I don't know if this is an odd request or not but Eugene x fem reader who's like Maggie's sister. And they get really close after they meet and it's super obvious that eugene is into the reader. And the night in 5x5 episode where GREATM is sleeping in the library eugene and reader are laying down next to the little fire they have going (eugene is laying on one side of it and reader is laying on the other side) and they are sitting and talking (mostly eugene rambling) and they end up sleeping together that night after everybody else goes to bed?

It was just the two of you up besides Glenn who was taking watch at the window for the next couple of hours. Maggie and Tara were asleep on the other side of the bookshelf to the left of you. Abraham and Rosita were asleep on the other side of the shelves to the right.
"Do they always fuck that loud?" You blurted, and Eugene could feel his face heating up. Not only did he just realize how intently he was staring at your face while you laid on your back and stared up at the ceiling, but you had also asked him a quite bizarre question. Maybe that's what he liked about you. How ruthless and random you were. He liked that you seemed to have zero shame when it came to asking about people you hardly knew. He wondered if you had always been that way, or if the hardness of the world had changed your personality.
"Well, not every night," he started, his fingers playing with a few strands of his hair while he lay on his side. His eyes fixated on the small can that still had some ambers within it. The little can that separates you from him.
"I mean, some nights they don't even. I reckon they're fighting those nights. Or something happens and they just don't have the time. Abe's always been quite obnoxious though. Sex or not, he wants the world to hear him it seems." He rambled, and you smiled over at Eugene with this smile that had his brain lagging. He swore he'd never felt this way toward anyone in his life. Sure, he'd steal glances from Rosita here and there. Plus, he liked how badass she was, but you? You felt so different from him. You had this sweet and silky demeanor to you. Like if he touched you all of his problems would vanish and he'd be enveloped in this warmth that only you could give him.
"Well, it's annoying," you snickered, rolling onto your side so you could face him. His eyes hesitantly flashed up to meet yours, and he swore that was his worst mistake of the night. Your eyes were so easy to get lost in. He wondered how you weren't spoken for with how drop-dead gorgeous you were.
"Did you game before this all started?" You asked, and he shook his head. Yet again having to pull his thoughts away from how distracting you were. "What?" He asked, and you giggled. The noise had his heart beating even faster in his chest. His eyes looking everywhere but at you. Terrified that if he looked at you then you would know what he was thinking.
"Did you play any video games before all of this?" He swallowed thickly at the question and tried to think of how to respond. You were treading on thin ice right now. Before you knew it you were going to have Eugene talking all night. He could never shut up when the topic of his special interests was brought up. It had his heart swelling at the fact that you wanted to know more about him.
"Well, I would like to consider myself a gamer. I wasn't the best with gaming chats, some people got too darn mean, but I liked hearing the commentary when I would absolutely kick ass." He added, and he felt his lips pull up into a small smile when you smiled at him. "What games were your favorite?" you asked, and he sighed. his fingers drummed on the floor while he looked around in thought.
"Well, I enjoyed an array of games. First-person shooter games, Puzzle Games, RPGs, and a wide variety. I enjoyed coming home from work or school to sit and play some Galaga or Minecraft here or there. Borderlands was a good one, super beautiful character development in those games. Call of Duty could be fun at times, wasn't much a fan of the people who would play that game though." He rambled on before he realized how much he was talking.
Eugene cleared his throat. He looked up at you with bashful eyes, nodding his head toward you. "Did you have any games you liked?"
He watched closely while you looked around. The way you seemed to think as if you were questioning lying or not. Then this deep sigh fell from your lips and he half wondered if you were upset. "Well, not really. I grew up on the farm with Maggie and..." your eyes drifted with this look of hurt that had his heartstrings tugging. He barely knew you and he hated seeing you look so upset. He knew enough about you already to know you didn't deserve whatever pain you were experiencing right now. "Our other sister, Beth. We didn't really have any time to play games other than the ones outside. Plus, Daddy was never a fan of them. Claimed they would rot our brains." You told him, and he nodded. Making a mental note to find some sort of gaming device in the future so you could play one with him.
"Well, he's not entirely wrong. I used to procrastinate on college work by gaming all day and night. Even missed a few classes because I would stay up too late." He told you, and you nodded with a sigh. "What did you do, then?" He asked, wanting to hear more of your voice. More about you.
