"The Night of the Rabbit: Pagecast" is SO GOOD!! Breaking my usual "drops one post in 5ever and runs" type of posting in favour of yelling in happiness about one of my favourite games getting a podcast.

What is this Pagecast, you might ask? Or better yet, what's "The Night of the Rabbit"?

Well, some people who might be following me for a while have seen me gush and even promote this game repeatedly on sales, whenever those happened on Steam. It's a story driven point and click quest/adventure fairy tale in game form, which really captures the spirit of the best games of its genre and I love it. So. Much.

From my perspective, the setting and the story felt reminiscent of stories like Redwall, Frog and Toad, or most of all – Mousewood feeling like it was plucked out of Wind in the Willows.

Matt Kempke has done a stellar job making a sweet, short story feel like a big adventure from a child's perspective; Mathias Fischer, Olga Andriyenko and Simone Kesterton brought out the fantastic art, animation, and most visual flair to the game; Tilo Alpermann woven the soundtrack into most charming pieces that I still listen to every so often; and so many more other people! Of the, khm, unfortunate Daedalic Entertainment fame. Which you might've heard of because of the Gollum failing really hard. But I, personally, believe it's because Daedalic as a company has always been best at making wonderful point and click adventures, which you might've heard of! Like the Edna & Harvey series, Deponia, a game adaptation of Ken Folett's The Pillars of the Earth, and many more! Which is kind of why I am always rooting for a proper adventure/quest game from them.

But what I'm recommending today isn't a game. It's a podcast. And one written and voiced by Matt Kempke himself! It's a series related to the world, but do not spoil the game, so you can just jump right in without playing; it also has wonderful soundscaping, Tilo Alpermann's music, and a lyrical outro, which uses the game's main theme!!
