cheeks, “think about what I said.”
I gave them a two-fingered salute and tapped my belt, teleporting to the rooftop of the warehouse we were in. Ordinarily I’d try to get as far away from them as possible, but I was low on juice and until I replaced the Xenothium in the suit, I’d be stuck making short jumps - too short to escape their field of view.
“What the hell just happened, Starfire?” Ouch, he sounded pissed. Pissed and loud.
I positioned myself flat against the roof, straining to hear more.
“He escaped,” she said mournfully, “oh, Robin, I am truly sorry, I was...out of my skull?”
“Head,” he corrected, softening slightly, “what did X say to you? Where’s the paper he gave you?”
“He merely made another of the date comments,” her voice was meek and apologetic. I could picture her twisting her fingers nervously or playing with her hair, “and I... the paper was burnt by my starbolts.”
That made me do a double take. She was lying.
“He’s an asshole.”
“Indeed. But there is nothing we can do about him now, yes?”
He sighed tiredly, “yeah, whatever. He didn’t make off with much. I’ll deal with it tomorrow. We should head back, patrol wasn’t supposed to run so late.”
“Robin-”
“Don’t worry, Star. I’m fine, just frustrated. You’re right, there’s nothing that can be done right now.”
She seemed to accept this, not fighting back with any words as they exited the warehouse. I scooched closer to the edge of the roof, careful to keep out of view.
“Ride back with me?” He offered.
“Another time,” she replied, sounding alarmingly close, “I believe I require a midnight flight.”
I turned my head in what I assumed was her direction and - well, shit, there she was, floating with her back to me.
“Suit yourself. Don’t be too long, I’ll lockdown the tower after you’ve come in.”
“Thank you, Robin.” She turned and looked straight at me, lips pressed in a thin line.
I made a move for my belt, stopping when she shook her head. It was such an imperceptible movement, I was certain I had imagined it. But I obeyed anyway, waiting for the sound of the bike revving and speeding off into the night, until we were enveloped in silence once more.
She landed beside me and hoisted me up by the front of my suit, pushing me onto my feet. I stumbled back and shot her a glare.
“Ease up, cutie.”
“You do not get to speak to me in that manner,” she seethed, reaching into her pocket to retrieve a crumpled up piece of paper, “I will give you ten seconds to explain what this is before I throw you into the harbor.”
I shrugged, “it’s exactly what it looks like.”
“I do not understand. Even you are not stupid enough to give me-”
“My phone number? Stupid, no, interested, yes. Don’t try tracing it, you won’t get anywhere.” This wasn’t entirely true, but I was pretty confident she’d believe me.
“What did you hope to accomplish with this?”
“A date,” I said cheekily, “or a chat. I’ll be walking away from here with at least one, that’s for sure.”
She frowned, “I am still confused.”
“Me too, actually, why’d you lie to your boyfriend?”
She blanched, turning away quickly.
“He is not my boyfriend.” She muttered.
“Nuance,” I said smoothly, moving to stand beside her, “you still lied.”
“Would you have preferred I allow him to attack you?”
“Well, no, but I’m surprised you took my feelings into consideration.”
She shook her head, “it is not that. I am trying to understand you, and I do not think involving Robin would be of any help.”
“Oh? What do you wanna know?” I moved closer to her, praying that she wouldn’t crush my bones if we touched.
“Why do you do this, X?” She asked quietly, turning to face me, her fingers still clutching the scrap of paper I’d shoved into her hand twenty minutes earlier.
“I can’t help it if I like you, beautiful.”
She blushed and stepped out of my reach, shaking her head, “I am not referring to the flirting. I am referring to...the facade. The persona. X, you are capable of so much.”
Ohhhhhh, fuck. This was not where I wanted the conversation to go. I figured I’d tease her a little, flirt things up, play the game.
“You think too highly of me,” I said quickly, crossing my arms.
“I do not think that is true,” she replied, “you are strong and clever and you have aided us on several occasions. You could be a great asset to the Titans if you-”
“I’m not interested in being recruited, cutie,” I shot flatly, “I’m a thief. I do what I want, when I want. That’s all there is to me.”
“You are wrong. I know there is more.”
“You don’t know me.”
That shut her up. I felt bad, but not enough to take back what I’d said. I wasn’t wrong. She had no idea what she was talking about.
“Then let me.”
What?
“Excuse me?”
“Let me know you,” she said firmly, leaving no room for argument, “you have been persistent about taking me on an outing. I will go on a date with you, if you allow me the chance to truly know you.”
I shook my head, thankful that the mask hid my eyes which were probably the size of dinner plates.
“No way, cutie, you’re crazy.”
She shrugged, “perhaps I am, but I will not leave you with much of a choice. You will take me out on a pleasant excursion and allow me the opportunity to get to know you better. In return, I will not inform Robin of our conversation tonight, or give him this-” she brandished the slip of paper triumphantly.
“It’s a dead number anyways,” I lied, “go ahead, he’ll probably be more pissed at you anyways.”
Her eyes narrowed, lips curving into a smirk.
“You underestimate Robin. And you underestimate me.”
I had to smile at that, “Cutie, I would never underestimate you.”
“Marvelous. Then I shall contact you via this number to arrange an evening for our date. I would appreciate it if you cooperated, but it is not necessary, because this will happen either way,” she said briskly, rising into the air.
“One question,” I said, definitely not getting caught up in the sight of her long red hair flowing in the cool night air, “why are you doing this?”
She smiled slightly, “I believe in chances and goodness. Consequently, I believe you deserve to have and be both.”
“No, no,” I shook my head, “I meant the date.”
She blushed again, “conceivably...it could be fun.”
With that, she was gone, her exit accented by a bright green streak in the sky.
-
X’hal I must be insane.
Raven certainly thinks so. I told her what I had done - used Red X’s affections for me against him. She feels it is a terrible idea. I do not disagree.
I find him to be intriguing. He has proven himself to be worthy of the Titans time and time again, saving us, assisting us, often choosing to help rather than run. He claims his motives are his own, and perhaps they are, but I truly feel there is more to it.
To be clear, I am still very confused by many of his actions. I do not understand why he has chosen crime, nor do I understand why he flirts with me. I am not even sure the flirting is genuine.
Humans are such complex creatures. They err more often than not. Matters of honor hold great weight with some and no weight at all for others. Actions are coupled with intent to determine consequence.
Humans also veil their emotions. They feign kindness to disguise malice. Conversely, they can act cold to hide affection. I have seen it often with Robin.
Tamaranians are the opposite. We are compelled by our soul and our strength. We pride ourselves on our ability to feel, and express our feelings through touch rather than verbally. I have become quite accustomed to the various displays of physical affection humans utilize. High-fives and the bumping of fists in congratulations. Hugs for comfort, friendly kisses on foreheads and cheeks, sometimes hands as a means of being silly or flirtatious. Mouths with romantic intent. This, I find rather foreign.