You shifted in your spot, and he did as well. "Well, I used to help my family on the farm. That took up a lot of my time, really. I didn't even get to move out. I was always worried Daddy didn't have enough help, and he was already so lost when Maggie left for school. I couldn't leave," you rambled, and he was enraptured by you. You had every ounce of attention that he could give to you as you told him on and on about your life. Whether it be the games you and your little sister Beth used to play. Or how you and your uncle used to hunt. Or how you used to tend to the animals. He would remember everything, God as his witness.
When neither of you really had any more to talk about, it was silent again. You could hear Abraham snoring, and the faint sound of groaning from the walkers that aimlessly roamed the streets outside. Neither of you knew what to say.
His eyes focused on your form in the dark when you shuddered. His brows furrowing with a curious grin in his eyes. "Are you cold?" He asked, and he was acting before you even had time to answer. "Take my jacket, I suspect that you are in need of it more than I," he told you, offering the coat, and you felt your stomach flip at the offer. That was the kindest thing anyone had really done for you since all of this started. Besides Daryl being there to help you and Beth when you each got separated from the prison. Or when he helped you after you lost Beth. Daryl and Glenn were really the only two of the group that you believed would treat you as kind as Eugene was. Even then, this felt different than their friendly demeanors towards you. It felt less brotherly and more romantic?
"Eugene, I don't want to take your coat," you chuckled, and he raised a brow. "We could share it? Our combined body temperatures would keep the both of us equally warm. If not you warmer than me, being that I'm a man and we tend to let off more body heat due to muscle mass. Plus with my size, it would be the most efficient way for you to stay warm. Unless you're uncomfortable with it, that's more important than you being slightly cold. If the temperatures were below freezing I would fight over the matter more, but that's not the case," he jabbered in a matter-of-fact way. It made you smile at how intellectual he always was. Even the jokes he told he always said it with this "I'm smart, and I know it," attitude.
"If this is your way at flirting you have a funny way at doing it," you shot, and that was quick to make him shut up. His brows furrowed and he gave you this look that almost made him look half offended that you were accusing his scientific and worried arguments of him just wanting to lay beside you. "Though lying beside you would be a plus, I am only suggesting it out of concern for you. I promise you, I'm not some pig, I would never use the word of science to get in a woman such as yourself's pants," he spoke, and you raised a brow when he came to sit beside you. "You deserve a gentleman, nothing less, and I will stand by that," he finished, and you smiled.
He didn't really know what to do from here, his mind was racing a mile a minute and he wondered if he was overstepping boundaries by simply moving around that stupid tin can so he could sit beside you. He tried his best to chase his racing thoughts away while he lay down on the floor beside you. His back pressed against the hardwood. Saliva pooled in his mouth that he quickly swallowed away. He despised how awkward and anxiety-ridden he always was. He wished he could be normal and not overcomplicate every single thing he did.
His body stiffened when you grabbed the coat from his hands. Draping it over the both of you so you could curl up beside him. This time he felt a shudder from you, and it nearly had him shuddering. Just he wasn't cold. "If this is too much, you let me know," he muttered "Eugene," he turned his head to look over at you. Your face was a hell of a lot prettier up close. "Hold me, please."
He couldn't say no to that offer, especially with how soft your voice was. He felt like he was a sailor, and you were a siren coaxing him into the water with you. Turning on his side so he could wrap an arm around your body and pull you close. Your body felt so warm and cozy up against his. A soft breath left his lips while his eyes fluttered shut. He prayed this moment would never end.
"I know I said I wasn't trying to get in your pants, but may I maybe steal a kiss from you? If that's not weird, I could be getting the wrong vibes from you, I apologize if I am, and I-" a muffled gasp left his mouth when your lips were pressed against his. He was so lost in his ramble that he wasn't even paying attention to what you were doing.
Your lips on his had his body bubbling with a feeling he swore he had never felt. It felt like straight electricity, and his dopamine levels were through the roof. A cocktail of feelings was shooting through his brain right now and he hardly knew how to react. He kissed back, but he was so stiff with it. He'd never done this before, how was he supposed to kiss? Was he too rough, too hard? What if he was fucking this all up and you didn't want to ever kiss him again.
"Eugen, relax," you muttered against his lips, and his eyes fluttered shut. "Sorta hard when I got a pretty gal such as yourself kissin' me," he spoke and you chuckled, kissing his cheek. "All right, then you kiss me. It's fine, I've got no idea what I'm doing either," you snickered, and for some reason that eased his worries away. It was hard to believe, but it made him feel like less of a loser.
