Have You Eaten? is out this week!
If you’re thinking “what do you mean, you have a new project out? I haven’t heard of this!” don’t worry – you’re not alone. Have You Eaten? is a project that has been years in the making, under cover of darkness, and now I finally get to tell you about it!
In a near-future world where you can't trust anyone but your closest companions, nothing matters as much as the family you choose. Have You Eaten? is a serialized novella about queer dirtbags on the run, searching for their missing best friend. It's the story of how they nurture and nourish each other with their limited emotional and material resources. The entire novella is out this week over at Reactor, with sections going up each day between now and Thursday. You can read Part 1 now.
Each installment of Have You Eaten? is accompanied by an original recipe from my recipe box. You'll also find stunning original art from friend of my heart and genuine superstar, Shing Yin Khor. Video game I saw in a dream. It was in this low poly style like an older video game. You play as this character I think was meant to be a lamb, or maybe a weird mix of a lamb a mouse and a rabbit, (while not really looking like any of those things) and you’re running away from a wolf. Your objective is to last as long as possible before the wolf catches and eats you.
The house you’re running in is endless and bizarrely put together like most building interiors in dreams are (like the infinite toilet dream dimension on Reddit lol) the layout of the house is pretty detailed, you can stop and hide in places like closets or bins while the wolf looks for you, you can go up and down stairs and into rooms etc.
You never actually know where the wolf is or how close it is to you until it appears in your line of sight, it makes no noise and the game gives you no way of knowing where it is, and it’s pretty unpredictable it doesnt move at a consistent pace. When the wolf catches you there’s an animation showing it eating your character

One of my favorite things, genuinely, is how often ppl make McCoy shorter? He's either the exact same height as Kirk (if you go by Shatner's "official" height), or he's slightly taller than Kirk (if you see any scene where their actual height is accurately seen lmao), BUT he slouches so much and gives off such short king energy that half of fandom was like? McCoy? He's tiny!!!!
