a family picture - it was taken right before cindy was put away in the bunker; six year old Al & sixteen year old Cindy and their parents at the beach (i'm thankful for being saved--but i'll never get those years back)

Gerald Tommaso DeLouise (April 30, 1940 – October 8, 2023), known professionally as Burt Young. Film, stage and television actor, author, and painter. He played Rocky Balboa's brother-in-law and best friend Paulie Pennino in the Rocky film series, his performance in the first installment of which earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Television appearances for Young included The Rockford Files, Baretta, Law & Order, Walker, Texas Ranger, All In The Family, M*A*S*H, and Miami Vice. He made an appearance on The Sopranos ("Another Toothpick") as Bobby Baccalieri's father, who is dying of cancer and comes out of retirement to execute a hit on his godson, "Mustang Sally" Intile, as punishment for Intile having brutally beaten a family friend simply for chatting with Intile's girlfriend.
In a nod to his having served in the U.S. Marine Corps, he played a retired drill instructor in the short-lived 1987 ABC series, Roomies, where his character decides to go to college after his retirement. (Wikipedia)

Finn
Give me a character and I will give you my thoughts on
one aspect about them I love: The dorky/innocent way he thinks most of the time... some of the most hilarious scenes are Finn saying stuff like "I have gym!" with that dumb expression. Also the way he just believes everything Brittany says no matter how ridiculous it is. I love that he cheated from her test even though she was failing worse than he was.
one aspect I wish more people understood about them: That Finn was manipulated by Quinn in season 1 and if the truth hadn't been exposed, he would have ended up in a loveless marriage with Quinn and believing he was the father most likely for the rest of his life. Quinn knew that and still would have gone through with if even if it meant ruining Finn's life and that's wrong.

Finn would be that kid who used to watch Saturday morning cartoons. He was also obsessed with Power Rangers and He-Man for a few years. Finn would be the kid whose house everyone would go to watch cartoons.
Finn would be that person who just eats greasy pizza or chips in bed and doesn't give a damn
Finn's mom picks out his clothes even when he's a teenager (wasn't this Cory's headcanon? I may be stealing this from him)
Finn has always wanted daughters. He does end up becoming a girl dad.

one character I love seeing them interact with: Santana. Cory and Naya were like bro and sis irl and at times it translated onscreen. It's like Kevin said, the actors were kind of the male and female version of each other. Their scenes were always good because both of them had such a strong presence except for that awful cursed scene from season 1 that I so wish was retconned and trainwreck of an episode that IKAG was.
one character I wish they would interact with/interact with more: Mike. Fike is underrated. So much potential there for them to be buddies
one (or more) headcanon(s) I have that involve them and one other character:
Finn becomes a househusband for a while when he's married to Rachel. That's what he wants to do and he'd discover that not long after high school when he's trying to figure out what to do with his life. He mainly just wants to be a dad and support his wife.
Finn liked Darren much more than Burt and he hoped Darren would stay in the relationship with Carole so he was sad that it didn't work out.

There’s all this “serious comedy” now, clapter comedy, that I’m just not into because it’s not just funny, silly shit like Conan does... but then you look at Conan, and he’s this Harvard grad with depression. But he’s not up there doing like “I’m about to cry I’m so sad here’s a musical number about sadness” thing-- he’s just doing nut spoon.
Just a list of the names of the bits make me laugh so much. All the good memories of the Masturbating Bear-- just all these happy memories I have with just a Masturbating Bear in the middle of them, haha. Just remembering the guy with the chainsaw-- just night after night of that guy. Or Conan meeting his wife on the show. I’ve really gotten a lot of joy today of all the comedy nerds looking at each other and just simultaneously whispering “Walker Texas Ranger lever.” The remotes. I hadn’t even though about Joel the Announcer in years until Nikki Glaser mentioned him in that article-- they had so many characters on the old show. I went to the tour; the whole thing-- the tour was great. And I mean, him losing control over Norm Macdonald on that show during the Courtney Thorne-Smith interview-- that’s just Mount Rushmore to me... Or of course, the Celebrity Secrets???? !!!! The celebrity secrets... Or when it was Smigel doing Bill Clinton just yelling nee-ha, over and over-- jesus christ... jesus fucking christ... Triumph was the bigger bit, but Smigel’s Bill Clinton was so fucking great...
Aaaah, I don’t get comedy anymore-- I don’t get why silly, weird shit went out of fashion. I don’t get it.
(Or I mean, not even talking about Lookwell or... he had his dream TV show which he’d talk about, or I think he wrote whole essays about, which was just a show about the President of the United States solving murders...? I always wanted to see that show... Or the college pranks on Burt Ward...)
I’m just more excited he’s going to HBO though. Yeah, the fun of the show was sort of that thing of watching where bits would go-- Conan ending up in Japan because he angrily found out about the Detective Conan anime, or whatever, and things just spiraling out of control. There was a bunch of just “this bit spirals out of control” things on that show that were so great. But when you just hear him talk about comedy, and just seeing all the great stuff he’s done-- I'm just really, really excited to see him try new things. Especially because that’s worked consistently these last few years, between the podcast (especially the episodes of Dana Carvey and him just doing pure, uncut maybe-only-funny-to-them nonsense), the video game thing, the foreign shows-- when it’s a new thing that he can discover, it can really get fun in a way just seeing him excited about novelty after so many years. And I just think the HBO show’s exciting to see him do that more...
In sum: I call the big one bitey.

My favorite moment: Barole's wedding. It was so sweet. Also Burt being ready to kick Karofsky's ass. And omg Sue's wedding to herself is hystericaaal. And this is about the only time everyone actually wanted to stand up for Kurt. Too little too late but still. Also this ep features the only valid bridesmaids dresses on the show
My least favorite moment: Finn's punk ass is the only one that doesn't stand up for Kurt. Saying he can do more good for him if he's on the football team, so he doesn't want to risk his position. Clown. Also he doesn't want to have a mother son dance with Carole at her wedding until he's like "If I can pull it off, it'll make me seem like a cool stud" 🤡
My favorite character: Burt and Carole! So happy for them