One of his hands came to shakily rest on the side of your face. His thumb brushed the apple of your cheek. His eyes were parted once more so he could see what he was doing. Once he leaned back in and his lips caught yours in a kiss they were closing. This time he felt more at ease like maybe he could figure out what he was doing. He was a perfectionist, after all. He'd get the hang of it sooner or later.
A soft sigh left your lips, and the noise shot straight between his legs. A low grumble left his throat while he rolled his body so he was partially above you. Sharing kiss after kiss with you felt like dream after dream.
He wanted to take it a little further, with your approval, but like they say. All good things come to an end, right?
"Get off of her!" Eugene nearly screamed when he heard Maggies voice. Jumping to his feet like a scared cat as he stared at your older sister with wide eyes. His hands flew up in defense when he saw the machete in her hands and he wondered if maybe he should have asked her if this was okay. Was he going to die?
"Maggie! Stop it, he wasn't hurting me," you shouted at your older sibling, and she shook her head. "The hell do you think yer doin'? We don' know him!" She hissed, and you scowled. "He listens to me," you snapped, "Plus, you obviously trust them enough to have me come along with you and Glenn on this mission!" you argued back, watching as your arms lowered her weapon and he attention was no longer on Eugene, it was on you.
"Maggie, what's going on?" Glenn asked, and Eugene looked at the man with a pale expression. Abraham and Rosita retreated from their corner to see what the commotion was all about as well.
"I kissed her," Eugene spoke, finger pointing at you to clarify who he was talking about. "It was all my idea. She was cold so I offered my jacket and to lay beside her to help regulate her body temperature. Then she asked me to hold her an dI asked if I could kiss her. It was all consensual! I would never take advantage of a woman like that," he blabbered in attempts to get you and himself out of this sticky situation. All eyes landing on the two of you.
Abraham looked impressed, Maggie had a look that could kill, Rosita was shocked, Glenn was dumbfounded, and Tara was clapping. "Get it, Eugene," she hooted with a snicker, and Maggie shot her a glare that had her throwing her arms up and retreating. "too soon, my bad, horrible with these situations," Tara mumbled, and you bit your lower lip to fight back a chuckle.
Maggie looked back at Eugene with this gaze that had him wanting to throw himself outside to the walkers rather than deal with her rage, but he didn't say anything. He just stood there and stared at the girl with a worried gaze of his own. Doing all in his power to seem strong for you.
"Maggie, I'm an adult, I'm not a little girl anymore. I haven't been since before all this apocalypse stuff started," you spoke to your sister in a calming tone, and she nodded. "Fine, but he hurts you, I don't care what information he knows. He's a dead man," her voice was venomous, and she was looking back at you with a similar scowl. "And you, don't do anything stupid. I trust you, don't disappoint me," you nodded, understanding Maggie's worries for you. All she had left was you, and you knew she'd be protective over you until one of you was to go.
Everyone slowly retreated back to their positions. Maggie taking over Glenns watch while Glenn went to bed. Tara back in her sleeping spot and Rosita was lingering waiting for Abraham to join her.
"Didn't think ya had it in ya, Gene," Abe piped, hitting the brunette's shoulder with a toothy grin. "Well, uh, I reckon I never did. I just talked enough that it got me a kiss," he spoke, and the ginger snickered. "Whatever, congratulations, you my friend. Landed yourself a nice piece of ass," he told him with a salute and wink before heading back to bed with Rosita.
Eugene cringed at the other man's phrasing. You were far from a piece of ass to the scientist. You were a friend, a companion. He wanted you to be the person he could rely on when he needed a comforting hand, not just someone to get his rocks off. Though he wouldn't be complaining if you and he did do a little more than just kiss, he'd never push it from you. He'd happily just be in a relationship with you without sex if that was truly what you desired.
His attention was drawn back to you when you said his name. Turning in his spot to find you back on the ground with his jacket over you. Your arm was outstretched towards him, luring him back to bed. He couldn't say no to that. Even if he was dead terrified of your sister, and even Glenn. He could never say no to you. He found a reason to live rather than just being scared of dying, and he'd be damned if he denied you something as simple as lying beside you. He was finally at peace and happy with everything, his only concern was how you'd react when you found out he wasn't actually a scientist. Those were thoughts for another time, though, because right now. He had a date with you and sleep.

Alone || The Start Of Something

Jesus and Maggie had searched for Sasha, after not finding her body anywhere in sight.
After she was brought back, now at peace, a funeral was held for her sacrifice but as well as the other people they had lost, their lives had given everyone else a chance.
