I have since decided; here's a list of all of my current ESO characters!
------
1. Ebonymist - My main and longest running Vestige. She's a Khajiit Nightblade with a black tabby coat and baby blue eyes. Eye of the Queen and Champion of Anequina and Blackwood. Bows and arrows are her specialty, along with alchemy (specifically Invisibility potions) and lockpicking. However she's not part of the Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood.
She's a very sweet and motherly Khajiit who firmly believes in the Found Family trope. Her friends are her family, her gaggle of pets are her family, Taznasi and co. from The Stitches are her family, etc. Her most recent "adoptees" are Fennorian, Ember, and Isobel. Razum Dar and her were as close to being a couple without actually being a couple. Now Ebonymist is working up the nerve to confess her feelings to Bastian Hallix.
She tends to be more on the sentimental side, holding on to anything of value (like her Urn from Coldharbor, a shield that was gifted to her by a friend who fell in battle, Jakarn's dagger he gave as thanks for helping, the like). As well as pretty much any remotely shiny object or fascinating knick knack she finds. She collects.
2. Brenda Steel-Heart - Tall, blonde, can hold her mead, and can swing a greatsword with the best, Brenda is a Nordic Dragonknight warmaiden. She is fiercely loyal to the Ebonheart Pact and her homeland of Eastern Skyrim. In fact Brenda's loyalty is so strong and she's helped the cause so much, Prince Irnskar has dubbed her "The King's Arrow".
The concept of family and friends is weird to her- she doesn't remember her biological family (since Mannimarco wiped her memories), and she moves around so much she doesn't have time to make friends. Instead she considers her fellow Pact soldiers her Shield Brothers and Sisters. Centurion Gjakil and his wife Irna are the closest thing Brenda has to a "family" family, after she helped save their farm. (And her dogs, of course! All five of them.)
As far as romance goes, her heart is open. Woman or man, lady or lord, Dunmer or Nord, she doesn't care. Strangely enough she has a thing for Dark Elves. Specifically one Morag Tong assassin. Which would definitely be breaking some protocols if word got out, so they have a long distance relationship and exchange letters as often as they can.
3. Ursalie Fanstiana - Bretons are known for their innate ability for magic. Ursalie is no exception. She is a skilled mage in her own right, though she is just starting out and getting her feet under her. "Dark" magic and crystal magic seems to be her specialty, but she has been known to summon the odd unstable minor daedra or two (whether its intentional or not is unknown).
She is terribly shy and has always had trouble making friends. Her summoned familiars are her more preferred company, though she's been making more efforts to open up more. Unfortunately her lack of experience in friendships has led to a few mishaps of not reading the room; Poor Ursalie has fallen for Jakarn's silky smooth words on more than one occasion, and Darien Gautier's shameless flirting has had her staying up overthinking conversations more times than she cares to admit. Crafty Lerisa has been helping her though.
Ursalie is the least developed of my Vetiges, as I haven’t played much of the Daggerfall Covenant storyline yet but I still adore her.~
4. Reldaleyna and Peliion - Reldaleyna comes from a long line of respectable Altmer mages. From a young age she excelled at the arcane arts, and was trained by her grandparents in the art of upper echelon etiquette and borderline royalty manners. She is very popular amongst her family's circle of nobles.
Peliion, on the other hand, is a feral gremlin of a Wood Elf with absolutely no concept of social graces or presence of manners. He claims he was raised "in the woods" (which would not be entirely unusual for a Bosmer, but he also claims he was raised by wolves). Thankfully very few people take his claims seriously.
They are dating and very much in love.

he survives though, but as he thought he was going to die, he really thought "I can't go without telling them"

So I personally feel like we didn’t actually interact with Jakarn as much as it seemed we would have, he also was not as bad as he was in the prologue.
I am a bit disappointed because I was hoping to learn more about Jakarn, the siqe quest in Northern Elsweyr with him sort of insinuated there’s a reason he doesn’t get close to people. I thought towards the end we were going to get something, since we hear his voice crack when he finds Lady Arabelle unharmed and she asks him what’s wrong, but instead we get him more or less running away from those emotions.