Raven suggested, rather hesitantly, that I might have agreed to Red X’s request because I have been feeling lonely and I enjoy his attention. I know she did not mean to insult me, but I felt slightly affronted. Mostly because I could not disagree with this observation either.
I have long given up on Robin. Tokyo put a distance between us, an uncomfortable bubble that neither of us have been able to break. He is still my friend. I still love him. But I am tired of waiting.
Red X has always been amusing to me, though I try to hide it for Robin’s sake. I do not need his flirtations or compliments, but I certainly enjoy hearing them. It fills me with a strange feeling that twists in my stomachs and makes my heart work a little faster.
Thinking about it now, I realize accepting his offer may have been too bold of a move. I do not know where we will meet or what we will do or how we will dress. I have no alibi prepared, though I am sure Raven will allow me to use her as an excuse. I doubt Red X will tell me anything of true value. He may choose to use this date as an excuse to ‘put the moves on’ as Cyborg would say. It could very well be a wasted evening.
But, if anything, I do think it will be fun.

An AU where the Wonka kids aren't completely messed up from the tour and go on to live decent and somewhat fulfilling lives.
[Prompt meme: drop a prompt in my inbox, get a one-shot/drabble]
((Thanks for this prompt, anon!  Sorry it took so long.))
He can feel someone’s eyes on him.  The man seated next to him is giving him a very long look.  And this isn’t really that kind of bar.
“Didn’t you used to be Mike Teavee?” The man asks, shaking his finger like someone has tried and failed to pull a fast one on him.
It’s going to be one of those conversations.
Mike Teavee turns on his stool and gives the man a close-lipped but not unfriendly smile.
“I like to think I still am,” the twenty-seven year old says.
The man laughs, like they always do, and it only grates a little.
“Man, that Wonka contest,” the man says, shaking his head, and Mike lets him go on, because that’s all people really want, and it’s not like he doesn’t have the time.  “I spent an entire month’s allowance on Wonka bars.  Can you imagine doing something like that now?”
“Not really,” Mike replies, chuckling politely, even though he never spent a single penny in the first place.
“Still,” the man says, pointing at him again.  “You got to see inside.  You lived the dream.”
“I definitely lived it,” Mike agrees.  “It was a trip.”
“Lucky sonuvagun,” the man says.  “Oh, and hey, my little nephew?  He loves your games.”
By which, Mike has learned over the years, the man means: he has no nephew and is speaking of himself, but is too embarrassed to admit he still games in his thirties.
“Lemme buy you drink,” the man offers.
Mike waves him off.
“Thanks, I don’t drink,” he says.  And then, because he can feel the question of why he is in a bar at all start to form in the man’s mind.  “I’m here meeting some friends.  But: it’s always great to hear people are enjoying my stuff.  I gotta go; nice meeting you though.”
He gives the man a firm but distinctly final handshake, and moves toward a back corner where he has spotted her lurking.
“I think you did not even roll your eyes at this one,” she says, her Russian accent slightly more muted than it was at twelve.  “I am impressed.”
“Prozac,” Mike insists.
Veruca laughs, and it doesn’t grate at all.  The slender young woman is wrapped in a scarf he thinks might be longer than she is tall, a slouchy sweater, leggings, and well-worn over-sized boots.  This seems to be one of the default uniforms of all off-duty ballerinas (and some models).  Her blond hair is pulled up into a tidy bun.  His own hair, by comparison, is a spiked quiff that is a mess by design.
“It’s good to see you,” he tells her.
“Hug me, you idiot,” she demands flatly.
He does.  When he pulls back, a meaty hand lands on his shoulder.  He turns to face its owner.
Augustus Gloop looms over him.  Augustus Gloop looms over almost everyone.  A growth spurt at fifteen that Mike cannot help but envy eventually left the German six feet and six inches tall.  It thinned him out somewhat as well, and although he will never not be big-boned, Gloop is no longer as wide as he is high.  He retains soft edges, a rounded stomach, a slightly ruddy complexion, and a warm friendly face.
“Hallo Michael.”
Like Mike, Augustus has long since lost his high pitched prepubescent voice, but he has retained more of his German accent than Veruca has.  He has also retained his blond hair, but it no longer looks like it was placed under a bowl to be cut.  In a flannel shirt and hoodie that his mother did not knit for once, Gloop looks pretty cool.
Mike lets the German envelop him in a nearly rib crushing bear hug that momentarily lifts him off his feet.  Once released, he goes immediately for Gus’ messenger bag, crouching down, because Gus wears the bag low on his hip, and running a hand over the soft leather.
“This is one of yours, right?” Mike asks.
The German nods.
“Goat leather.  Mother had gotten more orders for them, so she had sent me more hides.”
Sewing, apparently, runs in Gloops’ blood as much as sausages do.
“I have made a batch,” Augustus continues, “and that same shop downtown will take them.  But also there is a crafting fair that maybe I will go to if I have the days off at the restaurant to-…”
“Shut up and take my money,” Mike says.
Augustus laughs.
“Michael, you know I never charge you.  In black, you will want it?” Gus guesses correctly, because Mike remains somewhat predictable about certain things, and Mike is already imagining studding the strap of such a glorious beast as Gloop embraces Veruca somewhat more gently.
“Do we wait for her?” the blond woman asks, more or less rhetorically.
Mike shakes his head.
“We all know she’s gonna be late,” he says.
They head through a door and down a flight of stairs few people know about.  A girl at the bottom recognizes Gus from restaurant circles and ushers them into an intimate space where they take a seat in a comfortable booth with privacy curtains.  Gus is only still a rising star on the chef’s circuit, but it’s funny how small New York actually is.
It’s funny, how they all ended up in New York, at least, for the time being.
(It’s funny that they are here at all.)
Well.  Not that funny.  Each of them walked out of Wonka’s factory exactly as they walked in.  It was their parents who were altered (although also: not physically).
No magic spells, no potions: just as the Candy Man promised, but one thing Wonka certainly was, was an illusionist.  And he had seen immediately who needed to be shown the error of their ways, and few things are as motivating to a parent as the idea of their child in peril.
“I was barely in the chocolate,” Augustus had been the first to explain, the first time they all reunited.  “I fell through a bottom.  I was not in a pipe at all.  It was, I think, a doll to look like me.  The falling in was still startling.”
“Yeah, the bloating was not fun,” Violet had said.  “But those Oompa guys gave me some antacid and it went away.  I got no idea what my dad thought was me that exploded, or what he medically thinks is inside of people, but, uh, thanks for groovin’ on a bop while y’all thought I was dying.”