Daryl and Natalia went to the infirmary as soon as they were able to, to see Rosita, who Tara had managed to bandage up, she had been shot in the chest, but it looked like she was going to pull through, Rosita Espinosa was the toughest son of a bitch there was.
When they had got there, Michonne was in the bed beside her, she was alive, but badly injured.
Natalia was suffering chest pains with how overwhelmed she was, she had sat between both their bed, making sure that they made a full recovery, anything they needed, she got.
She had also taken the time to read some of Denise's books, on the notes she had set aside for Evie, wanting to learn more about the best she can do to help them, they were going to war, they'd need as much medical care they could get, especially out on the field.
It had taken two weeks for the three communities to come together and hash out the plan to end the Saviours for good.
Natalia was glad that she'd be doing the behind the scenes work, along side Daryl, and far away from Shiva, she may have saved Carl's life, but she couldn't get over it.
Tara and Carol were in charge of tracking the walkers they were going to lead to the Sanctuary.
Rick, Maggie and Ezekiel were going to march the communities to the Sanctuary rallying them up for the fight ahead.
Daryl's and Natalia's job for the moment, was taking out the lookouts.
Natalia had shot down the man stood on the perch, as the sun was starting to rise.
He had fallen to the ground, allowing a female walker to devour him.
"Nice shot." Daryl commented.
"I wanna get a picture of this." Natalia put her hands in a box shape looking at the sun rise. "Eves wants to start exploring with water colours."
Their next victim was a blond man on top of a car, smoking a cigarette.
Daryl grabbed the man, shoving him to the ground, piercing his skull with a knife.
The pair sat on the car, sharing the cigarette as Daryl examined the gun the man was carrying.
"That was hot, baby." She kissed his cheek.
The next man was outside a research facility, a few walkers had grasped his attention, allowing Natalia to walk up to him.
"Hi" She greeted, smiling as he looked back at her in surprise, she then slit his throat before he even had time to realise.
"Got a little..." Daryl licked his thumb, wiping at her cheek, where some blood had splattered on her.
When they had all been taken out, Daryl rode to the highway, Natalia on the back of his motorcycle, where they met with Tara, Carol and Morgan.
Natalia was bummed that Rosita and Michonne couldn't join in, but they were still healing from their injuries, they'd help defend Alexandria, though at the same time, she was glad they weren't in the face of danger, even if they were two of the most badass people alive, she knew Carl wanted to come as well, but he was still just a kid, she had promised to give the three all her gory details when she got back, because they'd made her promise she was coming back, which she always did.
"So..." Carol said, as they waited around. "Any plans for after this?"
Natalia looked at Daryl, shaking her head with a shrug.
"A long nap, maybe." She thought out loud.
"Eat." He added.
"Was thinking, more for your futures, together."
Tara raised her brows at the awkward question, walking away with her twizzler in her mouth.
"Uhm..." She was stumped. "I don't think so, just kinda taking it day by day, y'know?"
"So, no kids, any Dixon heirs?"
Natalia choked on her spit at the question, coughing as she bent over.
Daryl patted her back as he glared at his best friend.
"Nah" He told her.
"We have one, already, and she's a handful, do not want to go through any of that... nasty stuff, I am very happy, we both are, right?"
"I ain't bringing anything into this world" Daryl declared, the thought of Natalia having to go through what Lori did, or what had happened before with her two other babies, was enough to make him feel dizzy and sick, not like he thought about it much, before. Evie was enough, and the perk was that they took her in at a good age, after all the hard stuff.
"Here we go." Tara grabbed their attention. "10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1."
No walkers had appeared.
"Shit." She cursed.
"You had one job." Natalia sighed.
"Hey, I tried, alright." She put her hands up in surrender.
"No. There." Daryl pointed ahead.
They were arriving.
"Okay. Close enough." Tara shrugged.
"Alright, let's go." Daryl told them, mounting his bike. "Nat, come on."
"I thought you told her before that we were a no-go." She muttered to him when she got on behind.
"I did. Since when does she ever listen to me?"
When they had got to their second destination, they got to work on setting the trap, cutting off the people who came for the exploded car on the highway.
"How close are we?" Carol asked, as they stood on the small walkway bridge.
"Close." Daryl answered.
An walker had stumbled into view, heading for their trap.
"Shit. Could that thing set it off?" Tara asked.
"Got it." Morgan claimed, jogging down the steps.
