This is a poem on how my job is adversely affected by the poor service of Vodafone Idea (Vi). Here is the content:
A day in Recruitment
Is full of phone calls
Mostly to candidates
Whether it be prospective candidates
To whom you have to pitch a job opportunity
Or existing candidates
Whose interviews you have to schedule
Of course, it’s not all about candidates
You have to converse with…
Something so stressful about making a campaign featuring children in which it is reinforced time and again that they cannot trust the adults around them that are supposed to be guiding figures of authority and that asking adults for help can and will put them in direct danger
my sister sent me the dialogue (credits to the person who wrote it, I have not been able to find their @), and …… I just couldn't resist the temptation 🤷🏻♀️
man… I love to imagine what their lives would be like as roommates!!
Sidney got bored in her semi-retirement and convinced Alton the house needed renovating, she promised him they'd get a TV if he let her aaha 📺
Luckily for Al, before she had chance to get restless again, Oscar bought that wreck of a house.. so she has something to keep her occupied for now lmao
He'll help too, but he needs a week long nap in front of the new TV first 😴
Fun fact.. you can just about see Oscar's house from Salton's place 🤭
Today, as Google Maps led me from the nice clean straight asphalt roads to take a "short cut" through 40km of dingy and frankly kinda scary dirt roads in the middle of nowhere forest with no living soul about, roads which were both frozen, snowy, slushy, muddy and covered in potholes and added about an extra hour to my trip and nice thick layer of dirt on my car, I had an idea.
Transmigrator getting their GPS highjacked by a System which then merrily leads them off the beaten path and into times/worlds unknown, with a car and various luggage/groceries/vacation stuff with them along for the ride. And the Transmigrator has no idea it's even happening before it's too late because it's not a place they know and GPS is supposed to know where they're going, right? And now their car is possessed by a System.
Like seriously, for about an hour there I saw not a single thing of infrastructure. I could've driven through decades of time and not seen it...
Just finished Network Effect and it’s such a mood. I read it digitally and it’s really funny seeing the bits that are popular enough for people to go, ‘Yes, this,’ and bookmark.
Two of my personal faves:
Overse added, “Just remember you’re not alone here.” I never know what to say to that. I am actually alone in my head, and that’s where 90 plus percent of my problems are.
There is a lot about what is going on here that I don’t understand. But I am participating anyway.
Maybe it's just that I have exquisite taste in followers and only follow people with exquisite taste, but in 2023 I see lots of Elementary and posts about how great it was and BBC Sherlock only comes up as a punchline. The arc of history truly bends towards justice.