“Also doll,” Veruca had told them.  “How could I call for my pappa with my head removed?“
“…V.R.,” Mike had reluctantly admitted.  “I thought I seriously got shrunk and teleported inside the internet, but then it went black and I was just down a trap door with a V.R. headset on.  I was kinda bummed, honestly.  But on the plus side: I did get a eight inch remote control replica of myself.  That was pretty awesome.”
And they had all watched as their parents had reacted to their apparent untimely demises.  Had realized the peril their parenting (or lack their of) had placed their children in.
(It had taken Mike slightly longer to realize that his mother had not really been happy about the idea of him being shrunk; that the idea of seeing something like that done to her son and not being able to do anything about it had actually driven his mother temporarily insane, which is probably the strongest and most negative reaction it is possible to have.  But he had gotten there.)
After the factory, things had been…different.
None of them had been punished (because none of them had been truly to blame), but all of their parents had certainly changed their tunes.
And somehow it hadn’t been so difficult to get used to after all.
They sit around a table now, well adjusted young men and women.  Or: woman, at the moment.
Augustus Gloop has been making a steady name for himself as a gourmet chef.  He is working under a celebrity at the moment, producing the epic tasting menu’s the Swiss establishment is known for, but he has headed his own pop-up’s and food carts to great success and reviews.
Veruca Salt is currently a soloist at ABT, after training and dancing at the Bolshoi and the Vaganova.  They have all seen her perform: she is generous with her comp tickets.  She is also undeniably talented.  There have been rumors circling that she may be promoted to principal next season.
Mike Teavee designs video games.  Because of course he does.  Immensely popular games that require strategy, and critical thinking as much as hand-eye coordination.  Some of them have won awards for serving educational purposes.  These games, along with several well-received apps have left him unexpectedly wealthy.  His first apartment is in San Francisco, but he likes the vibe and the weather in New York so much so that he has a residence in the city as well.
And Violet Beauregard is always late.
“Sorry, sorry, sorry!” She says, breathlessly, as she joins them.  “A thing.  But you all know.  I don’t even gotta tell you.”
Violet is a celebrity hair and make-up artist.  She made her name on YouTube, but she’s as legitimately trained as Veruca and Augustus are.  She’s in high demand from both companies and clients.
She frowns at Mike’s hair.
“What happened to the blue?” She pouts.
Mike runs his hand carefully over his ‘do.
“It faded really fast and I didn’t wanna rebleach,” he explains.  “It’s fine.”
“I know you’re punk rock as all hell, but seriously: let me do it,” Violet insists.  “I will do it in yo’ bathroom sink for the sake of your authenticity if I gotta.”
He eventually agrees.
“Your mothers are having the good time,” Veruca says, with a smirk.
Both Mike and Augustus freeze, because it is their mothers she is talking about.  Mrs. Teavee and Mrs. Gloop have long since struck up an unexpected single lady friendship and enjoy taking vacations together.  They are currently on an Italian river cruise making the most of Italy, Italian food, and Italian men in a photograph that is burned in both Mike and Gus’ mind that neither of them are sure they were meant to receive and both are afraid to ask about.
“Yes,” Augustus says, smiling a little more rigidly than usual.  “…jah.”
“Did she drop a new post on Instagram?” Violet asks Veruca.
“I will never get over the fact that you follow my mom on Instagram,” Mike says.
In her retirement, Ethel has joined Instagram.  Instagram is very about her retro aesthetic.  She has been interviewed for ‘Racked’.
“She is crushing it,” Violet tells him.  “Did you teach her hashtags?”
He maybe guided her in her hashtagging.
“Annnnnnyway,” Mike says, changing the subject and turning towards Veruca.  “How’s what’s-his-face?”
“We do not speak his name,” Veruca hisses.  “Ballerinos!  все мужчины сосать.  All men!”
She looks pointedly at Gus and Mike, who know better than to argue with her.
“Yeah, speaking of,” Violet says.  “No more 3am Teavee specials?”
“What is this?” Gus asks.
“I kept getting these late night texts from him, and I’m all jazzed because I think Teavee’s got some serious tea for me that can NOT wait and instead I get bull.  What was the last one?” Violet asks, while scrolling through her phone.  She stops and reads:
“‘Treasures in disguise as monsters’.  What in the Dungeons and Dragons is that supposed to mean?”
Mike has buried his face in his hands, but he’s laughing behind them.
“It was the Ambien again, I swear,” he swears.  “I got off it.  At least I didn’t buy any more non-refundable plane tickets to Shanghai.”
“That was fun, though,” Augustus points out.
“Yeah, it was,” Mike admits.
Off of Paxil, it turns out Mike likes to eat.  Like, a lot.  And still has the metabolism to mostly deal with it.  Gus had been very willing to join him on a tasting trip through Shanghai, lest the tickets go to waste.  The trip had left both with fond memories of Ci Fan Tuan, and You Dunzi, as well as up a pants size, but that’s what vacations in your twenties are for.
Gus, Violet, and Veruca order and then sip cocktails.  Mike sticks to ginger ale and truffle fries.  He has never had a problem with alcohol, because he has never let himself have one, and he knows himself (and his family history) well enough to know that he too easily could.
Things are too good to wreck like that, you know?
He checks his phone.
“Hey, it’s time,” he says.
The others put their drinks aside, and Mike…unfolds his phone.  The palm sized device becomes twice its size, then three, until it is a twenty-inch tablet with an extendable stand that Mike places in the middle of the table, and then taps on.
An app connects.  A screen pops up.  A hand reaches through the screen.  They all help Charlie Bucket until he is sitting in the booth with them.
Bucket is thin, for a chocolatier.  He is only a little taller than Mike, who is short.  He has the same boyish grin he had back when he and his family had nothing.
Mike refolds his device, until it looks like just a phone again.  He spends the rest of the evening wedged comfortably between Gus and Violet.  Plans are vaguely made for another trip like Shanghai, and more concretely for a sort of pub crawl that consists of, instead of drinking, eating dollar slices of pizza until they have located the best one.  Veruca refuses to take part, but will still come along.  Charlie cannot make it: he has a factory to run, but they promise to send him a winning slice.
It’s just one of many good days in a more than decent life.

When your bro has a crush
AO3 link
“HMMMM...THE STRANGE DOOR IN THE WOODS. ACTUALLY, MY BROTHER SPENDS A LOT OF TIME HERE. WHAT’S HE DOING...?
Here it is ! My first UT fanfic ! I don’t find it that good but I’m still proud of it. Basically, this is just Papyrus discovering about Toriel’s existence. And yeah, I couldn’t help quoting Papyrus (this dialogue is when you call him in front of the door).
Reminder that I suck at puns.
Story under the cut :
Snow started to fall as Sans was crossing the bridge leading to the Ruins. He was supposed to patrol at his station and watch for humans but the thing is, when you have a job, you also have legally-required breaks; and it’s perfect to just chill out for a bit.