He had kept his word, and soon enough, the cars came, and they exploded.
"Cool, just like the movies." Natalia mused.
Eventually, the gun fire sounded at the Sanctuary.
"It started." Carol said, as Morgan reached them at the vehicles.
"Yeah. It was always gonna be that way." Daryl replied, leaning against his bike, pulling Natalia backwards, towards him by the belt loop on her jeans.
"Hope the whole places burns down." Natalia commented, falling against him.
"Pleasure doing business with you." Tara bid them goodbye. "Natalia, as always, its always good to see you, love the outfit." She checked her out one last time.
"You too, Tara, thank you." She smiled at the awkward woman.
"Beat 'em." Morgan said, following.
"We will." Carol replied, before turning to the Dixons. "Be careful."
"Shit, this is gonna be fun." Daryl told her.
"No, it isn't" Carol refused.
"It's better than lettin' things be, though, right?"
"Yeah. It is."
"Hell yeah, best honeymoon, ever. I'm a stickler for revenge, a family trait."
"Moore's?" Carol asked.
"No." She snorted. "When my dad died, my mom sued the company for all they were worth, its how she could afford to put me in therapy, as you can tell, it's really working out for me."
"Nah, I like ya messed up." Daryl kissed her jaw, patting her thigh so they could sit on the bike properly, and leave, as Carol left.
The herd was approaching quickly.
As he drove, Natalia shot at the explosives, creating a trail for the herd to follow to the Sanctuary.
Eventually, they had reached the gathering place, everyone was accounted for, except for Gabriel.
"We can wait some more." Daryl suggested, as Rick checked his watch, again.
"We can't." Rick shook his head.
"Maybe there was traffic." Natalia shrugged.
"He stopped to get me." Rick opened up to the pair, ignoring her remark.
"How's that?" Daryl asked.
"Negan. He was on the ground. I was trying to kill him, and Gabriel stopped to get me." He explained. "We gotta start out."
"You alright?"
"This isn't about me." Rick told them.
"You see the rat and Laura, you send them my way, I got a special little treat for them." Natalia reminded.
"You got it, they're all yours." Rick patted her back.
"Hey, you sure you don't wanna come with us?" Daryl asked, him and Rick were going on their own to an outpost, to look for their weapons.
"Nope! We all got jobs to do" She told him, brushing his hair out of his face. "Me and Aaron have ours, you and Rick have yours, and then we'll meet up after."
"You're a good leader, Nat, came a long way from the loner in that house."
"You came a long way from being a deputy in Kentucky, who woke up in a coma." She pointed out, then turned back to Daryl, who she could feel the anxiety vibrating off of. "We're gonna be fine, alright, I got this, me and Aaron, wouldn't of volunteered if I didn't think we would, you just make sure you're at that spot" She tucked his hair behind his ears, creasing out the worry lines in his face.
"Yes, Ma'am." He smirked, kissing the side of her head, as he held her jaw.
"Let's go." Rick broke up, whatever they were doing, he wasn't sure what that was.
"Yeah. Alright."
Daryl whistled, gathering everyone's attention, it was time to move on to the next phase.
Now it was time to take out the outposts.
Aaron and Natalia had been put in charge of a group, taking out the people who were supposed to deal with herds.
As soon as Mara had suspected something was going on, after taking out her scouts, Natalia signalled for them to move in, guns a 'blazing.
"Spread out! Watch for breaches, you break ranks, it could all be over!" Natalia told them. "Keep 'em tight, locked in, they got bigger problems than us."
She continued shooting as the people listened to her orders.
"I knew you were destined to lead." Aaron smiled at her.
"No way, right hand, remember? We don't lead, we make the leaders plans happen." She scoffed.
"We got some coming up on my right!" Scott called.
"Stay on them, don't let them through!" Aaron instructed.
"Even if one person's out, whole thing could go up in flames, if you gotta move in, do it!" Natalia told the people around her.
They continued firing, and the Saviours continued back.
"Tobin, move in!" Aaron called.
"I can take them! Cover me!" Eric volunteered.
"No! Wait for Tobin!"
"There's no time!" He declared.
"Go! I'll help cover you" Scott said, as Natalia shot the person who was aiming for him.
Most of them were either dead or hiding, it was like a game of whack amole.
Mara had jumped from her hiding spot, shooting Tobin in the shoulder.
"Tobin!" Aaron called.
"You alright?" Natalia asked.
"I'm okay!" He told the two. "Just keep going! I'm okay!"
