I haven't finished this game yet but holy hell is it good. (pls no spoilers guys🙏)

I knew about Disco Elysium for quite a while, very briefly, I knew it's some kind of dark detective game but I never attempted to actually experience it. Until now, few days ago. I'm not far, like day 2 and I'm slowly making my way further, I'm taking my sweet time with it, it has occupied my mind completely and I'm enjoying it soo damn much. I love how the game mixes these depressing and dark things with absolutely goofy scenes and dialogues, it never fails to make me burst out laughing every time I fire it up.

Emet Selch: nearly driven mad by the crushing weight of responsibility and the grief of losing his loved ones

Elidibus: driven slightly mad by the physical and psychological trauma of being a living breathing battery for the world's first summoned god

Lahabrea: driven completely mad by his batshit insane wife and evil alien pet rock

Bubby is the type of guy to go to an amusement park and see the biggest ride there and make a whole show of, “CLEARLY it’s the only ride worth going on!” But then the second he’s on the ride and actually approaching the first big drop, he very abruptly remembers ‘oh fuck im afraid of heights’

Naturally he’s screaming his head off the whole ride and Dr. Coomer wins him several carnival toys in order to make him feel better afterwards. Which is fine by him because Coomer is there to WIN regardless so this is just a plus, and maybe they go on a spinning teacup ride later if he’s feeling up for it.

And this happens every time they go to an amusement park. He never learns.