So here he was, sitting against a giant door, waiting for the sounds of footsteps from the other side, a ton of jokes in mind as he heard her coming, her footsteps resonating in the hall leading to the door. As he heard her being closer, he knocked.
And so they started to crack bad jokes and talk about anything. For Sans, it was the best moment of the day, well, beside the ones including his brother at least. For him, being there with someone who loves bad jokes as much as him, who wants to spend time with him, who always laughs at his jokes –and man ! What a laugh she had ! It was the most sweet and beautiful sound Sans knew, and he was always trying to do his best just to make her laugh a little longer.
As time goes, snow started to fell more and more, and the wind was strong, like if a storm was coming. Despite this, Sans decided to stay at the door, keeping company to the lady. After all, it’s not like the cold could really bother him.
“Are you fine being out there ?”, the lady suddenly asked.
“Uh ? Whaddya mean ?”
“Well the weather seems bad were you are. Are you not cold ?”, she sounded worried, which bothered Sans. He didn’t want to worry her over nothing.
“Nah. Ya don’t need to worry ‘bout that. I mean sure, it’s cold but… let’s just say that the wind goes right through me”
“Yes… I guess so.”, she simply reply with a quiet tone. For a while now, she started to wonder what kind of monster this punny man was and, judging by his jokes, her main idea was him being a skeleton. “But are you really sure that you will not catch a cold ?”
“It’s fine lady, no worries.”, he answered, shrugging “So, got any new jokes ?”
The wind was strongly blowing and it was snowing way more than before as Papyrus was walking back and forth in the living-room, wondering where his brother could be. It has been an hour since he ended his job for today, and he still wasn’t back. Of course, Papyrus went twice check at Grillby’s in case but he didn’t find him. Sighing, he decided to go check his brother’s stations, or at least three of them. The last station he checked was the one in the woods, close to an old place where monsters used to live. When he saw that Sans wasn’t here, Papyrus started to wonder if he was in the woods, close to that place.
BUT WHAT WOULD HE EVEN DO IN THERE ?
And so he went in the forest, following the barely visible path that leads to the Ruins, calling his brother’s name.
Suddenly, he saw a big purple wall, or at least something that looked like a wall. Sitting against it was Sans, looking happy, his head a bit turned at the door. When Papyrus called his name, Sans instantly turned to face him with surprise and a little shade of blue on his face.
WAIT A SECOND. IS HE BLUSHING ?
Sans then stood up, facing the door. “ I…uh…I just remember that I gotta do something.”
Papyrus watched his brother, confused. DID HE JUST TALKED TO A DOOR ? DID THE WEATHER TURNED HIM CRAZY ? OR MAYBE HE’S JUST PRANKING ME…
Suddenly, a voice came from the other side.
“Are you okay my friend ? You sound pretty stressful. Did you forget something that could be dangerous ?”
“N-no it’s just… no worries lady, it’s nothing…I’ll be back tomorrow ok ? Bye!”
Then he turned away, grabbed his bro’s arm and teleported them away.
They reappeared in their house, close to the entrance. Sans let go of his brother’s arm and faced him, looking more surprised than angry, which didn’t stop Papyrus from feeling guilty, like if he interrupted something important for Sans.
“Papyrus, what on earth was that ?! Why did you come in the forest under such a bad weather ? “
“I… I WAS JUST WORRIED FOR YOU.”
“…Excuse me ?” ,Sans started to seem more confused than angry.
“WELL, AS YOU SAID YOURSELF, THIS IS SUCH A BAD WEATHER. AT FISRT I WAS OKAY THAT YOU MAY NOT DIRECTLY COME BACK. AFTER ALL, YOU ALWAYS TENDS TO DISAPPEAR AND COME BACK LATER, WITHOUT SAYING A THING.”, at that, Sans felt a bit guilty, ”AND YOU STRATED TO COME  HOME WAY LATER RECENTLY. BUT THIS ? I WAS SO WORRIED THAT SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED TO YOU ! AND YOU DIDN’T EVEN TAKE YOUR PHONE WITH YOU ! HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT YOU WERE IN A SAFE PLACE ?”, Papyrus looked so sad that it hurt Sans’ soul.
“Paps I … look I’m really sorry. I didn’t intend to scare you like that…but please just don’t come here like that next time ok ? I swear I won’t forget my phone again. But if I do, just don’t start getting worried before the time when I’m supposed to read you your bedtime story.”
“APOLOGIES ACCEPTED BROTHER ! AND YES, I WILL DO MY BEST NOT TO BOTHER YOU AGAIN. BUT PLEASE, TRY NOT TO GO OUT IN THIS KIND OF WEATHER AGAIN.”
“ok.”
Both started to feel calmer. “NOW, WHAT IF WE EAT DINNER ?”
“Ya already cooked dinner ?” Sans tone was more cheerful.
“OF COURSE ! ACTUALLY, I THOUGT THAT IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED TO YOU, IT WOULD BE BETTER THAT YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO EAT.”, Sans couldn’t help but smirk at that, as he followed his brother in the kitchen.
Dinner was pretty silent; well at least before Papyrus started talking as he had finished.
“SANS, CAN I ASK YOU SOMETHING ?”
“Sure”, his brother simply answered, his mouth full of spaghettis. Actually, Papyrus kinda sucked at cooking but spent so much time and effort in it that Sans really wanted to support him.
“WHO WAS THAT PERSON AT THE RUINS ?”
Sans almost spit out his food, his face turning blue. He quickly ate what was left in his mouth before answering with a little and uncertain “what ?”
“THAT WOMAN AT TH-“
“Lady.”
“…IF YOU WANT. WHO IS SHE ? AND WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME THAT YOU MADE A NEW FRIEND ?”
“Well…I just didn’t think it could interest you ?”, Papyrus could say that his brother seems hesitant, “For you see, we just spend time making bad jokes.”
“SERIOUSLY ? YOU JUST SPEND YOUR TIME MAKING BAD JOKES WITH A STRANGER ?” Papyrus was clearly annoyed.
“I do. And I must say, she’s amazing when it comes to it. And her laugh ! And even if we don’t know each other, she’s just so kind ! She’s pretty smart too. Also …”, as he goes, Sans started to look away, more distant. Papyrus couldn’t help but think of Undyne when she talks about Alphys. It was almost like…WAIT A SECOND !
“WELL, SHE SURE SOUNDS LIKE THE PERFECT PERSON FOR YOU, BROTHER.”, Papyrus said, cutting Sans’ thoughts who just answered by a “Wait. What ?”, looking surprised.
“YOU REALLY THINK THAT I’M BLIND SANS ? THE WAY YOU TALK DON’T LIE. AND I CAN CLEARLY SAY THAT SOMEONE HAS A CRUSH~”
“I-I don’t see what you’re talking about !”, Sans way avoiding his brother’s eyesockets, blushing.
