I haven’t seen anyone talk about this but did anyone else hear the soft “goodbye” in pt 23 of malevolent when Arthur is about to make that one jump? It’s around 30:40 but it goes:

A: “I’ve come so far”

Y: “…and”

A: [sigh]

…

?: (Softly) “Goodbye”

A: “And I’ve got miles to go before I sleep”

Thinking about that in juxtaposition to pt 26 when he tries to make that same jump again but with John and misses. He only says “I’ve come so far” before making and missing the jump. If you listen close enough you can hear me sobbing in the background!

I'll say completely independently of any of my Knightfall investment I'm really loving Ruby's development so far (as I expected, which is... nice... my optimism proved true). I love that there is genuinely that complexity there to her denying her true feelings and refusing to confront them because so many people wrote it off as just bad writing.