"Alright, everyone! The plans working, just keep at it!" Natalia advised, spotting the first few walkers getting up, the screams of the Saviours soon following.
They continued firing on the survivors.
More people were dropping, her side and theirs.
Aaron had grabbed her attention, a group of them were heading for exactly where Eric was.
He got in the car whilst Natalia got into place, he slammed the accelerator on, the car moving back, knocking the Saviours down, then Natalia took her shot, putting them down for good.
Once they were gone, Aaron was able to get to Eric, Natalia soon followed after.
"Our people... they need..." Eric's breathes were coming out laboured, he was struggling.
"Aaron." Natalia muttered, looking at the blond mans shirt.
"Oh, God. No. No, no, no, no, no, no." Aaron cried as he found the gunshot wound.
It was bleeding profusely.
Eric hadn't seemed to notice until it was pointed out, much like a cartoon.
"God, Eric. No. Eric!" Aaron struggled to keep him up.
"Get him out of here, I got this!" Natalia told him, helping the man stand. "Go!"
"Eric. Let's go." He listened to the woman, leading his boyfriend away.
"Alright, keep it smooth, look alive!" Natalia reminded. "They're getting anxious, got walkers all up and down and they're trapped, lets keep it that way. Don't get reckless."
"Hold fire! Hold fire!" A man's voice yelled to his side. "Morales wants us back inside! All forces towards the courtyard door on my mark!"
"That's where Rick and Daryl are, no matter what, you don't let them in that building" Natalia told Scott, and the few others that could hear her.
"They stopped shooting" Tobin pointed out.
"No, they stopped shooting at us."
"Alright, go, go, go!" Natalia told the people, jumping from the car and firing at anyone In sight. "Block off that door, I don't want anybody getting to it."
When some had got through, and the area was clear, Aaron had finally got back, she nodded at him, he was hesitant before he nodded back.
"Alright! everybody, move in, go, go, we're going in" She told them, jumping a car and shooting a walker, heading for the doors of the building.
"You see somebody, you shoot 'em!" Aaron instructed.
"Unless they got the white band, you shoot my husband, I'll shoot you, deal?"
"Got it" Scott nodded.
Aaron and Natalia led the people through the building, as dead bodies littered the ground.
"Teams of four, sweep the offices!" Aaron told them.
"If you think it's clear, check under tables, closets, you think you can fit in it, check it!" Natalia advised.
"Nat! Aaron!" Rick called from somewhere.
"Rick!"
"We're by the elevator!" He replied.
"Both of you?" Natalia shouted up.
"Yeah, I'm here, baby" Daryl's familiar raspy, southern accent shouted out.
"Alright, when you get down there, you be on the alert, gonna be walkers all and down it, they're gonna be busy, so get 'em whilst they're occupied, you see anyone hiding, you shoot." Natalia told the people as they cleared the building. "If you're injured, take a seat when safe, I'll take a look at you, patch you up good enough till we get back."
"Roger that!"
"Yes, Ma'am."
"Alright!"
"Live and Alert."
"Copy that, Ms Moore!"
A series of shouts came from her people.
"So much for not being a leader." Aaron told her.
"I don't like to gloat, can't make all your strengths obvious." She teased.
"Seriously, what were you before all this, I feel like not a single person knows." Aaron pried.
"I worked in a coffee shop in Savannah, back in Georgia."
"You're kidding!" Aaron looked at her.
"Not that interesting, and nothing to do with what I do now, why I don't talk about it" She said.
"Maybe we should put that council back together" Rick looked at her with an eyebrow raise. "You did good"
"Not everyone's here." She replied, glumly. "People are injured."
"And that happens, what matters right now, is we cleared this place." He walked past her, stepping away.
"Proud of ya." Daryl joined her side, although he was heavily thrown off by her confession, he couldn't even imagine her doing that with her life.
"It ain't over yet." She told him. "Come on."
The remaining group cleared the walkers and layed their dead to rest, whilst Natalia checked their injuries, making sure no one was gonna bleed out on the trip home.
Aaron had wandered off to find Eric.
He returned by himself.
Natalia sat beside him as the plan was layed out, she cleaned the blood off his hands as he gathered himself.
"It's gonna be alright." She said. "It's not going to hurt like this forever."
A baby's cry's had caught their attention.
Rick was carrying a baby girl in his arms.
"She was inside?" Tobin asked.
"She was." Rick nodded. "I have a stop to make, and Daryl's got his bike, Natalia, you going with him?"