“COME ON BROTHER ! YOU KNOW THAT I CAN SEE THROUGH YOU. YOU HAVE TO ASK HER OUT, EVEN IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE GUTS FOR !”
“P-Papyrus…please”, Sans put his hood on, trying to hide his face.
“WHY NOT ASK HER WITH A JOKE ? AFTER ALL, YOU HAVE A SKELE-TON OF IT ! AND YOU ALREADY SEEM TO HAVE TICKLE HER FUNNY BONE !”
“Papyrus !”
“PUNS AREN’T THAT FUNNY WHEN THEY TURN AGAINST YOU, RIGHT ?”
“Ok, I get it, you don’t like my puns ! But can you stop doing that now ? This is getting ridiculous. And I’m not even in love with that lady !”
“THEN WHY ARE YOU BLUSHING SO MUCH ?”,as he said that, Papyrus had a mocking tone.
“Well…I…you know what ? screw this !”,at that, Sans started to walk upstairs, letting his brother with a mocking-compassionate smile.
After setting the plates in the kitchen, Papyrus went into his brother’s room and find him sitting on his mattress and looking at the floor, his hood still on.
“Leave me alone bro”, he said without moving or looking at his brother.
“ACTUALLY, I’M HERE TO MAKE A DEAL WITH YOU.”, this made Sans look at him.
“I’m listening.”
“EVERY TIME YOU BOTHER ME WITH A SINGLE PUN, I WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO EMBARRAS YOU ABOUT THAT WO-LADY.”
“ok. But every time YOU embarrass me for nothing, I will have the right to make a bad pun.”
“DEAL ?”
“Deal !”
But Papyrus always forget about that deal, leaving Sans doing as much jokes as he wants.
Bonus: Imagine, one day, Undyne’s cooking lesson takes place at the skelebros house and Undyne almost set the house on fire. Sans started to get a bit upset at her and at Papyrus for having such a dangerous friend. At that, Papyrus retorts “I LEAST I’M NOT IN LOVE WITH A COMPLETE STRANGER !”. At that, Undyne start to be like “What ! Sans, you love someone ?!” with an almost mocking smile. Sans would shrug it off, make a pun and then teleport away. Then, while Undyne asks Papyrus about that (Papyrus who says that he don’t know why he said that and claims it false), Sans is in his room, screaming into a pillow, hating himself for letting know someone about his feelings.

Xiao Andy’s Comments On Every Video For the Undertale OST
This is pretty long but it’s a very great read and analyzation of the game, high recommend reading this. :) x
* Some tracks were skipped due to the comment being buried under others!
Undertale OST: 002 - Start Menu
“AAAAAA” Not very creative…? “Toriel” I think you should choose your own name, my child. “Sans” nope. “Papyru” (only six letters allowed) I’LL ALLOW IT! “Blooky” ………… (They’re powerless to stop you.) “Woshua” clean name. “Temmie” hOI! “Alphys” D-Don’t do that. “Alphy” Uh… OK? "Flowey" I already CHOSE that name. “Metta” OOOOH!  ARE YOU PROMOTING MY BRAND? “Asgore” You cannot. “Chara” The true name. “Aaron” Is this name correct? ;) “Bratty” Like, OK, I guess. “Catty” Bratty!  Bratty!  That’s MY name! “Gerson” Wa ha ha!  Why not? “Asriel” … “Undyne” Get your OWN name! “Gaster” Reloads the intro sequence. “Shyren” …? “Jerry” Jerry. “Bpants” You are really scraping the bottom of the barrel. “Frisk” Warning: this name will make your life hell.  Proceed anyway?
Undertale OST: 004 - Fallen Down
WHY IS THERE NOT AN OPTION TO JUST LIVE WITH TORIEL I DON’T WANT THIS ADVENTURE I DON’T WANT TO TALK TO THAT FLOWER I DON’T WANT TO FIGHT THE KING I DON’T WANT TO GET DUNKED ON I DON’T WANT TO KILL THINGS I DON’T WANT TO BREAK DOWN CRYING I JUST WANT TO STAY HERE AND EAT BUTTERSCOTCH PIE WITH GOAT-MOM
Undertale OST: 007 - Anticipation
Toriel ain’t having any of that Froggit’s shit. Also note how this is the drumbeat to “Enemy Approaching”.  God damn it Toby.

Undertale OST: 008 - Unnecessary Tension
Am I the only one who got confused by how long the hallway was?  Eventually, I decided that it had to have been an infinitely looping hallway, and backtracked to the previous room because I thought Toriel was trying to test my intelligence.  I felt really stupid.
Undertale OST: 012 - Home
The fact that this song is just Undertale slowed down makes it even more touching.
Undertale OST: 013 - Home (Music Box)
She even turned off the light for you!  What a sweet goat-mom.
Undertale OST: 015 - sans.
I absolutely love how Sans is developed as a character.  You step outside the Ruins, eager to begin your journey, yet still a bit guilty about leaving Toriel alone.  You walk along, the lack of music beginning to unnerve you, when you spot a shadowy figure stalking you.  You begin to think that maybe staying with Toriel would’ve been a better idea, and then the figure is upon you.  And then it’s revealed that he’s a total goofball, sprouting lame puns and trolling his brother.  You think to yourself, “Hey, this must be the comic relief character.  Glad there’s someone to lighten up the mood around here!”   But then, as the game goes on, you start getting glimpses of something deeper at play underneath the laidback persona.  Did he just teleport?  Wait, how does he know about that?  How did he get here?  Why is he saying this?  Who is this guy?
Undertale OST: 017 - Snowy
Perfect song to listen to when you’re curled up in bed and snow is pattering lightly on your window.  So serene and peaceful.
Undertale OST: 019 - Dogbass
“-gamy” is a suffix that means “marriage”.  "Dogaressa" is the title given to the female ruler of Venice.  The more you know.
Undertale OST: 020 - Mysterious Place
If you use the Mystery Key on the door, you get this message: “You used the key. The lock clicks… as the key fails to fit in the hole.” God damn you, Toby.
Undertale OST: 023 - Shop
It’s a very small touch, but I love how you can TALK to the vendors in this game, and they’ll clue you in on very interesting aspects of the game’s lore.  If you don’t talk to Gerson, you won’t know what the Delta Rune is, or why your character can’t just take the SOUL of a Froggit and cross the barrier, and other very important plot-related things.  Most games would just have very insignificant conversation options for their vendors, or just prevent you from talking to them at all.  But not Undertale.