A few Lavinia and Petra facts:
- Kind of an obvious one, but Lavinia was the one who named Petra. Just picked a name she liked for the first, and then she’d obviously known her dad’s name for the last.
- Re: Petra’s dad, she *could* have tracked down his family in theory, but for all she knew they could have also been worm cult sympathizers, and she wasn’t willing to take that risk. She hadn’t know him well, but she didn’t like him, and absolutely didn’t trust him or his family
- At first Lavinia felt the need to convince people that Petra was actually her child, until she realized no one really cared, or put any thought into it whatsoever. By the time they reach mainland Tamriel onward, she never once claimed Petra was hers, and no one ever questioned it.
- Early on, when she was relying on the good graces of Captain Kaleen’s crew for childcare, Lavinia caught Jakarn using Petra to try and pass himself off as a single dad in attempt to add to his entourage of admirers. She was furious, but she couldn’t really stay mad seeing as he actually wasn’t. doing half bad a job of it.

No tag requests from me, but I AM very interested in why you dislike Jakarn so much. Especially since you love Darien, who is very similar. This isn't like passive aggressive or anything, I am actually interested!
I can def see where the confusion might be on why I like darien but not like jakarn, especially since for a bit in the eso fandom I liked to joke that jakarn was just Crimes Darien lol. But I do see a difference between the two that I like to think isnt just my bias toward darien being my main's husband
It's kind of a three parter tho. 1) is that, as an ace person and quote unquote woman, I dont like men flirting with me without my consent. All of Darien's quips, to my knowledge and memory, required the player to initiate with the pursuade passive locked dialogue. He'd sometimes make a comment about boobs or whatever but I never felt like he was Leering at me or my character, and especially not without their consent. Also darien had a lot to his personality besides being a flirt and could turn it off pretty easily. With Jakarn... he cant go one sentence without calling the player good looking. That makes me uncomfortable. And while I havent played the prologue yet, I've heard that his characterization with respects to That is dialed up to 100. I didnt sign up for being flirted with constantly on my characters I plan to do high isle on. Theres just a slight difference in the vibes I feel off of those boys that makes me not find jakarn charming.
2) this is just petty in game interactions but I was at the point of Elsweyr main quest on my stamplar izzy where his quest triggers and had to listen to him fall through the window and call her good looking every time I did my writs for Months. Izzy is a lesbian. It made me want to decapitate him with her big sword. Stop flirting with my lesbian character dont even look at her. I'm also petty for another reason of associating him with someone I'm no longer on speaking terms with and it just tainted jakarn for me.
3) at full risk of delving into discourse, jakarn being canon bisexual while also being a serial cheater and liar has always made me not really love having to see him in game. This is less of an issue with Him and more an issue I take with the fact he's one of the few explicitly bisexual men in TES (not going after ZOS or ESO, including other tes games because they Certainly dont have bisexual representation either), shown to be into men and women (including and separate from the player), and he's not really great representation! I just dont like seeing him for that.
Overall its just that I dont actually see them as similar beyond them being slightly flirty breton men with the same hair. They're very different personality wise and I think a lot of Darien's reputation as a flirt is exaggerated simply because I was big in tesblr, liked him, and people didnt like me. Jakarn has less of a reputation in the fandom and people only had to deal with him in smaller doses before. so we will see how he takes to getting the Summerset Darien treatment for visibility.
Also this isnt me knocking anyone who Does like jakarn. I dont see people as problematic for liking him or liking aspects of him and taking bits and pieces to fit into their own canon. And I think people deserve a space to enjoy that character without being surrounded by I HATE THEM THEYRE DIGUSTING I WANT THEM TO DIE PAINFULLY like so much of tesblr has done about darien

