¹ This line totally went over my head for the longest time because what is sung is “yasashii yatsu” (nice guy) but the kanji in the written lyrics is “yasashii otoko tomodachi” (nice guy FRIEND, he’s a FRIEND, hahaha we’re such GOOD FRIENDS) and it’s hilarious because the girl is 100% aware of how romantic her relationship “reads” and is firmly doing her best to anchor it to friendship (but her actual motivation in doing that is left entirely open-ended.)