Undertale OST: 024 - Bonetrousle
It’s pretty damn awesome how this battle is set up.  During your entire trek through Snowdin Forest, Papyrus has shown himself to be hilariously inept and incompetent, setting up puzzles that are comically easy to solve and getting outwitted constantly by his brother Sans.  So when he starts fighting you, you’re a hundred percent sure that this is gonna be a walk in the park- and it is.  Bones slide by harmlessly at the bottom of the screen, and your SOUL is completely safe from them (you don’t even have to move!)  Not only that, his fabled “blue attack” turns out to be absolutely ineffective.  By that point, you’re probably not even paying attention to the battle, assuming that it will play out by itself.   But then, your SOUL turns blue and falls against the bottom of the box.  An extremely well-placed bone slides by, damaging you while you’re probably too confused to even react.  He spouts that very memorable line, and then that awesome drumbeat kicks in.  Papyrus isn’t playing around anymore. Or is he?  CHECKing Papyrus shows that he has 8 ATK and 2 DEF.  That is higher than Undyne, who has 7 ATK and 0 DEF.  Papyrus also acts very distracted and unfocused during the battle, constantly shifting his attention to  his upcoming date and his future popularity, and even then he still presents a very serious threat.  He is also apparently more in control of his attacks than Toriel, as Papyrus can instantly end his turn if you drop down to 1 HP, making it impossible to die to him, while Toriel can still accidentally kill you if you’re careless enough.   To top it off, his final “regular” attack (and I’m not even gonna mention the possibility that his special attack could’ve been extremely powerful) ends in a ridiculously long row of bones, topped off by a giant bone that would normally be impossible to jump over.  You are only able to dodge this attack by breaking the rules of the game and somehow managing to float all the way to the top of the box (I imagine that Sans is responsible for this.)  If not for that, you would definitely have lost all your HP on that attack, as there is no conceivable way to dodge them regularly.  I imagine that Papryus is much, much stronger than Sans, but he never shows his true power because he is much too innocent and kind-hearted.  Now, if that innocence were to be shattered…
Undertale OST: 025 - Dating Start
There’s something hilarious about the fact that this silly dating song is a remix of one of the most epic songs on the soundtrack, Hopes and Dreams/SAVE the World.  I don’t know why, it’s just amusing to me.
Undertale OST: 028 - Premonition
What makes this exchange even more chilling is the fact that, if you call Papyrus in a handful of locations throughout the game, he will mention Flowey and his interactions with him.  Calling him in the room where you land on the golden flowers in Waterfall has him say “FLOWERS…?  DO ANY OF THEM TALK?! SAY HI FOR ME!!!  FLOWERS ARE OUR BEST FRIENDS!!” Calling him in a different room in Waterfall has him remark “ECHO FLOWERS… THERE’S ONLY ONE TALKING FLOWER FOR ME!”  Calling Papyrus (after you’ve befriended Undyne) in MTT Resort has them say:
Undyne: “So you hate this dog (Annoying Dog), but like weird talking flowers?“
Papyrus: "THE FLOWER IS MY FRIEND!"
Undyne: "I mean, if having an imaginary friend makes you happy…"
Papyrus: "OH MY GOD!!  HE’S NOT IMAGINARY!  HE HAS A NAME!"
Undyne: "What’s his name."
Papyrus: "FL… FLOWERY?"
Undyne: "Oh my GOD!! You just made that up!!”
Papyrus: “OK, I DID!  BUT HE’S REAL!"
It really shows just how thoroughly Flowey has been manipulating Papyrus.  He’s so clueless, it breaks my heart…
Undertale OST: 032 - Run!
Fun fact: if you take too long to reach the grass during the sequence where Undyne is throwing spears at you, she starts throwing them so fast that they’re nearly impossible to dodge.  Then, when she grabs Monster Kid, he’ll run back and ask you what you did to make her so frustrated.
Toby Fox thinks of everything.
Undertale OST: 033 - Quiet Water
Yup, this is the same melody as Waterfall (and by extension, Spear of Justice), slowed down.  Gotta love that.
Undertale OST: 041 - Chill
I feel like Napstablook and Moldsmal would get along.  Both of them lie down on the ground to understand the world better.  A match made in heaven.
Undertale OST: 042 - Thundersnail
Fun fact: if you lose, but only by a small margin, the snail will think that it won, and Napstablook, not wanting to disappoint you, hands you 30G.
Undertale OST: 045 - NGAHHH!!
You can just feel the anime oozing from this track.  Undyne is anime incarnate.  Telling her that anime isn’t real is like telling God that Christianity is a lie; only a fool would do such a thing.

Undertale OST: 048 - Alphys
Am I the only one who wishes that Alphys had more tracks dedicated to her?  Most characters get at least two or three (Mettaton the drama queen gets seven, if you include the ones that are only five or six seconds long), while this is the only track associated solely with Alphys.  It’s a shame; Alphys is a very nuanced and complex character, and her antics never failed to make me laugh.  Some people found her constant updates and calls annoying, but I found them extremely endearing.  She’s an all-around fun character, and she should’ve gotten some more love.
Undertale OST: 049 - It’s Showtime!
You gotta love how Mettaton is first introduced.  Alphys starts warning you about a "killer robot with a thirst for human blood” and his numerous “anti-human combat features”.  Then you start hearing loud clangs, and the ground starts shaking so powerfully that you and Alphys are jostled into the air.  The screen goes white, and you’re fully expecting some kind of gundam mecha titan robot to appear.  But no, he’s just a metal rectangle on wheels.  A sexy one, but still.
Undertale OST: 050 - Metal Crusher
Funny story: this track is actually what got me into the game.  I was browsing videos one day and happened on upon something that used this track as background music.  I couldn’t get it out of my head, and eventually I found out the game it came from, and it all spiraled out of control from there.  Thank God this track exists.
Undertale OST: 054 - Hotel
WAIT A MAGNIFICENT MOMENT!  WE’RE MISSING THE MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENT! …A HUMAN SOUL! I can’t get over how well Toby can make silly tracks serious, and serious tracks silly.  Here he takes the melody to the most tearjerking, heartbreaking song in the soundtrack (Undertale, Track 71) and remixes it into a cozy little track for a cooking show or staying at a resort.  Truly a god.
Undertale OST: 062 - Oh! Dungeon
If you avoid stepping on any green tiles, Mettaton’s reaction is pretty funny.   “Well well well. Welly well well. Well welly well well, well well welly. You never stepped on a green tile. (awkward silence) AND NOW YOU’RE GOING TO DIE.” battle starts If you manage to complete the puzzle, somehow, Mettaton will deactivate the flames, and then Alphys will call and shout that she’s gonna save you.  When Mettaton tells you that you already beat the puzzle, Alphys says “What?  THAT puzzle?” before quickly regaining her composure.  You’re a really bad actor, Alphys.