what makes vestige!Raz different from bog standard Raz? 👀 i am 100% here for heartbroken heroes who Came Back Wrong and Can't Go Home Again
Oohhhhhh okay okay WELL I made Raz as just sort of a blank slate because I thought it'd be like Skyrim and I wouldn't really get any sort of attachment to the player character. The original Raz - Rashieka - was my Sunspear in Guild Wars Nightfall a good 16 years so I thought she'd be a good stand in and it wouldn't matter that I wasn't planning on giving her much of a backstory or personality
SHE HAD OTHER PLANS
She started as just a plain goody two shoes because I struggle to make the bad choices in games unless I set out to do it, and the only thing that really stuck out hard was that she HATED necromancy. I thought it was just because she was a Redguard, but it seemed like more than that, and then I thought it was the whole being sacrificed by necromancers thing, but it still felt like more than that
And then I got to Alik'r, and Sentinel was under attack from Suturah's sons and I went... oh, oh she's Suturah's daughter. It made so much sense, this powerful necromancer sorceress who had outshone her brothers and had drawn the attention of evil across the realms, heir to her father's power and cut down in an act of rancid sibling rivalry when her brothers traded her to Mannimarco for more power and prestige in his future coup, and I was like, that's it, that's why she hates necromancy
BUT THEN HE HAD A DAUGHTER CANONICALLY AND I CRIED WHEN I FOUGHT HER AND SUTURAH because it felt like she was actually killing her sister and her father and her past but none of that is what the question was but it WAS a lead up to it because
Razieka al-Suturah was a vain, powerful, arrogant, gorgeous woman who knew that she had the power to topple kingdoms and wanted more of it. She was vain enough to consider herself Mannimarco's equal
Raz the Vestige is quiet. Still. Sometimes if you aren't paying attention to her and forget that she's there, it's easy to be surprised by her because she just. Doesn't move. Doesn't emote. Does she laugh? No one has seen it, although god knows Jakarn and Darien and others took it as a challenge. When she sleeps, it's hard to tell if she's breathing, and she's scared the shit out of people more than once who thought she was a corpse
She's fucking powerful, but she just doesn't care. She wants to help everyone she meets, and she hates necromancy with everything in her, the only time where she comes close to emoting
Alik'r was hard for her, because people recognised her when she didn't even know who she was herself. She was spat on, had curses hurled at her, because her face was one that stalked the nightmares of the Redguard people even if the woman wearing that face wasn't the same person anymore
Is she dead? She's sort of the opposite, isn't she? What's the opposite of death if it isn't life? And if she gets her soul back... who is she going to be on the other side?

(slight spoilers for the ESO high isle global reveal if you havent watched it yet and want to see stuff for yourself!!) didnt write up the reaction post i initially planned re:the High Isle reveal stream bc i havent felt well but the way i yelled when i saw Captain Kaleen as the questgiver in the postshow preview of the Coral Aerie dungeon!!
i was hoping so much that we'd get to see Kaleen again and i do feel a bit of disappointment that so far it seems like we're only reconnecting with her for the purpose of rescuing Jakarn (and i love that Jakarn's coming back i just wish they'd give Kaleen her own thing) im reeeeeally hoping we still get to see her play a larger role in June or even later in the year, imo they didn't accentuate her character growth enough in base game - the last time the player is directed to specifically talk to her is in Rivenspire via the quest you pick up from Nicolene in Shornhelm's inn, and i feel like its a safe assumption that some people who don't know where she ends up in Sentinel dont know she has dialogue there where she expresses regret over how she wanted to handle the Betnikh relic + how she ended things w/Lambur, and it's always just bugged me that that we never get to actually see her reach that conclusion? like the modicum of character growth she gets is both fast-tracked and sidelined, and considering that she literally dives into the ocean to pluck your Vestige from the sea before she even knows you + is the first Covenant character you really get to meet, ive been rly frustrated that they havent brought her back at all - like Lerisa got her quest in the Kvatch/Gold Coast and Jakarn got his in Rimmen/N.Elsweyr + is returning again this year. i rly thought we were gonna have to wait for a Redguard-centric dlc to even see her mentioned since she sails for King Fahara'jad now but theyve been doing her dirty from a writing perspective for years and im just glad theyre acknowledging her at all.