"Yeah, she is." Daryl answered for her, as she got up to see the baby.
"Alright, then. Maybe she can go back with you or Scott." Rick told Tobin.
"She can go with me." Aaron volunteered. "I can, uh, take her to the Hilltop. She'll be safe there."
"Are you sure?" Natalia asked him, combing the baby's hair softly with her fingers.
"Eric and I were gonna go up." He told them, as he approached. "We were gonna go there after and update Maggie. So ... that's what I'm gonna do. Please. I have to."
"Yeah, that's a good idea." Natalia nodded, hugging him quickly, saying goodbye to the baby as Rick passed her to him.
"Her name's Gracie."
"Bye, Gracie." Natalia kissed the baby's head. "Send Maggie, Enid and Jesus my love." She told Aaron, kissing his cheek.
"I will. I will." He nodded, staring at the baby.
"See you back home." Rick told Daryl and Natalia, as they got ready to depart.
"Sure you wanna talk to them assholes alone?"
"Yeah. That's how it gets done."
"All right. You're gone too long, I'm gonna come lookin' for you." Daryl said.
"We will." Natalia added.
"That's the plan."
A gun shot went off, hitting the truck Rick was stood next to.
Daryl yanked Natalia down, as Rick hid behind the vehicle.
"Hey." He called out. "Hey. You're alone. You gotta be. There's not enough room for two of you behind that tree."
The couple kept a look out for any sign of movement.
"And there's a herd coming. I'm just saying. Hey, I'll tell you what. We'll make you a deal. You drop your gun and come on out... you tell us what we need to know. You do that, you can take a car. You go. You live. How about it?" Rick proposed.
"Why should I trust you?" Came a quiet voice.
"I know him, wearing yellow overalls, they call him fishie, klutz" Natalia whispered under her breath.
"'Cause I'm giving you my word. There's not a lot that's worth much these days, but a man's word... That's got to mean something, right?"
"O... Okay." He said, meekly.
He came out from behind the tree, Daryl and Natalia raised from the statue and Rick came from the truck.
"W... What do you wanna know?" He asked.
"You ever have any M2 Browning 50-caliber guns here?" Rick asked.
"We did. For a while."
"What happened to them?" Daryl asked, not so kindly.
"They got sent to another outpost yesterday."
"Tell us where, or I'm gonna shoot you in the leg and let the herd come for you." Natalia told him. "Like getting blood from a stone."
"It was Gavin's. It's west of here."
He then stood tall, looking at them unsurely.
"Can I, uh... Can... Can I go?"
Natalia shot him.
"I'm not a man." She told Rick. "my word don't mean shit to some audiences."
"Which team's at Gavin's?" Daryl asked.
"Kingdom." Natalia answered. "Carol and Ezekiel."
Natalia rode with Rick, as Daryl rode solo, they had a truck they had to chase after.
Daryl was nearing on him
The bed opened, a man shot at him, causing him to fall back, his bike sliding into the grass.
Natalia took her aim, aiming for the man in the back as Rick sped up, so she could get a clear shot.
Walkers in the road caused them to swerve, the man almost falling out of the bed.
Eventually he got back up, shooting at them again, then Natalia put him down.
Rick got beside the truck.
"You remember how to drive right?" He asked.
"Yeah, Rick!" He gave her no choice to take over, as he jumped into the passenger side of the other car.
He put down the man, driving the big truck off the side of the road.
Daryl had caught up to them.
Natalia stopped the truck, jumping out of it.
"You good?" Daryl asked her, as he got off his bike.
"Yeah." She replied, running towards where the truck fell, it was on it's side, no sight of anybody.
"Hey." Rick called, he was climbing up the bank, towards the pair who were staring at the grass.
"You okay?" Natalia asked him, when Daryl helped him up.
"Yeah, I'm alright." He nodded. "We got the guns."
"You look like Shit." Daryl told him.
Natalia looked at him, why would he say that of all things, right now.
"Let's go see if this asshole's alive."
"Stay here." Daryl told her.
"No." She answered, moving to sit down, sliding on her ass down the bank, to the truck.
"You're gonna have grass stains." He called after her.
"Really?" Rick looked at him.
"What?" He shrugged. "Man, come on."
They had found their guy, he was attempting to crawl along the floor.
Natalia stood on his hand, stopping him from grabbing the rock he tried so desperately to get to.
"Your people back in the chemical plant." Rick started. "Did you win?"