Undertale OST: 063 - It’s Raining Somewhere Else
Some people probably think that Sans’ line (You’d be dead where you stand.) was uncalled for, and that it came out of the blue, especially if you’re on a Pacifist playthrough, but I think Sans was totally justified in spooking you like that.  In my headcanon, Sans is faintly aware of the events that occur in alternate timelines, and as such knew that the human that stepped out of the Ruins had the potential to become a genocidal, world-ending maniac.  However, due to his friendship with Toriel, he decided to take his chances and hope that you went down a different route.  This warning is meant to scare you out of doing a Genocide playthrough, because despite the fact that you’ve been a kind, caring and pacifistic little kid so far, he knows that at any moment that could change.  And he won’t tolerate that.
Also note how the main melody of this track is just “sans.” slowed down and played on piano.  Sans, as lazy as ever.
Undertale OST: 064 - CORE Approach
Calling Papyrus and Undyne at the entrance of the CORE is really saddening.  They’ll tell you that since the CORE is made of electricity (or something), you won’t be able to call them.  Papyrus tells you that there’s no such thing as “goodbyes” when it comes to his friends, only “see-you-laters.”  Undyne laments the fact that you’re going to leave, since you just started being friends with her and she wanted to do so much more with you.  They’ll both tell you that they’re there in spirit, and that they believe in you, before hanging up.  Friends till the end.
Undertale OST: 065 - CORE
I absolutely love how this track plays over the normal battle theme.  And I also love how the enemies you encounter there are versions of the enemies you encountered in the beginning of the game who have gotten over their problems and grew as characters just as much as you.  You started out as a scared, lonely kid, but have turned into a determined force of nature who will let nothing stand in the way of their friends.  Whimsun started as a meek, timid monster who couldn’t bring themselves to hurt anyone, but has now become a mercenary who has no qualms about their decision.  Froggit started out as a confused, unhappy monster whose life was difficult, but now its future looks brighter and brighter.  And Loox has become the bully that he always hated.  It really makes you feel the culmination of your journey, and how far you have come.
Undertale OST: 071 - Undertale
“Before the song ‘UNDERTALE’ was completed, it went through a completely different iteration.  That version sounded a bit more sad, which I think would have been less effective.” -Toby Fox regarding an unused version of this track, released on the anniversary of the game Therein lies what I think makes this track so special.   Many fans praise Undertale for being the saddest track in the game, and I’m not one to disagree.  Hell, I’ve never once been able to listen to the whole track without shedding at least a single tear.  And it accompanies one of the most emotionally climactic scenes in the entire game; when every monster you’ve befriended throughout your journey relays to you a tale.  A tale of heartbreak, a tale of sorrow, of death and loss, of a family torn asunder and the hope of an entire civilization extinguished.  Why, then, would Toby Fox decide that making the track sadder would lessen its effectiveness? Because Undertale isn’t about sadness.  It’s about hope.  Love.  Kindness.  Compassion.  Mercy.  And above all, holding onto these precious things in the face of pain and sadness. That’s what this track conveys perfectly, I believe.  The tale of the fallen child is undoubtedly a tragedy, the monsters going at length to describe the devastation it wrought on both the Dreemurr family and monsterkind as a whole.  The future of humans and monsters had died, and the prince of their world’s future along with them.  The monsters tell you that at that moment, the underground had lost all hope. But at that very instant when the narration appears on screen (5:20), the music swells, shifting to a new key; an outburst of hope, joy, unconfined love and compassion.  There is hope in the underground, and there’s hope everywhere.  You just have to keep holding on.  That’s what this track conveys to me. Yes, this song makes me cry.  Not out of sadness, it’s not a song about sadness.  It makes me cry out of joy.  The type of tears that roll down your face and past the edge of your trembling, hopeful smile. Because you should be smiling, too.
Aren’t you excited?
Aren’t you happy?
You’re going to be free.
Undertale OST: 073 - The Choice
It’s truly touching how proud Sans sounds when he judges you on a Pacifist playthrough.  I think part of it is due to the fact that he knows that you had the potential to become a genocidal monster, to kill his brother and ruin everybody’s lives, but you didn’t.  You stayed strong and didn’t let the trials you faced steal your humanity.  Because despite everything, all the fights and attempts on your life, all the misadventures, surprises, and tears, you’re still you.
Undertale OST: 075 - Barrier
I really liked the shift in graphical style for the barrier.  It was a nice precursor to the horrible monstrosity that was Omega Flowey.
Undertale Ost: 076 - Bergentrückung
Fun fact: Bergentrückung is a German phrase which translates to “king in the mountain.”  It is a literary trope used to refer to a character who is “asleep” (usually either missing or dormant due to magic or something), who has not appeared for a long time.  However, when people need them the most, the character will awaken and save the day.  It’s rather ironic that Asgore’s pre-battle theme is named after this, since everything about him is presented as an inversion of this trope.  He’s not a hero who has finally decided to take action to liberate his subjects from a terrible prison; he’s just a regular person, burdened with a terrible choice.
Undertale Ost: 077 - ASGORE
I absolutely love how Toriel’s theme, Heartache, and the game over theme, Determination, are the main components of this track.  Asgore really is not that different from Toriel; you don’t want to fight either of them, and they don’t want to fight you, but neither of you are willing to compromise your goals, and a reluctant battle is held.  The only difference here is that Asgore is willing to kill you, but not out of malice; he’s just as gentle as Toriel, but the pressure from his people simply wouldn’t let him.  And the fact that the game over music plays seems to tell me that even while fighting you with the full intention of taking your life, he is still rooting for you and hoping that you succeed- in fact, he’s probably rooting for you more than he is rooting for himself, since if he wins, he not only becomes a murderer, but must also partake in a horrible, genocidal plan that will stain his hands red forever.  It’s such a complex, powerful battle, and it’s probably my second favorite in the game.
Undertale OST: 080 - Finale
This boss battle is god damn perfect.  Every little aspect of it, from the presentation to the music to the gameplay, is executed flawlessly.  Throughout the battle, there’s that sinking, awful feeling of despair as you’re faced with an abomination that you can never hope to defeat- who is so unimaginably powerful that your only chance at survival is to dodge frantically as the universe is literally crumbling around you.  There is nothing you can do but cower in fear as Flowey torments you with his powers, saving and loading files to disorient you, channeling the power of each SOUL to attack you, crashing the game, etc.  But then, that glorious moment, when those five blessed words appear on the screen: “Flowey’s DEFENSE dropped to 0!”   Now you have a chance.  Now you can finally give this damned flower what he deserves.  Now… you are filled with DETERMINATION. Personally, I like to imagine that the increased damage is not only a result of the SOULs lowering Flowey’s defense, but also a result of Frisk finally regaining the will to fight back.  They’d given up any hope of seeing their friends again or returning to the surface, resigning themselves to this fate of eternal torture, and they were unable to bring themself to do more than a few points of damage.  But then, the SOULs give them an opportunity to fight back, to be reunited with their friends.  And they take that opportunity, with everything they have.
