Joshua wasn’t the sentimental type, he wasn’t even really the loving type any more; but somehow and in some way, watching you dodge everything he had, every pretty word you could spill into someone’s ear to lick at their desire, had a flame burning so bright in his gut he was sure he was going nuclear from the inside out. Mistakes were often made at stupid times of the day but having you standing with him at this dinky little bar felt like the world was clicking into a place that was untouched even by him. So, as he slid his hand across the bar to touch yours, he wasn’t sure what to expect from that pretty little mouth of yours.

“Do you get off on people telling you to go away?” Your eyebrow raised at him, looking from him down to the hand that swallowed yours in size, warm and calloused from the guitar he always had strapped to him, “Or are you a glutton for punishment?” He smirked at that.

“I’m not often the one being punished, I will admit,” His words curled around his smirk, purring out like he was reciting sonnets, “But I will admit, you do intrigue me.” His thumb brushed the topside of your hand gently.

“Art intrigues people as do books,” You leaned closer to him, flicking your eyes down from his to his lips, “I don’t intrigue you; you just want someone to warm your bed for the night.” You tutted softly.

He had to admit, you had something about you that could make even a grown man shake, eyes strong and confident and words twice as sharp; He would enjoy breaking you if you’d let him.

“Two people that want each other should give into desire, right?” He purred softly, lifting his free hand to touch under your chin moving your head up just a fraction to look into his eyes, “And believe me, darling, people intrigue me much more than words or splotches on a page”

You merely smirked back at him.

“And who says I want you, pretty boy?” You slapped his hand away softly, with no malicious intent but pure teasing, much like the look in your eyes.

Despite being labeled nothing more than a “sleazy lover boy” who had a body count higher than his band's record sales, Joshua was actually as respectful as anyone could be, his mother raised him right even if he acted wrong. When he leaned in closer, bypassing your face to hum gently into your ear, lips barely skimming the skin to talk to you closer than he had down all night, he felt a sense of joy well up in him at the shiver that danced across your skin. But If it affected you more than that to have his cool breath rolling down your neck, you did a fantastic job of not showing it.

“You’ve been sitting with me for about 2 hours, angel…” He spoke softly into your ear, making sure to say every word as carefully as he would when he was singing, “If a part of you didn’t want me, I assume you would have left after the first hello.”

What he didn’t expect however was to feel your nose bumping into his jaw as you turned your head closer to him, his own eyes briefly catching yours looking up at him through your lashes.

“Maybe I like the attention more than I like you?” You laughed faintly, finger tapping the bar “Or maybe I like the look that reporter is giving me from across the bar, I did always wonder what it was like to be on the cover of a magazine.”

Kyo glanced around in confusion as more people seemed to join her little escort back towards the main base. Where were all of these people coming from? She groaned internally and made a mental note to speak with the staff of the base later. They were a military base, surely they weren't just letting civilians wander around willy nilly.

She looked back over at Nat, eyes resting on him for a moment in recognition of the somewhat familiar face, before she turned and began to walk off, motioning for the others to follow.

"I assure you, we couldn't be more different," Kyo said, "It was... a rather unfortunate design choice. Though, it was undoubtedly intentional on the part of the politicians who founded the program in the first place. Anyone involved in the field knows how fond they are of acronyms and vague symbolism. Though I suppose at least this acronym was... unique," she added with a grumble.

Kyo waved her hands a bit as she spoke. "I doubt I need to tell either of you this, but for the sake of clarity, allow me to give a small history lesson. Team Rocket, the individuals with the black uniforms and red Rs, was a rogue black market organization whose entire purpose was to exploit Pokémon and people for profit. After their attempted takeover of the Silph Corporation, their leader, Admin Carr, was arrested. Those that were not arrested that day fled to the Johto region, where they are currently seeking asylum.

"The WHT RCKT program, or the White Rockets as we're more colloquially known, was founded in direct response to this and the rising tensions that followed. We are a counter-force, if you will, who work to rehabilitate and assist those who suffered at the hands of Team Rocket."

Kyo pushed up her glasses and looked over her shoulder at Nat. "Does that answer your question? I would rather you not regard us with suspicion during future visits, if at all possible."