Natalia put weight on his hand, causing him to yelp as she crushed his fingers with her boot.
"No one did." He groaned, rolling over to face them, all three guns pointed at him.
"The hell's that supposed to mean?" Daryl asked.
He coughed in pain, so Daryl kicked him.
"The hell's that supposed to mean?" He repeated.
"Everyone's dead."
"Bullshit. You see it?" Natalia asked.
"No one else, you're the only one?" Rick queried.
"Me. The King. The Axe Man. And a short-haired psycho lady." He confirmed. "You did this." He wheezed. "My people... your people... they're all gone."
He continued rasping, gurgling on his blood.
Natalia shot him.
"Recognised him." She said, turning away, walking back. "Let's go get those guns."
Daryl followed her.
In one of the boxes, Rick had found a bunch of dynamite.
Daryl peeked it, grabbing a bag and filling it.
"We can use these now" He said.
"Rosita's gonna lose her shit." She chuckled.
"What?" Rick asked, looking between them.
"Well, think about it. There ain't no Kingdom no more."
"Yeah?"
"We know what we got to do." Daryl continued. "We blow open the Sanctuary, let the walkers flood in. They'll surrender."
"And If they don't, too bad, they're fresh meat." Natalia shrugged.
"Hell, we could end this by sundown."
"They have workers in there, right?" Rick stood up. "Families, too. Are there?"
Daryl thought about it.
"We'll hit the south side of the main building." He thought up. "The workers live in the north side. They'll be up the stairs before the walkers even get in."
"Rick, it's a good play." Natalia backed Daryl up.
"What if they don't?" He asked. "There are people in there who aren't fighters. Doing this could change that. Make them pick up guns and stand by the Saviours. And if the Saviours don't surrender, maybe everyone fights us. And we don't have the Kingdom anymore. We're not doing this."
Natalia thought about it, she was on the fence, she wanted the Sanctuary to come crumbling down, with every Negan worshipping Saviour in it, but the people, what it there's kids?
"No. You ain't doing this." Daryl said, hitting his chest. "Nat, come on." He grabbed her arm, pulling her away.
She followed.
Rick caught up, stopping Daryl, and in that result, stopping Natalia.
"There's a plan, and everyone's sticking to it." Rick said.
"Not everyone." Daryl rejected. "There's a lot of our people who are dead, Rick. Things change, man. Negan and that other group, this is on them. If people die, it's their fault, not ours."
Natalia felt like a pig in the middle.
"Daryl, we can't do this."
"And we got our own people to look after. I got people to look after." He pulled Natalia with him again.
"We're not doing this." Rick walked after them. "Hey. I'm not letting you do this."
Daryl let go of her, swinging back, his fist flying at Ricks face, causing him to fall to the floor.
"Daryl!" Natalia gasped.
"This ain't his choice!" He raised his voice at her.
Rick got up, tackling Daryl to the ground.
"Hey!"
Daryl got on top of him, throwing his fist again, but Rick dodged it, pushing him off him.
Natalia picked up the bag, deciding to just take it to the truck and let them get on with it, but Rick snatched it out of her hands, throwing it into the overturned vehicle.
"Rick!" She shouted at him, as Daryl threw him down, grabbing him in a chokehold. "Can you fucking stop!"
Smoke caught her attention, and then a fire.
"Fire! Fire! Move!" She shouted, running away.
"Daryl!"
"Get up!" Daryl helped Rick stand, as they followed after the woman, getting away from the explosion.
"Great." She scoffed, as metal rained down, the three watching it as they sat on the grass. "Rosita's gonna be pissed."
They had got back to the truck, Rick was having trouble starting it.
"Thought you said you could drive." He looked at her.
"I can, it's a shitty truck." She answered, she was pissed, so were the other two.
"There's a plan." Rick said. "We got to see it through."
"We gotta win." Daryl replied.
"Yeah, we gotta." Rick agreed. "Choke hold's illegal, asshole"
"Mm-hmm. Yes, it is."
"Looks like I'm walking." Rick raised his brows.
"Yep. Natalia, come on." Daryl told her, he was being very pushy, she didn't know if she minded it or not.
"I'll meet you when I'm done with the last play." Rick continued.
"You sure about doing it?" Daryl asked, as Natalia got on the back.
"Yeah, I am."
"Tell her I said hi." Natalia told Rick.
Daryl started the engine, leaving Rick, as he walked in the other direction.
"We're gonna win." Daryl told his wife, before riding off.