Undertale OST: 081 - An Ending
Some of the neutral endings to this game are pretty screwed up.  Many of them involve Alphys killing herself over the loss of Mettaton and her guilt over the Amalgamates.  Toriel can be banished from her position as queen by a revolutionary force led by Undyne herself, who then assumes power and vows to kill any human she sees.  Papyrus can become king, naively believing that all his friends are simply on vacation, while Sans works his ass off behind the scenes to keep his brother happy.  Mettaton can become king and execute anyone who speaks out against him.  The Underground can descend into complete anarchy, with nobody at all fit to rule.   Then of course there’s the Annoying Dog ending, where the Annoying Dog becomes king.  And somehow everyone is happy because of this.
Undertale OST: 083 - Here We Are
I think the most disturbing part of this track is the fact that it’s just a heavily distorted and darker version of Alphys’ theme.  It really goes to show just how much regret and guilt Alphys is hiding over the DETERMINATION experiments. Lynxgriffin’s comic and her follow-ups really drive home the emotional trauma must’ve experienced in this lab.
Undertale OST: 084 - Amalgam
Out of all the Amalgamations, I think the most tragic one has to be So Cold, Snowdrake’s mother.  While other Amalgamations are made up of a handful of monsters (Reaper Bird is made up of three- Final Froggit, Whimsalot and Astigmatism- and Lemon Bread is made up of three- Aaron, Shyren’s sister and Moldbygg), Snowdrake’s dad states that So Cold is made up of sixteen different monsters.  But despite that, So Cold is still hanging on to her individuality, while the other Amalgamations seem to have given up and merged together into one collective consciousness (see Reaper Bird’s overlapping speech patterns and Lemon Bread’s multiple text boxes.)  A mother’s love for her son was able to keep her alive, even in the most trying and nightmarish of circumstances.
Undertale OST: 085 - Fallen Down (Reprise)
This reunion scene takes a bit of a dark turn when you think about it.  Papyrus’ statement implies that Flowey manipulated him into bringing everyone into the room so he could take their SOULs… but Toriel came of her own accord, if Alphys’ statement is anything to go by.  So if Toriel showing up wasn’t part of Flowey’s plan, and she only came because she felt concerned about your safety, why does Toriel show up in the True Pacifist Ending and not the Neutral Ending?  Because all the time you spent exploring the True Lab gave her enough time to make up her mind about coming to your rescue.  In a Neutral Ending, she must’ve made up her mind too late, and arrived to see her former husband dead, her adopted child gone, and (possibly) her son, in flower form, dead.
Undertale Ost: 086 - Don’t Give Up
This moment right here was when I realized it was all worth it.  All the effort I put into sparing each and every monster I encountered, racking my brain to try and figure out how to get their names yellow, all those times I fought down the urge to just use the FIGHT option and proceed through the game like a regular RPG… it was all worth it, just to see this scene.  This was the crowning moment of the True Pacifist Ending for me; it showed the culmination of all the bonds and friendships you’ve made over your journey, and drove home just how far you’ve come.
What’s a tiny little flower against the combined hopes of everyone in the world?
Undertale Ost: 088 - Burn in Despair!
Notice how Asriel’s true form vaguely resembles the Delta Rune from the prophecy.  All along, he was the angel who had seen the surface who would empty the underground, not you.
Undertale OST: 090 - His Theme
Asriel did nothing wrong.  He tried to be Chara’s friend and went through hell and back for it.  He was punished for being kind to someone who didn’t deserve any kindness, for staying loyal and trusting to a backstabber only looking out for themselves.  Essentially, he did the exact same thing that you’ve been doing throughout your entire Pacifist playthrough, but received no reward or redemption from his efforts.  You can’t even save him in the end; you’re forced to let him stay in the Underground, spending the rest of his days as a flower.  Truly a tragic character.
Undertale OST: 091 - Final Power
I think there’s something that most people gloss over when it comes to Asriel deciding to destroy the barrier.  In the Genocide Run, Flowey’s dialogue in New Home makes it clear that he expects humanity to slaughter the monsters the moment they exit the barrier, and it makes sense that he’d come to this conclusion; the last time he crossed the barrier, he was murdered in cold blood for a crime he didn’t commit.  That experience probably tainted his view of humans, to put it lightly, and he probably doesn’t trust them at all, even when he reverts back to Asriel form.  But his brief experience with you, where you forgive and comfort him, was enough to change his perspective enough to break the barrier for everyone else.  His selflessness and your compassion are both truly amazing.
Undertale OST: 092 - Reunited
Man, walking around the Underground while this track plays in the background, talking to each and every monster that I’ve befriended and gotten to know over the course of the game… that’s when I knew.  This game is my favorite game of all time.
Undertale OST: 094 - Respite
FINALLY YOU GET TO LIVE WITH GOAT-MOM
YES
Undertale OST: 095 - Bring It In, Guys!
God, this track just wraps things up so well.  Combined with all the flavor text of the monsters you’ve spared and the clips of all your friends living happily on the surface… perfect way to close the game.  Absolutely magical experience.
Undertale Ost: 097 - But the Earth Refused to Die
This is part of Alphys’ theme, believe it or not.  Yes, the song that plays when Undyne finds the strength to rise from the ashes of death and fight for what she loves and believes in is Alphys’ theme.
Think about that for a while.
Undertale OST: 100 - Megalovania
Scratch that; I do have something worthwhile to comment on this track. Everyone knows how a majority of the tracks in the OST are simple remixes or reworkings of each other, and almost every track is linked in some way.  That doesn’t apply to Megalovania; it’s the odd one out.  Now, there’s an out-of-universe reason for this, in that it wasn’t originally composed to be used in Undertale, but I think there’s an in-universe reason for it too.  This isn’t Sans’ theme, as most people have deduced.  But this isn’t Chara’s theme song, either.
It’s yours.  You, the player, have become the megalomaniac obsessed with LOVE.
That’s why it’s unrelated to the rest of the tracks; you’re not part of Undertale’s world.  You’re an outsider looking in, and because of that, your song doesn’t belong.  It forced its way in, just like you forced your way into everyone’s lives through Frisk and Chara.  Chara may be an evil, genocidal maniac, but you?  You’re the ultimate villain.  And this is your song.
Undertale OST: 101 - Good Night
Finally completed my quest to comment on every single track.  What a ride.  Thanks for sticking with me throughout the OST, those of you who’ve been reading my comments.  It was an awesome experience trying to find something worthwhile to comment on each track and it really made me appreciate some of the subtler stuff in the game.  I hope at least one of my 101 comments helped you discover something that you hadn’t known previously.  It’s been fun, Undertale.  Good night.
